A total jerk that is unclear, unhelpful and allmighty
I took PLT151. I thought Lenio was fine. I would take another class with him.
I don't think there are any students that can say good things about this micrecon class. Take my advive and try to get anyone else as a teacher.
Don't take econ with this dude! Took it over the summer with him, he made it ridiculously hard. Had other activites going on with his life (golf)so was not very supportive or helpful with class
He is ok. Sometimes he can get a little peeved if you do not know the answer. He can put you under extreme duress and therefore even if you know it, sometimes you will forget it.
He is one of the most degrading person I ever met
Lenio is a good guy and knows his stuff. Sticks to syllabus like its going out of style. Very strict about deadlines and assignments, beware pop quizzes. Great class, good stories, teacher has life experience.

If you need to take eco, DO NOT TAKE IT with this guy, he is a joke and makes the class extremely well beyond difficult. All his examples are from the book and he teaches all pretty much from the book, but then expects more. His essay ?s a joke!
He is a good teacher. A little hard, but I think that a lot of teachers are too easy. He makes you earn your grade. I got an "A."

This teacher really needs to update his class material. He can be very intimidating and degrading when it comes to answering questions. I got a B in his class But was disappointed in the class. He is the only one who teaches this class. Good luck all.

"good" & "tough" are 3 words? ... lol ... he's a crappy teacher & an ****. Only take him if you want to hear about how everything relates to business. Bad grader too, no REAL colleges grade their papers the way he does.
Terrible teacher. Gets mad, and degrades you if you can't answer a question, and won't help you. Rude, disrespectful, all around jerk. Teaches like its a graduate level course, and expects you to know everything when you walk in the door.

I personally think he is a horrible teacher also. He picks on you and uses a very demeaning attitude when talking to his students. I suggest for anyone that wants to do well in microeconomics and actually learn about it to take it at a different school.
Everyone whines that his classes are too hard, but I got mono in the middle of the semester and was able to easily pull off an A.

Horrible teacher! He needs to learn how to teach and not just how to read his notes. He expects way too much out of students. Everyone that was in my class had already failed it at least once! There's something wrong about this guy!!!

Lenio is the worst professor I have ever had. I took a telecourse that was supposed to end October 15th. He did not have the tests prepared until after the class was over. His grading is terrible--He is biased and takes his opinions as facts. We talked on the phone, and he did not listen and repeatedly cut me off. He whined and made excuses.
Lenio is the worst teacher I have ever had. He doesn't help his students at all, and he doesn't explain any of the papers. It takes him about two weeks to grade everything too. This guy is rude to his students and I recommend you take this class with another teacher.

Do the study guide and you have a chance to pass the class. He loves to talk to students before class, too.
Worst teacher I ever had and I have been through Grad school. Biggest politician and full of himself person. Difficult and unrealistic in grading and also the topics he presented were hard to grasp as many were on a video, ect. If you have a choice attempt to take a different class at MCC or at another school that might offer what you need.

Terrible I got straight A's in H.S. and when I took his class I did the worst I have in my life. His expectations are way too high for students who hardly know the subject. You can do everything 100% the way he wants and he will give you a B on something because of grammar. I recommend not taking him. He follows the book/syllabus strictly that help
The only way your going to pass this class is if your 110% committed to the subject. Lost of graphs and when he gives examples he rambles on forever about absoultly nothing. Very, very boring. Also loves to talk and makes everyone feel like their morons when he constently asks ?'s. NEVER TAKE A CLASS WITH HIM!!!
Terrible teacher! made me cry when i approached him with a simple question. hes arrogant and is looking to make students feel stupid. he has no patience and puts u on pins and needles. i got a D. hes ten year'd so hes not going anywhere just make sure u dont take him if u have to then drop all other classes so u can devote all your time to this one
This was the worst teacher I have ever had!! No 1 in class passed & he screamed at the kid with disabilities! Very impatient, horrible man, was NO help whatsoever. Biggest mistake I ever made was taking his class! He graded all his papers on grammar, would cross out words u used and put the word he wanted in there instead which was the same meaning
You can EASILY get an A in this class if, and only if, you study both the notes and STUDY THE STUDY GUIDE on a regular basis. The quiz questions and over 50% of the test questions are DIRECTLY taken from the study guide. He falters with quiz "false question". You need to put the correct answer that is MOST applicable; he does pick and choose.
He was the most straight forward teacher and if you do what he says, you will get a good grade. Those students who didn't like him just didn't put any effort in. You do have to study and do have to work, but it will pay off!!!

Taking telecourse and every single review of this guy is so right. He's awful!! I need this class to graduate and hope to pass with a D. The tests do not follow what your read. I thought I was on the wrong chapter at first. He nit-picks EVERYTHING on your papers. I have a A+ in all my other classes and may fail this class. Wish I knew about him B4.
I'm also taking this telecourse right now. Hardest class I've ever taken! I am honors and this guy is tough. Nit-picks all your papers. Need to memorize a TON of stuff for he tests. It's brutal. I can't tait til it's over.
Do NOT take Lenio! If you dont understand something he just makes an example out of you. Really enjoys using the terms "Does that make Sense." Dont take Lenio. If you actually want to learn this material then do NOT take Lenio. I swear to God that is more concerned with how he can make the class difficult more than actually teaching you the material. Took via telecourse. Worst teacher I ever had in my MCC history (5 yrs!). He was never available for help, even went out of town the last month of classes and was rude when he responded!! My grade was delayed & I had to contact him SEVERAL times. Harsh paper grader (Never got below an A until this course) STUDY HARD!
If you try your absolute hardest with Terry Lenio, you will receive a C. If you do not, you will fail.
If you take this course with him do your self a favor and use the study guide. read before classes and follow his lecture in the book and take good notes. He can be abrasive but is a good guy. Tell him i'm tired of no and look for him to help. i'm retaking it to do better now that i know how to handle the class.

