She is one of the best psych teachers!!!!! Her infoo is clear, she's enthusiastic, and she really knows what she's talking about. Loved the class!

Easy and willing to work with students.

Dr. Kay is an awesome professor who cares about her students. Her exams are faily simple and the class overall is excellent. I have learned a lot more from this professor than I did from the Psych 1010 professor. Thanks Dr. Kay, you're the best!

She's a good teacher and I learned a lot, but she's very hard on grading and you really have to study for her tests. She does offer easy extra credit, however. If you're looking to learn take her class, if you're looking for easy, don't.

Dr. Kay is an awesome professor. She's a really cool and down to earth person. Even though her class was way easy, I still felt like I learned a ton.

Interesting class, used the text book a lot. She has great activities during class and is very good at lecturing.

Dr. Kay is the best! She is by far one of my favorite profs. The toolkit class is very easy, but she preps you well for research methods.

Very good teacher.Passionate about what she is teaching, attendance not required,but you miss valuable info by NOT attending lectures. Tests are some what hard, homework is done online and you're able to redo it until you get 100%, tests can be done at home and are timed at an hour or taken in testing center w/unlimited time. She'd tell us what to write exactly and then graded it differently...a little confusing!

It's a fun class to attend, but the lectures don't necessarily equate to what's on the test. She uses the textbook's tests and often doesn't cover in class what shows up on the tests. If you study the textbook you'll do much better than if you study any of the notes she gives you.

She's really funny for about a month, then her teaching style gets a little annoying. The class discussions are great. Watch out for the group presentation.

Great teacher, difficult tests & the class size is ridiculous large. It wouldn't have caused any problems if people would stop talking when she starts. Everyday she has to ask a group of people to stop talking because their talking louder than she is. Better class if smaller!

the sylabus and expectations were easy to understand. dr kay is very easy to work with and she grades most of the tests on a curve :)

I have her for an online class, and she's great! The class is organized really well. The first two tests, I didn't study very much, but still passed. The assignments are easy. You can redo them as many times as you want until you get 100%. She responds to questions in a timely manner. I haven't met her in person, but she seems really nice.

She is awesome! The class isnt too hard if you do the work and read the book somewhat. I expected it to be hard, but it ended up being a somewhat easy class that was really fun. She brings a lot into the class and I loved her style of teaching. I would highly reccomend her as a teacher and I will defidently be taking more from her.

She is a pretty good teacher overall. She is definitely thorough and is quite a talker. Try to not take her class at 7:30 like I did. This isn't a good class to be tired in. She is informative and her tests didn't seem very hard even though I kept getting B's on them. No homework aside from the reading and one project.

Loved this class, want to take another class from this professor. Very animated and fair on grade.

I personally didn't like this class so much because she teaches something next to nothing compare to her tests. Everything on the test comes from the book. It is possible to get an A but you will need the book.

It was a very interesting class. She laughs at her own jokes, she says basically a lot, she uses the book, and she gets kinda annoying after about 3 weeks. Overall she is okay. You are not required to go to class, just study the book and her slides and you'll do just as good as if you were there sleeping.

This professor was super and nice and made a big point of making sure she answered everyones questions! She was really helpful and her lectures made the concepts easy to understand. Also a great textbook easy to learn from and not boring!

I thought this class was very educational. I learned more than I ever thought I would. I really liked professor Kay because she was always willing to help with questions. She was a very fair grader and very fair on her test questions. She was animated and fun and kept class entertaining!

to order to get a desirable grade one has to attend all the classes and read the book chapters word for word in order to answer the questions right on the exam.

Kay is very repetative so it is very easy to "check out" while in class. She is very nice and is more than willing to help with questions. The tests are very indepth and you must READ READ READ the book!

Great class! Her teaching style made it really easy to learn the concepts and keep everyone interested! I enjoyed working in groups.

Very easy to understand. Talks in sort of a Monotone speech, but still okay. It isn't mandatory to attend class. If you don't make sure to read the book! Because that's the only way you'll do good on the tests. She's very nice and helpful!

