REALLY BAD TEACHER. Very unorganized. Not knowledgable at all, she READS her lectures all the time. Somehow I got to be one of her favorite students so I got an A, BUT still I don't think she should be teaching college students.
She HATES YOU already!!!!!
I disagree, I had her in visual art today and I loved her, she was very interesting and shes traveled alot. She is very nice, and easy going. You don't have to read alot to learn material because she actually teaches it to us!
She picks favorite students, THE REST CAN GO TO HELL...
She made mythology boring, dull , and what not!!! She was extremely UNFAIR at grading, I don ' even think she knows what she's doing. Pasfield DOES NOT accept other people's opinions. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND HER TO ANYONE!!!!!!!!!!
Oh my God, she was the worst teacher I've EVER had......I would never take her again nor I would recommend her to anyone..UNFAIR, PICKY, and REALLY BAD at grading
My favorite teacher at Valencia. Extremely passionate about her work. Held my attention the entire semester. Tells you exactly what to study for test, makes failing difficult. If you fail this course you were not listening. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Worst teacher EVER!!!!!
She sucks...BIG TIME
Test are so easy. Got an A.
Extremely UNFAIR and prejudice !!!!!Stay AWAY unless you're good at kissin' up a**.
I agree SHE HATES YOU ALREADY! Picks favorites in the class and teaches for them, no one else. Unfair grader, and her tardy policy sucks, you get points off if you are 1 min late, HELLO, HAS SHE EVER TRIED PARKING @ 6:30 ON A WEEKDAY ON EAST CAMPUS?
I think that she was good because she made a topic that could be very boring really interesting. She explains ideas clearly and was really helpful with grades. I would recommend her to anyone who would like to learn more about art.
She's certainly not as bad as they are making her seem. She likes specific topics more than others and pays special attention to them. The book is unclear its best to take detailed notes.
Don't listen to all these haters...this lady may be a bit corny..but she is not difficult..her tests are very easy...the only downfalls are..she grades papers quite tough..and lots and lots of notes.but overall pretty ez A"plus plenty of xtra crdt on
very strict on papers for an art teacher.

true, she does grade hard on papers, but besides that her test are very easy. She always gives u a review for them.Be prepared to take a lot of notes in her class ( thats all you do ) I would recommend her to others, easy A
I can't tell if she is hard or easy, b/c the sem. just started, but I can say that she is so annoying, really boring and strange!! Stay away!
She is an awful teacher. I can just fall asleeep, as soon as walks in. Who the hell hired her as a teacher, she should be doing clerical work or somethin'
She seems like a cool teacher, but when you ask questions or have a problem, she is awful at handling it. She yells at her students. Only thing, she never stays in class the required time
Just finished this course. She is fair, and her tests aren't too difficult if you read and take notes. She was a bit testy with a few students, however, it was semi-legitimate. She bearable and passable-that's what matters.
She's great at teaching! Her personality is a little testy, but she more than makes up for it in the work. I knew exactly what to study for in the exams and her explanations of the presentations were easy to follow and take notes on.
She made the class very interesting, and was very helpful. Some found her tests hard but they are not at all if you just read the short stories. Don't make her made because she kicked out two kids in our class. She's really cool though.
she doesnt meet gordan rule.... 4 papers total a page each, if she dont like you she wont pass you. I turned in all the papers on time except 1 that was late and she gave me a D. when i passed the first 2 out of 3 with high B's. and A's and B's on my papers that I turned in before the last one
She was somewhat informative, but mostly all from her own personal notes, and not from her inherent knowledge of the subject, so BEWARE if you ask a question regarding her lecture, or on a hinted topic, she will snarl at you, and belittle your inquiry. Is overtly scrutinizing on Thesaurus adjctvs.
Horrible professor. The most unclear since I have been at valencia. It doesn't help that the class is terribly uninteresting.
very annoying and unclear, very snobby and selfish
very interesting & makes a 3 hour class go by quick.you must take notes to pass the tests.tests are from the handout & class notes.if you do the work assigned you will pass with good grades. gives extra credit if needed. i don't know why she has been rated so low.Best teacher at Valencia
She made you study the art. I enjoyed her study game.
