Let me tell all of you out there...you will never forget this teacher. He is so funny and so smart...he really knows his stuff. Best part of all is that he is sooo easy. (I received an A with no problem.)

He is truely a good teacher... following the stuff he teaches is sooo simple you cannot not wanna go to his class. He's very funny and his ethusiasim is remarkable. He actually thrives off off of making his class fun and easy for students.

Greatest man to ever walk the halls of BCC. His name is fitting because he probably knows about as much as the real Solomon did. I took Soc. of the Fam. with him and had to take him again. I liked him so much I would sit in on other peoples classes.

if you take good notes you will do well everything on the test he has said at one point he is hilarious and a lot of fun his grading isnt unfair he just expects you to listen and remember what he talks about we dont have text books so its all on you and your nots-he is funny and knows his stuff!

awesome teahcer. i had him first for criminal justice and i had to take him again. he makes his classes fun.. knows everything about anything. doesnt use textbooks... just take notes and u will be fine in class. highly reccomended

Of all professors I've ever had, he has been the most enjoyable! He's very knowledgeable, and makes you want to visit all the places he's been, he has a passion for what he does. He may curse a lot, but you never take it personally. No books, no assignments, just don't miss class and take notes!

Innovative teaching, you only need to show up to class and listen. His humor and knowdlege of all subjects is wasted on young students looking to get a passing grade with out doing any work. I found him to be the most interesting and enjoyable professor to have at BCC. His class was never boring

I had his class at 8 & would wake up just for it. He is a very smart professor whose been around the world and back and has some great stories and comedy. I suggest going out of your way to take him. SHOW UP EVERDAY AND TAKE GOOD NOTES, EASY A-B. Ur whole grade is based on tests. No book either.

Good man. I did find his language offensive though, but you're going to have to accept it. It's amazing this guy lived all over the world (you can see pictures of other places he visited in the cafeteria). Extremely knowledgable, you'll learn stuff that can be applied to other humanities courses

I have to say that this professor is one of a kind. He is like a walking encyclopedia and you will learn a lot from him. If you're looking for an interesting class, I will definitely recommend him. Two thumbs up!

Have to take antropology? this is the guy to take. I have studied in other countries and places and so far this is the best proffesor I've ever had. This guy knowledge is amaizing plus, he's funny as hell. oh!, and if u have the chance don't forget to see his BS bag.

Great guy. Hilarious and extremely entertaining. Take his class if you can, but write down what he wants you to write down for the tests. He is very specific about it. I loved all of his classes.

Very cool guy. Even though there's more curse involved than anything else but the dude knows what he's doing in class. He's an easy professor. There's no need to buy a book he only makes u takes notes. All the notes u get from him are going to be in the next test.

He's awesome! You just have to write down the notes that he wants you to specifically write and the tests are exactly what you write on your notes. But study ALL the notes. It's not much. He's hilarious. Knows so many things cuz he's been all around the world. Amazing Professor.

AWESOME. Don't listen to the haters. Even slackers in my class loved him. Yes he's fun, and hilarious, and curses but he also teaches really well. Had him at 930, was never bored. Everything on test is directly from notes. NOT HARD. One night of studying, can get you 100. Drops lowest grade if you do better on other tests. No book, save $. AWESOME!

I'm in his honors Anthropology class right now, & I absolutely LOVE it! He's definitely one of the best professors I've ever had. He's a hilarious guy, extraordinarily intelligent, & always manages to make class fun & interesting for everyone. I cannot possibly stress enough just how cool this guy is. Prof. Solomon is great!!! Though he gave me a C, and that sucks, he is a great professor. If nothing else, he is quite entertaining and retains your interest and attention. I took anthropology because it was the only thing left, but it turned out to be very interesting. I would definitely recommend him.

I took both Sociology AND Cultural Anthropology with Solomon. (2 Separate Semesters) You will learn more in 1 class with him than you will any other class. If you laugh at his many jokes and become a friend, he will remember your name and even help you out a little more. Tests are NOT EASY! Talk in class for better grade!

Very Simple--Show Up, Pay Attention, TAKE NOTES(all info is done from lecture, NO TEXT), study notes, then you'll do fine on the tests...if you don't attend class, you will fail b/c you wont have the notes...he makes the info very interesting--great cool guy, EXTREMELY FUNNY, loved his class, truly enjoyed--JUST SHOW UP

VERY GOOD TEACHER I had him for ANT 101 and I had a blast and I learned a lot too. His methods are a bit off the beaten path but they work! Just go to every class and you will PASS!

I had him for cult ant. and I wouldn't mind not have taken that class at all. He talks the whole.... semester and then hits you with a test based on rediculous cartoons that he draws on the board. He's a goat.

i had him this past semester and absolutely loved him. He has a lot of stories, but they just make the class that much more interesting.If you like skipping class, then you will fail the class. If you do go to class, listen, and take notes when he tells you, then you will do fine. SOOOO funny, such a great teacher! i would def take him again!!!!!!

Anyone who can not get an A in any of his classes must be missing brain cells...he is the most forward and interesting professor I have ever had...you will learn a lot more in his class that is relevant to your life than you will ever learn from a text book... not only best classes ever, but best experiences ever!

This guy is the man. He will help you out when ever you need it. His lectures are interesting and you have to try to fail the class. He tells you what you write down for the test. If you listen to him and do not study hard you are going to get a C the worst. Study a little and you will get an A.

