Dr. Chevalier is a great teacher. Her grading criteria is both clear and fair, and she is very willing to explain any questions regarding tests, papers, or in general via email or in her office hours. Attendance isn't mandatory from a grade perspective, but highly recommended just to understand the material. Interesting lectures+ material.

Dr Chevalier is definitely one of the most lively professors on campus, never a boring moment in her class. Attendance isnt mandatory and a lot of her stuff is online, I would suggest going though because she lectures a lot that isnt on the slides. Papers every week which isnt ideal but they arent hard, just tedious. Very approachable!

Dr. Chevalier is a great professor! She really cares about her students and there is never a dull moment in lecture. There are reaction papers due most Sundays but are really easy (1-2 pages). Her tests are kind of hard but studying and reviewing notes helps.

I had Professor Chevalier last semester, and I loved her class so much that I purposefully took another class of hers this semester. She makes the class feel more laid back; although, you need to pay attention and do your work in order to get a good grade. I highly recommend studying for exams using the study guides she provides.

Tess <3 She is super accommodating, and is seriously fun to have as a professor. She's well-versed in her line of work, and it shows. Assignments consist of weekly connect assignments and 10 papers over the course of the semester, but you have ample time to complete it before the week ends. Exams weren't terrible. 10/10 would take again.

She is very accommodating and helpful! The assignments are clear, but don't forget about them. The exams are not too hard, but they are lecture heavy so I recommend going to class as often as you can.

Super easy class with a nice professor. Attendance is not mandatory, but her slides aren't detailed so I suggest going to lecture to take notes and reading each chapter. Connect assignments and reading/response paper every week, but nothing difficult or time consuming. Tests are worded kind of hard but are easy if you study notes and already read.

I took her PSY2603 course and I LOVED IT! Even if psychology isn't your thing, she's great at making the lectures interesting and fun. You have to go to class, her online slides are bare bones and would never help you make notes. There are 11 papers total, they're not hard or time consuming (1 hr max), but by the last one you want the class to end

She was so much fun and super easy to talk to. If you have any trouble with the class, she is more than willing to help you out. Tess makes a subject that can be depressing, really interesting and fun :) Be sure to read the chapters, take notes, and do the online homework, and you'll do just fine.

Loved prof Chevalier. A lot of short "papers" where you have to read psych studies and analyze them, but they weren't hard and didnt have to be long.

research methods 2!! after taking the first one with another teacher, I was dreading doing stats again! Class actually wasn't too bad. There is 4 research papers they will take time but she grades easy if you have everything! Learnsmart once a week so not bad, plus 4 exams. But she is a gem, made the class easy, class was optional in person. I love

Research Methods II. Dr. Chevalier was awesome to have in class. The course itself was difficult (will be no matter the professor) but she made it fun and always made the class time worth it. You have to go to do well, but she makes it to where you look forward to going. One of my favorite PSY professors.

Really cool person. Teaching style is unlike any other prof I've had; really chill vibe so lectures felt laid back. Super entertaining personal stories. Homework got repetitive by middle of semester. Exams were all multiple choice and pretty straightforward. Doesn't write a lot on slides so note taking is important!

I took Professor Chevalier online this semester. Classwork is as expected, nothing too hard. As long as you do the work, you will get a good grade. She is very understanding and cares about every student. I fell behind in her class, but she was patient with me and allowed me to catch up. Overall, an amazing professor. Take her class if you can!

Ms. Chevalier is great! She truly cares about her students and makes her lectures really fun! I look forward to her class. She doesn't overload you with work, just make sure you try on the assignments and you'll get a good grade. Tests aren't hard, just write down examples she gives in class because they will help. I really liked Dr. Chevalier. She was very funny. The exams were all on canvas, and all of our assignments were on tophat. This class was super easy. She recorded all of her lectures and posted them later, so I never went to the in-person section because I often didn't have time. She was super helpful outside of class as well fi you had any q's.

Professor Chevalier is incredibly passionate and a great lecturer. The way she talks about the course material ensures that you're never bored when attending lectures. She's also very funny and kind and the class is not incredibly demanding. As long as you keep up with the semi-weekly assignments, then you'll do well in this class.

You can tell she really cares. Many online assignments but nothing too bad. She responds to emails very quickly as well.

Literally the holy grail of the psychology department, Tess is the best professor you will stumble across for any psych requirements you may need for your degree. She is knowledgeable, and caring and will do anything she can to help you pass the class. She is accessible outside of class via email and responds fast about any concerns!!

