I had her for comp religions. She is an awesome teacher. She takes time whether it be before, during or after class to make sure that you understand the material that is taught. Class is a friendly, stress free environment in which to learn about different religions. Field trips were optional for extra credit. Will recommend to any student!

I have to agree. Theresa is a great teacher. I had her for comparative religions an I would suggest her to anyone. I might take logic or philosophy just for fun in the fall and try to get her.

She is an excellent teacher. Never boring and very patient. Ethics is not an easy subject, but she encourages q's and thoroughly answers them. Interesting class discussions, too! I would highly recommend Prof. Catalano to anyone who wants to learn and have some fun, too. I would consider her for any other classes in this field that I have to take.

She is the perfect professor to select for Philosophy.You WILL learn about all the different "Philosophers" and their theories in a laid back atmosphere.She has a down to earth personality and her honesty shows when she lectures.Class discussions have been fun and thought- provoking. I see and think a little differently now about morality.

Great professor that is really down to earth. Has a passion for teaching. Logic class was quite easy, and she drops the lowest grade! Pretty hard to fail her class in my opinion. I actually thought of taking another class with her if it wasn't for a scheduling conflict. Would recommend her to anybody for any of the classes she teaches.

Had her for Phil of Religion. Very interesting class discussions. Open and respectful of all points of view. Class requires in-depth papers as well as scantron tests. You will have to read and will have to work. This professor keeps the subject interesting and entertaining.

Very easy A. If you love puzzles, you'll love this class. Do the disc that comes with the book (also available on the website) and you'll do fine. Don't need to buy the book, it's on the website for free. Exams are only 50% of your grade and she drops the lowest one. Most of the homework is do it and you get credit.

Simply put, The Catalano-Reinhardt is one of the greatest teachers I have ever encountered. Her laugh is infectious and her smile lights up the room! I love The Catalano-Reinhardt! Logic would have been so boring if not for The Catalano-Reinhardt's strange but effective teaching method. I became a "logic player." A GREAT LOGIC PLAYER! Woo-hoo! Yes!

The set up she uses for the class is nothing short of inspiring. Usually it sucks when teachers actually make you actually think, but she poses questions that are actually relevant and interesting. I play angry birds during other classes but I would actually rather pay attention in her class.

Goofy but sweet lady and she really wants her students to succeed. The only thing that would annoy me is that her grammar and spelling are both terrible in her ppt notes, surprising because she used to be an English teacher. It would sometimes be difficult to understand what she was trying to say.

Great instructor and very helpful

This class is a breeze if you just attend, read the material, do the pass/fail HW (how well you do on it doesn't matter), and do the graded HW in class (she'll check it for you before you turn it in). It would be impossible to fail and is very easy to get an A if you put in a little effort. Use the CD! Take her...you won't regret it. Very fun class

In her class now and she is an amazing professor! You are able to download her power points on angel. If you study that you have no reason to fail your tests. She has pass/fail homework assignments, if you do it you pass. She gives you time to do the graded homework in class with your classmates. Just make sure your never tardy or absent.

She was a great professor- Really funny, interesting, and pretty outrageous overall! She designed the class so that it was basically impossible to do poorly- if you didn't receive at least a B in the class then it's entirely your fault. This professor is amazing! She's quirky and enthusiastic, very happy I took her and though the class was very quick (6 wks) I feel like I learned so much! I know this class has helped improve my writing, reasoning and debating skills.

She loves philosophy and you can tell by her enthusiasm to teach it. The class is not easy, but her teaching style makes the class so much easier. I would read the chapter and use the CD for the class, but not understand the lessons until she explained them. She is really a GREAT teacher!

for my program, i had to take 2 philosophy classes.i just took phil 2200 and this professor blew me away.. i barely studied, just did the homework and payed attention in class and got an A. taking her again in the summer for another philosophy class! recommend her to anyone who needs to take philosophy and wants an easy A!

Wacky teacher, but a great one! USE THE CD THAT IS PROVIDED WITH THE BOOK!!!!! Seriously, it will save your life! I was lost during class discussions & the CD made it all clear to me. It's super easy to use, only takes 15-20 minutes to get through each section, & it's the difference between a good grade and a bad one!!

