I really like Mr. Timmons, he is fun, nice, laided back and easy going. His class is not hard as long as you read and study. He also tells funny jokes.

Relates well to students, tests are pretty challenging, but you'll do fine if you read the text and study DAILY. I only studied a lot because I enjoyed the subject-- if you take honors, theres a group project.

Good lectures, interresting. Yet hard tests, must stufy for those. Notes based in book, so you can just high lite in the book. only complaint is hard tests. otherwise, good teacher, relates to everybody... usually.

Very easy and he is very nice. Makes the class feel confortable w/ him from the start. Very funny and always cracks us up.

I had him for 180 and 185, he is one of the best professors here at coast, just read the book and you can get an A, he puts previous test in the library for you to study from, awesome professor

Take this professor. His classes are fun and he's very clear. Classes start late and end early. Tests are multiple choice and can be aced with maybe an two hours of skimming through the book. Learned quite a bit. Definitely recommend him.

Midterm and Final sets the grade. Most of the questions are applying if you read the book you'll get an okay grade. Other questions involve vocab and also if you study you'll do fine. Group quizzes which are easy and extra credits which are always welcomed.

dont listen to these ppl.timmins is an awsome teacher!hes funny (gets little side tracked) but usually the students have a good time. his tests are VERY EASY all you have to do is follow the study guide and its NOT hard at all. He gives so many chances for extra credit that its worth about one whole test.you would have to be dumb not to get an A!!

I felt that he really didn't teach, he just told jokes in class and gave us a study guide to prepare for the exams. He offered a ton of extra credit, and the written assignments were very easy, and just got you more points. Cool guy, I definately recommend to take his honors section, easy B, and an A is very possible with a little bit of work.

I really enjoyed this mans class. He is a very inteligent and funny guy. All of the the movies and discussions in this class were enlightning. And Terry is always more than willing to take part of his day to help you out with questions. If you want to get an A just study, the study guides and ask him if you cant find somthing on them.take this clas

Easy A, interesting class

Well, this guy doesn't really teach, he just tells a bunch of jokes. He's WAY FUNNY though!! hehehe!!! Classes can get boring sometimes so you'll sleep, but the tests are easier than they seem because I got an A when I thought I was going to get a B or a C.

The 2 people below me are a bunch of lazy whiners. He does an excellent job on lecturing the class. If you want to get an A, READ THE CHAPTERS IN THE BOOK. I remember I spent 2 days before the midterm/final reading every single page of the chapters. Needless to say I got an A in the class. An A is earned, not served on a silver platter, slackers.

Has the greatest stories ever! Read the book and study w/ the online tools from textbook and you'll do just fine. Offers a lot of extra credit opportunities.

Timmins is hilarious!He's good at lecturing and I saw a lot of interesting movies in his class. There is no homework and if your paying attention during the lecture you can get an A with no problems.

Looks like the old man from the poltergeist movies... Other then that, he's a good teacher. Easy B.

Prof. Timmins was a great teacher. He is funny and makes the class enjoyable. However,the movies he has us watch are very controversial and very liberal, which I was not into. But I had a lot of fun and he is truely a great teacher. Do all the extra credit, they will come in handy. His exams are tricky. There is plenty of xtra credit.

class was very boring,(I don't recommend his morning class) but at times he can be funny with his jokes. tests isn't that easy as it seems. As long as you study and do the extra credits, you'll do well. SO STUDY AND GOODLUCK!

Terry is a great teacher. You do have to pay attention and read the text, he mixes it up with movies and lecture. He has great study guides and gives a lot of opportunity for extra credit. He grades on a curve to boost tests by about 2-3 points. Would take again for another class. Funny and informative.

Timmins is a cool teacher. It is a little hard to stay awake in the morning class but his jokes make it worthwhile. He is willing to help if you don't understand something and it's fairly easy to get your questions in. Overall good teacher.

Curves quite a bit on test and offers so much extra credit. Felt like I didn't learn anything , just soo many stories about his daughter. He live in LBC, his daugter is 15, his family is from the south. He use to live in an apt that was less then $100 a month . COme on you get the picture.

by the way he lives in laguna! he's funny guy with lots of random stories to tell...great class...he's ok with people being late...he doesn't throw a fit like other teachers he just goes right along with his lesson

Timmins is such a cool guy! The class is really easy (all we had to do for honors was read a book). Super easy quizzes; just read the chapter reviews for the chapter quizzes. Mid-Term and Final are pretty hard, but he curves it tremendously. Seriously, though, I learned a lot about society in this class - he makes it interesting and funny.

Great teacher who enjoys teaching sociology and his students. Beware of tricky quiz questions, enjoy the interesting documentaries he shows, and take advantage of the great extra credit opportunities.

Prof. Timmins is a positive teacher. I took his 8am Friday morning class and he made attending worth the trip and a pleasure. Lectures were interesting and thought prvoking. Very entertaining person.

Timmons hasa lots of interesting things to say. The study guides are basically the tests. It's hard to stay awake in the morning but at the end of the day, it's pretty easy and he'll make you laugh.

Professor Timmins is the BEST! He has some great insight on different issues and really causes you to think. His study guides are basically IDENTICAL to his tests. Over summer there was no homework just 4 tests and all you had to do was review the study guide 2-3 times and you were guaranteed an A. TAKE HIM. You're dumb if you don't.

This class requires reading the text thorougly for the quizzes. There are no tests, but expect quizzes on two chapters at each class meeting. Prepare to read the text in order to do well on quizzes. Profesor Timmons is great with extra credit opps.

