Fairly easy, light reading 1Hr/Wk. No HW, lots of EC. She give very interesting lectures, fun class. About 30-40% of the class will get A, Yippeee!. You learn a lot about the planet, fun and fairly easy group project.

Tarlos makes Geo fun.She tells stories of her experiences so it makes her lectures lively.There is a lot of cancelled classes but that's ok with me, as long as we cover the material and we do.I bring a recorder because she talks very fast, this helps alot

She is the best teacher i have ever had! her tests are easy and her lectures arnt boring.she knows a lot about geography and even has a cute little hobby studying royalty that she is so proud of! She is the cutest teacher ever and i highly reccommend her!

This an easy class all you do is take notes on the lecture and turn in your maps and tests are ok, not too hard not too easy. She's a very interesting instructor and well informed.

Prof. Tarlos is wonderful! She tells you really interesting stories from all around the world and really keeps you awake and interested. Take good Notes!!!

I agree that she is a very sweet lady, but her tests are way too hard. She talks super fast, so it's really hard to catch on...make sure you take good notes and remember your questions to ask after class. If you are looking for an easy class, don't take her class.

She is a very polite and nice lady. I used to hate Geography, but I must admit that I've learn a lot of cool stuff with her. Her examinations are for some strange reason a little hard but if you read the book and take good notes you will pass. I liked her class.

She is so funny. I admit, she rambles and gets a little side-tracked at times but soo cute! Easy class, she tells you whats on the tests and quizzes. Truly wants you to pass no matter what! She made us truffles for our final! Yum! She lovers her students as if they were her own.

Great teacher, interesting, fun and entertaining. Her tests and quizzes are very easy. You barely need to study for them. The easiest A I ever recieved. Just pay attention to the class notes, and do not waste $110 on the book. Und wenn du kannst deutsch sprechen, nimmst du dieser Klasse.

I have to say this is my favorite professor in the last two years at OCC. She is so funny, explains things very well. Might be rambling on at times, but she does keep things interesting. I love how easy the tests and quizzes are. If u are interested whatsoever into geography, u will love this class. PS dont leave during the movies or else ur screwd

a really sweet lady. tells THE MOST random stories! if you took 100H and didn't like it, you'll like 180H more. there's a group presentation, 2 quizzes,2 exams, an extra credit quiz, a research paper (piece of cake, everyone gets 98%) and some little in-class projects. really knows her stuff and you can have great discussions in her classes.

funniest geography class ever. She tells the weirdest and randomest facts about different countries sometimes.. its really funny. Class is always fun and she helps you if you ask her. take her class!

hilarious professor, always talking about gravity. super easy class, just take good notes, and study them for test. you don't even need the book really, except for the extra credit quiz. but very easy, fun class, and easy to learn from, way better then your high school goegraphy class

tarlos is pretty cool...her class is really chill...take notes most of the time...watch videos...and there is a group project which is really easy...REALLY easy quizzes..she usually goes off subject and rambles...your guaranteed an A even though its honors...its really easy and fun!

This class is really interesting...not because of the subject but because this teacher has some weird stories. She likes to go off on tangents, so theres a lot of self studying for this class, but if you take good notes then you should still be fine. It's really easy to get an A here.

Prof Tarlos is a great teacher. I love her stories bcuz it keeps me awake. She truly knows how to teach and is clearly passionate about what she does. Attendence is crucial even tho she's not strict about it. Lots of materials on the test are from her lectures. Tons of extra credit opportunities. Highly recommended

I felt that I didn't learn.She knows her stuff, there is no doubting that, however, she leaves a lot of material out. Very easy class with a ton of extra credit. Test are easy.Don't read the whole book, her notes are enough.

