This teacher makes me want to be the best educator I can be just so that I can make her proud. She allows you to do whatever is necessary for you to understand the material. She is not very strict on her requirements, only that you take the time to do the work and do it to the best of your abilities
COMPLETELY blinded by unrealistic views of education and totally unwilling to hear any side other than her own. If you disagree with her in class, you'll be sorry. Assignments are easy, but I found her to be rather subjective instead of the objectiveness you;d hope to find in an educator.
Very animated, jubilant teacher; it is very obvious she enjoys what she does and would like others to enjoy themselves as well.
This was an 8 week online class. It looks like a lot of work each week but it is really quite doable if you pace your reading. Theri is very helpful and love what she is teaching. I would recommend taking her for your education classes.
(Distance-Ed course) Very straight-forward and linear class. Follow the chapters, do the quizzes, submit your work weekly and you should get an easy A.
I loved this teacher. She's very inspiring and I was amazed at how dedicated she is to her job and how willing she is to help her students. The discussions in class made the time go by really fast. I'm hoping to take my other education classes with her.
Mrs W is a wonderful teacher she is not just concerned about my education but also concerned about my professional as well.
I love her passion, but she is not a person you want to take for a class, unless you are a minority. She allows the class to get completely off topic, and she has no grip on reality. She shows you what is going on in the school districts, but only see's the minority side of view. White people are not the cause of all problems, she doesnt see that.
Flexible, caring, understanding, kind, reasonable about work and assignments, lots of thought-provoking discussion in her live classes, lots of discussion board use and some chat in her online classes. She has 20 years of school teaching experience, so she has many instructive stories to share. Forgets to give breaks so you'll have to remind her!
I took this class online and found it very enjoyable. The book was easy to read and the class actually taught me a lot. A good class to take online.
very nice lady, at first seemed a little on the flighty side.as she seemed like she forgot many things. after some initial misunderstandings she turned out extremely helpful. class is not hard. full of basic edu info. Not a bad teacher or class. she seems like she genuinely cares for her students. some prof are not that way.
She was really great...I loved her class...there was lots of discussions...her final was a piece of cake...shared lots of useful information
She's great!
Very helpful in understanding today's teaching climate. Seems to have morals and care about students and provides much helpful information. I wished she was more organized with due dates for assignments (cause Im very organized) But overall I liked her.
Took online. There are weekly postings and respondings. A group project, which is hard if you get put in a lazy group. She seems unorganized and confused about her own course, but is generally a very sweet teacher. If you don't have patience, don't take her.
Took 201 and 210 in the classroom with her and 220 and 280 with her online. I'd recommend her for any education class she teaches. Caring professor who really wants her students to succeed. Super sweet!
Great teacher, very knowledgable. If you do the assignments it is an easy grade, but do not take her for granted.
I thought she was very intersting. Always had a smile on her face always laughing. She does tell ALOT of personal stores.
I took this class online. I learned a lot in her class, and I would highly recommend her. She is very fair and does not weigh the tests heavily. One research powerpoint presentation is due at the end of eight weeks and several small assignments and discussions for each chapter in the book, not too difficult. This was a great class!

She is a great teacher, very sweet and helpful. Its an easy class if you just show up.
Great class and great teacher. The online 8 week course was a good choice for me. If you take it do not wait till the last week to do the final project, start early and you will do fine in the class.
I took the eight week course and it was not a walk in the park, but if you stay up on things it is an easy A. A lot of reading for the short class and a huge project to finish. Do not wait till the last minute on this project is is a big part of your grade.
She is one sweet and bubbly instructor! She reminded me, even on your worse days, always have a smile on your face. Her personality helped me not be so robotic in life.
Although the prof. had problems with the new online system, the class was cake. Just stay on task give a check everyday to see if she posted anything. The test were so simple the answers were all from her powerpoint. Don't buy the book borrow it... I used the book twice to reference. She was very helpful and replied right away. Take her class!!
Shes the best teacher I've ever had, she has a great personality is the sweetest person ever. you just have to participate in class but the test and assignments are simple.
This is BY FAR my favorite teacher ever. She is very passionate about teaching and is just a wonderful person. Her classes are quite simple and she explains everything so you can understand it. Her classes are fun and easy going. I HIGHLY recommend taking her courses.
