Thayne is an awesome teacher. This young guy does everything very fast and gives you lots of time to study and memorize on your own. A&P requires doing lots of studying at home and in school! Thayne give out extra credit and if you need help just ask him!

Thayne is a really great teacher. Exams can be brutal but if you keep up with the reading and memorization, you should be fine. Wish that my schedule worked out to take 242 from him but c'est la vie.

Thayne is by far the best teacher i have ever had. He explains everything well and cares about all of his students. If you have a chance take him for ANP you will be very happy.

Thayne was pretty much one of the coolest teachers I have ever had at SFCC. I took 241 and 242 with him and learned A LOT. He explains his lectures and makes sure everything is covered before tests. He is one of those professors that know exactly what they are teaching because they actually like what they are teaching.

Thayne is a great professor. He made a tough subject fun, and had a lot of great sayings and real-world comparisons to help you remember things. Plus, he's super funny and cute!

Thayne is a great dude with a good, light-hearted, teaching technique. Answers questions with courtesy. Never available in his office but will return e-mails in a flash so office hours are unnecessary. Overall A+.

Thayne is an GREAT teacher. Definitely one of the best teachers for anatomy, as he explains things very thoroughly and is very approachable. I would DEFINITELY take him again, no questions asked. I enjoy going to class for his humor, and because he has a unique and easy to follow teaching technique. AWESOME TEACHER, MAKE SURE YOU TAKE HIM.

Lacy is an awesome instructor. He actually explains things in a way that is easy to understand and has a good sense of hummor. You can see he actually cares about his students. After completing 241 I took 242 with him (during summer quarter) and rocked it. Definitely recommend 241 and 242 with him!

Knowledgeable, humorous, approachable. Toughest class I've ever taken but got an 'A' by busting my butt. He rushes through lots of powerpoint slides which I'm not a fan of, but makes up for it by giving students the opportunity for extra credit.

Hopelessly in love with this teacher

This is a TOUGH class. You need to put in ALOT of time(especially in 241) use Blevins and Brady's online resources and open lab time to study! Thayne is a nice and funny guy. He tries to make things memorable through humor(it usually works) tests are tough and the same for all bio241,242 classes(standardized) but Thayne will offer extra credit!

This class was tough but the expectations were very clear and Lacy is really willing to help if you're struggling. There are three tutors that are there every day including weekends and some holidays, so if you're really struggling definitely utilize them and other online resources that are given (watch the labs on YouTube when studying anatomy!)

Mr. Lacy is an extremely intelligent teacher who knows his stuff when it comes to Anatomy and Physiology. He genuinely cares about his student's education and well being, and is ALWAYS more than willing to help if needed. He also gives extra credit assignments, just to help keep your scores up. This teacher is AWESOME! Highly recommend him!!!

Tough class, he's an ok instructor. Tests are kind of long and hard but if you put in a lot if hours, it is easy to pads his class. Nor the best not the worst.

I really enjoyed taking his class. Lectures are entertaining and he gives lots of opportunity for E.C. The only bad is he can rush through labs and then leave the class early so if you have a question he won't be in the lab even during the scheduled class time. Great guy and is friendly, helpful when asked.

I am taking this class for the second time, and this time with Professor Lacy. With my past professor, I had a horrible grade, however this time around taking it with Thayne I have an A! Funny guy, super helpful, and GIVES PLENTY OF EXTRA CREDIT. This guy wants you to succeed, as long as you're willing to put in the hours of work A&P demands.

Great teacher, genuinely cares about his students. It's my understanding that A&P courses are challenging & many students end up retaking them. Took his summer course and passed with a high grade & am about to end on a great grade for the 2nd course. Wouldn't have done so without his teaching style. Standardized curriculum means shared lectures.

I took Gary Blevins for A&P 1 and finished with a 3.0. Blevins is extremely knowledgable, but his teaching style was a little slow for me. Took Lacy for A&P 2 and got a 3.8. I liked his pace and was able to understand the material more clearly. I really liked his class. Both instructors are good-just depends on what teaching style you prefer.

Thayne is a wonderful teacher. He makes boring lectures fun and easy to learn. There is so much material to learn in such little time, so he tries to get through as quickly as possible so you have more time to learn. Repetition is vital and the key to success in this class!

This guy really puts the work into his classes and has great lectures and labs. A&P is extremely challenging, but he made it really fun and enjoyable. I would recommend him for the A&P series, and would also tell you to go to his weekend study labs.

I loved Thayne's A&P1 class! A&P is hard material, but he works to make it as easy to understand and follow as possible. He provides tons of analogies during lectures to help really ingrain the material. He's hilarious and his tests are all multiple choice. Opportunities for extra credit each test.

Thayne is a great teacher. He is funny, respectful and explains things really well. I took 241 with a different teacher and wish I would have taken it originally with Thayne. The students all love him and he's always there to answer questions if you have any. A&P 242 is a HARD class, but Thayne makes it bearable.

