Schachter is extremely engaging. His wit is razor-sharp; his lectures, unparalleled. His class is a joy to sit, laugh, and learn through.

He was funny and very knowledgeable. The tests were hard when you were taking them but then he curved questions that everyone got wrong. He would go crazy an try to scare you every once in a while about how difficult it is to survive in the corporate world but overall I thought he was an amazing teacher.

Made an otherwise boring class interesting. Always available to talk to and help students in any way possible. Sometimes I felt that he imposed too many of his personal opinions on us (i.e. marry rich) and he definitely plays favorites, but he's a nice guy and fair overall. Always offers a chance to improve your grade with additional assignments.

Best teacher i've ever had. You will learn so much from him. Don't listen to the other reviews, they have no idea what they are talking about. Shachter is the greatest.

I just want to say that he reminds me of Booger from "Revenge of the Nerds"! Hah! Anyway, he's a very kind professor, very funny, keeps the lectures lively. My only complaints are he never used the text book that I spent my money on, he always walked in late, and he never stuck to his original plans for projects and such.

Scared me first day into thinking class would be super hard.. it wasn't! A lot of material presented in a boring book but made class interesting by telling funny stories and watching commercials. Made a 730am class bareable, really nice guy! Wiling to help and be flexible

Such an amazing professor! He is always making the whole class laugh, while still getting his points across. It was a pleasure to go to class for once! He is very straightfoward with what's on the tests: read the text book and you'll be fine.

This guy is awesome and sooooo funny. never gives HW and his tests are cake if you study the night before. TAKEE this class. Always lets out early and time flys if hes not talking about walmart.

I like this class and look forward to it. We are allowed to web surf or work on homework the entire class period, while the professor lectures. I still pay attention. I appreciate him trusting us. He brings in relevant and cutting edge guest speakers. He makes class content a possible career reality for his students.

This guy is AWESOME! Not only does he make Marketing more interesting to learn about, he is a fun guy to listen to.( Even when he goes off on his crazy rants.) If you want to experience one of those memorable professors in college, this is your guy.

if you HAVE to take a morning class take his because he'll wake you up and put you in a good mood. He really knows what he is talking about, and if you dont understand he'll go over it. Homework is no existant and tests are decent. Just study! He knows his stuff!

He can be intimidating at first because he tries to be sarcastic and funny towards students but he is actually a really cool guy. His classes are pretty easy. There is no homework. 4 tests, all on the textbook. They are not too hard. He goes over things if you don't understand. Even gives points back on test questions to heighten your grade.

Prof. Schachter is in my opinion a great professor, he offered clear and constructive criticism, very detailed instructions for his assignments and his midterm and final were take home which was a huge PLUS. He is an amusing character, sarcastic but I appreciate it there aren't many individuals who can incorporate satire and humor very well.

He is awesome. He tried to scare you at the beginning but he will win you over with his dry sense of humor. He takes no b.s. and gives you USEFUL information for the real-world. No textbook and very few assignments with one group project at the end. No tests. HIGHLY recommended.

Took him over the summer and I can deff say he the only professor that kept my attention at FIT. He is super funny/sarcastic so expect some ridiculous yet hilarious remarks. Overall his class consists of a couple of assignments, midterm, final, final essay. Sounds like a lot but its really not. Also there was no textbook. Take him!!

If you're serious about writing ads, take this professor. He is brusque, sardonic and often obnoxious but has lots of real world anecdotes and stories about the industry. Expectations are clearly stated and assignments are straightforward. His outbursts and ridiculous assertions will make you laugh.

This man is amazing. A boatload of information inside and outside of the course. Frank and straightforward, yet has a great energy in the classroom that gets everyone discussing. Kind of casual, but totally on his game. Keep the ideas fresh, and remember to make your campaign unoffensive to any groups! Just a tip :)

Best professor I have had at FIT hands down. So helpful. Had him my first year as an FMM major and his class was so good that I am now switching to AMC for my bachelors next year. He wants you to do well and will help however possible. Even set aside time to meet with me to talk about changing majors. He's great!

Absolutely amazing professor. He really helps you understand the material through a real world lens. Definitely take his class if you have the chance. He doesn't teach "by the book" very on the fly but he KNOWS his stuff.

He's hilarious and makes the class light-hearted and funny. But he definitely knows his stuff. He doesn't teach from a textbook, which is good because it's more of a creative type of class. He gives a midterm and final, both of which you have to write ads for but it's fun if you're interested. There's also a group project.

This class was a hard class, but he is a very good teacher. He uses the Textbook on the projector as a guide, & then speaks of the material from a real world prospective which was very helpful. The final was not his, but SUPER hard so be sure to really study for that. He is very helpful & funny, kind of a smart ass but still definitely recommend :)

He is such a great teacher, i had him at 9am and i actually looked foward to his class! He teaches the info so well, and in a way that you can understand. He also doesn't waste your time with stuff you'll never use in Advertising. He's also so funny and cool. over all an awesome teacher!

Ted is a realist. He has a blunt personality which I really appreciated. He will go over something until the entire class understands. His explanations made more sense than other professor who taught similar classes vocab wise (AC171, AC111, AC114).Prepares you well for chapter quizzes. No midterm. Puts things into perspective. Mentor material.