You do not need any web site to cite or any friend to seek help because she is with you all the time that u need help.Take her live class to enjoy her pizza party.
Easy class and there is only one test that was the final. Didn't really keep to the schedule and was confusing at times.
Its was a cool class. Good to take online. Did the summer class and it went pretty good. Was not hard at all.
Took her for 201 and 280. She is a really great professor. Loves students & teaching! She knows so much;take advantage of it!
Took this ONLINE. Very helpful! Replies quickly to emails/posts. I took another online class at the same time where the professor was totally absent in every way, Wyckoff showed me that all online classes are not the same! Would choose her again!
Ms. Wyckoff is awesome! I had her for EDU 203 as well as EDU 280. She is extremely helpful and makes sure her instructions are crystal clear. There is alot of use of the textbook in EDU 280 but the quizzes are easy. The assignments are not that bad either.
Professor Wyckoff is fabulous! She really cares about her students and education in general. I am taking her for edu 201 and I have already registered for her edu 280 in the summer. I have recommended her to all of my friends! Professor Wyckoff is the best! :)
I really enjoyed 280! I took it as a summer 4 week class and you can definitely complete it in that time and learn a lot. Very nice professor and the projects were fun and interesting. (very hard to find that combo)I am excited for the Fall EDU 201 semester! :)
Easy class, nice teacher. Took online. Do the work, get your A, its that easy.
Theri is a awesome teacher who knows her subject matter! This course is no walk in the park. Theri is really fair & very helpful. This class was a lot of work, but so worth it. She responds to your email's ASAP. If you don't understand what she wants she will show examples, or will email you ASAP. Take her class you will not regret it!
wonderful teacher, easy assignments. Just follow directions and turn in your assignments. FYI for the online class if you turn in your assignments a week early you'll score 5 xtra points at the end of the semester. Easy A. Fun assignments. Just do the work. She communicates with her students and is thorough in her directions.
Professor Wyckoff's class was fun! Super easy. The tests are online and the answers are right in the book. However, there was some busy work that really didn't help and she is sometimes confusing with her assignments. But, it's an easy A. She is a great professor. She'll do anything to help you pass her class. Take her for EDU classes.
Great professor. Very helpful. Good feedback. Answers your emails quickly . Online course was good. She is such. Good teacher and her assignments are easy to understand that I am taking another one o he classes this semester.
Awesome teacher! Easy A if you do the reading and the assignments
She is lenient but disorganized. She does answer emails immediately. She is not a hard grader, but sometimes her instructions are not cleared. She does let you redo work for better grade.
She's tough, but I learned a lot. You will not be able to fly through this course by turning in first drafts. Everything must be perfectly written. Take my advice, go to the Writing Center before you turn anything in. It will save you time in the long run. It's a sweat to get an A, but it's possible. She is helpful even if she's a hard grader.
Good teacher. Instructions were clear and to the point. Assignments were evenly spaces out. Simple discussions due every two weeks. Fair grader :)
Good teacher. Instructions were clear and to the point. Assignments were evenly spaces out. Simple discussions due every two weeks. Fair grader
Professor Wyckoff is an epitome of a great teacher. She is very much concerned about her students' success that she offers her services to them beyond class hours. Her very happy disposition is catching."I thank God each time I think of her; and when I pray for her, I pray with joy." She is truly a remarkable person.
Nice professor but can be strict with her rules. Class was interesting and the videos as well. Not a hard class and she's not a hard grader. I took it online but hear stricter results from those who took it on campus. So I had no problems with her and would take her again.
Professor Wyckoff provided ample information for assignments for online classes. She explains exactly what is expected. She is organized, clear with instructions, and the amount of work is reasonable. She answers questions very quickly and provides good feedback on assignments. She really cares about her students and wants them to be successful.
My EDU 280 class was online and it was SO easy. You only had about two assignments every TWO weeks. The discussions were easy, the quizzes were very "from the book", but you have multiple chances to take them. The midterm and final were both set for retakes as well. One tip: Get your group together EARLY for the group project!
