THis is an awesome class! She explains great, and is very organized with notes. Also, your test come from review sheets, so if you study, you will pass. I didn't even read the book. I just did the review sheets and studied! HIghly recommended!

She is the best teacher I have EVER had at Gordon College. She is very helpful and the labs are fun. The tests are easy if you study. Her classes fill up by like the first day, but take her if at all possible.

GREAT professor!!! Loved the class. Is not afraid to say anything. Very open about everything. EXTREMELY interesting. Knowlegeable! Great notes and study guides. Gives all of it to you the first day of class. TAKE HER!!!

Very nice but also very strange lady. Knows the material she teaches very well and knows how to explain it so that students can comprehend it all. Always willing to answer questions in and out of the classroom and won't give up until you understand the material. Has a strang obsession with STD's but it's the scientist in her. She's great.

Dr. Stanley is a goofy lady. She likes to crack jokes in between lecturing which is usually pretty funny. She knows the material of the class very well & she's very easy to talk to. Great sense of humor and a very fair grader. Easy to make an A w/ minimul effort. If you don't know the answer to a question on a test, you can write a joke and she'll give you partial credit for making her laugh!

FABULOUS!!! LOVE Dr. Stanley -she is funny, helpful, and interesting. Her class was fun and I learned a lot - she gives you a study guide for EVERY test and they are EXACTLY like the tests - just study and make an A - if your happy with your grade you can exempt the final!! Dr. Stanley is an excellent professor and wants to see her students succeed but I have several problems with her teaching methods. 1) Memorizing study guides does not prove that you are smart, 2) Make labs harder lab should not be an easy A 3.) Most real colleges do not give out study guides your notes are your study guide and learn the material!!

You can't get much clearer in terms of teacher. You do the work, put forth the effort, and study the material, you will get an A. She wants a student to succeed, and she makes it difficult to fail. If you fail her class, you should just drop out of college. Seriously!

Absolutely LOVED this class! Yes, she does give you the test questions but NOT the answers. I learned more in her class than any class I have ever taken. She cuts right to the chase and you don't have to waste your time learning things that are not important! I still remember every answer to every question on EVERY exam! Loved it! Highly recommend!

She is very easy and helpful. I wasn't excited about Bio until I took her class. She gives you a study guide but not the answers. However, she will tell you if the answer is right or wrong. Dr. Stanley is a great teacher - she really explains things well in lecture. She does give you the test questions, but she doesn't just give you the answers, you have to put some work into it. Lab attendance is mandatory BUT her labs are lots of fun and really easy, she doesn't give a lab exam, so suck it up and go and get an easy good grade.

Dr. Stanley is extremely quirky but she has a really good teaching style! I took her summer micro class and she explained everything in big, bold letters. She is easy going and her labs are really fun. Her tests are all short answer and she gives you the test to study, just not the answers. A little studying and memorizing will earn an A easily.

Dr.Stanley was the best teacher I've had in college so far!! She is so willing to go the extra mile to help you understand the material and be prepared for her tests. I didn't study for tests till day or two before and made no lower than 98 on all of them. Super fun class!! Really interesting material too... Just be sure to not skip, its her pet peeve (she does notice)!!

By far BEST prof. I've EVER had! She REALLY gets you interested in what she teaches and her tests are SUPER easy as long as you study the study guides she gives! She has the coolest personality and will help you in anyway she can. You WILL write papers in here, but what do you expect you are in college!

Dr. Stanley was great! I took her MicroBiology class during the summer. It was the first summer class I had ever taken, so I was nervous that it would be too much work. It wasn't, at all! She explained things perfectly. She was pretty hyper, but really enjoyed teaching MB, so it made it fun to learn. I would definitely recommend her!

Hands down the best science professor I've ever had. I'm not typically good at biology but her lectures were so interesting and she teaches in a way that really everyone can understand. She's hilarious and you'll never be bored. Tests are basically the same as the study guides, she just makes you answer them yourself. TAKE HER. YOU WON'T REGRET IT.

