Professor Boan is my favorite professor by far. She really cares and wants everyone to pass, and she makes it very easy to do so. Tons of extra credit, group tests and she accepts late work (very late work). If you do your work and show up you will get an A. Would not have taken 101 or 102 with any other professor.

Professor Boan is a great teacher, they know their chemistry. I was able to learn about chemistry, she made sure we understood the subject, where here lecture where intriguing and interesting always. Professor Boan does team test she says it is part of being a stem major, working with people, this make here class somewhere where we work together.

Professor Boan is one of the best professors at LACC. She is passionate about her work, and caring for her students. Her lectures are clear and welcomes any questions during them. On top of this, her exams are group exams. She also offers extra credit opportunities. She is a great professor and only wants the best for her students.

If you are unsure between her and another professor for chem and don't choose her you are making a mistake. She truly cares for her students & tries to accommodate everyone. She always reminded us to turn work in and always excepted late work. Appreciates when students try. extra credit heavy. She deserves a 5/5 rating

Knowledgable, caring, lenient. Shes the best prof for 60, 101 and 102. If you put in effort, you will get an A. Helps with any questions. Group tests, tons of extra credit and little penalty for late work. Can be serious during lectures but also like a friend during labs. She loves interacting with students, and her teaching is easily understood.

She's great, I've had her for 60 up to 102 (currently). All you have to do is the work so you can reach the necessary points. She grades off a point system and provides tons of assignments to help you. Ask questions if you're unsure of something, she's take the time to explain. She also provides extra resources outside of the lecture.

She starts her lectures promptly, speaks quickly, and unfortunately, her lectures are not good. She is also not good with labs. She tends to rant about things she dislikes. I recommend choosing another professor.

She is not everyones cup of tea. She prefers if students take chem 60 before as it tends to make the content and labs easier to digest. I would say she is a good professor but you need to put in the work to get a good grade. Labs are in person and so are lectures. You dont always have to stick to lectures but going is always better.

For organized, hard working students, highly recommend Prof Boan. Clear grading criteria. Homework due almost every day, heavy workload on Canvas, but grading is based on accumulation of points! Work hard, don't miss deadlines, and she has very lenient late policy. Put in work and you can get definitely get an A!