She's very clear with her directions and gives examples for you to follow. The videos were really eye opening and the text was easy to follow. You write multiple choice questions for the discussions, which was fun and good experience for future teachers. Plus, you get three chances on the quizzes and exams! Great prof and great class!
She was a great instructor. She gives you lots of examples to follow. The quizzes were pretty easy. If you just follow her instructions you will do great in the class.
Professor Wyckoff is awesome She was so helpful the entire course She will give you feedback on all your work if you submit it early then you can correct everything and submit it again for a better grade I do not have anything bad 2 say about this course Easy but not easy You have 2 put in the effort The teacher does so why wouldn't you Great class
Professor Wyckoff is awesome! She was so helpful the entire course. She will give you feedback on all your work if you submit it early. I do not have anything bad 2 say about this course. Easy but not easy. You have 2 put in the effort. The teacher does so why wouldn't you. Great class!
Professor Wyckoff's directions are very precise. She insists on students using APA for projects and papers, which has been invaluable for my upper division Education courses. Turn in assignments early and she'll give you feedback so you can revise and resubmit for a better grade. You can tell she really knows her stuff and cares about education.
She's not easy but I learned a lot.
This course is no piece of cake, but If you do your work early and submit it before deadline, Professor Wyckoff will work with you until you get the assignment right. She gives good feedback and is there for you. She expects you to have a good work ethic. She was really ill during the semester, but she didn't let that stop her from doing her best.
Professor Wyckoff is so willing to work with her students. She answers questions promptly and is immensely helpful in her feedback. She really cares about her students and doesn't want anyone to fail. She let my group redo our PowerPoint so many times until we were successful! She is so nice and patient and deserves the best!
She's by far the hardest grader of the Education professors at CSN, but she makes you want to do your best.
Professor Wyckoff makes online classes easy. She maps out the whole semester in a clear way. She explains everything she wants in detailed instructions. She provides examples to make her online class easier since we are not being taught face to face. This is my 3rd class with her and I absolutely think she is the best education teacher CSN has!
Very helpful and responds quickly. Major grade is based on the case study. Very good professor.
I completely feel that Professor Wyckoff is here for our success in the class. She is completely responsive to her online students and wants the best for us. She never wanted us to fail. She gave us more than enough chances to correct our assignments and was immensely helpful in her feedback.
The professor provided a lot of helpful videos to watch regarding different cultures, race, ethnic backgrounds, etc. I enjoyed watching them all and giving feedback on them. I also enjoyed reading the chapters in the book, as they too were very helpful. Overall, I enjoyed this class very much. I learned a lot!
Prof. Wykoff is very knowledgeable in her field of study and is very good at making the assignments comprehensible.
Very experienced, and very caring. She is focused on real-world uses of the material for students who will be teaching soon. The case study and artifact project are very interesting, and good preparation for real situations.
Easily one of the best professors I've had. If you're looking for an easy A, don't take her. She makes you work for your grade. She isn't a tough grader, she's just very particular. You need to do what she says... not what you want. If you cut corners, she'll notice. She is a very understanding woman and genuinely wants her students to do well.
I took her Edu Psych class online and I loved it. This professor is AWESOME! She really cares about her students and if they 'get' the assignments and material. If she feels you did poorly on an assignment or did not understand the instructions she will allow you to do it over. I highly recommend her and I am taking her again next term.
I really enjoyed this professor. She does not assign very many assignments. The ones she assigns are some what long but she is not a harsh grader although she does give feedback. She responds to emails in a timely manner and seems like she genuinely wants to help.
Professor Wyckoff is a very helpful teacher. Expect to read a lot and do more than what is expected or she'll dock your grade. Sometimes she takes point off for things I felt that were her fault because it wasn't clearly stated. Overall, her class was pretty easy. Just be sure to do the work and do exactly what she asks or you will be penalized.
She cares & is kind. Pay close attn. to all msgs & syllabus to know expectations, or you will suffer. Be ready to work in the dark. She takes a very long time to grade papers (3-4 weeks). Each paper is a foundation for the next so timely feedback is woefully lacking. She needs to require rough drafts to keep feedback a part of the process.
I somehow got an A, but there was no clear guidance on what to expect for the tests. They were hard! I thoroughly enjoyed the videos she had us watch and I learned most from those discussions. Sweet and caring teacher with a good heart.