Professor Chevalier is an amazing professor who cares about her students and psychology. She is a professor who shows she cares through her actions and lectures. It was amazing getting to learn from her and I plan on getting into as many of her classes as I can! It is classes like this that give colleges a good name!

Chevalier is easily the sweetest woman I have ever had as a professor. She completely understands anything and everything, and does not make attendance mandatory because you can watch her lectures on Canvas, as she posts each one. Despite this class being almost effortless, I still learned more in here than in any other class. Amazing professor!

Dr. Chevalier is such a good professor. It is so easy to learn from her lectures, but if you don't want to learn anything you don't have to come to class and all the test answers can be found online (the few that aren't are on a page on canvas she makes for every chapter with all of the info).

Ms. Chevalier is a fantastic teacher, very friendly, and easy to ask questions or visit if you need help. She lets you use notes on tests but her slides are so good you probably won't need them! Assignments are also easy as it's through McGraw Hill and it lets you look back at the book if you have questions.

She was a great professor and her class was easy. attendance wasn't necessary, there were smartbook assignments almost every week, 4 portfolio assignments (easy) I believe, a quiz in the week before exams, and 4 exams. the exams and quizzes were not difficult.

Dr. Chevalier's class was a welcome break from the rigor and stress of most college classes. It is quite easy to get an A in her class - Smartbooks are completion grades, the only writing is four 1-page essays throughout the semester, and the quizzes and tests cover material that is mostly common sense even if you don't attend her lectures.

She is awesome!!! Professor Chevalier's class was genuinely my favorite class I've taken at OU. She makes lectures so fun, does so well at explaining concepts, and makes her students feel heard and understood. You can tell she seriously wants her students to succeed and have fun learning! Professor Chevalier was super interesting to listen to!!! Her lectures made you want to pay attention even though you weren't required to come. She alos gives an entire notes overview which you can take and tweak to your own studying! There also aren't too many assignments! She doesn't hold class the day before a test to give us rest aswell!

There was a smart book due every week but two are dropped at the end of the semester. A few essays are given but they are short and as long as your read the material you should be fine. Dr. Chevalier is an excellent professor. Her lectures were very interesting and engaging. The weekly Smartbook assignments took about an hour each and there were four 300-word papers that were basically completion. Tests were online and open-resource. Overall, a very good professor who makes an already interesting subject into a manageable class.

Dr. Chevalier is incredible. Her lectures are so interesting and easy to understand. Weekly smartbooks that took me 30 minutes max, six 300-word papers, and 8 random attendances in class with 2 dropped. It is a super easy but interesting class, I cannot recommend her enough.

Professor chevalier was a very engaged lecturer and it's evident that she genuinely cares about the topics that she teaches. The course linked lab was the most difficult part of this class because of the amount of papers and the length of the papers that you have to do. But overall, a very easy and doable class.

She is amazing! There are random attendance quizzes but as long as you attend the lectures frequently you'll be fine. Her lectures were always very interesting and easy to follow, and she always let us out early! Make sure you are studying for the exams and you're all good.

I find myself applying the stuff we cover in class into my own life sometimes. 100% recommend. Be aware that there are 4 short 300 word papers but they are easy.

I've had Dr.C for the past 3 semesters (dif psych classes) and she is amazing!! Tests are in person + closed note but the finals have all been online :) Great lectures + is such a good story teller and really cares about what she is talking about. Very kind, caring, and accommodating too! HIGHLY RECOMEND!

Dr. C was one of the best professors I've had here at OU. She always makes her lectures interesting so that following along and note taking is easier. I would recommend going to class because she will have random attendance pop quizzes that are a good amount of points that will be apart of your final grade. Just attend class and you'll be fine.

Dr. Chevalier is an amazing professor! Her lectures are always engaging, and time flies in her class. Lifespan Development is really interesting and provides very applicable knowledge to our lives.

I absolutely love Dr. C! Attendance is not mandatory, but she does do random "In-Class" assignments that require you to be in class to get credit. She is very passionate about Lifespan Development and uses real-world examples and personal examples that help make the subject understanding. Totally recommend her!!!!

I took her for lifespan and retook her for social psych. Be prepared to show up to the lecture as it's important, but her lectures are lightweight and easy to understand. The assignments you do have are straightforward and simple, definitely not a difficult course if you just do the assignments which don't take a lot of time.

If you have the ability to take one of Dr. C's classes, DO IT. This is my second semester with her and I've genuinely enjoyed every single one of her lectures. The class grading/assignments/expectations are very straightforward. Attendance is not graded but she has occasional in-class assignments that are.
