Love her.
Made us buy 112$ text and replaced half of the chapters with chapters from another text for an additional 35$ at th copy centre. She reads her powerpoint the entire lecture, takes sentances from the text, + gets confused when you ask q's.
I'm sure she's a great person and I wanted to like her...but she was not very approachable at times. She is always right! Her grading does not reflect how much you have learned. Sometimes, I just had no idea how to please her. I think she is too rigid.

horrible.how can anyone love her?she makes mistakes on her ppt slides and blames them on her 'liquid lunches'.she cant answer a question for her life.and she asks for too much and gives nothing.find another teacher.
she is a good teacher, likes discussions. Very approachable and nice to talk to.
She conveys the material very well and in an interesting way, but she's not very approachable and can be intimidating.
The comment about how she reads her slides is dead on. SOOOO Borring! SHe can't answer questions, the essays we have to write are boring too, but simple.
Very boring and not interested in the subject (apperently she is much better in Social Psyc course). Just reads over from overheads. Mid-term was decent (but she was a tough marker), final was brutal (but you could do well). Has an attitude problem.
her exams killed me. she is a very hard marker on the essay questions.
She conveyed the material very well. A little repetitive. Her exams require some thinking but are fair. I recommend her!
NOT APPROACHABLE.major attitude.multiple personalities!exams are very easy but for the paper, she seems to grade randomly!no clue what she's commenting on and criticizes EVERYTHING!its never good enough.i got a B-.fair mark but deserved better!she doesn't teach well at all.no attendance required!
I liked her at first, but as i got to know her she became a B*%&$, no organization or concept of the matrial outside of the DIRECT test. i'd avoid her if possible

She is a horrible teacher. And who said she was hot?? are you nuts? She is not. Her exams are hard, you must know everything in the book and what she talks about. She does not give enough time. Everyone was still writing with 5 mins left. She is not useful and should not be teaching. Avoid her.
Great class, good teacher. Good sense of humour, explains well, does a good review before exams. Gives alot of examples while she explains which arre very helpful in understanding.I would take her again.
SHe is an awesome teacher.IT was one of those rare class in which you dont look at the class because she uses interesting examples and she is always really clear when she answers questions. SHe is extremely nice. The only thing, her exams are really hard.
She is one of the worst teachers in the Psych. department. She has attitude, and little respect for students. Her grading is unfair, and yet she won't reconsider any grade she has given you. She is definitely a $%@^#!
Sports Psychology taken in summer here! OMG, she's so hot she gives me a hard-on! She's phenomenal! She's pretty, HILARIOUS, sexy, tall, interesting class with a alot of personal experience examples of her own. her exams are tough, but she gave the whole class 2 bonus marks on our midterm! Alot of homework and reading, but ****ing worth the effort!
311 Grossly disorganzied, offered negligeable assistance in regards to difficulties experienced with T.A., assumed no responsibility for that part of the class. Easily the worst class I've ever had to suffer. 346 Better organzied. In general, a poor attitude, little respect for students, grading is arbitrary. Not recommended for any class.

Avoid this woman at all costs! Run in the opposite direction! She is the most unproffesional prof I`ve ever had the misery of meeting. She belittles her students in front of the class, allows for absolutely know discussion that doesn`t support her point of view and gets downright nasty and mean. The most disrespectful person you can find.
great teacher! she was extremely helpful, friendly and knew what she was talking about. Her exams weren't even that hard and she'll tell you exactly what to study for. I'd definitely take her classes again for another psyc course if available.

she's a good lecturer, but HARD MARKER! multiple choice and essay Qs are killer. it would probably be more fun to hang out with her in a bar than in a classroom...
This prof was interesting in class...her lectures are funny but her marking of tests is very hard! Take the class but you have to know the material up and down...
Kinda boring class, lots of readings, and hard exams...especially the final....But a fairly good teacher
Very boring teacher and seems bored to teach.Makes some mean comments about people answers or questions. Her controls are very hard and very tricky. If she doesn't like you, she will be on your back forever! I don't recommend her.
