EASY TEST AND EASY EXAM. IF U FAIL, U ARE A RETARD....IT'S JUST HER VOICE...I CANT TAKE IT...SHE IS VERY VERY NICE....BUT THAT VOICE......SHE HAS A DR. IN MATH AND TEACHES AT U OF T AS WELL....SHE'S GREAT(VOICE HAS TO GO)
I think the guy who rated this prof below me has a crayon lodged into his brain. She's absolutely horrible. I can get past her voice no problem.. just the way she present her material. You gotta be sucking up to her big time to think she's good. Get real.
I agree with the guy below, that guy has something lodged up his mouth, presentation is HORRIBLE...so unclear...who cares about deriving equations...WRITE something on the board
Decent course. I love how she uses the mic every class when it does nothing to amplify her voice. Shes a good professor with a degree in everything so she knows her stuff. perhaps the problem was that she knew too much and couldnt explain herself in simpler terms. But overall: good course.
she's okay but she can go better regarding teaching in class.

She sounds like a man trying to imitate a woman's voice.
Mizz Piggy voice, first off. Secondly, she is not a bad person, just requires her needs to be fulfilled: close the door, don't talk. It's a shame the material isn't that interesting, and that she's not that great of a teacher either
LOLOLOL. Absolutely has no clue. Just rambles on and on while the class falls asleep. OMG, we didn't pay $6000 to have somebody with a PhD read a textbook. TEACH! Give analogies and write something down on the blackboard for god's sake.
INCREDILE! GREAT, NICE TEACHER. VERY HELPFUL. KIND AND UNDERSTANDING. ONE OF THE GREATEST JUST TO TALK AND TO SOCIAL WITH.
Hahaha I have to agree with the guys about how she's just horrible. Her accent is horrendous and possibly just drone you to death. She's nice but honestly... she can't present the material well.
ok, not that clear about anything really but tries her best. funny STUPID funny!! alway's checking the Discussion Board and is a little crazy about people Talking in class though can't do anything about it. She think's she is talkin to kid's so Mumble's sort of. QUIZ 10% and online & only 6 stupid question's
I remember Tetyana was the 1st prof I saw at university. Really she tries her best, but she's so messy. I was angry that day with her cuz she didn't undersatnd ma'question and started yelling ..I felt so sad. She made a mistake in grading ma' paper and until now she has'nt done nothing. Her exams are good..no doubt she's not a good prof.
Useless!
Not a great teacher...Can't even stay focused in her class...plus final exam worth 50% of just 24 multiple choice questions is horrible...

Tetyana Antimirova: " Where did the lights go...where did the screen go ..ohhh!!!... i dont know what i m teaching...."
No idea wut she's talking.. one of the worse teacher..-> proven with #. Beginning of term, class size 70+. End of term. 12...and yes i counted... and guys, PLZ! check ur marks after every single tests & exams.. marks are wrong(well for me).
boring class....i'm just glad that i passed my psc 125 with her as my prof! just present everything that is in the book without explaining much further and some mistakes while doing some problems. and her voice,i prefer not to hear it.drfiting me to sleep.
good teacher and a very nice person who helps students. For all physics courses students have to study their own, instructors dont solve every problems in class. Those who rate this instructor bad are not smart. Antomorova is great
This prof works hard to make a boring subject interesting. Physics is not the most interesting topic to discuss or teach. As a professional tutor, and a student of Dr. Antimirova who attended her lectures, I understand the difficulties any prof goes through. She does have an annoying voice. Learn to listen beyond her voice. You'll be able to learn
She teaches exactly what needs to be learned for the exam. Super nice teacher. Hopefully I'll have her for more classes in the future.
Little bit of an annoying voice but her lectures are spot on and she makes every possible attempt to ensure the students understand every concept. I would take another of her classes in a second.
I can't even understand her in orientation class, i feel so sorry for those who're in her physics class.
worst teacher ever her voice might kill u
gives u good hints what can be in exam and tests...wrks hard but sometimes hard to understand
worst teacher ever i have no idea how did she get to physics she has no physics properties at all coming to her class is wasting of time
High pitched voice doesn't help when teaching physics.
