She is the sweetest prof ever. she makes things really easy to understand. the class content isn't hard aslong as you do the practice problems, however the lab assignments are a bit tricky. she's super fast responding to emails and super understanding. I loved having her as a prof and I recommend her to everyone!

such a wonderful lady with great lectures. i started going to her courses instead of H. De Silva's because of how terrible her lectures are, and the difference is night and day. I can truthfully say I wish i enrolled in her class from day one. I feel sorry for all the people with De Silva who now hate stats, Reimer actually makes you enjoy it.

Tessa is a very knowledgeable and kind professor. She explains every concept in depth and answers questions very clearly. Her teaching style makes everything easy to understand and even if you miss a lecture, she posts the slides containing her written notes. If you're looking to take stats 1000, I would highly suggest that you take it with her.

I would recommend Tessa to anyone taking STAT 1000. At times the class got a bit lecture-heavy but that was because of a May-June term.

What a great professor!!! I recommend taking STAT1000 with her. Also, it's not hard to get high marks with her, just study her slides and do the practice questions that are posted in the course.

Love this prof, she really inspires me as she is a young woman teaching stats. She explains things pretty well and overall the subject wasn't too difficult. Just make sure you do the practice questions and practice test and you will do great!

I had to retake this course for a usable credit. Let me tell you, Tessa is just amazing, She cares and tries her best to answer your questions even though she has 3 classes of 200+ students to help. I had her for STAT 1000 and chose her again for 2000 because I felt her teaching really contributed to my success in stat 1000. She really wants her students to succeed and is very accessible outside of class. She is also willing to post solutions to any questions you may have which was helpful for STAT 2000.

Love Tessa! She's only been at UofM a little over a year, so fewer reviews than Andrew, but she makes this course 10x easier. She explains complicated stuff simply, makes sure everyone gets iClicker answers before closing the poll (free marks!) and genuinely wants you to succeed. Andrew's good, but Tessa takes her time and gives plenty of examples.

Tessa has genuinely been the single best prof ive had so far in the University of Manitoba. she explains all concepts well, and throughly, makes everything seem not confusing, posts practice problems, midterms and exams. her video where she explained the practice midterm got me a way above average grade, compared to Andrew Morris's practice exam.

Highly Recommended!!! Take Statistics with her and you will love it. I took Stat 1000 with her and I had a great experience. The way she breaks things down makes it easy to understand. Not a super easy class, especially if you aren't comfortable with the material covered in Stat1000, but she did a really good job explaining the material, with step by step practice questions and examples. Assignments, quizzes, and final were all reasonable if you study, though her midterms tends to be slightly more difficult.

She's the best proff you can get for stats. Her lectures are easy to follow, and she genuinely cares about her students and their grades. She walks through each problem and question with you, making sure everyone understands the concept. Great at explaining, and her slides are even better.

Yeah this class was fun. I suggest attending as many classes as you can as she is very good at explaining concepts and she also does iClickers that aren't visible if you're not in class. There is an abundance of study materials if you are struggling. She is a great teacher that makes and already easy class easier

Tessa is VERY good at teaching this subject, she is very organized, uses a lot of different examples, provides students with everything needed to do well, and makes all her grading criteria very clear. If you take the time to go to lectures and do the practice questions you absolutely will do well in this class.

Luckily, all first year stat profs are good, but I felt like Tessa's notes were the best. Unlike for Stats1000 I didn't need Grants Tutoring if I wanted to go ahead, her notes show every example that you will encounter with detailed explanations. She's also the most relaxed on iclickers, but they are never hard anyway.

Hands down the greatest lecturer I've had at UofM. Her classes were enjoyable, easy to follow and very thorough. Although her courses can be challenging to some Tessa makes it a lot easier. There is lots of work however... just keep on top of it and you will be fine as she lets you know about due dates and upcoming events lots in class.
