Has a easy book to follow along with the notes. Just show up for the quizzes on time every day it will really help your grade.

I had her for both Gen. Bio 1 & 2, and micro..she was great.. funny, knows her stuff and makes the complex material easy to understand!!

very good teacher! She is some what challenging but as long as you show up for class, pay attention, and follow along in her lecture book you will do fine.she is not as bad as everyone says she is :)

Ms. Fischer runs a very structured class. She moves right along with the material and very rarely gets off track with the projected course path. You will take a quiz every class which are helpful come test time because you study a little each night instead of all at the last minute. I really liked her class and she is also easy on the eyes!

Difficult course. Good, thorough teacher. Must study notes a lot to pass quizzes and tests. Some tricky questions on tests, even though she says there aren't any. Does make you feel stupid if you don't know the answer to a question. Good class though if you want to really learn the material.

I really enjoyed the subject of this class. Ms. Fischer made the lectures interesting and I thought her tests were relatively easy. However, if you are looking for a friendly, helpful, and approachable professor, look elsewhere.

Dont buy book, in the rare instance u need it, just use the one at ASC. Study notes, practice quiz. There is a daily quiz. Ok, I have NO idea why some students "dislike" her, but I like her. She knows her stuff, is clear, quizzes REALLY help (it helps stuff stick to your brain!) and sometimes funny. She is a bit intimidating, but she is nice. Study hard, time and know your stuff. These are what is important to pass the class. I'm taking her next sem for Micro. :)

If you work(study) hard, you will pass her class. No easy A given. She is clear with her notes and expectations. Daily quizes really do help you. She does call people out in class for questions, so you better be paying attention. I would take her again if she was teaching my needed classes.

Very passionate about biology, gets a little frustrated that every student doesn't share her zest for it but she is a good teacher. All information on quizzes/tests is covered in the lecture notes so if you pay attention and study there is no reason why you can't pass-I had a baby in the middle of the semester and still made a B. Quizzes count!!

She is hard but you can definitely get an A if you work really hard and study for her quizzes. not only did i do well on the tests, i actually still remember most of the material. quizzes are very important- they will affect your grade dramatically!!

Ok seriously I never thought I was going to pass Micro. She is very timid at first, but If you attend class and do the objectives she gives you for all the chapters you'll get an A..I've never studied this hard before and relized it actually pays off when you get an A in the class, she gives quizzes very important! All the reviews said, "Do not take this professor," but she was the only one teaching the INTERNET option. The previous reviews were crap. She was a great professor! Power points & learning objectives straight forward & easy to understand. If u don't study then of course the class will be difficult, but if u STUDY, you'll do just fine.

She has a lot of knowledge in biology but the subject itself is very difficult. This course takes a lot of your time. If you learn better with persuasion, you need to take her. She will beat the information in your brain. Overall she is a great professor.

going into her class i was scared cuz of everything i had heard BUT shes actualy a really nice teacher, her test are straight of her notes, if u take notes and just read the sections of the book that she tought you will be fine. there are quizes everyday but it helps u cuz it makes u study as you go instead of leavin everything to the last night

Having been out of school for more than 20 yrs. she has motivated me to work hard at what I want. She is a no nonsense and if you put into it you will get out of it. She is a great teacher and with my hard work I end up with a 'B'. She makes sure that we study with a weekly quiz. She knows her stuff. If you are lazy don't take her.

I took her for Micro I. Hard. Chapter guides are extremely helpful. Awesome to review video lectures in case you missed something. Quiz every class. Tests are no joke. you gotta put in some time! Take her, you will learn. She's a science geek, but knows her stuff. She is no nonsense, all business. No cell phone mishaps in her class!

Professor Fisher is hard...really hard. She does not mess around, she know's her stuff and expects you to learn it. She is not a bad teacher....just really hard. Her quizzes are helpful, but hard and her tests...are intense. She is not bad, just very intense. Good luck.

She is hard but she will work with you to help you understand the material and if you just listen to what she says and how she advises you to study you will pass with a very good understanding of biology.

Just had her for lecture and lab. She's no joke. You really have to study and learn the stuff or else her daily quizzes will annihilate your grade. She is very clear though and answers all your questions so she's definitely helpful. Her lab class was a lot easier than the lecture. Go in, pay attention, study hard and you'll do fine.

You will have to work for your grade in Prof. Fischer's class, but you will learn! Daily quizzes motivated me to study every day, and were good preparation for tests. Study the objectives & practice questions she gives and you will have no problem. With hard work I got an A, even in a short Summer semester. Will take her for more classes!

Best science teacher I've had at IRSC. She does give a quiz every class but it helps your grade. The notes she gives you during class are very helpful along with the sample questions. Use her fill in the blank exam reviews and you will pass.

Don't believe the hype! She is really not too difficult. If you read the chapters, do the objectives, and show up on time you can easily get an A. Also to make it easier for the students classes are video taped.

I received a B+ in this class, 89.2% to be exact. I never once read the book. I only used her outlines and took notes throughout the class. And, yes, I did her practice tests. If I can get a B+ without reading the chapters a lot more people can maintain an A. College isn't supposed to be "easy". If that were the case everyone would have a degree.

She tells you exactly what is expected of you the first day of class, if you don't have an interest in learning the material that she is teaching then you should probably take another class. I took her for 3 science classes because I want to know my stuff.