She is great!! Has an awesome way of teaching and so helpful and concerned about her students. She is actually there to help you succeed in school not try and make you fail. Her tests are very well put together and she will put extra time into helping you if needed. This was one of my favorite classes!

I took Abnormal Psychology from Professor Kay online. She is a great teacher. Her literature choice was excellent and her tests are easy if you read what is required. She is very quick to respond to any questions. I would recommend this class from her, not only interesting but worth while.

The class I had with Dr. Kay was online. She was very friendly and helpful. The material was interesting, assignments were relevant, and she responded to emails promptly. I've met her in person too, and she is very nice, just a little chatty. :)

Great teacher. She is super funny in class. She will do pretty much anything to help you pass the class, as long as you are willing. I didn't use the book much. Going to class is a must, she tells you everything that you need to know for exams. Must do quizzes, they tell you everything you need to know.

Class is work at your own pace, so you don't even have to go to class! It's great. Tests are super easy and word-for-word from the book. Professor Kay is really accessible and easy to work with outside of class, as well. Really annoying lecture voice, but if you just work on your own, you don't have to deal with that!

I took this class online, so I dont know much about Prof Kay personally, but the online set up was really clear and easy to follow. Chapter quizzes are unlimited attempts and open book. There are 5 large closed book exams. (If you study, you should be ok.) She also offers oppurtunity for extra credit. Would take online classes from her again!

Professor Kay is really clear about what you need and her expectations. The class itself can be kind of boring, attendance is optional, as long as you use the text and online resources the class is pretty easy!I highly recommend Prof. Kay!

Dr. Kay is a good teacher and willing to help, but I found her obnoxious and boring sometimes. Easy class though: powerpoint lectures, two short writing assignments, four or five exams, and tons of extra credit.

Dr. Kay is AMAZING! Her lectures are very informative and fun to listen to! I loved her intro class and am very interested in taking an abnormal psych class from her as well! She is most definitely NOT arrogant and is nothing short of helpful and informative. Tests are based on text and lecture so study both!!!

I took this online. Consists mostly of reading and 5 tests throughout smstr. Dr. Kay was very helpful and answered emails quickly! She seemed to care about me even though it was online. Plan on reading a ton. This class is an easy A if you learn by reading/testing.

Attendance in this class will help you tremendously. She tells you basically everything on the test. Some questions were out there, but she gives you a nice surprise on the last test :) She responds very quickly via email if you have a question.

I have yet to take this class, yet would like to point out a possible misinterpretation of her "conceitedness and/or arrogance" with one student claiming that she doesn't hold students equal to her. Duh, you half-wit. She way more educated than you to be a psychology professor, among other things.

Professor Kay is a great Psychology teacher! She is a Dork, but I like it! You can tell that she really loves what she does and she teaches you clear enough that a twelve year old should understand it. If you want to pass her exams, however, make sure you read through the text book. She does not cover everything in class. She's very helpful though!

Kay is a great prof. for 1010 students. She is very clear on what she wants, she will right out tell you want you need to learn for the test. She constantly reminds you of due dates. You do need to supplement her lectures with the book. I also would try to make it to class.

As a registered clinician, Dr. Kay is very knowledgeable in the material, though the way she teaches comes across sarcastic and fun rather than a bunch of info. She's serious about her due dates, but is forgiving in some ways. With a little effort, you can get a good grade in her classes. If you have questions, she's quick to responding to emails.

Professor Kay is nice and very knowledgeable. Optional attendance. However, she is SUPER picky when it comes to your essays. If you are not good at writing make sure you study for the tests.

Dr. Kay is very knowledgeable and passionate about psychology. As a practicing clinician, she knows her stuff and can make all the material real-world. There are four non-comprehensive exams, two case study write-ups, and mastery quizzes for chapters. If you read the chapters and study a bit, you'll get an A. I love Dr. Kay and recommend her!

This class was easy! 4 tests and quizzes to go with each chapter used for the course. The tests were a little tricky but not bad. study guides were provided but i found them somewhat broad. You are allowed to retake quizzes until you get the score you want but only up until the due date. overall a simple class.