Hard to understand her and does not teach good.
very good prof, she is one of few profs that really understand physics, and she is a high achiever by nature so she works really hard to help students understand. physics is one one of the hardest subjects but her hints and noted are really helpful. when you ask her she will help you get to the answer by yourself which is a very good way to learn.
a really great physics teacher, hard to understand for some but she teaches physics very well.
BEST TEACHER EVER!!! She's a really good teacher and she's so funny. Her preperation for mid-terms and exams is very good. Attending class is a plus because she does throw out hints and lectures will help for studying! I had the best time in her class :)
OK so the first day I attended her physics class. I immediately fell in love with her voice!!! It was so funny and made physics 100% more interesting! Now that I am taking physics part 2 and she is no longer the prof, physics is not the same! SO word of advice treasure the moments you have with her! OMG What happend to the screen.i am so embarased!
The worst prof ever.
Not a good prof and her explanation is toolong and complicated.also she cant focus on anything properly
She's a very easygoing and kind person. Being from the Ukraine, she does have an accent and a high-pitched voice making it difficult to understand her in lectures. If you see her after class or during office hours, she is helpful to students. Physics is naturally a difficult course, so the textbook is always handy.
very hard to fallow and not helpful
Extremely nice, very knowledgeble, goes out of her way to help you. Very motherly and sweet. Her voice during class is NOTHING like her voice in Russian. I spoke to her in Russian and she sounds sweet and calming, but in English it turns to high pitched version that is hard to listen to.
She cares about her students; however, is unable to effectively manage her class. Very approachable during her office hours and after class. She tries to provide a effective learning environment, but the rowdy/noisy/snoring kids more often than not manage to get her to lose control over the class. Midterm and Final are moderately hard.
I did not enjoy the class with THIS professor. She cares for her students yes, but cannot (for the life of her) communicate with us. I disliked her as our professor. Received a B+......
It is impossible to understand what she is saying in lectures! Self study!!!
Extremely nice when you ask questions etc. Knows her stuff as well. But has high pitched voice which kind of makes it hard. Other than that, she's pretty good.
She was very helpful to me. The high pitched voice was kind of irritating, but it didn't disturb me too much. For physics 2 I had another prof who had a normal voice and that had to be THE worst class I've had. So overall, Dr. Antimirova was a good prof for me. :)
Super nice and enthusiastic! Makes you want to love physics.. even though its impossible! Lovely person, hate physics still though
So sweet but at times a little irritating due to her voice and habit of slapping the table to quiet the class down. Explanations are not as clear as I would have liked. She is fine for PCS120 because it's all review from high school, but I would avoid her for harder courses. She uses a lot of clicker questions. Her midterm was very easy.
Dr. Antimirova was great! She genuinely cared about her students and wanted to see them succeed. She provided a lot of excellent resources for testexam prep (past testsexams, problem sets, suggested textbook problems). The key to doing well in any physicsmath course is practice and with this prof you will get plenty.
Always tries to help to her best ability. Uses a lot of questions done in lecture and mastering assignments on midterm and final. Gives extra practice problems from the textbook. Overall very helpful but lectures are a little boring and can be unclear at times. She doesn't like it when people talk during lecture. Clicker participation counts!
Hearing her voice will give you a headache, it is extremely high and very irritating. She also understood what maybe 250 questions were asked by students during her lectures and therefore gave horrible feedback. Physics alone is hard and she does not help with this.
She has a really annoying and voice, it makes the material hard to understand. I would usually skip lectures and read from the textbook. it is somewhat useful going to the lectures, but i personally did not like her style, though some do
MOST ANNOYING PROF FROM FIRST YEAR EVER. Her voice is the worst thing for 8am lecture. sooo high pitched. Going to class is basically useless cuz she teaches herself but expects everyone to be super quiet but u have to go to class cuz of those iclicker questions throughout the lecture that are worth for marks. Basically go, sleep, & study on ur own
she was hella nice and happy and fun.
Doesn't even understand basic english.
I love her voice! Pick her if u havent taken any physics at all! She doesnt mind staying after class going over the material with u and wont make u feel stupid. Got 66% on midterms and got 93% on exam but thats cas i worked hard, started attending SLG sessions (i strongly recommend!!), and did the qns on the book & masteringphysics.
Her voice was very cute but she often did not project it. This lead to many students in the class talking over her as unfortunately she could not control the class. I found her explanations to be unclear.
A nice professor overall. I did not find problem in her accent tbh. Always there to help you, even after the class. treats students as her own children.