This class is ridiculous. Unless you answer every one of his questions perfectly he'll single you out and yell at you. The tests and quizzes are impossibly hard. All written assignments / questions are very vague, and he'll mark points off unless you include everything he wants. Do the study guide, pay attention, and hold on; It'll be a rough ride.
Econ was hard to a certain point. If you showed up and took notes you will be fine. The study guide that he also presses upon you for the first 3 months is also relatively important if you do not pay attention or take good notes. I received a C, even though I Aced the final test, and a last minute assignment worth a lot of points.

As an ex Drill sargent, he might have been good. As a teacher he is awfull. He has a hard time explaining concepts to class. He made a statement in clase once "this is the best way I know how to teach this material". If you have to say that in class, you do not belong teaching. He also favors exmilitary, so if your a jar head youll do fine.

Boring Class. A lot of students dropped. Lectures don't cover the test material. He grades on a modified curve, and that is the only way anybody passes. If it weren't for the curve the highest grade would have been a C. Lots of homework assigned in the syllabus that never gets turned in you are just expected to complete it. Strict phone policy.
He is very picky on what he wants but doesn't explain ANYTHING! Right off the bat he seems like he wouldn't be to terrible but he is. He never puts anything on the board except graphs for taking notes is not much of an option unless you can write fast. Test are based out of the study guide same with the quizes so that will at least help.
The study guide is where he gets 75% of his questions. They are word for word from there so review that for tests. As for the graphs....rough...try to remember what graphs he uses on the board and believe him when he says...ITS ON THE TEST

Extremely smart guy, but can be terribly intimidating if you don't know your stuff. Requires a substantial amount of out of class time in order to build on the basic concepts he teaches in class. Would only recommend him to someone majoring in economics.
This guy has a 20% pass rate. TWENTY PERCENT. He is really smart, undeniable, but his lecture has little to no relevance to his tests. If you feel like going to class to absorb something you don't need for a class you probably wont pass because of his weird grading scale, take his class.
I liked him as a person not a teacher. He's nice. His lectures are so boring that you want to fall asleep. His tests are hard and stupid. You need to know the terms. the highest grade you will receive is a C or D. almost everyone failed in my class with a d. Strict, No cell phones (he makes you leave class, there were several people who didn't pay attention to his rules the first day and had to find that out), He tells you what is going to be on the test. Cannot pass this class without attending every class, and you have to at least read the textbook, if not do the study guide. No late assignments.
Extremely difficult professor. Make sure you attend every class to keep up with all the material he's teaching. He rarely uses the book, but gives out pop-quizzes every week straight from the study guide. Tests are long with essay questions and graphs. Make sure you understand each graph he puts up on the board.
Terry goes on tangents, a lot. Which gets annoying fast. He is very conservative and doesn't care if you know and will teach economics in the corresponding way. His tests are easy if you memorize the study guide. His examples can be very good, but he goes on the aforementioned tangents as well as frequently (unintentionally) condescends students.
I'm not sure why this man teaches, because it appears he despises teaching. He also doesn't seem to like any of his classes, I would recommend doing whatever you can not to take his class.
This class is a joke. It is very hard and the teacher will only teach his way. At the beginning of the semester he told us we are responsible for our grade so don't count on him helping you out when you don't understand the material. He makes you feel like an idiot if you need to ask any clarifying questions. If you want to pass STAY AWAY!!
IT IS POSSIBLE TO GET AN "A" IN THIS CLASS. Don't take this class if you already have a heavy class schedule. It requires more outside study time than a regular class. Read the book front to back. I am not a Business/Economics major. I got an "A" - work hard, study hard, and he WILL reward your efforts. Don't take criticism personally.
If you do the study guide, you will pass. 75% of his test comes word for word from the study guide. The class is hard but you can get an A if you study. Also, don't let your cell phone go off or you will be asked to leave. This was easier than my other ECON classes once I transferred.
Lenio makes this class way more complicated than it needs to be. He makes you feel stupid if you ask for help. He explains the concepts very poorly. Tells you "This should make sense to you" but follows that with "This is the best way I know how to explain it". I would strongly suggest you avoid this class at all costs. You WILL regret taking it!

He is very traditional but somewhat cool when you get to know him more. I have A's in all of my classes and a C in this one. I think I understand all the material and I do well on everything other than the quizzes. The quizzes are so hard to anticipate. It's not exactly the material that the quizzes are on but it is more so interpreting them right

Easily the worst teacher I have ever had at MCC. He does not have a good teaching style at all. He really needs to consider retirement as an option. He makes you feel extremely stupid if you do not get an answer correct. Mr. Sasaki subbed in for one class and I felt like I learned more from him in one class period than I did with Lenio all semester
About 4 weeks into the semester and I''m going to see if I can get a different teacher. Extremely rude and not helpful at all. Uses poor examples in class and gets angry if you say the wrong answer. Treats you like you''re and idiot. Also his pop quizzes do not make any sense. Do not take him you will regret it if you do.
