Teaches a terrific Unix class

Thaddeus is a good teacher. Did not expierence anything bad, like previous ratings indicated. He gives quizzes and tests that are over the book, from the test bank from the book website. If you're not going to do the reading, you will not pass those. If you do it, it is pretty simple. Labs are not hard either. His thick accent may cause issues.

Extremely good professor for teaching an online course of study. Most of us left wishing that he taught more than just this one class. His methods of teaching while probably not unique were very precise and encouraged class participation and interaction.

Awesome teacher! I haven't had a better classroom experience since I was a small child...

Thaddeus Konar is a professor that is dedicated to imparting a clear understanding of computer science. If a student wants a good grade in his class the student need only show-up, pay attention, ask questions, put sufficient time into study, take notes, and read the text. .

I enjoyed this class a lot. I learned more from the class then I expected I would in the beginning. I like Konar's style of teaching. I wish more online instructors would teach along the same lines.

Thaddeus is extremely knowledgeable and a competent teacher. I do feel that he should teach at higher levels and not beginner courses. He has a very low tolerance for stupidity and lame excuses and has no problem showing it. Overall, I enjoyed the class and will take any other course he instructs.

The lab textbook is useful. i am keeping it as a references book.

when I started this CS120 class I knew nothing about the computer except how to turn it on and type my papers for my classes and Check my e-mail since the class I have learn very valuable things that i will be able to use going out into the working world Mr. konart is a fantastic teacher and really makes learning fun and easy to understand.

He knows a lot about his subject. Make sure if you don't understand something you ask in class, to clarify.

I really enjoyed going to this class .The cirriculum was not that hard we hardly used the book and alot was all hands on. over all on a scale of 1-10 I give this teacher a 9

The teacher was fair and understanding. Definitely have to attend daily Monday through Friday online logins required.

Mr. Konar is a great professor, always available for questions, assistance and was always positive. His grading system is very helpful and encouraging as you can see your grades each week and know where you stand.

I was nervous about taking this class, but Thaddeus was a very good teacher. He knows the material very well and he encouraged the students to figure out a lot for ourselves, and I feel like I learned and retained the material much better because of this. He can also be quite funny and I always enjoyed class even though it was early in the morning.

Intro to Internet. Made class very fun and enjoyable, especially for an online couse. Thanks!

Thaddeus is the bomb

Not sure about the class code. This was an Intro to the Internet class. Learned a lot without having any tests. It was a really nice change.

Mr. Konar encouraged us to participate in discussion's but he also contributed helpful information as well as fun/interesting links for us. Good job.

I found this to be a great class. Thaddeus didn't use the book but rather made up creative assignments that kept me engaged. The in-class content was always hands-on which works well for me.

He was great and very accessible

This was the hardest class I've taken in a long time. I learned a lot. Thanks Thaddeus, you're a crack-up!

I would think it would be quite difficult to monitor & manage an online class. Professor Konar made it look easy. I was challenged by the course and learned a great deal.

He has a great personality and obviously loves to teach but he's very unorganized. I took him during his first term of teaching at UO and it seemed like a lot of the time he didn't know which way was up.

I have no complaints. I loved the format. I got help when needed. It was fun.

Mr. Konar was an awesome instructor and I look forward to taking more classes that he teaches, even if it is not on my degree plan... :)

He can be a bit abrupt but all in all he teaches a great course. I like how those students who were using stupid excuses got called on it. He communicates well.

I loved the class. Konar is a knowlegable, interesting, inspiring instructor. He expects the best from us. His teaching style is engrossing, informative, enthusiastic. A lot of work was required, it was a difficult subject, but he made it attainable. I feel fortunate to have had him for a teacher. He's a natural.

As long as you participate and are involved with your postings you will get full credit. No tests and routine homework. Great teacher and very easy class.

