He was such a good teacher. I took him during winter and it was great. No home work except speeches. Two tests and they are easy.

He's really nice and the class is really easy! The class is fun and he's a really easy grader. Take him for sure!

THE CLASS WAS EASY. 2 TESTS, 4 JOURNALS, AND 2 SPEECHES. HE MAKES THE CLASS LAUGH AND HAS FUN WITH IT. HE CAN BE SARCASTIC SOMETIMES, BUT FOR THE MOST PART YOU WON'T FALL ASLEEP.

Excellent instructor. Two test in class. First one is challenging. second one is easy. Writing is based on your personal experiences but must follow specific instruction to prevent points from being taken off assignments. He is easy to get along with. Highly recommended to take for an instructor. Text book easy to read. Fun class!

Mr. Berry is one of my favorite teachers. He is funny and has some interesting stories. While he is very generous in his grading I learned a lot. This guy really knows his stuff. Just don't be a flake, don't be late and try to have good attendance and you should be fine.

Berry was one of my first college instructors I ever had and thought that if all instructors were that way id love to stay in college! Hes awesome and has a good sence of humor :] he keeps the class interesting and never puts you to sleep. Always has stories to tell that cracked me up.

He does not make you feel nerveous when you make your speech and was one of the professors I'Ll never forget!! very funny by the way. I strongly reccomend him for anyone!

The instructions in his syllabi were crystal clear and very helpful for planning ahead knowing what he expected of us. His sense of humor I totally got, it can annoy some people though. It made the semester go by so quickly and made learning fun.

Easy class, funny instructor. He's fairly easy, 2 journals, 1 paper and 2 presentations. Be on time and take notes and you'll have no problems.

Professor Berry is pretty cool and funny (dark sense of humor) but he doesn?t mess around when it comes to class norms. You need to be there every day if posible. Don?t let the first day or two of class fool you he comes off hard to get your attention. Test can be tough. Over all very good experience.

Took Mr. Berry's speech 1 a few summers ago...it was suuuuuper easy just show up, participate a little in his discussions, give a few decent speeches. Easy A!

I highly recommend him. I took this in Winter of '09. He is comedy, and a VERY good teacher. I swear he should have been a psychologist instead. His classes are great and never boring. I had his at 7am, and he kept me entertained in my most tiredest states.

He actually made speaking in public seam easy and more comfortable that other instructors I've had in the past. He is fair and teaches in a way that is easy to digest. I got sick and couldn't make it for a test, you have to have a doctors note!!!!

I really enjoyed taking this class with this him. He is pretty funny and makes a lot of jokes. I took this course during the summer so attendance was very important. We didn’t have much homework, just a few journals. The midterm and final were both all multiple questions and were pretty easy, as long as you attended class and paid attention.

Never a dull moment in this class. He has a really great grasp of the subject and can explain concepts with familiar examples. The workload is light and the assignments are actually fun. He allows for discussion and awards participation points, so don't hold those opinions back!

I absolutely loved this class. I have always been terrified of public speaking, but Prof. Berry made it easy and fun. Good assignments that make it easy to get in front of class and he has a good sense of humor. Extremely helpful and puts students at ease while presenting. Pretty easy grader as long as you put in effort. Definitely recommend!

Professor Berry is amazing. I am terrified of public speaking and he made the class a comfortable environment. He is a fair grader. You're in college, you get out of it what you put into it. Study, pay attention during lecture, and do not miss class. I recommend this class to everyone, you'll be missing out if you don't!

This class is easy and Berry is very upfront about what he expects you to know. The tests are NOT difficult. If you just go to class everyday and pay attention, you will get a B. To get an A you need to study and write college level papers. It should be common knowledge to not be late to a final. Just show up and turn in quality work.

This class was pretty cool. It consisted of 2 test(mt&final), a self-concept wheel, 3 1-page papers, & a 3 page essay. Overall, he's a good teacher. Teaches the subject in a relatable way. Not a hard grader, you just have to try. Couldn't say I was a fan of his personality. He was a bit pretentious and snarky. He looked like phillip seymour hoffman

He cancels class a lot. If you've taken an English class you don't need the book. He's fun at first but as the semester goes on listening to him complain about things gets old. He tries to hard to be hip and relatable. Passed with an A but I didn't learn a thing.

Had him for 1,8,& 9. All a's. I was very nervous in front of people but he helped me get over that for my speeches. After taking his class I took him again for the extra help in talking in front of people. He understands nervousness . His lectures were very funny. Used the book occasionally. Dont be a flakey person. Try a little and you'll do good.

Mr. Thomas is a great instructor. If you want an A in his class you have to work for it.. Don't expect to get an easy A if you don't do your speech presentations , or show up to class late. Take notes because everything on your notes will be on mid & final exams.

He is very clear on what's expected and lectures are not too long. Pay attention and read the book and you will get an A. assignements and tests are pretty easy but you have to do the work to get an A.