She seems very arogant and it as if she would rather be anywhere but teaching students.
She is entertaining and kind of funny. I liked her and thought she was very clear and helpful!
She is a terrible teacher. The class average was very low. Her tests are not a valide measure of the course material. She has only published 1 article in the past 5 years! I do not recommend her. She has forever ruined sports psychology for me.
the last rater sounds like a complete moron...who cares if she has published or not...she can teach
Not a very good teacher. She's not helpfull. She writes awful tests. And she's snobby. What it comes down to is that she doesn't take her job seriously. If possible, avoid her.
she is snobby...but if you talk to her face to face she doesnt avoid you or anything...she does answer questions...she is plain though...she can teach but nothing special...the exam was exactly what was in the textbook...no surprise...
This prof is a total disaster! I don't even know how she got her Ph.D. (probably on some sketchy website). She barely knows what she's talking about, and keeps contradicting herself. Will ask you useless statistics on exams. She does try to be somewhat nice, but it doesn't feel genuine. I wouldn't want to be her TA.
I LOVEEEEEEEEE this teacher! Bianco u are amazing, u made psych even more fun for me. good movies, group activities, good notes and easy exams if u study. i'd love to take another class with her.
Good teacher. Very easygoing. Laughs in class..sometimes by herself hehe. Exam very straight forward. (I dont know what all those other people are talking about but she is def not snobby!)
Amazing teacher. She is so nice and so patient. She really likes her stuff and cares about what we have to say. I can't understand all the bad comments about her. She's great!
this teacher is the WORST. research methods is already a terrible class but she made it atrocious! she reads off her slides, barely knew the material, doesn't kno proper APA formatting, and thinks shes doing us a "favor" by posting any class material on moodle. on top of everything shes arrogant. save yourself a headache and steer clear.
Really good class. She knows her stuff which makes class time more interesting. She's really easy to talk to and very helpfull. The only thing that I didn't like was that we had to do a group project that required a lot of work but was only worth 20%.
Really boring class, but she made it decently interesting. I just get the impression that she doesn't really know much beyond what she gets from the book, since she reads off her slides. Makes jokes, likes to laugh a lot, but she's a hard marker on the essays. Watch out for the multiple choice, she can try to trick you. I would take her again.
Don't be fooled, she's bad! "Whoever is a teacher through and through takes all things seriously only in relation to his students-even himself." THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO BIANCO! She will avoid your emails/calls/meeting you like the plague. Her slides are super short summaries yet if you focus on studying the book you'll do badly on exams. Good luck!
she is clear but I find she gets bored of herself when she is teaching. Her multiple choice are tricky and she reads her slides
Great teacher, smart and funny. Class can get boring because all she does is reads off her slides. She pretty much lays out every possible bit of info that could be on the exams. The exams were not bad at all as long as you followed her info. No tricks, either you know your stuff or don't. Would take her again.
She tries really hard to make 310, an otherwise boring class, somewhat interesting. She was great before our final, answering everyone's questions which she really didn't have to do. Really a nice person who loves to teach
Dr. Bianco is an overall very understanding and comprehensible woman. She may not be the most approachable prof, but she does provide enough explanation in her lectures to give you a good basis of understanding. Her exams are hard and tricky, even if you study a lot they might be challenging.. Overall one of the better prof's for psyc.
She tries really hard to make a boring subject like research methods somewhat enjoyable. She was super helpful though, she was there right before the exam answering everyone's' questions which I thought was really nice of her.
She is a good teacher, her classes are easy to follow. She makes cute jokes from time to time, she seems to be friendly and tries to give points in the exam on questions that most people didn't get at all and explains everything. But she doesn't make it fun and there is very little interaction in the class, it's mostly her explaining the concepts.
She is awsome, an EASY A. Go to class, study the slides.