Dr. Tetyana is often subjected to bias because of her accent. Honestly, it shouldn't matter, because the material is in her slides and examples she does in class. Shes really helpful if you go after class and have any other issues. Although I wouldn't take her again she isn't too bad. It is vital to stay on top of things because it can be confusing
Dr. Antimirova has a mediocre-at-best grasp of the english language. Her lectures were difficult to understand.
You can do well in this course by: reading slides, doing practice problems she assigns in the textbook, going to SLG sessions for more practice questions and doing every extra practice she posts on mastering physics. For my exam more than half the exam was a direct copy and paste from the mastering physics practice exam she posted.
Just go to her lecture, does midterm and exam problems during lectures. If you go to the lectures you can easily get a B.
Horrible at communicating with her students. not a single one of my emails has she acknowledge all semester and also doesn't show up to her office hours. so really unless you talk to her in class shes hard to have an discussion with. Bring ear plugs to class.
It was so hard to even understand what she was talking about half the time. Even if you did understand, her voice was so screechy that you could not pay attention for longer than 5 minutes. She does care about the students in the sense of telling us all we need to know, but she is horrible when it comes to feedback -- good luck with getting that
She is all over the place and her voice is too annoying to bear. Her test was super easy though and did not cover the difficult questions to physics. I took physics in highschool though so that may be why I found it easy. For people who are first learning the subject it may be difficult.
Found her lectures quite dry, if you weren't passionate about the subject you will get bored or zone out, but you can tell she does really care about her students. Possible to get A though, as long as you work hard, unless you took physics in high school, because then it would be alot easier
All quizzes, midterms and the final are open book. She reuses problems done in class, so getting a good grade in this class is easy if you have good notes. Overall, don't rely on the professor to deliver the material thoroughly, be ready to refer to the textbook and youtube for extra help.
She will not hold your hand through the class, but she teaches the material that you need to know. Most questions that come up on the tests and exams are assigned from homework, available on past midterms or examples in lecture questions. If you do the work you will get a good grade, and she is very helpful if you go to office hours.
She's genuinely a caring person, she wants everyone to succeed and do well in her class. Although her lectures are heavy, she does example problems and a lot of clickers. The clickers and online stuff do come back on midterms. At first I didn't like her, but she has grown on me.
She is a very nice lady (with a horrendous voice) but on a professors stand point she cannot teach. Her slides are dated and she more or less thinks that you already know the material, as supposed to actually going through it. Going to her class is a MUST because her clicker questions are based on participation AND getting the correct answer.
One of the nicest teachers I have met! She really cares about your grade and wants you to pass and helps you out as much as she can! Put in some work into the course and youll do great!
People give this prof too much trouble because of her accent. They don't even try to listen and sit in the back staring at their phones. Show up, pay some attention, and you'll have the concepts all down. Antimirova is an excellent, respected prof. I hate physics but if I had to take another class I'd take her again!
Literally the sweetest prof, you dont even have to go to her class if you read the textbook, everything she posts for test review is gold and will literally be the same questions or really similair ones
lectures are a waste of time
she seems very caring but teaching wise, she cant teach very well and it has nothing to do with her accent. In my opinion, she makes a great counselor rather than a proff.
Midterms and Final exams are really hard especially if you've never taken physics before. Never taking her class again!!
Dr. Antimirova is probably one of the smartest people I've ever met. She knows her stuff inside and out, but expects you to work hard to master it. She won't coddle you but she will help. A lot of people don't give her credit/respect: they just sit on their phones, don't even try to listen, talk through lectures, then complain when they fail.
Dr. Antimirova definitely cares about her students and their success. She provides many practice problems to help prepare for exams. However, her lectures are extremely dry and it is very hard to focus!! You're better off reading the textbook and doing past midterms to prepare for the exams.
Physics is a hard subject for a lot of people but Tetyana makes it harder! Her slides are not organized and you can't understand anything she says. She's just an awful prof and the worst part is that she tells you to not go to class if you don't want to but we still use clickers questions. And you can either have 5/5 on them or 0/5!
omg she is so bad at teaching. if you have her for pcs plz plz switch out save ur money and time. She doesnt know how to teach, she just rambles the whole time and says "guys plz be quite" you wont understand a word she says. pcs 120 went to class because of clicker but pcs ii no clicker dont bother stay home. not recommended at all
She's a nice prof and I think overall a good teacher, however, you might want to bring earplugs. Her voice is lowkey (highkey) annoying but she is super nice and genuinely cares for her students. If this course is mandatory for you, just get it done and never look back. Definitely study and do the practice questions that she gives you.
