Hard teacher, needs to lighten up

He's a know it all. He knows his stuff, but he doesn't know how to teach it to beginners.
Not very nice, not very helpful, makes you feel like an idiot, etc. Nothing good about this class or this professor. However, if you can get past this professor, the rest of the ACC program should be a breeze.
He is arrogant and treats everyone like idiots. I would suggest not taking him.
Material is difficult, and he doesnt like to stay in touch with his students. This class is one you should take if you like to learn on your own from the book, since he is a little difficult to comprehend. He Doesnt define terms as well as he should.

He is a very poor professor who takes out his bitterness on his students. He constantly criticizes students, and boasts about himself. Very annoying...if you take this course... expect to do everything on your own.
I despise the class.He goes way to fast through the power points,keeps handing out tests instead of slowing down and figuring out why the test averages are in the mid 60's range. Accounting is difficult enough for beginners.2words: condescending ****.

Accounting is a tough class to teach and learn, if you do the work he assigns and STUDY the material for the tests, its not that difficult to get through. I got an A, and if I can do it anybody else can.
the worst teacher i have EVER had. I am an accouting major and even I don't recommend him to anyone. Don't even think about asking questions bc in his world everyone knows or should know everything about accoutning already. Very unhelpfull!
Whoever rated he was helpful that was totally wrong! He was not helpful and made you feel that you were the stupiest person in the world. He should work in a jail rather than a university. He sure can make you feel "bad" for the whole semester

He's not that bad. Tests are hard, but if you study for a few days, you can get an A in the class like I did. Just takes a little bit of work. Dont discourage Terry, you did a hell of a job.
First of all, if you think you are going to get a B in this class, you'll probly fail. This guy makes accounting a nightmare. If possible dont take this guy. Bless your heart if you decide to take this dork.

He's really not as bad as everyone is making him out to be, he's not the spawn of Satan of accounting! He could improve on explaining things more and speaking louder. otherwise he's a real nice guy, has a good sense of humor, and the exams aren't too hard
Dr. Arndt is a good person....not a good teacher. Tests are hard if you don't study. When he says Accounting isn't something you can study the day of the test LISTEN! If you don't like pop quizzes, you won't like his class

This guy may be short, but he makes up for it with his ego. He is very stuck on himself and he shows that when teaching. He barely explains anything and expects you to know everything. A lot of work, avoid taking him for this class.

This guy is a jerk when it comes to teaching. I've had test reviews where when I asked a question, he said, just read it in the book. He is the most unhelpful professor I've ever come across. Frequent quizes and group work are the only upsides.

This is the worst Professor I have ever had in my college history thus far. This guy needs to find another job, he doesn't even have any passion for teaching.
Don't take him! Every time I come out of this class my head is spinning. He really doesn't teach. I get most if not all of my notes out of my book and I pretty much teach myself.

This is a class where you have to learn everything yourself. Even through the 15 min that he does lecture in class it talks to fast, and he already has everything writtin on the board so he just points at it and talks very fast. "pick a different instructor..."
Great guy, very funny, Make sure to take ACC 101 first if youve never taken accointing before. Over all a great teacher
He must have changed from previous semesters looking at old reviews. Very nice man who takes time to answer all questions, and always offers to help outside of class. Tests are of average difficulty, and he does a good job at making things clear. I hated accounting before, would strongly sugest him.
He is not as bad as people say. He teaches you it but he expects you to read and do the hw and i think that is lot of peoples problems. They dont do the hw and if he sees that he snaps at you because he expects you to be ready. Hes a good teacher, with another teach i failed it, with him i can do it
You must teach yourself all the material. Don't expect him to tell you how to do things in class. Class is a waste of time and he expects you to know everything before you come to class. You work in groups to go over h/w and that is how you learn. Which doesn't help. Gives pop quizzes & tests r bad
Good Ol' Terri! Funnier than ****! Always makes the class laugh. Easy tests, but be careful of those pop quizes. Go to class, DO THE HOMEWORK & you are gonna do just fine... I expect that most will get an A! GOOOOOOO TERRRIII

He is not quite as bad as other people say he is. He can seem a little rude at times, but I learned a lot about accounting in this class and am doing well in it.

Not so easy. Doesn't spend a lot of time on things, talks quickly, and sometimes hard to understand concepts. Do the homework, it helps a little and is the only tool used for explination. I ended up with a B- but it was a struggle, I'd suggest a different prof if possible.
He is a very hard professor. He expects you to always have your homework finished and to have the chapters read all the time. Watch out for the pop quizzes and study every night for this class. I would suggest a different instructor if you do not want to be stressed out in accounting! Get a tutor!
Wow this guy is horrible!!! Take another teacher. He once told me before an exam that he didn't have time to help me, During his office hours.
Terry is a short rich little man. He will make sure to let everyone know just how much he has. However, go to class and suck up to him, and I am sure you will do just fine.Thats what I did, and I passed the class with a C and didnt pass any exams..
He is a pretty good teacher, just be sure to read the chapters and do the homework and you should do fine. The tests aren't hard if you've read and attempted the homework problems. People who haven't done so really struggle and fail, which is why they hate him.
Accounting is hard, but he's a great professor and knows his stuff. Also a funny guy. Don't be afraid to ask for help, most people don't know what's going on as well. If you read the chapters carefully, finish the homework and keep reviewing every night you should be fine.
Worst teacher in the state of Michigan. I am a 4.0 student and I would change my major if I had to take another class with him. I would suggest dropping his class if you are enrolled in it, because you will end up dropping out later on (or just plain failing).