She's great! Research Methods I is phenomenally boring, but she makes it easy. Extremely clear & organized slides and lectures. Her exams are extremely demanding but she tells you exactly what to study (I didn't use the textbook at all).
Amazing teacher! Although the material was extremely boring she made the class easy and as interesting as possible. I loved her, very easy exams.
Good teacher, not a very interesting class in general but she manages to keep the classes attention (for the most part) I'm glad I had her for RM, but I wouldn't take her again. A class with more interest deserves a better teacher.
DO NOT take this class! If you do....do not buy the textbook as every quiz, midterm & exam question is from her slides. The work load is enormous and she is not a kind professor. I would NEVER recommend any of her classes to any students. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
DO NOT TAKE HER...SHE SEEMS NICE BUT SHE ISNT....SHE IS A HARD MARKER... NEVER KNOW WHAT IS CORRECT WITH HER JOURNAL...I THOUGHT I DID A GREAT JOB AND ENDED UP WITH A DISSAP. GRADE...SHE IS ALL OVER THE PLACE AND HER CLASS IS WAY TO BORING!!!!DO NOT TAKE HER!DO NOT BUY THE BOOK!!AVOID AT ALL COSTS IF U ARE LOOKING FOR AN A+...SHE DOESNT GIVE THEM!
Most difficult exams you will ever have in your life. She purposely makes them impossible so that everyone does poorly. Is very difficult to approach. Very rude. Oh! And there's a group project that is horrible to get done. STAY AWAY FROM HER.
She can teach basic material but she doesn't have deep knowledge of the subject and her POVs are quite outdated, she doesn't bring up what new research has found Not very mentally stimulating She assumes we know exactly what she wants in her vague questions and can become quite rude. Her speaking abilities are good, she has a good pace and is clear
I enjoyed having Dr. Bianco for class PSYC 325. She adds lots of interesting anectdotes, videos, and her slides are very clear. Also I thought her exams were very fair, all you need to do is memorize the material and you're good to go. I would definitly recommend her.
In class she is ok, class might seem easy at first, and when you study slides and book, but when you take the test, her MC questions are very confusing and makes you feel like you know nothing. Stats from book and slides don't always correspond, and she never gives back tests. U'r GPA lowers with her!
do not take her... she is boring and the exams are very confusing
Tricky m-c questions. Refuses to answer certain general questions, refuses to answer questions between last class and midterm/final. Interesting lady... Not sure if she's actually nice or just trying to be. Jokes are sometimes funny, sometimes a kinda insulting. Not the end of the world if you get her, but better if you don't. Work for your A.
This professor is testing research methods. Her exam are very tricky more than anything, its tests your ability to handle trick questions under pressure and not the course material. Course is boring, so i understand mixing up the exam, but that is not fair. test me on what I know!!!
The class was boring and she was an odd kind of teacher. She does know what she is teaching, but her exams can be tough. The midterm was fair but the final is very long. Take her if you must, bit given the chance, take a different prof!
She seems boring at the beginning, but if you listen, you will find Research Methods interesting with her. Her PowerPoints are good, and she knows her material. However, she doesn't always answer questions by email. But the exams are fair and her grading also. I would take her again if I could!
She's strict but she's super clear in her explanations & is very helpful when you dont understand something. I didnt use the book because her lectures & slides has all the material I needed but if you want further explanations use the book. The exams are fair but very long. The conferences are very demanding require a lot of time and work.
The overall rate of 3.2 is really not representative of who she is. I find her really helpful and kind. Exams are only from the material she covers in class, which is great. Her exams are not so hard, and she is pretty available before them. She doesn't answer questions by emails, but if you come and see her, she is really clear and helpful!
She is one of the best profs Ive had in Concordia. She's clear, knows the material and makes the class extremely interesting! Attend the lectures, take notes, and study and you will do well :)One of the best classes Ive taken! I was actually excited to go to class which does not usually happen.. Take her!
