This teacher is the best. I am in her class right now and have learned more at this point than in my other classes. Lectures are not boring at all. she has a way of making the subject matter come alive. Would highly recommend this teacher.

Extremely clear and concise. Mrs. Slonaker encourages all students to become involved in classroom discussions. She is very different from other educators, she uses verbal bridges very well and does not embarras students. This course is a must.

I have been out of college a long time. Mrs. Slonaker has made returning much easier. She encourages class participation and makes the work challenging, yet interesting. Wish there was another course I could take from her.

Mrs. Slonaker takes the time to hear out the many diverse voices in her class and to help the students achieve their own success.

Great Teacher

Ms. Slonaker is a great instructor!! She gets involved with the class, welcomes feed back from her students, and is open to different opinions. Her class may not be the easiest, because she bases your grade on how well you do on your tests; however, her method of teaching is fun, and productive!!

Ms Slonaker was a great teacher. She made here class fun, but you have to study to make a good grade. I made a B but she made it fun to learn the materials. Lots of group discussion. Also is fair and do your last report big part of the grade.

One of my favorite teachers. Really gets involved with the class, is understanding and helpful. Her lectures aren't boring, her tests aren't hard (if you've paid attention. :P) I totally recommend her.

Probably my favorite class thus far. Ms. Slonaker is wonderful, interesting, funny and very knowledgable. Test are not too difficult, material is easy to understand and one term paper due. Lots of extra credit for those whose want to improve their GPA. Highly recommend this class.

Took her class about a year ago and she is awesome. Not too hard but not a blow-off class either. If you pay attention in class the tests aren't too hard. Be sure to do the presentation. Open minded and funny. She knows her stuff.

Took her class last semester even though i'm not a sociology fan. She is smart,understanding,and she respects all of her students. Due the work and pay attention to her lectures and you will do just fine. 3 exams and one short presentation. She also gives out a lot of extra credit assignments for you dumb dumbs. Good teacher that i recommend.

Very patient and good instructor. Respectful of her students and makes the class interesting. Be sure to do your homework, likes to give little pop quizzes. Very helpful if you can't find resources for your reseach paper. Wants you to succeed. Highly recommend taking her class!

She is very well informed and has lots of experience in life. Her mind is a very open mind which makes her very universal. It seemed as though she was able to relate to the broad spectum of students in our class. I took a flex course and was still able to take great new knowledge with me when it was all over! CLUE: EASY A;) DO IT!

One of the best teachers I have ever had. She made the material very easy to understand and got me interested in the class. She gives the oppertunity to do extra credit which I suggest you you take advantage of. Because of the EC I got a 99% in the class and I had not gone to school in 10 years. A+ She rocks. I wish she taught all my classes.

Okay teacher. No clear cut notes makes studying difficult. Overall, mostly common sense material. Nothing too challenging. She even recognizes that sociology is not the most exciting class (to put it nicely). LOTS of extra credit opportunity. You'd have to be dead to not pass this class!

She is great! ACTUALLY CARES Super nice and very helpful. You need to get the book but its the brief version so it is not that expensive. GO TO class it makes sense and she gives you cues on what is on the test. For exams look for terms in the book and what is discussed in class. Do the study guides in the back of the book, they really help.

A really nice woman. You get to watch office space and a cool documentary from the seventies. I highly recommend this teacher. I fellow student in a different class said he took this teacher through the internet and she was really easy so both are highly recommended. Book is needed and if you don't retain info well study but I never did and got A

I'm taking her class right now and I absolutely love her!!!! I have never liked going to classes but I won't dare miss hers. The class is so easy as long as you pay attention, do your work and study. You can't go wrong here. She's the cutest thing, I want to hug her!

Loved her!!! had no interest in class before but became very intrigued. Such a nice woman and will help you understnad. Most Classes don't allow you to interact with your classmates, but i actually came out knowing some of them pretty well. There are a few assignments, but they are actually kinda fun and make you think about your surroundings.

All essay class. As long as you applied sociology to your life in the essays, it was an easy A.

I took her online! This teacher is awesome.All you have to do is take the computer quizzes which are open book and the final which she gives you ahead of time to find the answers!!

I Love Terri, she is wonderful. So helpful and her lectures are so easy to understand and relate to. Very Interesting class to begin with, but with Terri as the instructor, it only gets better. I will take other classes from her. Highly recommend her!

I took her online. She responds and grades assignments quickly. Weekly discussions and a few assignments over the semester. Tests are open book and easy. Easy A class and great teacher. Highly recommend her.

Mrs.Slonaker is the best! She made sociology more fun than it already is. She is very helpful and gives great notes on pals. read your notes, skim the chapter, and u will get an A on her tests. I enjoyed coming to this class...i took 5 classes in one day and she was the highlight of it all.

GREAT PROFESSOR.the book required is not expensive, you use it throughout the entire semester; which is very useful. anyone can get an A in her class, as long as they go. her notes in a way follow the book, which makes it easy to go back and review for the tests which aren't hard. Cool lady, the class had a laid back kind of feel, but it wasn't lazy. She likes to make sure her students are engaged so do her a favor and participate. Do this and you won't regret having taken her class.

Online 1301 course. Easy course. She responds to email with good time and clarity. All assignments and due dates are understood. I would recommend this course!

