She is an awesome teacher. She explains things thoroughly and makes the class interesting and fun. This class is definitely an easy A, of course only if you put effort into it. I highly reccomend her. You only do one speech for the semester which is great for the peole with public speaking phobia.

Professor Albury is a really nice teacher. Right at the start of the semester, she will let you know what is expected of you. There are no makeups, so don't miss any of the tests. I took this SPC102 virtually. The overall class was easy. It was mostly readnig and reading and reading the text book. A lot of reading or you will never pass the tests and quizzes. There were like two papers. And the final is to turn in one five minute speech recorded with video. She has no mercy for late assignments, turn it in or you fail.

Very down to earth and love to talk with her students about varies things in life and some how she made a way to related with the class work. She get striaght to the point about whatever point she is trying to get across to someone. Her class work is fair. You show up to class, do your Gordon Rule essay's and the final project and u pass the class.

Very self explanatory... there's two essays but fairly easy because they are based on your experiences (no research) I would recommend this class if you hate public speaking... this was an online class and i hate public speaking but did good not great.. the speech has to be recorded on tape or cd and sent to her as your final.

good class for those who dont like public speaking like me.. just record yourself on tape and sent it to her,, pick any approved topic.. i got a C considering i read str8 from the paper, couldnt memorize.

She's really funny and makes the class a comfortable setting to be in, especially when having to make the final (and only) speech. She's a stickler for grammar and probably cares more for that than the content of your work. Her lectures consist of powerpoint presentations straight out of the book so it's only needed during class activities.

I earned an "A" in this class and found it very interesting. She is pretty smart and interesting to listen to. Those of who are talking trash and saying nasty things are just pissed because you EARNED a bad grade. Show up for class and do your work and can almost NOT fail.

Online course. The class was fine, got an A. Must have textbook. Tests/exams are easy if you study the material. Only 1 speech is required! Overall a very easy class. Prof. Albury gives feedback too which is nice. Writing assignments are easy too, only 250 words for each of 4 assignments. So easy and interesting I wrote almost 1000 each.

She was absent for half the semester and she would notify us two hours before class via our student e-mail. I don't know about you but I dont check my student e-mail 1-2 hours before class. So it was a waste of a drive. And she has ridiculous excuses. Take the class for the easy "A" and if you don't want to learn anything.

Great professor, easy A. All you have to do in class is three 250 word essays (simple), two take home exams (very simple) and three speeches (fun and simple, take only a few minutes). One speech will be about a partner you're paired up with, the other will be on a section of a chapter, and the last is on whatever you like. She's very nice.

Taking her online class. She is very easy, just read the chapters, understand them and take the quiz. has 3 essays 300 words each. one speech due on youtube, and like 9 quizzes. verry easy, she dropped our 3 lowest quiz grades! if u don't do the essays or the speech you automatically fail. its so easy though, no stress at all!

I took her class on virtual college, as long as you do the work, communicate with her about any problems you will pass. She gives you the syllabus the first day of class with you calendar and you can get to work. She makes things very clear, we did have some issues with some of the quizes but as long as you communicate you are good. take her !!

Class consists of a weekly quiz. Quiz has 4 questions based on videos you watch and then another 16 on the book. Mandatory 3 essays of 300 words each. 1 five min speech. Have to do all to pass. Speech grade is strict. No extra credit. No lower grade cuts. You have to do the assignments on time she doesn't give breaks. No Midterm or Final.

She is very clear at the beginning of the class. The 3 essays and the 5 min. speech are required to pass the class. If you miss doing them she will fail you. The class is easy. Take the Quiz as many times as you want. She's not fussy grading the essays but don't miss a deadline because she will not let you make it up. Easy A if you follow the rules

I took the class onlinde and please do not pay attention to the comments below!!! We did have an unexpected proctored midterm but it was worth only 7% of the class and she provided to extra credits worth 25% each. I got a 60% on the midterm and still finished with class with an A. There are 3 essays and 1 final speech. Take her!!!!