I liked this professor alot. She has a very dry sense of humor. The class is not meant to be easy but, she makes it very interesting. She keeps you on your toes. I am taking her again over the summer!! Be an adult and you will be fine.
Ohh man, what a terrible teacher ! , sooo boring!!!, unclear, the classes is just her talking and people taking notes, she focuses on things that are not that important like extremely little details, never smiles, she seems to not like anybody, she's not comprehensive at all, if you have a problem and have to miss class, believe me, she won't care!
Hard teacher but interesting. If you do the work and study you will pass.I actually learned something in this class. Not much on personality with a dry sense of humor. I'd take classes from her again.
Great professor. The work is challenging, but not overwhelming and the tests are relatively easy. If you do your work and are respectful to her you'll be fine :)
This teacher sucks. For the first paper we did, she accused me of plagerism, and all we had to do was analyze a painting (no sources required.) How can someone plagerize their own interpretation?! I dropped the class after that. Just because I am smart and know more than she does, doesn't mean she has to accuse me of plagerism. SHE SUCKS!!!
All you need to know is that she's a co author of the Myth book we have to buy. She does tell you whats going to be in the test but she doesnt tell you that the answers for the test HAVE TO BE EXTREMELY SPECIFIC to what she has as answers. Shes a perfectionist and expects us all to be. x-pect low grades x-pect to do xtra work for xtra credit
I have no idea what you guys are talking about but she is an awesome teacher. I take her at night and manage to stay awake the whole time! She is extremly knowledgable with art. I really like the stories behind the artwork. Her tests are fair, if you study you will usually make an A or B. She is funny and gets a kick out of her own jokes:-)
She is a great teacher and you will learn a lot if you listen and do the homework.

Unclear. Expects students to know what is in her mind, but she won't teach a full class nor give chances for questions. Warning: If you are expecting Mythology, she's actually teaching English Composition with references to Mythology. The course starts with fairy tales, folklore, not mythology.
I don't know about any of her other class's, but her art class was awsome. She kept me awake through a 3 hour class, and her tests had about 15 points of extra credit on each one. To get an A in her class you just have to show up, and study the study guide. it's easy.
this is the best HUM class to take. If you pay attention and show up for class you wont need to study so hard.
Extremely intelligent woman who is quick to admit her own mistakes. Realistic and down to earth. Great interest in what she teaches. Easy if you study! If all you can say is "she sucks, she told me this and this!," grow up and remember you're in college, for christ's sake.
Really good teacher ..makes the class be really interesting! I never thought I would ever like art history but I do now and I enjoy it. I recommend her!
it might not be the coolest class but she knows her stuff and she is willing to share her knowledge with you. loooong ass class, 90% of the time is lecturing but it's quite inteesting. make sure you have your daily dosis of coffee if you take the 3 hours class at night. i would recomend her. 3 tests, one research paper.
LOVED this class. Can't wait to take another w/her. She prepares you for tests, and gives extra credit points. If you are a good note taker and writer this will be a breeze. The subject is interesting, it's just a few tests and one paper, and she is nice and funny.

Absolutely love this class. She is a great teacher, she wants you to learn. If you pay attention to the powerpoints and do a little studying, it's super easy. If you don't study she will have group things, and you will be responsible for the material yourself. She gives TONS of extra credit. She's got a silly sense of humor. TAKE HER!!!!!
Her class is very boring. Everyday is the same, take out your book and take notes while she goes through powerpoint slides. She gives a couple extra credit and her exams requires you to study a lot. She is extremely weird and laughs by herself at her own jokes. My advice, choose a fun class b/c this is definetely not one of them!
She is very passionate about her subject matter which is a delight. I love that she gives us a sheet in the beginning of the semester with all the terms and information we will need to know, on every test. She reviews throughly before each exam and gives plenty of time for a quiz online. Her papers aren't hard. She is wordly and very knowledgable.
Honors. A great teacher, she gives you everything you need to get an A, and she IS funny. Grades a little hard on papers, but if you use the study guide for the tests, you can easily get 100%. Highly Reccomended.