Dr. Kay is a great teacher! She's funny and great at explaining things. If you ask her she at times will provided Youtube videos for difficult topics. All of the resources are found online and in the textbook, and her classes are lecture based.

Professor Kay is extremely helpful. I took beginning Psychology with her. You listen to lectures, there are 5 tests, and no comprehensive exams. Just read the textbook and do the assignments, and you'll be fine. The questions on the assignments are exactly like the tests, so practice them a lot. She is a great professor.

She's nice. Lectures are a waste. Tests are tough because they're poorly written with tons of grammatical errors. TONS of extra credit! Easy final Speech. Easy A. Four exams including midtermfinal. Many open book quizzes (easy). One speech. One extra credit. Must read book intently. But the book is great, better than lectures!

Kay is nice, but she wasted too much class time answering every single question by one particular "pet" student. Tests are open book, open note, but can be a little hard due to awkward wording, with very specific questions pulled from the minutest details from class lectures. In-class writings and an easy presentation assignment round out the rest.

Good class. The grading was fair. Only 4 tests, no final and none of the tests are comprehensive, which is super nice. I didn't find the study guides very useful, but I did take the online quizzes over and over again as a study tool and did really well on every test. Overall not a ton of homework, just one reflection paper.

Dr. Kay is a great professor. Her lectures are somewhat long, but she has a great sense of humor which alleviates the negatives of the lectures. She has non-comprehensive tests, which is a positive. Also, if you have questions related to the material, your grade, or psychology in general, she is happy to answer your questions after class.

I really liked her. She was a fair grader, the in class participation was easy. Tests were tough but if you did the homework the tests were easier. Lectures are boring but all around an easy class.

There are homework quizzes before every exam (you make retake them till you get 100%)If you study the homework's well and attend class. You will get a grade. Class has 1100 points possible. Quizzes are like half of that grade. and you do a research participation due at the end of the semester. Loved her and her lectures. Would definitely recommend

I took this class online, and it was quite easy. She was excellent in answering any question quickly. The only part i hated is it would take her FOREVER to put grades in. I would take a test and it wouldnt be put into the system until 2 weeks later. I do love that we can do a missed item review to earn some missed points from the tests.

Hands down one of my favorite classes so far. & Teri is an amazing professor for the simple reason being she LOVES her job. She is very well organized, and did a terrific job making things easy to understand. If you show up to class everyday, take notes, and do the homework you will pass. I hardly spend anytime outside of class studying!

Clear and interesting lectures! Used Powerpoints and shared funny stories. You could do the HW as many times as you want. Fair grader and clear on what you need to do to get an A. She was funny and wanted me to succeed. Didn't necessarily need the book but it helped to a certain degree. Would take this class again!

Dr. Kay is great! She cares about her students doing well in her class. Overall, the class was pretty easy if you attend and do the in-class assignments. Loved taking her class. Sometimes she can have long lectures but they aren't too bad. I definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to take a Psych class.

There is one 10 hour service project and 1 paper. The tests were fairly simple, and reading was straightforward. Very well paced class. Make sure to get everything done in time or ahead of time.

Kay is a great professor! Any up-to-date textbook to be used. You have sections you must read in the books & then you have a couple homeworks on each section. However, you can take the homework tests until 100% is reached. You then have a test on each section. Class was online, I didn't meet her but she answers emails quickly if not that day.

Kay is amazing! I had a hard time showing up to class for the large majority of the semester, but I still passed with an A. All of the test questions are from the homework. I always did the homework a couple times so that the information was comprehensive to me. Really easy A, and I learned a lot.

I took this class online. I loved the clear way that this class was set set and run! If you do the reading the homework and tests are easy. I wish all online classes were just like this one!! The tests were all of the homework questions. She was kind and wanted you to succeed.

I loved this class and this prof!!! She is so kind! Her online class is so easy. As long as you read the book, and listen to the lectures, you'll be fine. She has been my favorite teacher at Weber State so far. Take her classes!!!

This was by far the best summer online class I have ever taken! Her missed item review assignments really help if you did not do great on a test. You can also do homework over and over till you have 100%. Just know that you have until the deadline for those assignments and you cannot retake them after. She was very reachable via email as well!