The material in social psychology is very interesting. However, I found Dr. Bianco to be rather boring. Also, I found her hard to approach. At the end of the semester she gave us a paper to write, which didn't have clear instructions. She never replied to any e-mails I sent her, but her exams were ok. She leans a lot towards long answer questions.
She's a nice lady. Doesn't respond to emails. Knows the material very well. Watch out for the final, she likes to use extremely tricky and confusing questions. I had a B+ going into the final, and passed the class with a C-. Lame...
Great teacher! Dr. Bianco is a kinf person and interesting. She knows her material and she is pretty much available to answer your questions. Her exams are long but fair. Take her if you have the chance!
Theresa is a very nice person, shes funny, and loves what she teaches (Sports Psych). her exams are really tricky because she puts "none of the above" for almost all MC so you need to study for a good week to do well and feel good about the exam. I will never take her again though unless I have no choice.
Dr Bianco is a nice teacher who knows her material well and presents it in a clear way. Problem is that she hardly ever answers her emails, so approach her in class or her office. Also, DO NOT believe her when she says she doesn't ask tricky questions! The material itself isn't hard, but many people complained that her exam questions are hard.
Bianco sets her students up to FAIL. Her exams do NOT test your knowledge or understanding of the course. Take another Prof. if possible.
I took this class because I am an athlete and thought it would be interesting to learn about sports psychology … WRONG. She is beyond boring and what could've been an interesting class especially for someone very interested in sports turned out to be dreadful.
She's a nice person but not a great teacher. The questions on the midterm were so unclear, she had to clarify at least 3 times the short essay question because no one understood what she meant. Uses tons of statistics, says she's not gonna ask for specific details, only trends but obviously asked for very specific stats.... AVOID
If you study, her exams are a bit tricky but fair. If you didn't study much or go to class then don't expect to do well, but if you go to class, take notes, and study, and know your stuff you can do very well. I really enjoyed her class. She makes it interesting, does not just read her slides all class. I recommend her if you're not a slacker.
dull, dull, dull. this course shouldn't be in the psychology department at all- maybe in exercise science.
I really enjoyed this class. I feel like it was a fresh breeze b/c a lot of psyc courses are repetitive. Dr. Bianco knows her stuff well & the material is very different & interesting. Her exams are extremely detailed but she tells you prior to a test what to know & not know. Study hard & ATTEND CLASS & take notes - you'll do well & learn a lot!
With an average teacher, this class could easily become terrible: research methods are a somewhat dry and hard subject to teach. Hopefully, Dr. Bianco is a passionate, inspirational and generous teacher who really cares about her students. She really makes efforts to give fun and interesting lectures.
I regret taken this class, well I had to but with this teacher I mean. Shes like a robot and you just feel like she giving her class because she have to. Dont take this teacher, she is going to make you drop your GPA
Threatens to deduct 5% of your grade if you "bother" her via email. Just a horrible professor.
She is a tough grader. No matter how good your paper or project is she will grade it way too strictly. The worst part is that she will not even give back your grades, so you simply see your final mark and wonder how can you have gotten such a low grade for such a straight-forward class. She makes this class harder than it should be.
She knows her material, but her exams are tough. You wont get back your final paper, only your final grade. READ THE BOOK!!
Tests are heavily based on experiments and applied theories. She will give you an example of a person in a situation and ask what theory this best describes.
Exams are quite long so you need to know the material well. Fair grades. Enjoyed doing the group project!
She knows her stuff but classes tend to be dull, doesn't seem like she enjoys teaching. There is one class project which was interesting. Other than that, I found her exams to be unreasonably complicated, her multiple choice is very ambiguous.
Her lectures are clear and interesting. Don't skip class and take good notes. She gives out practice material and did a review for the final which was great. She doesn't post the grades online though
Good teacher overall. class is pretty boring but she manages to make a 2 hour class bearable. midterm and final were not easy and you need to know your stuff. questions are asked in a way that may confuse you. i would take her again
She is a nice teacher that focuses a lot on experiments. Read and learn every experiments she talks about because you'll need them. if you know your material and you did your group project with passion you'll be fine. Final is death though since it was 80MC and a whole booklet to write (a chapter to resume). Good luck!