I hated this class, i hated this lady! It was a complete waste of my time. Don't bother with this class. It was boring as hell, all we did was take hours of notes on 5,000BC architechure..Take this as a warning do not take her or you will regret it!
horrible horrible teacher. Be prepared to study your butt off and not be told anything. She will not anounce any tests quizes or papers due. Does not know her art history and cant draw. If you want a good grade devote 80% of your time to this class
Classes consisted of hours of sildes and some dvds. Only one paper due but VERY EASY. Words of advice:Always be on time and buy the book. Easy A.
We were often let out of class early. Class consisted of lectures along with a powerpoint and a few videos. A few online quizzes, three tests, and one paper, which she graded really easy. She really knows her stuff, and the lectures were really interesting.
omg she is so rude and boring! You better write your paper at PHD level....
A little out there but i loved loved loved her
Awesome. She's a funny weirdo & provides interesting lectures. She tells you EXACTLY what 2 know 4 tests (but u have 2 study -- u either know it or u don't) & her papers are not that hard if you do what she says. Online quizzes are sooo easy if you have the notes. You can def. make an A & learn a lot. Take a tylenol before her night class though...
I had pasfield for art history 2. she was extremely mean and rude. yes she was qwerky and would say little weird things to make you think she was funny, but she was a very rude person i thought. the papers are graded as if you are supposed to be a genius. NO LIE. she does NOT let you even ask a question if you are interested in what she is saying
Her class was very hard, but also very interesting. It was a lot of hard work but I learned A LOT!
I'm still undecided as to whether I enjoy this professor or not. She is very rude and the way she runs her class makes me feel like I'm in grade school again. However, she is funny and is very direct as to what she will test you on. she's not my favorite professor, but her class is okay, not too difficult.
I took Professor Pasfield online for Greek/Roman Humanities and it wasn't at all hard. You have a learning module, questions, and a quiz each week--but there are only 5-10 questions for the assignment and the quiz. You have to take the exams in the testing center and you're given a complete study guide with everything on the test you'll need!

Took her for Art History II..I got to say she knows her stuff very well, but she expects wayyy too much from us students. Quizes were easy (online),tests were hard. You literally need to studyyyy your butt off, or else youl fail...and the paperrss HA, thats another problem. Better be a good writer thats all...and shes rude to top it off.
I took her online Art History I class this semester. She was very helpful whenever I had questions. She gives you an outline of what's going to be covered on the mid-term and finals. As long as you study, you should be fine. I would take her again online if I could.
Took this class online and loved it. It it NOT EASY. I earned an A but I studied my butt off! All of her expectations are very clear and the entire class is outlined for you with terms and reading assignments. Quizzes every week, 2 tests and a final. Tests must be done in testing center, quizzes at home. FLASH CARDS A MUST! I learned so much!
Fairly easy going at first but got a little confusing at the end of the semester. Not bad overall.
i took her for art history one, and found the class to be pretty dry. pasfield definitely knows her information, but she almost knows too much. her tests are not easy, but not too difficult. it is a lot of memorization. she does have extra credit opporunities though and a paper which if written well, will help your grade as well.
Class is easy as long as you take notes from power point (don't rely on internet ones) and study from text and you will do fine. All there is are memorizing art works. She can be a pain sometimes...just because students were using computer she made us stop and do a project that was due next class. So be forewarned.
I had her for Greek/Roman Humanities and do not recomend her at all. She was very difficult. This was my second online humanites class;the first one I took was Intro with a different teacher and I thought is was awesome. But taking Pasfield for Greek/Roman made me almost hate humanites..and that's saying something because I love the Greek/Roman era
Pasfield is the definition of a female dog. She is of absolute no help!! You ask for assistance she gives you the run around instead of the answer. If your opinions differ from hers you will be penalized for it. She is by far the WORST teacher ever!!! (and I call her teacher because she is not deserving of the term professer) I do not and would n
Prof. Pasfield is nice, fair and comprehensive. If you attend class and take good notes you won't even need to read the text. She offers some extra credit and her exams and quizzes are easy (the quizzes are open book). She makes the material interesting to learn and is not dull at all. This was one of the easiest classes I ever took, an easy A!
As long as you take notes and show up you will be fine. She is more than fair. Just apply yourself and you can learn alot
Thus far she has been nothing but rude to me. It's a condescending kind of rude that you would not expect from a professor. She expects you to know what she is talking about, and refuses to help you if you ask her to simply clarify something or verify something is done right, usses excuse she has 5 other classes and cannot help EVERY student twice.
