Average professor. Very strict, make sure you are on time and always attending!

I didn't have any problems with Woodard. She didn't seem to be grading us too harshly. In fact, I deserved an F on a paper and somehow squeaked by with an A. As long as you pay attention in class, get involved and do the homework, you'll be all set.

She's nice...her class is challenging...but if you seriously need a question go talk to her privately and she'll work around your schedule.

She is a very hard grader, but is always willing to help her students. However, make sure you go to class, be on time, do your work, and you will learn alot. I worked hard for my 2 B's an proud of them.

Great teacher, inspires students to think creatively and not just "truck through it". Worklead was a breeze, but you do have to watch the syllabus to see when something is due.

she is not the easiest teacher in the world but if you understand and comply to what she expects from you then you will be fine. you HAVE to keep up to date with the syllabus. i do not recommend her to those who want to breeze through this course. she takes the work seriously.

I am currently taking her class, and she really isnt that bad... She grades strictly but as long as you do what she wants you should be ok. Definetely check your syllabus... She basically teaches like a college professor rather than a 13th grade teacher!

I changed my major to journalism after taking Mrs. Woodard's course. She's a God-send. Loves to read and helps good writers become great writers.

This teacher truely understands that students are there to get in and out of the class. I took this over summer and she made it enjoyable to go to class. Read the 1 page essays and particpate and she will be more than happy to help you, if you need it. I am gonna take her comp 2 class

Professor Woodard is an excellent instructor. She grades fairly. If you have an ego problem and want grades for nothing, this is not the class for you. She is helpful and friendly. Yes, you must refer to the syllabus, but after all this is college, not daycare. If you can't open your notebook and find out what is due, go work at Micky Dee's.

shes a really good teacher if you go to class and listen. You write alot but they are easy papers, the research paper at the end is really important. Shes really funny and enjoyable.

Strict, but fair. All the assignments were presented and explained clearly, although sometimes class discussions were lacking in substance. Papers aren't necessarily easy, but professor Woodard will have you writing correctly.

She's a very difficult professor. I was 1st in her class all semester, but it was definitely the most tiring class I've ever taken. She's very passionate about English, though, and you'll DEFINITELY learn the subject well. That's probably why she gets so worked up all the time...

Prof. Woodard is very passionate about english if you read her syllabus you'll pass he class. I hate english and I was a horrible writer but her being all worked up about english actually made the class enjoyable i took her for comp1 and i plan on taking her for comp 2.

SHE'S super tough, does not give chances. it is what it is and that's what she wants, she rarely gives A's on the essay's and other class works.

It's a tough class because she's an extremely hard grader. There were four papers, one being a group paper. There weren't many tests or quizzes but when their is you have to write a short essay about a story read from the book. I got a C on every paper and test because she grades so harshly. Otherwise she's nice and tries to be helpful.

Mrs. Woodard is such a goooooooodddd teacher to be honest i dont know why people disagree but she taught me how to properly format an essay, and because of how tough of a grader she is when I got into my ENC1102 class I had some of the best papers in the class and I give credit to Mrs. Woodard for that. soo definitely take her class

Yes, Prof. Woodard is tough. But she is crystal clear when it comes to everything. Take risks with your writing in her class. When given the opportunity, write about things you normally would not. I love prof. Woodard. But if you want to take her class, you need to know a few things first. Right off the bat, she does not like apostrophies in your papers. Your rough drafts can look like a car accident. But your final drafts MUST be fluid, neat, and clean in every way. And the subject matter of your papers must be outside the box creative.

Trust me when I say she is a tough prof. The best piece of advice I can give if you plan to take her is, think what everyone else might write, then write something different. No prof. wants to read the same humdrum papers over and over. Make your papers stand out from the rest. That will help you tremendously. Give her a reason to be proud of you.

She's Tough! She gives a lot of tough love when she grades papers. But, if you can take what she dishes out and really improve, your grade will sky-rocket. Anyone who says Prof. Woodard isn't clear about what she wants isn't listening. She is passionate to say the least. There is a moderate amount of work & txt book use in this class. So be ready to read, write, & participate in class discussions. Her class isn't a cake walk and she is a tough grader. But overall, her class is not bad. I Passed B+

Picked up early on, that she enjoys reading things that are different. So, if you plan on taking her, plan to write things that are a little outside the box. She really likes reading stuff like that. Her comments on my papers spoke to her enjoyment in reading them. Get creative and progress in depth with each of your papers and you will do great.

Shew! Prof. Woodard is good. A strict grader though. But she is clear about what she wants. If you pay attention in her class and participate once in a while, you should pass no problem. Just be creative and put genuine effort into your work and you should end up with a passing grade. Like most everyone else says, I agree, she is strict/tough.

Prof. T is great. I see lots of mixed reviews on her, My opinion, she's great. She grades tough & writes a lot of feedback on papers. Just be ready to improve, as the goal is to see less and less of that feedback on your papers. She allows students to be creative. So it's simple, use each opportunity to be creative. The more the better. Take her!