She was extremely disorganized in how she taught and the material she provided. It always seemed like she threw it together last minute, or is just using pieces from another course. The material was already super heavy, but she made it more confusing as she made mistakes all the time, which students corrected. You had to teach yourself everything.
Very fair. Her tests are not too hard. However, her lectures did not really prepare anyone for the tests. The labs were pretty boring and a pain to do. The exam, however, was pretty challenging, but doable if you put the time in to study. Make sure you do those textbook problems for practice!!
After the first week and realizing how useless the lectures are for the course, I just used the textbook to teach myself the material. If you are okay as a self learner just teach yourself or maybe try and attend other profs lectures. Tests were fair, aside from the very little time we were given to answer any of the questions.
Great prof. Boring lectures but she's real caring as she'll spend as much time you need helping you in office hours and the questions on her tests are basic and straight-forward. Highly recommend her if you're not into Physics cause trust me she'll make u like it. Just don't forget to read the textbook and practice as much problems as you can too.
A real gem. She truly cares about student success by adjusting grade allocations, extending office hours, providing extra credit and large amounts of additional material. Tests were also fair and a lot easier than the tutorials and homework problems. Highly recommend taking her if Physics is not your thing but you still want to do well.
Great prof. She genuinely cares about students & wants everyone to do well in the course. Physics isn't the easiest of subjects but she definitely put forth a great amount of effort to make sure every student understood the concepts, while also going through some problem solving questions during lecture. The midterm & final were quite fair.
Her lectures are dry so you can easily study the textbook/slides on your own and do well. Test questions were always one-step and simple compared to the tutorials/homework problems. Overall really enjoyed it; so chill and stress-free I was surprised this was a physics course.
I'd say she's the best Physics prof offered for first year so if you have her as an option, take it with her. Have nothing bad to say. Just like any course, do the homework, revise and ur guaranteed an A+.
Literally the worst prof. Her lectures are supremely boring and useless. She doesn't do any practice problems. Her midterm was 20% that was to be done in 60min. The class average was 33%. This says something, but no she still blames us for everything. Also, she decided not to curve. DO NOT TAKE TETYANA. Take Eric
Very boringgggggg classes. She Does not know how to teach properly. Do not take physics with her. You will either drop it or get a mark that you do not deserve
Absolutely ridiculous. The good reviews earlier must be paid. Her lectures r long, draggy and lack methods on solving questions. The Mastering has content we did not learn in class and the midterm was so outrageous that the entire class failed (average was 33%). I dropped the course and warn anyone, NEVER take Physics with Tetyana. Horrible.
Her class of 300+ students averaged a 33% on the midterm. The test consisted of 9 word problem questions & 3 MC, where you had to type JUST YOUR ANSWER in D2L. Somehow she refused to do anything about it; no dropping the midterm/belling the curve. She claimed the midterm's representative of the class even though me & my peers had >90% prior to it.
Very Hard Course, but average were sig boosted significantly at the end. She went over the bare basics and you wont be able to pass the course if you don't take hours to study by yourself. Would recommended to do the course in clang school instead.
You definitely will not pass this class by going to lecture alone. The class is mostly problem-solving and she mainly goes over the information of each subject in lecture. You have to do the textbook questions yourself to understand the material. If you do that she is a pretty favourable grader.
she's not caring nor understanding. I learned everything from YouTube and reading the textbook. I did not attend her lectures after I realized they are useless. I got a good mark only because I tried very hard myself. I did not learn anything from her.
Dr. Antimirova was a great professor! She is really caring and wants her students to do well. She offers live lectures, many opportunities to improve, and office hours. Physics is not easy to teach so students must establish a greater understanding of the concepts using resources, but the course was fair. Try to get her as a professor!
Midterm and final was nothing like what she taught. Her lectures are so hard to pay attention to. Her slides are a mess and she has annotations everywhere. You basically have to teach yourself everything in the textbook and are just wasting time going to her classes.
