he is really funny and tests aren't too bad. just pay attention in class and you should be alright

Enjoyable class. Must attend regularly to understand material. Only gripe is that he didn't go over study/homework problems in class. Overall, It could have been alott worse. I would take him again.

had him at 8am and managed to go and pay attention, of course he is also really, really sexy, so that doesnt hurt. intellegent, but not presumptuous, i like a professor who wears a tshirt every day. you have to study for his class but its easy to pay attention and if you go most days you will be set.

i had problems with AP econ in hs, but wow. this guy makes it so easy. no tricks here, but straight out what you need to know. he WANTS you to do good, and his tests are straight out from the notes. he gives out summary on what you need to know for the tests. btw, 87-100 is an a in this class. best teacher ive had in auburn. hilarious guy too!

Great Teacher. Get in his class if you are at all interested in economics. His tests are very fair, and he will never fail anyone who puts in an honest effort. He is one of my top 5 professors ever. Highly recommended!

Beard actually teaches us stuff that we can impress our friends with that makes us Economists sound really smart and feel good about ourselves. Teaches everything in a way in which you can understand and not just sit there in confusion. Highly recommended and very knowledgeable teacher. BEARD = GREATNESS!!

Beard, the man, the myth, the legend. Amazing teacher. Take his class. If you go to class it's easy, and for 9 in the morning it's interesting. Well, here's that chili pepper I promised you.

Professor Beard is hands down the best teacher in the econ department. His class is very insightful and he is hilarious. He makes it bearable to come to class

The course is very well organized. The lectures simply follow the point, and are fun to listen to. Just make sure that you know the graphs/charts that were taught in the lecture and you should do fine on the tests.

Dr. Beard is a great teacher and a very smart man. His calculus rants get a bit confusing, but he grades easy and he really wants his students to succeed. I would recommend him to anyone interested in Economics. Plus he has more peppers than any other Econ. Professor!!

Dr. Beard is an amazing econ teacher. Everyone had always told me how boring and hard microeconomics was, but with Dr. Beard it is fun and interesting. He relates economics to life and has a great sense of humor. Definitely try to get him- oh and by the way he is gorgeous!

Randy "CHILI PEPPER" Beard is by far the best teacher in the economics department. The only way CHILI PEPPER could be any more helpful is if he curved his test, but if you ask him for help of any type he is always there. Take his class and DO NOT PANIC!!

Great professor. Great Class. Highly recommend taking Adv Micro to any Econ major. The material is really interesting and Beard lectures with a nice balance of information and humorous anecdotes. And it should be noted that he's a total hottie.

IO is the best class ever. It is my last semester and I just know Im going to get an A, even though Im usually late on most Mondays. This guy has change my life for the better and the guy name thats starts with a B and last name ends with a K made an A on the first test!

This guy is great! His test are a little more difficult, but hey, he has a bailout plan!!! and it works! He is probably the most interesting professor I have and have had so it makes it easy to get up and get to my morning class with him! He gives you reviews for your test and finals so you really need to use them! the Blues are extra-credit!

One of the best teachers I have had at Auburn. He truly cares about his students and even took time to help me with another Econ class. Very funny and smart but tests could be difficult. He curved tests when he realized they were too difficult. He will not let you get below a C unless you try to. Definitely take him!

Randy is a DAMN SAINT! He is always in a great mood and makes a true effort to teach well. He is very understanding and helpful if you visit him. He has a subtle sense of humor that can be a nice way to start a morning class. He's also one of few professors with good taste in music. Take him!

Prof. Beard does a fantastic job at bringing Economics down to a level that anyone can understand it. He works problems, explains concepts, and ties them all into things that we do or see every day. I highly recommend him for any class you can get him in. An added plus is his sense of humor, I actually WANTED to go to every class.

He is funny and interesting to listen to. He gives examples that can make the material a lot easier to learn and tries to keep everybody involved.The tests aren't too bad as long as you do the homework he gives out (which is not for a grade) and read the text.

Awesome teacher, definitely take him. Tests can be somewhat difficult but he's extremely generous in his grading. Also, he's appearance is a gift from the gods themselves. So that's a bonus.

Dr. Beard is very helpful and gives good examples. He gives out practice problems which as similar to the test. Tests are tough and you have to study for them. I needed some extra help and Dr. Beard found a tutor for me which really helped me in class.

Absolutely one of the best professors at Auburn. I wish he taught my major so I could take more classes from him. If you put in the effort and try to learn the material you will absolutely get an A. Clarifying the material before the test with him helped a lot for concepts I was iffy on.

Definitely recommend taking this class. The only grades for the entire semester are three exams, but if you go to class you will be fine. Also applies pretty nice curves. Very funny. Would 100% take again.

Had him for gov business and society (mainly all about regulation), a literal KING. So funny and lectures are so interesting, gives clear content for exams (but arent the easiest). One my favorite professors here at Auburn, you MUST take him.