Great professor, very fun and interactive with students! Not necessarily the easiest class but I learned to understand everything more through my own studying and the CD everyone recommends. The CD definitely helps clear things up but I tended not to use it towards the end. Ask her questions, do the work and take it seriously and you'll do fine.

A tad boring since she simply reads slides for her lectures, but she expands on what she reads with some clarification and examples. Spends time after class talking with students as necessary. Most the questions on the tests are pulled straight from the book; daily homework is checked only for effort so remembering these answers tends to help

She really likes to have fun with this class. Pretty simple procedure. Read chapter,do hw, review, and then a test. Just study for the tests, and you'll do fine. theres six of them, she drops the lowest test grade.

I've taken three classes by Mrs. Catalano and she is an awesome teacher. I had her for my professional ethics class and my intro to ethics class as well. She really makes you think outside the box and there are no wrong answers for her as long as you give backing to your point. She is one of the best professors I've ever had at MCC.

THE BEST TEACHER EVER! she is so fun and makes philosophy very interesting. We watched a lot movies to better understand and they aren't lame teacher movies, they're actually ones that would be in the movie theatre. This is my second class with her and i wish i could take her all throughout college. she's the best. &is always there for help.

Nice woman, easy class, but one of the most unorganized professors I've ever had. Hands back papers weeks to months later so you aren't really up to date on how you're doing in the class. Takes forever to post grades on Angel. You have an assigned reading for each class period and she gives a 5 question quiz on it, simple but readings are boring.

Overall a pretty easy class. The lectures were thought provoking. The only test was the final, grades are based on the various essays given throughout the course and the daily quizzes based on the readings. Greatly encouraged participation in the class, would take another class taught by her again

She's actually a really cool professor. Came into class on the first day a little scared of her, but now I think she's very helpful and her class is entertaining. Her Philosophy class is pretty easy and a good class to take.

She is an amazing teacher, she wants you to learn and do good in her class! Homework is easy, as long as you actually try on the homework you can't get it wrong. She also has graded homework that she is willing to check for you if you stay and do it. I thought this class was going to be hard but she made it easy to understand the material.

Professor Catalano-Reinhardt was a good professor, she does move a little too quick, takes forever to put grades in, and tends to get off topic. She has a pass or fail point of view on the homework so you don't have to have the right answers just have to do it. She will help you with everything you need.

I love Professor Reinhardt. She is a bit quirky and eccentric but her personality makes the class that much more interesting. She loves to play devils's advocate when it comes to debating philosophical questions, but at the same time respects each students point of view. The class is very enjoyable and it is also easy.

Logic is a difficult class. But Professor Reinhardt makes it easier. You will pass if you do all your assignments. She offers an insane amount of extra credit. Drops your worst test. Just be ready to discuss Star Wars.

Solid choice of a professor! She's truly passionate about her field and tries to get you to think deeply during class about lots of different problems. Her grading criteria is very clear and if you follow the rubric its almost impossible to get a bad grade. Participation does matter, if you don't want to then you don't get us much from t he class

She is a solid choice of a professor, not perfect but does her job well. Yea she does get pretty off topic sometimes but its not a big deal. Philosophy/logic is not a blow off class and I think most people take it thinking it will be. It is very similar to math in a sense. Looking up YouTube videos to brush up on concepts before tests always helps

This is my first year at Macomb and she is my favorite professor by far. All of these bad ratings for her are wrong. Ms. C is a great person and literally tells you everything you need to know for the tests. Her lectures are awesome and very clear. Also gives extra credit which was great. Does whatever it takes for you to pass. Great experience!

she is a good teacher. I took her over the summer online. The work was easy and straight forward. With it being an online class the testes and quizzes are automatically graded. The essays we did she did not grade until the last week of class. . Her grading is not fast like I would like to be.