One of my favorite professors at FIT and his lectures are very interesting. He gives 10 question quizzes on each chapter and they are very straight forward from his lectures and textbook. Would consider taking a class with him again in the future. He really cares about his students.

I love Teddy! He may come off cocky but if anything it just added to the appeal of the class and made him more interesting and entertaining to listen to. He gave great real life examples to back up the material and helped casuse everything to really stick in your mind purely with his lectures. Learned so much and would take again in a heartbeat.

Class was straight to the point. He gives 10 quizzes and a final. Quizzes are very easy as there are only 10 questions. Lectures length can vary depending on how long or difficult the chapter is. It is possible to get a A, you just have to pass the quizzes. Oh, he can tend is be sarcastic and is very candor.

Prof Schatchter is AWESOME. He likes to seem tough as a nail, he will try to convince you to drop his class during the first two weeks insisting that he is awfully tough but, he was one of the best professors I've ever had. A true inspiration and motivator, take him if you actually intend on taking your life and career seriously.

He has good thoughts about marketing and great experience is much more than just study content but we do have chapter quizzes every week, it's not hard but you need to read the book you'll be fine! Professor Schachter is super sarcastic and cynical, but if you need help he is understanding and there for you. If you take good notes you don't need to read the book. He gives a 10 question quiz almost every week, but it's not a big deal. He claims the final is really hard, but it's actually not much different than the quizzes.

He gives a 10q quiz almost every week so its important that you show up for class and pay attention to what he has to say because you will be tested on it. Short lectures, gets straight to the point, no homework. I recommend sharing a textbook with someone.

I love Professor Schachter. While he is very sarcastic and hilarious, he has amazing industry experience and tells you the real deal about working at an Advertising agency. Learned so much from that, which is what I look for in a prof. He gives a 10 Q quiz almost every week from the book, so make sure you read the chapter. No homework either.

My attitude toward this professor completely changed after a few classes. At first he seemed to be too sarcastic and talk too much irrelevant stuff. But it turns out that hes actually very caring, smart and knowledgeable. He explains the key points for test very clearly. He lets us leave early. No group project or reports. I learned a lot about the material taught but also about the city and life in general. Prof Schachter often gets distracted and is a busy person, but you can tell he cares about his students. He's quite pessimistic but unlike any other professor I've had at FIT.

I retook professor Schachter for the second time in my freshman year at FIT and I honestly don't regret that decision a bit. If you don't get offended easily his lectures are incredible. No midterm, only a final but there are 8 quizzes (easy if you study) but overall v inspirational and easy to understand, definitely take him if you get the chance!

Professor Schachter started out the semester by attempting to use scare tactics to encourage weaker students worried about getting bad grades to drop. But soon into the semester, it was revealed that he is actually a very nice, understanding, and personable guy who really wishes nothing but success for all... P.S. He LOVES Kale, Brunch & Hipsters

If you have the opportunity to take him, TAKE HIM! Had him for advertising and promotion. He's such a chill and understanding teacher. He always ended class at least an hour early. Hardly any homework. Weekly quizzes, but you can google the questions and find Quizlets on some of them. He is so smart and makes you really think.

Great class he tells you a lot about the business which is useful, he also grades a little tough sometimes with the term project we had, but he just wants us to do well and know what were gonna be doing in the real world. Very useful, great feedback.

Probably one of the best professors I had this semester. He is very qualified in what he teaches and gives excellent advice. However he is very sarcastic and brutally honest. The only work in the class are quizzes either every week or every other week, so if you dont do good then you will most likely fail. Quizzes are easy if you have the textbook

Im signing up for classes now and I'm sure I am going to take him again and figured I may as well write a review while I'm at it because he deserves it. he is one of those professors that is just straight forward and good. No tricks, just teaching and learning.

Condescending as hell, will ask the class questions only to berate ppl for their answers. THAT BEING SAID - he's great. I appreciated the non-traditional teaching format, and found I could ask him questions about the industry without the usual academic "fussiness". Sometimes annoying (personal opinion) but he genuinely cares about what he teaches.

Such a great professor, I looked forward to his class. He provided lots of real world advice and lectures were very interesting. He does give homework but it is not excessive. I enjoyed the class :)

He sends condescending emails and does tear you apart in the comments of the grading. However, I still did well in the class. I had a question about a grade and he kindly met with me in person during office hours and was very sweet in person. I think he goes off abrasive online but prob doesn't mean it. No textbook and never watched lectures

THE BEST PROF AT THE SCHOOL as long as you put in the work! Very sarcastic so don't take that personal (if you have him online, this can easily be misinterpreted as rude). He genuinely wants to help and always will, so reach out to him if you have any questions about an assignment. He knows a lot about the field and gives great feedback.

Take this class if your taking a lot of other classes. It's an EASY A. He gave 3 discussions, 5 quizzes, and a final exam. All super easy, answers were online. Easy grader. Easy everything. Take himmmmm

He truly knows his stuff on the subject and is always there to correct you. His feedback can be harsh, but you will improve. Don't be intimidated by reviews u can do good in this class!

I get why people may be intimidated, but it's really not that bad! He gives 5 assignments throughout the semester, they get easier as you go. They take time to research, but its so doable. Always lets class out early, and you can do other hw the entire time. He is very kind, especially if you make the effort to ask questions through email.