She is very condescending and is a poor conductor of the teaching profession. She is by far not fair and has superego issues. I imagine when she is able to physically teach, she may not be as impulsive to judge character and use it to determine competency. She teaches for control not for the love of providing knowledge.
Pretty terrible teacher. Powerpoints presentations and worksheets are copy/pasted from the text, grading system is unclear, and she is pretty rude. Overall I recommend that you avoid this professor.
She is a really good professor if you like or know about art history already. She answers all your questions. However sometimes she has a problem with you asking that kind of question. Quizzes and test are extreemly easy and she is very clear on what will be on the test and quizes. I recommend her to anyone that wants to actually learn Art History.
Who ever didnt like her is just ridiculous,She is awesome.Very passionate about what she teaches, I took her for Art History I&II. She is fair with grades, and has powerpoints for everything. I loved her, she has a great personality and is funny. You have 2 papers to write and you must write them or you dont pass. She wants you to learn & understand.
She grades very fair, you have to read the text and keep on top of your work. I took her course online and it wasn't hard. She isn't very helpful but does respond back to emails. I would take her again BUT i'm very interested in art history if you are not don't take her!
took art history I, class was boring had to memorize a ton of terms and images. didnt like her class just because she shoved so much crap into each exam. however im retaking her, mainly because i have all the exams and notes from last semester. so hopefully itll be easier this time around.
She is a really good instructor. I took Art History I&II. Her lecture and power point slides were very interesting and clear. Yes, we had to memorize a lot of information for the exams, but she told us what we would need to remember. Usually, I don't like any history class, but I enjoyed her classes.
Terrible teacher! Answers no questions,RUDE,Art is my favorite subject and I was very excited for this course but it wasn't what I expected.
TERRIBLE! Easily one of the worst teachers I've encountered at Valencia. Knows little about her field for starters. I also completed a test online that she refused to give me credit for even when I proved its completion by bringing in the log that Valencia has in place to protect students in that sort of situation. Spare yourself!
An ok class. Lots of slideshows and her reading lectures. Tests are easy enough if you pay attention.
horrible... lots of quizzes that can greatly help your grade, but her exams were a different story, she shoved as much crap as possible into every single one, just make sure you study the images and their info!!! cause it effects your grade the most on the test. personally i would never take her again.
So incredibly rude! Honestly doesn't act as if she cares how her students are doing in the class. Her exams are ridiculous so make sure you make flash cards and spend a lot of time studying. She's incredibly meticulous and I gave "too much" information a few times and got counted off for it. I will NEVER take a class with this teacher again.
Do not takr this class with Pasfield. She gives way too much work for a simple gen-ed course. It is not an easy course and Prof. Pasfield makes it that much harder. I took ARH2050 again with S. Levi and got an A! Pasfields exams are super hard, even for college. Good luck if you take 2050 0r 2051 with her!
Get out as fast as you can, better get your money back before it's too late. She is very rude to you in her emails and feedback, and is clueless on what fair grading is. I got points deducted for typing like a word over than her "expected infinitely correct answer". And I've had a teacher that used Twilight questions in her tests.. this 1 is worse
Horrible, would be a good way to describe her class. extremly unfair, grades like a nazi, her test are ridiculous, cause she shoves so much stuff into each one. just do yourself a favor and dont take her, trust me. take Leslie Boles if you can instead, shes amazing!!
I do not recommend this professor to any one. She is a nightmare. She requires you to use a image term list with names for work that she her self has made up. Unfair grading. Rude. Does not respond back to emails in a timely manner.
Such a wonderful class! Interesting lectures! She tells you EXACTLY what to study for on the test. The syllabus and schedule are completely accurate. If you take notes and make flash cards for her tests (there are only 3) there is no way you can get anything lower than an A. Wonderful class, I would take her again!
Not a very good teacher. Makes you read the Chapters but then won't accept answers from the book! What?! Only accepts HER answers. Grades unfairly, rude to you in her emails. Very condescending to students that asks questions. I feel bad for some students in discussions, she makes you feel like a moron if you don't know art history. Stuck up prof!