He has a great sense of humor and his class is so easy and he gives lots of extra credit. If you get less than a B in this class then you're an idiot.

Test structure changes every semester. For our semester ( spring 2007) We had 4 mult. choice test and that was it.He gave us study guides which are pretty much in the exact smae order as the test. If you don't get an A then your jsut plain lazy. The man is very funny.

I found him respectable and hilarious. I have never had a professor this entertaining in my 5 years (stop laughing) in college. I took his class to get rid of my GE requirements, and I am so glad that I took it with him. He makes the topic fun to learn, even though he goes off-track alot, but his stories are so entertaining its ok. Take his class.

Funny teacher. His class is very easy and for his first test, it's open discussion! You are allowed to get answers from classmates and tells you exactly what will be on his exams. If you follow study guide, you will get 100% on all his exams. Very easy honor credits. All he shows are movies.

The only diff between his 185 & 185H class is that in the honors class you give a 5 min report on a book. I didn't even read mine & I got a 49/50-you should deff take the honors class. Easy & straight forward:4 tests with study guides that matches the test. The first test is a group test. Easy class but you still learn alot & Timmins is hilarious!

Analysis of Social Problems honors: Best class I've taken at OCC yet. Lots of interesting subjects. Great videos. Funny guy. NICE! plenty of extra credit. Tests are easy because of study guides. Do the study guide and a little xtra credit and you will get an A. also the project at the end is fun and an easy A. Highly recommended

Although my first language is not a English, I got an A in this class. If you want to get an A in this class, 1. READ BOOK TWICE AT LEAST and UNDERSTAND IT 2. USE A STUDY GUIDE then,you will definitely get an A in this class

He is extremely laid back and funny! His personality is hilarious! Aside from that, his tests were hard though. I loved him anyway and still got an A! I did show up to class like I was supposed to and studied hard for it. That A wasn't so easy.

Wow! If you failed this class, you probably fail at life too. Seriously, it's so easy! We had 2 tests and a research paper(2 pages). I didn't even finish the book and I passed with an A. If you think the way he does, you will pass the tests. The presentation of your paper wasn't too bad, he talked most of the time when I just said like a sentence.

I took his summer class- Great professor and really funny! We watched current news/videos which were both entertaining and informative. He opened my eyes to "the daily show"(!) and the widespread hypocrisy of so called "news channels". Great guy, take him- You will learn abou the real world!!!

Informative, intelligent, hilarious, extremely liberal, entertaining, human, interesting... I have nothing bad to say about this teacher or class. Three hours went by faster than I could ever imagine. He shows important documentaries and really opens your eyes to the reality of the world. One of the best professors I've EVER had. TAKE THIS CLASS!

he is a very nice old man and very clear and straightforward! he gives u all the material for the exam! Only thing that annoyed me is that he goes off tangents and will waste one hour talking about stupidity which is iirelevent! overall it is a good class to take! Very informative!

He isn't technically easy. The easy aspect of this class is that he gives you study guides. The notes are the study guides. You must use the notes as guidelines when going through the chapters in the book. On the bright side, he's a funny and interesting guy and offers ample extra credit opportunities. Take for: A/B

He is very very entertaining and make's the lesson interesting and easy to understand. I read the book and followed along with the notes he gives as guidelines and I was able to get an A in every exam. Studied and finished reading the night before and morning of the exam and did great. Highly suggest you take his class.

This is a great class, I would say it's a wake up call to us as Americans. This class helped me realized how blinded we are to our society. I would highly suggest this class to everyone. The guy is old so attend his class and keep him entertain, you'll most likely get an A for just being there and participating.

Nice prof., but very boring class. Grade is based on tests only, which are 50 pts each, total class out of 200 pts. The only reason why I passed was because of his grading curve. His tests are hard because his lectures almost have nothing to do with the tests. The tests are straight from the book, so read the chapters to do well on the tests.

Great Professor - despite any rude comments below that obviously means you didn't show up to class or you never enjoyed his reference for Dave Chappelle or George Clooney - as long as you follow his notes in class and READ THE BOOK like he says then you should do fine in the class ~ Highly Recommended !!!! & READ THE BOOK

Easy A. Swear I went to class only on test days. only studied for 1st exam. BS'd the rest of the tests. I felt like I didnt need to study since it was all common sense. Lectures can get boring but he's very nice and kind. Easiest class/prof at OCC. He's the best! Highly recommend esp for lazy people who want an A! :)

Repeats alot of the same stuff. "Ok" at teaching the material, but very entertaining in class. I'm not sure I'd call his class an easy A because most of the time you'll be teaching yourself. Good thing the material isn't complicated.

Professor Timmins is such a sweet guy. This was an interesting subject itself, but I also found myself deeply absorbed in his lectures. Intelligent and always cracking jokes. You have to actually read the textbook for the tests, but that's a given. Take him!!

The book is very interesting. One of the only textbooks that I've actually enjoyed reading. Make sure you go to class and take the notes, he makes the test right from the notes and some stuff from the book. You HAVE to read the book. He is very laid back, pretty funny at times, but he does repeat himself a LOT.

It took me a while to figure professor Timmins out. Once I did, I loved him. His lectures are very interesting, and I know much more now than before I took his course.

I loved this class, it turned out to be more interesting than I thought. It's an easy A class, but I took it for granted and only got a B, but it should be an easy A. All you have to do, is take note from the power point, and study 100 questions from the study guide. The study guide is basically the test, so it's super easy. :)Mult choices and T/F