I really enjoyed this class!I love the way Mr. Konar set it up. I learned so much. He was always there when I asked him anything and answered very promptly to any questions I had. I think that other teachers could learn a thing or two from him in the teaching department. :)Overall, I give him an A+ and would love to take another class from him :)

Easy class, liked the format, easy to follow and understand. Teacher was clear in his instructions and helpful to those that needed extra instructions.

One of the best CIT instructors from LCC. I have referred many to his classes at LCC. His grading system is tremendous if you are a fan of Star Trek. You are assigned the name of a character from the franchise to secure your anonymity while looking at all students grades for the term. His humor and his courteous demeanor were a pleasure.

I took Thaddeus' online Intro to the Internet class. The format was a full class participation forum, and responses/assignments were expected daily, M-F. It was a challenge for me, since I had other classes to attend to, but Thaddeus was supportive and helpful, and the material we studied more fascinating than I originally thought.

This was an easy class to ACE. One person I recall came in with an attitude and challenged the professor's authority. We did see his attacks as they were shared with all of us. This professor has dignity, a love of the subject and I did check out his background. Trust me when I saw he is qualified to the hilt. I miss his style here at CTU.

He made the class fun and really eas to do. I had a busy schedule with 2 small kids and as long as assignments were in at midnight you got credit. He makes the class so easy to do

This is a professor who really knows how to teach the student how to learn the material, and you learn without realizing how much you are learning. There was a lot of work, but if you put in the time, he gave you credit for it.

He was very helpful and knew his stuff. if you do the work it is an easy A.

He is blunt and I wouldn't say that he's helpful. . .but he does expect you to read ALL of his posts and announcement before asking him a question; he'll just refer you to his announcements. But then again, we are in college, so it is our responsibility to know what we're supposed to do. He's strict on his directions- but if you follow it,it's easy

He's a good teacher. Has a lot of rules about how to submit assignments so they match up with his email rules which was slightly annoying, but really it's not much to ask. It's great the way he has the class converse with each other online, we all get a chance at teaching each other. Definitely a quality instructor in my book.

I took the online class it was some what unusual. Typically online classes allow for more flexibility but in this class we were required to post every day and you could not post early it had to be exactly on the day that it was due or you would not receive credit. Other then that it was useful because I use the Internet on daily basis.

This was a great class I learned so much Mr. Konar is a fun and hands on teacher, although I took this class online I got to interact with my class on a regular basis. He answers all questions in a timely manner and doesn't act bothered by your questions if I could take more classes with him as a teacher I would!!!!!!

Mr. Konar was an excellent professor! He was always available to help us when we were confused, but for the most part he encouraged the students to work interdependently to aid each other in understanding the material. His format is unusual: mandatory daily forum posts, and you couldn't work ahead, but as a bonus we had no exams! Terrific teacher!

Too much daily work for an online class. Should be able to do online classes at my convenience. That's the whole point of online classes.

Nice guy, cool class, very fun class!

Mr. Konar is a very lively instructor. He is quite knowledgeable in the overall background/history of computing. He's a bit of a hilarious and whacky type of guy. Unfortunately, most of the material for this prerequisite course I already knew; however, he kept me entertained and surprisingly I didn't fall asleep! I'd recommend him as an instructor.

Mr. Konar knows the subject matter very well and gives in depth lectures of each chapter. He always took the time to clarify, if something was unclear. He is very personable and has a fun sense of humor. He always responded to my emails in a timely manner and shared informative links with the class via email... He is a very good Professor!

Class was worth the cost. Loved the format and scheduling. Teacher came across a little OCD at first, but it made sense a few weeks in. I'm glad he didn't give in to those who thought they could ignore the instructions, show up at the last minute and post work and expect as good grade as those who did the work as requested.

Instructions on how the class worked and what was expected were very clear and concise. The professor was strict on the following of these which made for better class participation and a smoother moving class. The professor was always available, but let the conversations alone to encourage true participation and expression of opinion.

Thaddeus Konar was the best. Helpful, interesting, funny. Knows and loves this subject. Prefers Windows systems over Macintosh, but it's not really an issue. You will love this guy if you take his class.