Her class is pretty easy if you study and take notes (write down what she says not just what she writes on the board). I agree with the person below her tests are wacky and not formatted neatly so it can be confusing. Just study and be sure to be there for test review and you will get an A. Group projects which are not that bad. So-So professor

First of all...Tarlos is a very sweet lady. She loves what she teaches, which shows in her teaching style. No homework...but her tests were difficult. Hard to focus sometimes because she always goes off on tangents that have nothing to do with the subject. Is always willing to help if you don't understand something

shes so easy. take honors.. seriously i heard its easier than regular. she gives 75 pts possible of cake extra credit. thats like a whole letter grade! super chill lady, easy to sit through, tangents bigtime. tests are so easy, multiple choice and matching mostly, and the wrong choices are soooo blatantly wrong... TAKE HER!

Professor Tarlos I loveee you!!! she was such a fun, upbeat teacher for an 8am class. Always sharing the most random stories and her adventures from her past career in business. she was soo funny, her tests are easy!, the map project is MAJOR points, overall i loved her and the class. Take it for the requirements easy A or B!!! love it!

I'm a straight A sutdent but I find her class to be hard. All the crap you study isn't what you expect on the test. THe test where something out of grade school geography. If you make little mistakes a lot don't take her. I did a lot of extra credit to get an A but learn nothing except stories of her life.

Loved this class. Very nice teacher. She makes class fun. Very helpful. Always returns emails. Makes class fun with her stories. I would defiantly take this class again! Never used the textbook. I never bought it, you just need to have maps to use for homework. Overall, best teacher ever!

This was one of the few classes I've taken without buying a textbook. If you take notes and do the other easy map projects you should get an A. However, if you dont have perfect attendance you might need the textbook. Although she does get sidetracked during her lectures, overall her classes where absolutely tolerable-even interesting.

Witty sense of humor. Cares about her students. A little disorganized but thats ok. Wish she told us in advance when she was absent.

Great teacher! Very nice makes lectures fun with her interesting stories and personality. It's true some stuff that you put in your notes aren't in the quizzes, that makes it a little difficult. But if you actually show up to class and really pay attention it's pretty easy.Overall a great teacher, has a passion for students.

The best professor of my college carrier! She is very funny, her class is rarely boring, and if it starts to get there she will through in a wild story of when she traveled the world. Dont buy the book! You wont use it! she lectures exactly what are on the tests. If you have good attendance its hard to fail the tests. There is very little homework.

amazingly nice teacher, never yells, never picks on anyone. you can tell she is very passionate about this class. her quizes are the EASIEST! and the exams arent much harder. she makes you watch these old movies in class, but you really dont need to, none of them where ever on the tests. she has a good sence of humor as well.

She's very sweet and entertaining kind of person. Her quizes and tests are very easy, sometimes there might be something never mentioned before in one of them. The only thing is that she very often gives a wrong information, just learn what she said, use it in the test and forget it. Easy A and fun classes.

Sometimes there will be a question on the exams never mentioned in class, if you tell her you're confused, she'll probably help you out. Super fun class.

I had Tarlos for Geog 100 over the summer and the only reason I took Geog 180 was because of her! She loves what she teaches and is very helpful. Usually has a funny story or two. I'm sad she's retiring, but I know she'll pick an awesome replacement.

Funny teacher, goes off tangent alot and tells random stories about her life. She's pretty nice. Sometimes she does put random questions on her tests, actually every time. But overall pretty easy! She's retiring now so... yeah.

she is retired now. Overal, she is pretty easy. BUT she can lose your maps. She lost one of my maps and as a result, i got a B. But Im asking for my score back. Im still waiting for her reply. If I can get my score on that map, I will get A.

Pretty easy for an honors class. She always goes off tangents with her life stories and tosses random questions on the test, but honestly her tests are not bad at all if you simply attend class, takes notes, and look over the chapter reviews.

Easy class. Lots of personal stories to accompany whatever she was talking about that day. Took notes all class, sometimes a movie here and there, but it wasn't that bad. Generally easy tests. Only homework was to color a map of a contenent for each section we did... super easy! Too bad she retired the next semester, would've taken her again.

Great teacher tells very interesting stories. Down to earth and her stories help you remember stuff about countries because they are so interesting. Great teacher to do study abroad with.