I would definitely recommend her for Micro. Easy class, she gives you all the test questions, and all the labs are done together, but you do have to do either a presentation or a research research paper. She's very enthusiastic and makes the the class fun and interesting. Loved her class.

Two words: Love her. She is the easiest teacher at Gordon. Her tests are short answer, but she gives you the questions before-hand. She gives you the lectures but be sure to not miss class because she will give you the short way to answer test questions that are not in the printed lectures.

SHOW UP TO CLASS. It's the only way to pass the test because she gives like specific answers. She'll give extra points if you show up to lecture and others don't. She's so sweet and understanding. Don't miss a lot of her classes or she'll start to not like you. Don't take advantage of her kindness. Don't skip lab either!

Dr. Stanley makes microbiology fun! Grade is based on lecture exams and a 6-8 minute presentation. Lectures and exam questions are online but if you dont come to class you won't get the answers. Her exams are all short answer and essay based and gives partial credit. She gives extra credit if she doesn't get exams back fast enough or low attendance

Dr. Stanley is hands down the best professor! The test are all short answer. the study g is the test. All you have to do is study your guide and you will do fine. She is such a energetic person and makes learning fun. She drops your lowest test grade or you can take the final. And youll have to do a 6-8 min pres but its super easy. Def take again

She is honestly one of my favorite professors! However, if you miss lecture, good luck on the test. She gives you a study guide which IS THE TEST. And sometimes even gives extra credit if you remember a random thing discussed in class. EX: Who is Dolly the sheep named after?

Stanley's class is very lecture heavy, but as long as you show up to class and take notes on her lecture you will get an A. You get a study guide for every test and the study guide IS THE TEST. Sometimes she will also give you extra credit points just because or for bonus questions. Everything on the test will always be discussed in class!

Currently, I have her for Biol 1111K and there is not a doubt that I will make an A. Take her, she is the best!!! At first, I thought I would fall asleep in her class because it's at 8am, but I was wrong! AMAZING LECTURES! SHOW UP TO ALL LECTURE AND LAB! LAB IS MANDATORY SO JUST GO AND GET THAT EASY A! If you have the option to take her, DO IT! She is very quick to respond to emails and is very understanding. She is very hands-on and gives a study guide before every test; study it, it will be what's on the test. Be sure to go to every class, attendance is graded. The best class I've taken at Gordon!

She went above and beyond when switching to online material because of COVID 19. I enjoyed her lectures prior to that, she is very funny and makes the material fun to learn.

Dr. Stanley is an amazing professor. Everything she teaches in lecture will be on the test. 4 exams, open note and open book. Make sure to take good notes and write everything she writes on the board. Open to any questions you have and is always available via email, office hours, text, etc. 10/10 recommend!

Dr. Stanley is a top-notch professor that focuses more on the actual content and making it engaging as opposed to getting a ridiculous amount of information for the test. Her labs are also less focused on more PCR or gel electrophoresis, and instead focuses on making an actual discovery. Best professor I've ever had!

Dr. Stantley was such a great professor and does not bore you with having to learn PAMPS AND PRRS. The study guides help tremendously and it really helped do them as she goes through slide shows.

Dr.Stanley is the absolute be professor I have ever had. Although her test are heavy, she gives you everything you need to make an A on every assignment. The key to making a good grade is attendance. She does not use a book therefore, she gives all notes in lecture. She makes class interesting and fun. She makes everything relate to real life.

Makes study guides similar to exams Exams are take home and open for a week (download a word doc and do it on your own time) Everything she says in class answers the questions; if you can't find an answer it is directly in the textbook You do not have to understand microbiology to make an A Didn't have to take final if happy with your grade

Dr. Stanley is AMAZING! She is genuinely hilarious, her lectures are engaging, and all of her Exams are open-note/take-home. She hates Essays, so her class projects are really fun (non-essays). As long as you take the notes she writes on the board, you can pass with an EASY A+. More professors should be like her! I actually LEARNED in her class!