She can be rude and short with students especially those who ask questions. Other than that she is an awesome professor and her class is interesting and FAIR. She tells you exactly what you need to know for tests and if you study they are EASY. 7 online quizzes that can help your grade and 4 easy writing assignments. I am taking her again.
Her class was ok, however that doesn't help if the teacher is a complete moody disrespectful condescending stuck up. I got a B in the end but had to EARN that. She gets annoyed if you asks questions... really?? Isn't that why you teach? She talks down to you like you're worth less than garbage. Even the way she talks in her lectures sound stuck up.
So, I know some people don't like her, but, her class was great. her notes are so strait forward, and you can't help but be interested. she really knows her subject, and she's passionate about it. yes, she can be alittle weird, but I love her teaching style. I wish she was teaching art history 2 so i didn't have to take Evens, who i can't stand.
Incredibly rude and unhelpful in e-mails. I took her online class and had computer problems with Blacboard and instead of helping me figure out what was going on, or even referring me to someone who could, she continued to comment on how "sad" it was that I couldn't figure things out on my own. She's insanely stuck up. I would never take her again.
All neg comments previous are true. It is not enough that she is unhelpful and condescending or that she requires you to learn terms to define art that she herself invented; she will also mark you off for using words she doesn't know or concepts she is unfamiliar with-DON'T reference scientific terms/laws in your essays, even casually!
I really enjoyed her class. She makes Art History very interesting! The only time she was short was when students were being disruptive (ex. on their cellphones.) Follows book and gives handouts and slideshow presentation. She is AWESOME! She encourages questions, I've never felt stupid when asking.
Horrible teacher, shes rude and extremely unhelpful.Talks down to students who ask questions, which drove me nuts.Tests were hard, and her final was ridiculous. She should quit and find a new job, cause she acts like she hates teaching, and takes it out on her students.just do yourself a favor and take one of the other two art history teachers.
Good professor, is very clear and gives good notes, I rarely had to open my textbook as long as I paid attention in class. I had her for Greek/Roman Honors and finished with an A.
This is an ART HISTORY class...not humanities, not anthropology, not mythology, ART HISTORY. She'd spend tons of class time off topic about everything except the topic at hand, so if you're looking to learn something about art history, take it somewhere else. If you're a UCF student taking it at vcc, take a different teacher or during summer.
DO NOT TAKE HER!!! Im taking her online, super rude and not helpful at all!!! you can tell she has favoritism, if she does not like you she will make it very clear, I would like to know if she hates her job so much why is she still teaching?
I think the few good comments about her she must have done them herself cuz i do not see how someone could possibly like her...the class is not really that hard but she is such a horrible teacher! she needs to learn how to read for starters she graded my essay saying i never wrote some things and they were on the first paragraph.feel sorry for her!
Took online Art History over the summer. Brief class with a lot of info to cover. She seemed helpful but I did not have to contact her very often. The video lectures were informative and homework assignments were relatively easy. The two exams did have a few images on them that weren't not on her study guide. I would recommend this online class.
I took her over summer, although she is rude just try to get on her good side and you'll be set. Her tests are EASY she tells you exactly whats on it, if not more info than you should know so theres no way you cant pass. Her online quizzes were really easy and her writing assignments too! She is going through serious menopause though
I took this class online, and its a lot of work, but if you do it all it can be an easy A, the exams come directly from the review she provides, so there is no surprise at all, so long you read the entire chapter, complete the quizzes, participate on the discussion and complete the assignments which comes directly from the book, then you'll be fine
I took this online. Book is needed, lots of reading. Every week, there are textbook questions (very hard grader on this, I got very annoyed with her comments. Very nit picky), a discussion and 2 responses (have to be on 3 different days), and a short quiz (EASY, open book). She is very quick to grade/respond to emails, though. Structured class.
She is an absolutely ridiculous and a useless professor. Its the same thing each week and if you don't have any artistic talent your screwed. She is not helpful at all. She will nit pick down to the smallest detail. If you don't understand her discussion questions and get it wrong she just puts you down. Don't take her.
One of the worst teachers I've ever had. She is absolutely ridiculous with her grading on her homework, quizzes, and exams. Her questions are very broad but she expects exact answers. Also weekly discussions that helped with NOTHING. I love art history A LOT but hated this class! If you can take another teacher I recommend it.