The tests were online and at home so that made the class pretty easy. He assigns a couple papers that are not difficult as long as you ANSWER THE PROMPT. If you do that, then the class is an easy A. He was very entertaining and the class felt more discussion based which was nice. I would take him again!

Very easy A. Attendance is important. You only have 3 written assignments, make sure you follow his version of the APA format, don't Google it. I had points taken off for a running head. He's also pretty funny, come full, he talks a lot about food, specially battered and fried food, LOL

Easy A in this class. He is hilarious and laid back. One thing that does bother him is you arriving late to class especially on any presentation day, no matter how small. if you get to class late on presentation day then you will not be allowed in. He is also very clear on what he expects of students, and even gives outline for presentations.

Professor Berry is very funny. This class is never boring. He does go off topic a lot but it is entertaining and makes the class go by fast and more enjoyable. This class is an easy A if you show up, take notes & do all assignments. His tests are a little tricky though. All in all a great, pretty easy class. Would take him again!

Great class to take! lots of laugh and great class interaction. Tone of each class is tailored to the subject that you will be dealing for the day. ex. if topic of material is conflict, he pretends to be mad and irritated with the class for any reason, then segway into the topic at hand and observes the mood of the class. He's awesome and funny!lol

Hes a very funny professor and this class was an easy A. All tests were online so obviously its an open book test. We had to do 4 speeches in front of the class but they were easy. He gives you a good format to follow and its super simple. I have very bad stage fright and following his format made things so much easier

Professor Berry is amazing! He is very funny and his lectures are lined up with today's pop culture trends. Be prepared to take a lot of notes, which are very useful in taking exams. I definitely recommend his class 110%. He is genuine and cares about his students. He makes class very fun and engaging.

Prof Berry is super laid back and funny. He really cares about his student if you dont like something he will try to change it he is really understanding. Be ready to take a lot of notes. Do NOT skip class attendance is mandatory if you want to pass. Overall would DEFINITELY take him again.

Professor Berry was a very hilarious teacher. He explained everything that was expected of us very clearly. During the lectures he would pull up the slides and leave them on as long as we needed them. There was only one presentation in front of the class, other than that we had three other papers, which were pretty easy if you payed attention.

Prof. Berry is by far the best professor I have ever had. He is hilarious! Very helpful getting his students to understand the material. Uses scenarios and lectures/powerpoints based off of today's settings and relationships. Assignments are easy if you do the work. Ask if you don't understand and he will gladly explain. Professor Berry is the best teacher you can choose. If you want a professor who understands that life isn't easy and is caring hes the one ro choose. I took this class in the summer term and he made it very easy to get an A if you are willing to do the work. This is not a show up and pass class be prepared to actually do work.

Supper funny guy, he loves to talk about food in my class and I can't get enough of his lectures. Presenting in class is obvious and gets anyone nervous but he is very open to lots of different topics to choose from and respects your beliefs or opinions. I would take his class again just to hear his jokes. Showing up is probably half your grade.

Do the work and show up, Easy A. I saw some wrote he talks and rants.. but it's a communications class so.. I feel he mainly did it to get us all engaged, which would work. Overall I would take him again.

Awesome professor and person overall. He tells you exactly what he wants in your speech outlines and almost always made the class feel welcoming on speech days. Lectures can be boring but he mixes it up with class discussions and sometimes with his own stories. He truly cares for his students, we need more people like him as educators!

Mr. Berry is a real fun guy to have as a professor. I took him for COM-1 and it was very enjoyable. IIRC, there were 3 main lectures that we had to give. They were pretty easy. It's a public speaking class so be prepared to speak more than once to the entire class. Its def an easy A though. Final was online based off the readings from the textbook.

There are 3 papers, 1 project. It is mostly powerpoint lecture and story time. If you don't like that, then don't take him. It's a really easy and fun class. IF you skip class (which I did once), my grade dropped 4 points for attendance. Don't stress about the class, it is an easy A if you use your resources smartly.

Honestly if you miss class you wont pass . I did all the assignments and got As on them. I missed 3 days of class and went from an A to a C as my final grade. Hes a great teacher, just dont skip class because your grade will drop big time !! But other than that its a very easy class not a lot of homework.

Quizzes are super easy, but a bit tricky sometimes. Very few projects, and they're easy and detailed too so you won't feel confused. He's pretty good at easing the silence enough to make you chuckle a bit. Great teacher. One of the good ones.

Not a boring teacher, the lecture are good 1-10 they are a 8 , he is funny , super nice and cares about his student and their grades. The class and the subject itself is very intersting.

I took COM 9, COVID hit and I had him online. Zoom meeting one day a week for a couple of hours but he recorded it and you'd receive credit if you missed class but watched the recording. Easy quizzes, no more than 10 questions. Assignments were fun and no discussion board. Good feedback and easy to talk to.