My second class from Prof. Fischer. Gives chapter outlines, which makes taking notes a breeze. You have to put in the time, A&P is a lot of memorization, but she presents it in a very clear and organized way. Drops lowest unit grade. All the tools are there, if you study it's not difficult to pass with an A. Look forward to more classes from her.

This class is naturally difficult, but do-able if you manage your time well. Didn't study every day, and still made an A. Study her notes mostly; she tells you exactly what to study. Write down everything she says. Watch her video lectures, study her notes, and exams will be a breeze. Excellent lecturer, one of my most memorable courses.

She is awesome. She has a passion for what she teaches. She is hard but if you listen to her lectures anyone can pass. She is extremely helpful. She even has lectures online that you can listen to. I would take any other classes she has available.

She is an amazing teacher. She really knows Biology. I am looking forward to taking her in the upcoming semesters for 2 other courses that she teaches. She does daily quizzes, and it really helps you to learn the material. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HER.

only have 1 thing 2 say.I hated every minute of being in her class. she makes u feel less than if ur knowledge of the subject is not 'up 2 par'. Encouragement is supposedly coming from her daily quizzes but I feel that if she really cared she would look out 4 the best interests of her students not herself. Don't take her! There has 2 B a better way

Excellent professor who presents a lot of material very efficiently. Recorded lectures were a nice plus. She can be a little strict with respect to student behavior (e.g., cell phones and tardiness) but on the whole I was very happy about that--the lack of etiquette by students in other classes has been annoying and distracting.

I took her for A/P1. Very hard, very good teacher. Don't take her if you aren't going to work HARD. However, I'd like to take her for AP2. She knows how to teach.

Finally there is a teacher who makes honor to her tittle,she teaches the students. I loved her style. She is very active and motives the student to learn.And whoever came to the classroom to text and disturb, she sent them out the door, Good JOB....

Good prof. She knows her stuff WELL. Her lectures are pretty fast paced. kind of hard to keep. Test are a bit tricky, EX) multiple choice... all of the above or none of the above. Other than that, guaranteed that you will come out her class learning something.

Demanding but exceptional professor. Complete/memorize study guide to do well on tests. Daily in class quizzes and online ch. ones make you study. Don't be intimidated, she wants you to be a traditional student and is more than willing to help, but will hold you to high standards. You get what you give and if you don't give she'll know. I never learned so much in ANY other class than this. And for the record, she's not hard. You just have to put in the TIME to STUDY!! Its not really that difficult & beginning of semester is review of Bio. The only regret I have is NOT taking her for Bio. You WILL learn from her!! So don't be lazy,just study. Her quizzes are easy. You really get the grade you deserve in that class. Your amount on studying shows on quizzes & tests. Really her class is not that bad as everyone puts it. I passed with a high B that I worked hard for. I guess everyone expects an easy go instructor..

She's a tough teacher, but she knows her stuff. It's a lot of work to pass, probably easier to take the class by itself instead with 5 other classes like I did but I enjoyed her class. She can be a little intimidating but all she wants is for you to succeed. the real world wont take it easy on you so neither will she.

I learned a great deal of information taking her class but do not expect to slack off even a little. If you put in the work, your grade will show it. Her test are designed to make sure you know your information and don't dare come late or miss a class. She gives a quiz everyday and allows two misses. Professor Fischer is amazing! If you ask questions after class and follow her study guides you will do fine. No, this is NOT an easy class. She also offers her lectures online so you can listen again or in case you miss a class. Just make sure you show up and can be without a cell phone for a few hours!

Great teacher! She makes it her best effort to ensure all her students understand material by distributing an outline, study objectives, practice tests, and text book questions.THIS IS A MUST STUDY CLASS. It's very time consuming, she gives quizzes every class. I spent most days memorizing which got me an A in the class

She is HARD! but half of the work is already done for you. You print her notes and bring them to class just add a little here and there. All her lectures are on Eco360. NO surprises! She is very clear about what you need. She's tough because you will need to know the material in any medical field. Take her if you want to be ready for your future.

She knows her stuff and as long as you're willing to put in the work, you will really learn a lot. I was just accepted into the ADN nursing program and I believe I owe some of the credit to professor Fischer. She is tough but If you can't handle this class, just remember it WILL GET HARDER in the actual program

She teaches with extreme attention to detail. I would recommend keeping your class load light while taking her. You will need to devote at least 15 hrs a week studying for her class to achieve a B. Be organized and BE PREPARED, there are daily quizzes. She is an extremely negative teacher. You will never hear "good job." Try to ignore the comments.

Dr. Fisher is tough but fair. Her microclass is interesting, but you have to work for your A! Be sure to take thorough notes, as many of her questions come from her extra comments that aren't in the book. Don't skip! You have to study everynight to keep up with the daily quizes. Tests questions are given before hand, you just have to prepare well!

Excellent professor, fair, she teaches you everything you need to know and then some, her passion for microbiology is infectious!!! You have to study (study guide for all exams provided in time) and show up for class (daily quizzes). If you're lazy you wont pass, if you want help go to her office, shes like real life - tough but amazing.

I love Dr Fisher. I would take her for everything if I could. She teaches you exactly what you need to know. She gives notes and goes over everything step by step in class, with lots of pictures so you know exactly what is going on. Her tests are straight from the notes she gives. A quiz every day but I appreciate it bc it ensures u r on top of it