Professor Solomon is easily one of the best professors I've ever had. Not only is he hilarious, he's also brilliant and an amazing instructor. His tests can be pretty hard, but as long as you show up every day and take notes, you can get an A or B very easily. Attendance isn't mandatory, but don't expect to pass if you skip class every day!

So Prof. Solomon has to be one of the most influential professors I've had thus far. His humor is a bit rude for some people, but you just have to realize that he's just joking. Simply show up and take down what he tells you to. That's your test. Absolutely hilarious professor and knows a ton of things. You'll be involved in class whether you like it or not. Tests can be a little tough, but an A is definitely possible, and you definitely should pass with decent notes. You MUST attend or get the notes or you WON'T pass.

Despite my ratings, this was probably one of the best classes I've ever taken. He's beyond fascinating, an awesome lecturer, and his tests are fair and fairly easy. Also, he doesn't use a book so you must attend every class, but you get to save about a hundred bucks. All in all, highly recommended.

Cool guy. Knows more or less everything about everything. If you take his class, you will learn a lot. No textbook, so attendance is required if you want a decent grade. Tests are somewhat difficult (partially due to vagueness), but he will help you out grade-wise if you participate in class. Also: expect to be locked out if late to class.

I really enjoyed his class, but have mixed feelings about him. He is a great professor in terms of the content he presents and the experiences he shares, but the concept itself can be overwhelming at times. And I also agree with the below reviewer that his tests are difficult to decipher due to vagueness.

Not only is Solomon the best professor/teacher I've ever had, but the most intelligent and wisest man I have ever met. He made me hungry for an education and sparked a flame in me to travel the world and excel in life. Taking his class has truly made a difference in my life. He is a really nice and smart man. His tests (which there are only 3) are hard and there is no text book so you really have to study your own notes. I took an 8am class and he HATES it when people are late. If you miss a class, make sure someone has the notes for you otherwise you could seriously fail the test.

Professor Solomon is honestly the best professor at Bergen. The class is fairly simple. Just STUDY. He provides all the information that you will need to pass the tests. His passion for the subject as well as everything he speaks of is evident and it really made going to class enjoyable. He is knowledgeable and an overall great professor.

Professor Solomon is by far the best teacher at this school. I had him for cultural anthropology and it was my favorite class last semester because of him. You learn a lot in the subject , he's such an interesting person to listen to with all of the countries he's been to. Attendance and participation is mandatory though. You won't mind, trust me.

I graduated back in 2001 from BCC. This professor has left a lifelong impression on me. This man is brilliant.

This professor is absolutely hilarious and his class was most interesting course I've taken. He will literally tell you what to write in your notes, but you do have to study them to pass. His teaching style is anything but ordinary and that's what makes him so incredible.

There is no textbook for this course, and he does not take attendance. This does not mean be absent as many times as you like unless you plan on catching the notes from a classmate because you won't pass his tests without them. He is super funny and has a lot to offer from his life experiences. I would totally take him again.

I absolutely love love love this professor!!! I had the best experience in his lectures. He is so knowledgeable and interesting, he travelled 90 countries and speaks several languages. I never once was bored in his class. His tests are not bad at all just make sure to take a lot of notes!!!

If you choose not to show up for class, you will not pass because he does not use textbooks. You need to be in class to listen to his lectures and take notes even though he does not take attendance, which you should be doing in the first place if youre paying money for a class. Pay attention and youll do great. He's an amazing professor.

This guy's old, but he's great. I've had him for two semesters. He tells you what EXACTLY is on the tests. No homework, but you need to STUDY for the tests. I can see why people think the tests are difficult, but they're not - you just need to PAY ATTENTION in class. Participation is important. Some of his lectures have changed my life, seriously.

this class isn't an easy A. you have to work it. his tests aren't as hard as people are making them out to be... he literally dictates the notes you should write which are all on the test. just show up, pay attention, and study. if you can't handle that, then please reevaluate college. his lectures are amazing, and there's never any homework.

Professor Solomon is excellent! If you like when old stories of the past come to life this is your class. Not only does he give no homework but as long as you are respectful and not tardy, he will tell you all the notes you need for the test. I would write down what he says and he goes slow. Bergen is my second university and Solomon is my favorite professor and quite possibly the most interesting man I have ever came across. He has done everything, he's gone everywhere and has incredible stories that make you want to live life as well as he has. This class is not hard. He tells you everything you need to know. Take this professor.

Wisest man ive ever met! His personality shines through the roof. He makes the class exciting and makes everyone participate. He is your textbook, no textbook needed. However, he does not play with the cell phone business. I recommend anyone who wants to learn more about society and this world to take him!

He is 88 years old. Wisest man I ever spoke to. strict NO PHONE policy. I didn't want to use my phone. Tests are multiple choice and comes word for word from the notes he tells you to write down. I highly recommend taking him. Best professor I ever had.

I'm naming my firstborn after him, but he's not for everybody. Not recommended for: ALP students, people who don't like to participate, visual learners, people offended by foul language, and people with a "meh" attitude to school. Professor Solomon is a fabulous professor. He appears gruff, but really is a very nice man who wants his students to do well. Actively particiate in the lectures and you will do well. If you go to class, takes notes, and then study those notes there is no reason you won't do well!