This is my second class from Professor Kay. I love how she organizes her classes online. They are clear cut and you can get an A if you follow and work. I love that she offers lectures online, this is a huge stumbling block to online classes. I feel like regular classes have an advantage with that. She wants you to succeed.

Professor Kay is awesome. This class is not that hard, you just need to study for the tests. I didn't really use the book that much but you do need it. She is easy to get ahold of and is willing to help.

I really liked the way she taught with her lectures although you do need to read over the material in the textbook!! Its so easy to get your desired grade. She lets you take the homework quizzes until you get 100% . And she also offers a missed item review so you can get extra points for questions missed on exams. Overall amazing class!

She's literally my favorite professor now! She's so fun, smart and caring! All the homework is on Chi Tester BUT she let's you take it as many times as you want to get 100%. Also almost all of the homework questions are on the exams. It's an easy and fun class!

I love taking her classes. I have had her twice, and this semester have two more classes from her. All assignments are online, and she gives you do overs to get 100%. She also allows for extra credit after tests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

One of my favorite classes I have taken. Her way of teaching and homework is very straight forward. You can take the homework as much as you want until you get 100%. She use really life situations in her lecture making it easy to remember what she taught. A lot of the stuff that is on the test comes from lectures.

There is 4 exams that you have to take but she gives you extra credit by fixing the answers you got wrong. there are 3 article summaries that you have to write and a final poster project. great class you learn a lot from it you can do the homework as many times as you would like until you get 100 would take her again

This class is such a great class for students to take. If you are looking to learn more about Psychology I would highly recommend this course to you. Not only was this a fun class to take but she also graded very fairly and even gave extra credit at the end of the class. It's impossible to not get an A in this class.

This was my favorite class i've ever taken and it had everything to do with this professor. Her lectures are super entertaining and she is really funny. You can tell she really cares about what she's teaching and enjoys doing it. As long as you're doing the homework, you're going to pass this class. I can't recommend this course enough.

I would share the textbook with someone in the class or not buy one. It was never used in class. The tests are easy if you go to class. I would study for the tests with the homework.

I really loved this professor and her class! The entire class is just lectures from the book material, but she makes them fun and interesting! This was a great intro class and it's pretty easy if you read the modules and do the homework.

More than any other class I have ever taken, this one was run the best. Everything that was in the class was connected to something else, and there wasn't anything that I would consider busywork. The homework was extremely similar to the test, and sometimes the questions were even word-for-word! The tests were also all multiple choice. 10/10!

Especially for an online psy1010 class, pick her! I'd met her in person and she's a cool person, but you can basically do this class however you want. You can just read the book, watch the lectures for help, or study using her infinite-retake assignments as practice tests (same test bank on exams!) Missed item reviews on exams are awesome too!

Kay is a good professor. There's a lot of work to be done in this course so don't fall behind. There are homework assignments, pre-made study guides to fill out, and five exams. Read the textbook and study to get good scores. I never watched the lectures and still got an A. Participation matters when she has you play Kahoot.

I really enjoyed Professor Kay's lectures. It would have been even better to be in person for these lectures, but the recorded was good too. I thought the content of this class was super interesting. I liked how you could retake the homework assignments as many times as needed to get the score you wanted. Professor Kay responded to emails promptly.

Lectures were very interesting. They were a lot longer -being online - than I anticipated, but I enjoyed them. The layout of the homework was nice, you had as many attempts as you wanted before they were due which was the day the exam was due. there were 5 total exams and they weren't too hard.

This class is great, and Dr. Kay is fantastic! You can also retake the homework to prepare for the quizzes! The weekly journals are really quick to complete. I would just put my voice to text on and you can fill up a page pretty quickly.

The way she was so excited to give lectures made me excited.This was such an interesting class , its not a tough class as long and you do the work! It is easier than you imagine ! I took notes to help me,also with the exams she allows you to do a missed exam item review sort of like extra credit.

I highly recommend this professor for Psych 2000, but not Psych 1010. Her Psych 2000 class is well put together and easy, but she did not put any effort into her Psych 1010 class. She does not teach anything in Psych 1010 and the tests are confusing. Totally different experience depending on what class you take from her.

