The soon to be Dr. Thadius is insightful and unserstanding. I greatly respect this man, and i appreciate all the guidance he has given towards being successful both is education and life. This man has so much to offer the world. He's changing the world by disseminating information and fostering understanding.

Best sociology teacher I ever had, class was never boring always had interesting talks and decisions in class. Three major assignments. Midterm, final and a research paper. class wasn't hard at all very easy to understand. talked about problems in the real world .

Professor Thadius Batiste is an excellent professor! I enjoyed going to class because he applied the course material to life. His intriguing factual evidence and realistic view of life motivates me to research trending world topics. I am excited for future classes in sociology because Prof. Thadius gave me a great foundation in my Intro SOCI class.

During class, you get to escape the outside world. You are opened to new ways of thinking, and your eyes are truly opened due to factual evidence.

Amazing teacher! The book is not really needed. He gives lively and hilarious lectures related to life experiences. Incredibly understanding of life circumstances. Attendance is not priority, but you wouldnt want to miss it.

Professor Batiste makes sociology interesting by using real life examples to explain the material. Hes very informative. Yes you have to do the work required but its not excessive and its manageable. I highly recommended taking his class!

this class was very interesting and I learned a lot about the world around me. He does not give to many assignments but when he does they are essays or a group project. Take notes if you feel like at and listen to him!

He doesnt take attendance every class, but if you dont pass due to your absences dont expect him to be bending over backwards to ensure that you pass. It took me about a week to get used to his lecture style, but once I did he was an amazing professor. He knows what hes talking about, and encourages class participation.

Great teacher. His style is a bit unconventional, but he relates real world topics to his lecture. Sometimes he goes off on his soapbox, but I loved his class. Definitely taking again in the future.

Although Batiste is an easy teacher, I learned a lot! His lectures were interesting and related to himself and the class. There was one paper and had to be read in front of the class. Besides that, his tests were pretty straight forward and he cares a lot about his students and his reputation.

This was my first time taking a Sociology class and Professor Batiste made it one of my favorite classes of the semester. He gives great lectures and incorporates relatable stories to help students learn and retain the information in his class. The homework load is average but if you put in the work & dont fall behind you will most likely get an A!

Sometimes had tears in my eyes from laughing from his jokes. Great teacher even better teacher. My favorite class this semester. Someone i would be friends with outside of school.

He keeps the class interesting, doesnt overload with homework and provides plenty of extra credit. You will need to read the book, but he lets you use a free online version and explains the material well. You will actually want to attend class, and hes very understanding if something happens and you need to miss one or two.

His class is very easy and pretty straight forward. He goes over each chapter and give many scenarios and examples which give you a better understanding to his lectures. He also is gives extra credit for many things and is very flexible with assignments.

My second time taking Professor Batiste, for Sociology Subjects. He's an AMAZING PROFESSOR. Wish I can take him again. Don't think twice, select Professor Batiste for Sociology. Wish SLCC had more like Professor Batiste at its Lafayette Campus.

Not accessible outside of class. Professor takes a couple of days to respond to emails and canvas messages. Although, you should not really need to email him since his assignments are really straightforward and simple.

This professor is good. He talks about things that are interesting and current in the world, and he is pretty funny. All of the tests are pretty easy because most of the information is in the textbook. Be prepared to read!

He gives really clear instructions for the discussions that we do. His lectures are very interesting because he uses relevant, real-world examples to relate them to the topic. The only thing that I didn't like was his lectures did not correlate with the discussion for that week and would be a couple of chapters ahead. Just take notes and look back!

This was one of the best classes I've ever taken. There was weekly discussion post, but they were not graded harshly if you followed the directions correctly. Class wasn't mandatory besides the days we presented our paper. Towards the end he assigned a lot of extra credit. Some were a short paper and others were easy like writing this rating.

Professor Batiste offers his students many opportunities to higher their grade with extra credit assignments towards the end of the course.