Took her class online. The work was easy and helps prepare you for the test. Lots of extra credit offered. No papers, discussions, etc., just individual stuff. She doesn't give much feedback, didn't really say much. Easy class overall

NOT A BLOWOFF. This class was from aug-oct so it was more compact. I had 35 assignments a week in this online class. The HW was easy cuz you can keep retaking to get all the points but theres on hw that she grades that you can only submit once and an exam. Its not week by week either. once you finish the weeks work you can start the next one.

Prof Catalano really is a gem. I took Phil of Religion and Intro to Phil. Shes clearly passionate about teaching and gets you to think. She brings personality to the subject and never has a boring lecture. She encourages participation but doesn't judge if you just observe. Highly recommend!

She is on of the best professors out there!! She makes you think, am I actually only looking at one side without looking at the whole picture? The only thing is that she assigns reading for chapter quizzes that are taken at the beginning of class, but they are only five questions, very short and easy. Would love to take this class again!!

Professor Theresa Catalano-Reinhardt is very easy to get along with and emails back in a quickly manner. Don't buy the textbook her notes has everything you will need. You will have lots of mini quizzes but she won't let you fail them. She does drop all your low scores. I would take her again. She lets you jump ahead for the following weeks.

Absolutely loved this professor for Philosophy. She knows her stuff & how to clearly teach it so that students are able to understand it. Class was online due to COVID which made it even easier because I had access to recorded lectures to turn back on. Easy to get a good grade with easy passing homework & extra credit for every section!

Had very clear grading criteria and was very helpful with any confusions about the content you may have. Provides many examples for comprehension and overall made me actually understand logic which I wasnt expecting. Also lots of extra credit opportunities which was very helpful! Overall great professor, wish I could have her again :)

I am taking her philosophy class online, and philosophy is quite a tough subject for me, the class itself is not bad. You just have to put in the time for it if you want to do well. Her exams are mostly based on her powerpoints and homework. If you do well on those you should do well on the exams. Shes also writes funny exam questions.

Miss C has a great heart and lives to help her students learn to "think for themselves." She constantly reminds us that is her main goal. She does grade late but is generous to boot and is open and honest about how she will go about grading and exams. She loves class discussion and in an ethics course it is so necessary for future application of it

Mrs. C is a professor who clearly puts in a conscious effort to have engaging lectures and discussions. It's true, she takes an awfully long time to grade, but she doesn't lie when she says so long as you follow the rubric, you'll do fine. Exams are also easy A's as long as you study. She may not everyone's cup of tea, but I thought she was great!

Prof C puts in a lot of effort with what she does, and she is clearly passionate about the subjects she teaches. Grading is based off of a midterm, final, and four essays based on movies we watched in class. Grading takes a while as others have said. Each essay has the opportunity for three extra credit points if they are reviewed by the RWS studio

Very sweet and caring. She wants all of her students to succeed and it shows. It is a tough class, especially if you are taking the accelerated online version. However, she always is willing to help and provides tests that are similar to what you work on for homework. Don't let the difficulty scare you and just be honest and you will excel!

Professor Reinhardt is a sweet lady. she is very personal about herself, but keeps the class entertaining. she is very flexible with assignments and tests if you tell her ahead of time. she gives you everything you need to pass the exams including a guide which has everything that will be on the text and you can find all the info on her PowerPoints

This professor is very understanding and to the point. If you follow her midterm and final review PowerPoints you will pass the exams. One negative thing about her is that she does not grade the essays until the last week of class so you do not know if you followed her requirements properly or not.

She wasn't bad. I liked her lectures and being able to participate, its more engaging and stayed on topic. She can get a bit personal sometimes, but it never bothered me. Only thing is she grades the 4 essays you do last minute so don't expect a grade until the last week. but tests are easy just follow the jeopardy questions and you'll be fine.

She is super laid back, personable, happy to answer questions. If you make the effort to understand the ethical theories talked about in class you'll do fine. Pay attention to the mid-term review material. This class is not hard but you have to have an open mind and you have to try.

This was a very fun class. Lots of interesting discussions. I could tell she really cared for the class and wanted us to succeed. Just a few papers and the last one is super fun and I don't like writing. There were reading quizzes every day, but a little read though the book is all you need. This class helped me think through a lot of my dilemmas.