Dr. Kay is an excellent professor. Her lectures were so thorough that I came out of her course with a complete understanding of the material for abnormal psychology. Make sure that you watch everything and take notes, you will do great if you do! Her lectures are top-notch!

I had this teacher first thing in the morning on Monday and she never made class boring. She also made her tests very easy and accessible. P.S. they are open note, you can do a makeup sheet for half credit on questions you missed, and they are not comprehensive. In total probably the best choice in my opinion.

She will deduct points from your papers for minor grammar errors such as a missing comma, but her exams are riddled with obvious grammar mistakes. Aside from this hypocrisy, it's a simple class. Also don't buy the textbook. I never opened mine and got an easy A.

I took her online class and it was extremely easy and self-explanatory. As long as you know when things are due and you get them in it's a super easy class. She is a little difficult to find a contact for but gets back to you quickly when you need help. Make sure to watch the lectures and use the study guides given.

Loved this intro psych class! Everything was done at your own pace so I was actually able to finish early. There are 4 tests that are open note and you can make up the questions you missed for half-credit. All assignments were 10/10 if you completed them. Kays is really knowledgeable at what she does and I found her lectures really interesting.

I took abnormal psych with Dr. Kay and it was a hybrid class that met twice a week, some students went to a physical class and others could join by zoom. Everything was super interesting, she usually showed relevant videos on one day and we played Kahoots! on the other day so it made class time fun and interactive.

Dr. Kay had great lecture recordings, though there was a lot to get through each week online. She was always ready to help explain missed items on the tests, and graded assignments fairly. I really liked how she prompted us to relate concepts to our own relationships to solidify learning.

Best Psychology class I have ever taken!

Kay had recordings of lectures that were clear and engaging. When using examples she would always make up a crazy out of pocket example keeping the lectures fun. It's not necessary to watch all the lectures as all of the test content comes from the review test bank and from the textbook. Great stepping stone to more advanced topics.

I really enjoy Dr. Kay's classes. She knows what she is talking about and cares about what is going on in your life. If you stay on top of assignments and participation points you will do just fine.

Dr. Kay was very funny and caring. She could be a harsh grader sometimes but would give you useful feedback. The work is easy if you keep up; a couple of textbook quizzes per week, four exams, and a poster presentation. I really liked this class and I liked Dr. Kay very much!

Dr. Kay is awesome! She makes sure you understand the material (real-life examples, reviews, study guides, adds humor, etc.). Attendance graded-allowed up to 4 absences. Hybrid class (lectures in-person, non-cu tests/exams online). No assignments, only tests/exams. Clear schedule; can work/test ahead if desired. Trust me, you want this professor!

This class was pretty easy. Professor Kay seems like she doesn't like to give 100% on assignments and will dock you a point (or even a half a point) for silly things. Tests are typically 45-50 questions and have a 50 min time limit so you have to prepare bit but it wasn't bad!

Her lectures were great and she was so nice! It is helpful to read textbook but also her lectures go over the material okay. Kahoots every class and the winners get extra credit. Each week there is one written journal about a topic from weekly chapter and one chapter quiz. Essay for signature assignment. Great class I really liked Professor Kay!

Very easy grader, just do the work and do it on time. Tbh I didn't attend class very much, but she reached out and was helpful. Her lecture recordings are sorta helpful but LONG, I felt I was better off reading the textbook and skimming through lecture videos. Journal entry + short quiz due weekly. 500 word signature assignment. No final exam.10/10

Grade is solely based on weekly assignments, no quizzes or tests. Easy A if you use the multiple opportunities for extra credit. Most assignments are easy and take maybe 1hr or 2, there are a couple longer papers during the semester so make sure to budget way more time those weeks as it's pretty big variations in work load from week to week.

She is very passionate about what she does, and tries to make the class as convenient as possible. This was a hybrid class so we only met in person once a week. If you can't turn something in on time simply communicate with her and she will happily give you an extension. Quizzes are NOT timed and you are given several opportunities for extra credit