I don't know what's up with these other reviews but Professor Albury is excellent! I took her online class and although there were many assignments, they were all open since the day 1 so I was able to get ahead. The tests and quizzes are easy if you have the book, but even then its common sense. She also has a ton of extra credit! Highly recommend

I took her last semester , she is the most helpful and understanding teacher you'll ever come across. She's naturally funny, and her lectures are really good, it makes time fly by. You'll never wanna miss class. The assignments and tests are simple. Make sure you have the book and you'll be set. She only makes you do one major speech for a final.

Since speech isn't a class that you NEED in your major, but you have to do, it is an easy class. The professor doesn't teach. She is there to explain to you what you have to do. If you can take online classes mixed, it would be better. Sweet person, kind, funny. I still have problems to pronounce some words in English, but I had a good grade.

Professor Theresa Albury is very laid back. Wicked cool style! A jokester. There were situations during the semester in which she had to miss many classes, however the course is an easy "A". From the first moment Prof. Albury entered the classroom, you could tell she loves teaching. Very knowledgeable in the humanities, communications and the like. she is fun to talk to with a great sense of humor. Explains every aspect of the course in detail. For an online class, it was easy, but there's a lot of homework in the form of 14 quizzes, 10 discussions, essays, midterm no final, and a final mandatory speech. The class was just tedious, maybe because it is a requirement, but Prof. Albury seems to be a sweet person and a very helpful teacher, I won't take it again, but I do recommend it.

This class is an extremely easy class, if you're looking for a breezy class to take this is the class to take. She give a discussion and a quiz every week or so but they are super easy. One proctored midterm. For the Final it's a recorded video of you giving an informative speech to an audience of three or more. Uploading it and sending it to her.

I really liked this professor, even though technically never met her. The material online was easy to understand and read. I recommend her, she is a great professor. We actually have to get to know our other classmates and interact with them through posts and responses.

At the beginning of the semester it was all very confusing and she does take long to reply, BUT the class was the easiest class I've taken so far. Lots of mini quizzes and exams which are all common sense. Midterm doesn't count much, so just do the assignments which are very simple. Would take again since it was so easy.

SPC1024 is honestly cake, with Albury Theresa. I took her for Summer Session 3, Intro to Speech Communication, at Broward College. Most of the work we did was online. There are 3 essays. The last essay is a speech which you present to the class. The class is not a hard class. I recommend everyone take this. Best decision you'll make in college. :D

Great professor. The class is more than easy, honestly super easy. shes funny, her projects are fun and interesting. You feel very comfortable with everybody, You wont leave the class without learning a fun fact! I honestly dont know how in the world does she even have a bad review, shes awesome! Took this class online. She takes off point for every little thing so make sure your on point with everything. It was a lot of work because it was online but she opens the work on the first day of class so you can work ahead.

Took this online and a great idea. Lots of quizzes but all open book and can take it as many times as possible until you get that 100%. Do the full length paragraph LIKE SHE TELLS YOU TOO and all your discussions will get 100%. 2 papers, not that long and a midterm which was not hard if you review the chapters. Final speech only 5 min long.

Took this class online. She makes it clear that there are no exceptions for late work. 2 mandatory essays and a speech if you don't do them or turn them in on its due date, you fail the class. I had to finish a paper at Disney last minute but thankfully did well on it. Elaborate on discussions to receive full points, as she tends to be strict.

Took her at FIU. She's great, will definitely work with you as long as you communicate with her and show up to class. Easy assignments. 10/10 recommend

This class is super easy. There is an assignment once per week and all the discussions are all based on the lessons and literally rewriting it into your own words. Take this class. However, do make your paragraphs pretty long she looks towards that a lot when writing the discussions.

This profesor isnt the best for you , if youre trying to learn Speech, but if you just need the credits and want an easy A. I would recommend her. Her lectures are 10 minutes and then youre free to go. She doesnt care about teaching but definitely will help you to pass the class with an A. Every Friday quiz and discussion, 3 APA essays.