She back up every concept with a real life relevant example , the lectures if you pay attention are very interesting . The least that can be said is that she knows the material . Maybe shes not the type of prof that likes receiving last minute email from students but the fact that she give clear explanations makes up for that
Theresa isn't for everyone. Is this the easiest A+ of your undergrad? No. But it's a very fair class, she does her best to make it interesting, very knowledgeable. Tests aren't bad. I studied for the midterm the day before the exam and got the highest grade... If you're willing to read the textbook, study & go to class, she's a great choice!
Not a huge fan of this teacher. She seems like a nice person but her lectures are extremely boring as she is very monotone and doesn't expand very much on the topics presented. However, I did like the fact that she let us choose where the last 10% of our final grade went.
Tests were mostly lecture and slide based. One group project that was kind of fun. She asks about 80 mc and one longer question for test. If i could go back, prolly wouldnt have bought the book and just read at library. shes not the most animated but does try to make it interesting. She takes attendance every class. She did a review class for final
I had her for health & I REALLY enjoyed the content that was presented. There was 1 midterm a group project, class participation and a final and I honestly would say don't waste your time buying the book. study her lectures ONLY because thats her exams (she has a lot of none/all the above, a&b etc.) If knew this b4 would have gotten a better grade
The Honours program is merging all seminar classes into one under Dr. Bianco and all I can say it was an amazing experience. It's a stressful time for honours students but this class is a way to teach you to translate science to the public. The TAs were great, the exercises were fun and you get to know your classmates well. A nice change of pace!
extremely difficult for no reason other than for the sake of it. the exams consisted of over 90 multiple choice and 5 long answers to be done in 1h30 minutes. the questions asked were phrased in ways to confuse you and second guess yourself rather than to test your understanding on the subject. goodluck getting an email back. she rarely answers
The class is very boring, and she doesn't put any effort to change it. Her exams are wordy, confusing, and very difficult to understand, all for no reason more than making people fail. The TA is in charge of the research paper and he is very unreliable, grades the assignments harshly and late all the time. I regret not dropping this when I could.
Not sure if she does not care or cant manage an online learning environment or has understaffed TAs, but this class has been the most disorganized class i've ever taken. Lectures and slides never up in time, dates and deadlines are wrong and are only corrected once pointed out by students. Necessary feedback/corrections always VERY late (> a month)
She's the undergrad psych program director, are you kidding? This is the most disorganized class EVER. We have to remember her to do her job all the time, the exams are awful and wordy, tons of assignments, quizzes, exercises, research project... jezzz! Non-stop work for nothing. TA don't show up to classes, grades a month after, no feedback...
Honestly, Dr. Bianco's 310 class really wasn't as bad as some reviews say. Yes, it was disorganized but Dr. Bianco was always more than happy to provide help and explanations. She was always reachable and made this boring class as bearable as possible. Her lectures are clear (albeit slow) and the assignments were not very difficult. Good overall!
Research Methods online w/ Bianco & T.A Jesse Lacasse Winter 2021. Bianco was unorganized & gave boring monotone lectures. Ridiculous amount of weekly assignments/tests. Unclear grading criteria. Only 1 TA so work is handed back late w/ no feedback. Jesse is unaccommodating, unsympathetic and harsh marker. Taught myself whole course w/ textbook.
Awful class, very disorganized teacher, worst TA ever. It seems Dr. Bianco is more worried about people "cheating" than doing her job. You have to fend for yourself with a textbook and recorded lectures (some from other teachers). Quizzes & Exercises are good and clear, but Exams are wordy, confusing, and hard to understand. The worst class ever.
Theresa Bianco did not do her job as a Prof. She does not answer ANY emails. She doesn't give feedback or explanations for anything emailed to her. How are we supposed to learn from our mistakes? She said she was going to hold an exam review during spring break and she FORGOT. Her behaviour was simply unacceptable. I would avoid her.