Slonaker is a wonderful professor! She will never give you information that you wont use!! Her grading is very understanding. And has a great sense of humor. She does not tolerate nonsense, so listen. Sociology is a very interesting topic and the book was hard to put down. All in all I enjoyed having her, she was very wonderful!!

She is a great professor :) She is very helpful and understanding I had to miss class a few times for my son but was always willing to catch me up on things. You do need the textbook and do have to read the chapters but class discussions are very interesting.

Awesome teacher. Very easy to get along with and very approachable! She compares a lot of the terms to Rush songs so if you look up those songs it becomes quite easy to remember.

This was my first online course and I was a little reluctant at first but it looks like I may have a chance at an A for the final grade.

Took Intro to Soci online. She was very organized, gave a clear outline on what's due. Took with four other classes including Chem & Math & it wasn't overwhelming. The workload was just right, not too many papers. Tests are open book, just read before to be familiar with terms. She gives extra credit and reminders. She's very friendly & helpful!

I went into this class thinking it would be filled with lots of great class conversations and interesting material, but it wasn't. However if you're looking for a really laid back and easy class taught by a really nice professor, I would definitely suggest taking this class with her.

She's very good at engaging the students and making the class interesting. Very lenient on turning things in a bit late. Gives so much extra credit; every test has some easy extra credit questions, some little assignments count, and then you get some for good attendance.

Mrs. Slonaker is a very fair, organized and helpful professor. Show up, do your work and communicate with her. I would take again without hesitation.

I loved this class. She made it so interesting and I never found the lectures to be boring. She gives extra credit opportunities throughout the semester. I got A's on all of the papers, just answer the question and you'll do just fine. The assignments aren't super long either which I appreciated. Overall she's a great professor.

Extremely nice. Her lectures are not boring at all. Only homework you'll ever have is 5 assignments the whole semester and she's an easy grader. Allows you to use a cheat sheet for every test, but her tests are easy anyways. It's much harder for you to fail than for you to pass.

Only 5 assignments. There are 3 tests, not including the Final. She gives out plenty of extra credit opportunities. Attendance is counted at the end of the semester, like extra credit, just don't miss too often. The book is helpful, but you only need it for 2 assignments, so you could probably just borrow it from the library, if they have it.

I loved this professor, she really gets the class participating and the discussions are always inspiring. It's not at all hard to pass this class, especially if you put in a little effort.

If you need your sociology credit I would definitely taker her she is just an amazing professor! She gives 4 exams 1 final and a couple writing assignments. It's a super easy class easy A! You can use a cheat sheet on every exam equaling free 100 guys! She very sweet and caring loved her class she made it interesting with class discussions!

Positives: Caring professor, interested in her students and fair. Encourages participation, does not only do powerpoint, changes things up with group work and class discussion. Easy class. Negative: tests are multiple choice from book , scanty feedback on papers, powerpoints could be more original, more effort in these areas needed.

She's an awesome professor. Literally just go to class, take some notes, write down definitions from the book, and you will pass. I spent like an hour of the week outside of class studying for the essays and exams, and passed with a 96 for the semester. She's awesome.

AMAZING TEACHER!!!!! If she taught other classes I would definitely take her again, the class is not hard you do need to read though! She gives you many opportunities for extra credit, and she is willing to meet up with you if you need help.

She is awesome! Had her for last semester (Jan-May) . Every test we had she let us do it online anywhere & let us use our book for the tests and final along W/ notes! She is great, just show up to class and take some notes & listen and youll be fine.

Such a great professor! She really has a passion for this and she relates the material to everyday life. Shes really caring and makes the class discussions interesting. Come to class & youll learn. Her exams are online & she assigns 3 papers but are not difficult to do. Theres also a few quizzes but those are online too. Take her class!

Ms. Slonaker is one of the most amazing professors I've had the honor of studying under. She is funny, down to earth, has a heart of gold, and is always willing to help her students . I'm not exaggerating when I say she changed my life. Don't make the mistake of not taking her class. She is a real gem!

Professor Slonaker is amazing. She is beyond sweet and very understanding when life gets in the way. Her class was so much fun, I would take her again in a heartbeat. If you don't pass it's because you are beyond lazy!

I took her class online last semester and honestly it was one of my favorite classes. She was pretty laidback and if you ever had an issues or need help you just needed to communicate with her. The content of the course was interesting, although some of the lectures were monotone. Never got less then a 100 on any of my assignments.

Terri Sloanaker is the best professor I have ever taken, she actually cares about her students and wants you to pass her class. There's literally no way you can fail unless you aren't doing anything. She accepts late work with deductions each day that goes by. She has make up days and lets you test at home! Definitely recommend you won't regret.

Professor Slonaker was amazing! Her assignments were informative, interesting, and straightforward. She was very understanding of late work and personal commitments and was very fair when grading. She does not drop any grades and will deduct points for late work, but she offers extra credit. Highly recommend for Intro to Socio!

I just finished Professor Slonaker's class, and she caught my attention right way. We did have to use inquizitive, but she did tell us we could listen to her lectures first and then complete the inquizitive for that lesson. That helped me a little better. I recommend taking her. She really cares about her students, and tries to help you