Wyckoff relentlessly helps her students to succeed.
One term paper due that you build upon throughout the class. You have to get each paper reviewed by the writing center or online. Has study guides (multiple choice quizzes) for each chapter and you also have to write in why you think your answer is correct. Some discussions. The most work I did this semester but manageable. Do the work and you pass
She requires a lot of work. She cut our syllabus in half this semester because of family issues and she was easily still my hardest class. 3 huge papers and the study guides are a TON of work. I wouldn't recommend if you do not like doing work or have a full course load. She is a good teacher and you learn a lot, but the workload is huge!!
This class is definitely tough & there is a TON of work. Make sure you start on the papers & Case Study prior to a few days before the due date. Also, be sure to submit everything to SmartThinking or it will not be graded. However, Professor Wyckoff is the best professor I've had at CSN. She is so caring & truly wants to help her students succeed.
It's a lot of work, but this is college. She was helpful and communicative and provided clear instruction and assistance. She tells you everything you need to know to pass the class. She has a passion for her job and wants her students to do well.
I took her 4 week summer course along with 3 other classes and didn't find it difficult at all. There was a total of 14 graded assignments: syllabus quiz, 4 discussion posts, 6 quizzes, cultural biography, diversity lesson plan, and final exam. 2-3 retakes per quiz/final exam, must submit projects to writing center, great communication.
Professor Wyckoff was such an amazing professor. The work is not tough its just a little time consuming. You get two tries on every test and quiz so i recommend taking pictures after your first try so you know which questions you get wrong and right makes the retake much easier! Highly recommend Prof. Wyckoff for EDU 280!
I loved this class! Wyckoff was a fantastic teacher. The work isn't that hard at all. You get two this on all tests and quizzes to make sure you take pictures of all questions so you know which answers you got right and wrong. You can only see the answers immediately after taking the tests. I have 6 classes & didnt feel overwhelmed at all.
I really wish I would have taken a class with her sooner! She is so well organized and has answers for just about anything. If you are getting and Education Degree, she is the Professor you want to have as much as possible.
Best teacher! I've taken her for every EDU online class that I needed. Clear grading criteria, and gets back to you very quickly with any questions, and answers them thoroughly. Sadly i'm finishing EDU 299 right now so I won't be able to take any more of her classes. All teachers should be like this!
Very nice teacher. Clear grading criteria and always willing to help. Would recommend!
Awesome, caring professor! I took all the EDU courses I could possibly take with her. She is always very clear with her instructions and will swiftly respond if you still have questions regarding assignments.
Super amazing teacher. Gives amazing feedback an extremely easy class!
Professor Wyckoff is an amazing teacher, she gives really great feedback. Professor Wyckoff is very great at communicating with every one of her students.
A sweet lady who has no problem answering your emails promptly, though encourages posting your questions on the Student Forum. Can at times be a slower grader, but usually has good reasons and you can use the "What If" Canvas feature if you're curious. The book is MANDATORY, definitely rent/buy it! You'll likely fail without it.
A sweet lady who has no problem answering your emails promptly, though encourages posting your questions on the Student Forum. The book is MANDATORY, definitely rent/buy it! You'll likely fail without it. Also, start the Case Study assignment EARLY as there is a lot of work involved and you will need the extra time!
Amazing teacher! She is very helpful and understanding! The class was extremely easy! If an assignment is turned in early she gives feedback and lets you resubmit.
Amazing teacher! This class was super easy! Only had 1 quiz and 2 assignments! Professor Wyckoff is extremely helpful and gives great feedback! If you submit your assignments early she grades them quickly, gives feedback then lets you resubmit assignments!
Professor Wyckoff is an amazing professor. only had 1 quiz and 2 assignments. She gives really great feedback. She also allows you to resubmit assignments for a better grade if there are any mistakes.