I understand she's busy but she fails to respond to emails. With a global pandemic communication is hard enough as it is and I felt completely alone the entirety of the semester. She seems approachable and sweet during zoom class but ignores emails and when she does email back she is rude. Also, her instructions don't align with what the TA wants.
The material is very interesting and lectures are clear, but there is no feedback on assignments. The group project due dates were not included on the outline and were added "as we go". Final grades were posted without any feedback on the group project items, final exam or other assignments, so good luck guessing how you did throughout the course.
She knows her material well and follows the textbook very closely. Her assignments really allow better comprehension of the material and are pretty easy. Exams are straightforward.
The material for this class was not difficult, tests on healthcare, stress, pain, etc., however her exams are ridiculous for material that is considered common knowledge at best. Very unresponsive, group project instructions took forever to be posted. She is a tough grader and seems to make it this way so she can keep this "easy" psyc class going.
Although I got the impression she isn't the most organized teacher, Dr. Bianco is a caring and compassionate prof. Her qualitative research methods course is by no means easy. The beauty of it is that she made it engaging and interactive by using contemporary, meaningful topics of research to enlighten us in genres and techniques of qual research.
RUN AWAY! The most disorganized prof I have seen in my life, she does not give any deadline and gives the bare minimum of instructions for assignments that she even does not understand. Her exams are hell, for an easy course she expects us to answer to many multiple choice questions and long essays in 75 minutes and grades them harshly. SAVE UR GPA
As other reviews mention, she does NOT answer emails at all, nor does she answer our general questions on the online Moodle platform. Her slides are detailed and the material itself is interesting and logical. We had one midterm, one final, an individual assignment & a long group project - we only got one grade back, and the semester is over.
While she is nice, she is disorganized, her slides have incorrect information, and she doesn't answer emails. In-class participation is nice, and if you attend she might increase your grade if you're in-between grades. Exams are based on slides only, very memorization heavy. She is a tough grader on the group project too (worth 25% of your grade).
RUN!! She is extremely unorganized and does not answer emails at aaaaaall. Takes ages to give grades back and does not care,
Professor Bianco's class has its challenges, but with the right study strategies like using unstuck ai, you can do well. Lectures are clear, but grading and feedback can be inconsistent. Worth the effort if you stay engaged.
She is very kind, but her lectures are loaded and her exams are extremely difficult. It requires you to know the material in great detail. The main reason I am giving such a review is that she does not answer her emails AT ALL. She was also not present during our final exam to help us and answer questions. She is not present for her students at all
Very interesting material with a lot of it being intuitive. Makes exams long, hard, and complicated MCQ for the fun of it. Really poor approach to teaching/grading. All her MCQ are composed of "only A+B, none of the above, all of the above". Really sad approach to assessing student's knowledge particularly coming from a psychology teaching
Lectures are monotone -- half the class dozes off at some point. Exams are heavily reliant on MCQ with "All/None of the Above" "A and B", etc. Does not give feedback on exams or on assignments -- simply passes a sheet with grades around class. Takes attendance even though it's not graded. However, pretty easy class with "common knowledge" topics.
Was super excited to take this class and beyond disappointed. Super long exams with tricky mcq, course work is extremely heavy and we barely get any grades back till after the final exam. does not respond to ANY emails I have never seen a teacher care so little about her students. monotone lecture and condescending attitude at times.
For health psych, you do not need to buy the textbook. Just study the slides. Other than that, she's okay, but not amazing. Classes can be boring. The final is in one week and we've received only 1 grade (there are still 5 assignments left ungraded).
DO NOT TAKE HER. The course material was sooooooo boring and easy I mean really obvious common knowledge stuff nothing was difficult to understand, also a lot of statistics that are OUTDATED (i'm talking 10 plus years). THE EXAMS HOWEVER were awful and based on the specific things stats/ideas in class not always facts.LOTS OF TRICK QUESTIONS.