HORRIBLE, makes you feel stupid when you ask questions, he has no patience what so ever. Teaches extremely fast, and has not sympathy for those who have never taken accounting before. A very hard paper at the end of semester, annalyzing statements, UGHH. I feel bad for his wife.

Hi guys who ever is taken the class of this retarded guy drop it. He is rude, his exams are very hard, he is non co-operative and not at all helpful. I would rather recommend to take the class of any other professor rather then taking his. He would be the last person on planet earth whom I would suggest to other students.
This class is somewhat difficult, but Dr. Arndt isn't as mean or hard as people are saying.. just dont be disruptive and put some effort into it
Even thoough he liked me a lot, it didn't help. He is very difficult. You really have to teach yourself (somehow) using your book. his tests are rediculous and he thinks everyone knows how to do the problems just because one smart person up front knows the answer. Terry is just fine. Accounting is not an easy topic- you must not skip class, and you must participate in class and DO THE HOMEWORK! If you study, his quizzes are easy; tests are hard but just study a little and you will be fine. He will treat you well if you actively participate (and he knows who is who).
Terry Arndt may appear to be a sweet old man...but don't be easily fooled. He means well, but is uncapable of teaching this subject to people who have never taken an Accounting course before. If you like to learn on your own on a totally new topic, then this is your man...if not, good luck!
I went to class everytime, took all the notes, and everything else I was required to do and it was the hardest class I've ever been in. Had to drop it to save my GPA.
He is a pretty nice guy. He knows who comes to class and who doesn't.Going to class helps you out with a participation points at the end. There are quizzes every 2-3 chapters, homework isn't mandatory but doing it will help out alot. The tests are close to impossible at times, but if he knows u tried, he'll up your final grade a bit.
Worst professor. Take any of the others if you want to keep your GPA intact. He is demeaning and not at all helpful. STAY AWAY FROM THIS CLASS
This class is challenging, but not impossible if you actually use your brain for once and put in some effort. Do the homework or else you'll be lost. There are some pop quizzes, but they're always at the end of the class period and they're on whatever you just went over in the class that day, so if you pay attention, you should be fine.
Worst Professor I've ever had! He Barely teaches. Anything he teaches you can learn from the book. He puts stuff on the exams that he doesn't go over in class or in homework. Good Luck to all who have/will have him.

I love this professor! Everybody hates him because he is very hard, but he knows what he is talking about, and if you have previous knowledge about Accounting, you do just fine. I'm an Accounting major, and I got an A. No big deal!

The worst accounting teacher i ever had. Doesn't know how to teach, he just always says are you with me on that? and cant even read what he writes on the board. he tell you to study things not even on the test. half the class dropped and failed stay away if you can.

I get 100% on all the quizzes but he makes his tests impossible on purpose. He's not THAT bad. Hes actually pretty nice and pretty fair. he drops your lowest test and throws out a couple of your bad quizzes. Gives out helpful chapter handouts too.
Avoid this teacher, he is the hardest teacher I have ever had! It's too hard to even explain how hard he is. Do yourself a favor and avoid this teacher at all costs. It is nearly impossible, half of the class failed when I had him a year ago. DO NOT TAKE THIS CLASS WITH THIS TEACHER! It is way easier with any other teacher besides ardnt.
Arndt is a very hard professor, not impossible, but very hard. He expects a lot out of his students. He told our class if you can get an A in his class you should major in accounting. He drops the lowest exam and a few of the lowest quizzes and he curves a lot. Study for at least 4 hours before every exam and you'll do fine.
if you take school serious you will do fine. If you do just enough to get by then you will do poorly. Definitley not impossible though. I had never had accounting going into this class, an consider myself an average student. Im getting an A and also now majoring in accounting.
Nice guy, but tests can be very hard. Study, study, study. Go see him if you get lost early don't wait till its to late. He will help you but, you must go to him.

I've had him for ACC 250, 301, and 302. I received a B+, A-, & B+. His tests are usually hard. The first 2 tests are always hardest to try to get people to drop that shouldn't be there. Tests are over 2 chapters (100 pgs) and you must know every sentence. Read the chapters the night before the exam and get a B. I really liked having him for a prof.

He lectures for 10 minutes and then makes you do problems out of the book. Most questions he can't answer because he misunderstands what you're asking. He is disorganized, seems confused, and is only going through the motions (he mentions his tenure status almost daily.) He should be retired already. Nice guy though...
Super hard class. You will learn about accounting through fear. He curves the class immensely at the end so you will think your failing the whole time, but probably end up with a C. And he is easy on the eyes for those wondering.