Got low 90s in hs physics so I wasn't too worried, but I was wrong. I couldn't understand her lectures. My class got the worst midterm marks in the history of the course w/ an avg of 33% (I got a 16.7%) and it was worth 30%. Sacrificed my well-being to get a B+. Wouldn't rec if you have no background in physics. For an intro course, it was v hard.
I don't know how people are saying some of the stuff they are saying, professor Antimirova is the best professor I have ever had during my time at Ryerson. She is really good at explaining concepts to the point where you don't have to do any practice problems or read the textbook at all. Just show up for the exams or midterm and you'll pass.
Might as well just end up teaching the whole damn course yourself, or get a tutor. Tetyana can not teach for the life of her and her lectures are absolutely useless. I had to literally sacrifice my whole self-being to actually pass. I would recommend another teacher for this course but unfortunately all the professors who teach this course sucks.
dr antimirova was not great. she didn't go over many examples or calculations during class, and often rushed through difficult material. i only did well because my grade 12 physics teacher was amazing, and the curriculum is basically the same. i'd say the midterm and exam were reasonable. but if this is your first time taking physics ... good luck
Never shows examples in class and expects you to learn everything during tutorials. Expects questions to be asked to TAs no matter what. Do not take a course with Antimirova if you can it will only drop your GPA. Exams are incredibly difficult even with immense studying and are not similar to practice exams. Good luck guys.....
I came from a hard high school so I was very well prepared yet I still struggled with tutorial questions. If you come with no prior knowledge be warned you will need to work very hard, as she doesn't go over hard problems or explain anything well in lectures. You will need to self study as I did. I skipped lectures, they were useless.
Had her for PCS120 and PCS130, all I can say is may God be with you. You are gonna be on your own my friend. I had to learn everything by myself, I taught the course TO myself.
Her accent is too hard to understand better luck studying on your own
Dr. Antimirova is a very nice prof who is easy to approach. Its very nice the amount of practice midterms/exams she posts. On the other hand I can only say that I was successful in this course due to my prior knowledge because the lectures didnt help. It felt like she's either slide reading or rambling. Mastering as tutorials are mark boosters.
Antimirova is love, antimirova is life
Tetyana may not be a good lecturer, BUT her exams are predictable with practice on past exams. Labs are easy with a good TA. Tutorials rely on textbook problems + online resources. Grading is fair. Study smart, attend lectures, sit in the front, and ask questions to succeed. I got an A- in PCS 120 and an A+ in PCS 130, it is possible.
Exams are predictable because she gives a lot of sample exams to aid exam prep. She is passionate about teaching and is very willing to answer questions.
She is a very good professor, however, despite her passion for physics and teaching she isn't the best teacher. She's helpful when you ask her a question directly and her exams are similar to practice and sample exams she posts. Her grading is fair and if you do good on stuff labs, tut, homework, you'll be fine when it comes to the exams.
save your time and dont take this profs class. You wont gain any knowledge, only depression and stress. Prof looks like and sounds like she hasnt slept in 65 days idk how she was teaching a class of 500 kids. everyone in this class got a terrible grade and she didnt even curve. she is maleficent irl for her pure evilness of not curving.
tatiana is a really cute and funny prof lol. shes really really sweet as well, if you have any concerns or issues with anything she tries to help to the best of her abilities! her lectures arent really great, but her office hours really help! 1 on 1 with her is great and she makes sure there is a clear understanding of your concerns/problems!
She can't rlly teach. She explains everything in an overly complicated way and I'd get confused even though I already knew most of the content from hs. HOWEVER, she rlly wanted everyone to do well- she would tell us the correct pollev answers and she also replaced our midterm marks with the final exam mark if we did better on the final.
I feel as though she was disrespected heavily by a lot of first year students that were not ready for university and did not care about the material, as if they were forced to be there. A lot of people talking made the class harder to focus on; but if you can focus she's a good professor. She actively tries her best, which is a lot better than most
Decent prof, but doesn't do problems on the board often or at all. Pulls up slideshows with graphs and does derivations, but that's pretty much it. It's not a crazy hard course, but I got a good mark despite her not because of her. She's considerate about marking, she decided to drop our midterms if we did better on the final.
Hard to understand at some time. Make sure you are always paying attention because if you look away for a second, so much new material will appear on the board.
save your time . dont take her class. It tanked my average . She totally overloads every class