Easiest A&P class I took was with Mr. Lacy. He doesn't require attendance and I missed at least 1 or 2 days every week and still passed. Took it with Blevins last year and he was way overrated. Lacy was a breeze to get through.

Thayne is an incredible professor. He is good at what he does. He lectures very clearly and in an organized manner, and will explain the material multiple ways and use real world examples that make this class a little easier. However, if you skip class and dont apply yourself and study very very hard, dont expect a good grade.

Mr Lacy is a great prof! His lectures are sometimes funny and he presents everything in a very clear way. The material covered in lecture is always important, especially if it comes up more than once!

Thayne makes this class which is normally viewed as very challenging and a lot of work and makes it very understandable, lectures quickly but clearly and into easily understood segments. Every test he gives you 25 points extra credit that is "homework" and in addition to that there are at least 10 bonus questions per exam. A breeze of a class.

He is very laid back and a great person - not the best teacher. He uses sources from an old professor, which is great. But everything was based on hours and hours of lectures with very little hands on experience. It was tough to know your level of understanding until you do or dont pass each exam. He offers extra credit each unit as a buffer.

Best anatomy teacher I have ever had. Not an easy class and you have to study to do well but he makes it easy to learn and the lectures are fun and enjoyable.

Thayne is awesome! I had to retake the class but opted to search schools and teachers after a massive struggle. Grades are even across the board. Tests dont weigh more than homework. Hes always available to answer questions, although sometimes I wish he gave more specific answers than just a general response. Taking him again for A&P2 (BIO242).

Thayne is a legend. He makes learning fun and is a blast to have as a professor. If you take notes and study, you will do well on the exams. As long as you put in the work, you will enjoy and succeed in his class.

10/10 would take his class again! Lectures were very clear and he was extremely helpful during and after class. If you pay attention to his lectures and participate, then you'll know exactly what's going to be on the test. A&P is a very hard subject, but Thayne makes it a lot easier to understand. Only one homework assignment + one test per unit.

Fantastic professor, easily my favorite one in my time at SFCC. Funny lectures, with a dry sense of humor. Always happy to answer questions. These classes are graded by two tests (one lab, one lecture) and a unit homework for each of four units (12 total). Study hard and you'll do well, and have fun!

Thayne was a very nice and personable teacher. He is a teacher that loves his students and really wants to see you succeed! I liked him, though I personally would look for a teacher that doesn't use kid analogies like "chunky junk." And I would look for a straight forward teacher, bc I like traditional teaching styles.

If you want A&P to go smoothly, and EASILY 4.0 it, take Thayne. Or. you can slave away for hours for a C elsewhere. Some professors lift their ego with "weeding them out" with unnecessarily hard curriculum. Not him. Online exams in your own home were the best. Unsure of the comments about his flirtatiousness with other students, not my experience

WOW!! First day and I love it!!!only 4 homework and 4 open book tests for the whole quarter. He is also very charming in a playful way. Take the class!

I love this man, haha. He's ridiculously funny, has a great attitude, and has a remarkable ability to connect with the younger generation. He's understanding, empathetic, and also incredibly intelligent. University level stuff. He knows anatomy is hard so he does a lot to make sure you're not overwhelmed. 100000/100000

The best and knowledgeable

This class is challenging but awesome! To succeed, dedicate hours to studying, watch all online lectures, color the recommended book, review the lecture and lab slides, and complete the daily study guide. The exams are tough, so prepare well and take good notes in lab and lectures. With effort, you'll succeed and you'll even see the cadaver.

Hes Great! Once you figure out the set up of the class then you will be just fine. Make sure to stay on a schedule and keep up with the daily study guide and you will be just fine. All tests are online on canvas and are pretty easy if you study. He has a sense of humor and explains things simple and doesn't overcomplicate things.

Easiest A&P in the spokane area. I took A&P at SCC and EWU. Attendance not required. Exams are all online and open notes.Easy 4.0 grade for tuition money.

This professor was amazing. He was very kind and understanding. He is very knowledgeable and pretty much can look at any part of the body and tell you what it is and its function. His tests can be difficult because they talk about very specific parts of the human body and sometimes seeing the angle can be difficult. If you work hard you can succeed

I took A&P1 and now im taking A&P2 professor lacy is an amazing person and he will make sure that you get the information past on to you he has his way of teaching Get ready to read and repeat

I've taken him for both A&P classes. I appreciate tests being online and only 4 test/labs/homework assignments a term. Lectures are easy to keep up with, but I feel like once I get onto the lab/tests, there are questions I've never seen before. Would recommend especially with a tough class like this.

For someone who took this course also at another university Lacy made this course so doable and easy. I took this course during the summer and every exam was online and there was no final. He isn't like other snobby professors who make this class a "weed out" class he genuinely made it very doable and easy for students. Loved this course by him.

Easiest Anatomy class in all of Spokane. Only 4 open book exams all quarter and attendance not required. Easy A. I am not sure if I will remember anything but at least the class was easy. Due to my work shifts changing I think I attended 3 labs the whole quarter. Easy going guy too.