Professor Wyckoff is an amazing professor. There were only 1 quiz and two assignments that were graded. She did give such wonderful feedback, and let you resubmit assignments to fix a few mistakes.
loved this class took the condensed 8 week course along with 4 other classes and was doable. everyothing is due weekly roughly 4 assignments due each week that you turn in by the end of the week. super friendly and accessible loved this teacher and her feedback. lots of opportunities for extra credit. check announcements frequently during the week
One of the more odd teachers I've had. her feedback was robotic and not very encouraging. I'm honestly just glad I got a good grade and am done with the class. It's extremely easy, just don't be a bigot and you'll pass.
Edu 280 consisted of mainly discussions every week, as well as 10 hours of community service/learning. There was one big project, but really straightforward and easy class.
Professor Wyckoff is an amazing teacher. Just be sure to follow her directions and do what she asks and you will do fine. There is a lot of reading but it is manageable.
Professor Wyckoff was kind, professional, and had high expectations for her students. She takes her profession seriously, but also manages to show humor every now and again In her lessons. She is just a tiny bit of a tough grader, but its not by much. I would 10/10 recommend her class for any aspiring teachers out there.
There are a LOT of chances for extra credit if you go to cultural events. You will have to buy the textbook as you need it for quotations. I took the accelerated class and had no issues with the pace.
Extra credit options are abundant with Professor Wyckoff! She is very compassionate and kindhearted, she allows resubmission for the projects. In addition, she provides thorough comments that assist you to get a perfect score. The quizzes are book based. You can also work ahead in her class. Her instructions are are clear and organized!
Most of the work was projects and discussion posts, very great professor.
I took Professor Wyckoff's 8-week course and the amount of work we had each week was acceptable. The quizzes are based on the book, but, you can find the answers on Quizlet. Discussions/projects are easy, just make sure to follow directions and ask questions!
LOVED THIS CLASS! HER SCHEDULE WAS ACCESSIBLE for the class, and had a clear pattern, LOTS OF EXTRA CREDIT, FLEXIBLE with turn-in dates, and GREAT FEEDBACK.
This professor is amazing! She is very caring and understanding. She offers many extra credit opportunities and allows late work. Her instructions can be lengthy, but the student forum can clear everything up. I took the 8-week course, so I had more of a workload but nothing that wasn't manageable. The textbook is mandatory!
This class is usually the last education class therefore, this is where you turn in your portfolio. Prepare for a lot of work HOWEVER Prof. Wycoff is very understanding and if you do your work and participate, I have no doubt you will pass. Keep in mind the portfolio is crucial to your grade so start early and ask questions ALSO TON of extra cred..
She's a very nice person, one who clearly cares about teaching. Responded quickly to any questions, gave good feedback. She once gave me a 0 on an assignment, & when I asked why, she said it was a mistake and fixed it. So, very self-aware. However, she was disorganized, contradictory in her instructions, & she takes a very long time to grade.
Professor Wyckoff is a caring instructor who provides ample extra credit opportunities. The workload is manageable, even in the accelerated 8-week course. Textbook is required, but quizzes and study tools like Unstuck ai can help with prep.
LOVE THIS PROFESSOR! So much extra credit, so much feedback, loves being an educator and clearly wants to produce the best educators for tomorrow!
This professor is great. It is very easy to get an A in this class. She offers a lot of extra credit. I took her 4-week course and got over 100% in the class. As someone who gets stressed very easily this class did not stress me out. There was a lot of work due each week because it was a 4-week course, but the assignments are easy.
She is an amazing professor, and she was very understanding of all the difficulties during the course period of the course. Your grade can depend on three big assignments at the end, which felt heavy until the end of the grading period. She was communicative until the end, and she was honest the whole time. She gave good feedback on assignments.
I had her for 220 and 280 very good professor, very clear and professional, her assignments were doable yet challenging, and I learned a lot of things from her. Definitely recommend taking her.
She is great at giving feedback and helping guide students to pass the class. She gives extra credit and allows you to look at the feedback and change it.
I took Professor Wyckoff's 8-week course where grading and expectations were made clear. There was a period of time where she was behind on grading, but communicated greatly and gave reasoning. Several opportunities for extra credit. Workload is reasonable and some assignments were actually fun to complete. Overall, I recommend taking this course.
Professor was amazing and very informative. She is very understanding and fair towards students when it comes to personal issues going on in their lives. She offers extra credit and genuinely cares for us to achieve success in the classroom
