Took A&P with Dr. Betsy on a Saturday.6hr.in a row!!! But HE made it fun and interesting.Always very helpful,friendly,great sense of humor.

He is a great guy..very funny. Easy to talk to. You can do well in his class, but you really have to study hard for the tests. His reviews for the tests are not that great. You need to study the whole chapter...doesn't narrow it down enough.

He is a very fair and talented professor, I learned a lot with his class. Just study the lecture and read the topic that he discuss and you will be fine. An easy A.

Very nice guy... he is extremely helpful when you ask him for help... Anatomy is a very difficult subject on its own but he makes it as easy as it can be... ALOT of studying!!! but his questions are very straight forward... no trick questions and they are all multiple choice.

Prof. Betsy is an intelligent, FUN, super clear and interesting teacher to take ANY science class. His exams are exactly from his notes that you copy from the board. Though he needs to work on his writing, but you'll just laugh. I recommend Prof. Betsy for a funfilled and a total learning experience

I find him organized interjecting humor and tales of his family (including a chubby faced brother) into lectures. I seek him out each time my nursing professors are unable to explain something. I wish they knew they knew half of what they r teaching, or 20% of what Dr Betsy knows. One of the best!!

Dr. Betsy is a very good Professor, very organized and knows the subject well. I like how he interjects humorous antidotes into a difficult subject to make it fun and easy to learn. If you want to learn, he's the best! He's also a snappy dresser.

Dr.Betsy is a great professor he knows the subject very well.His tests are very hard but pay attention on the review, this will help you on the test.His lab quizes are easy.

I had so much fun in his class. It was so easy to get A. The class average was pretty high. If you pay attention to his lecture and the review, there will be no problem getting good grade. Since it is the hard course, make sure you read the chapter ahead of the class.

Professor Betsy, is the best professor ever at bcc, easy to understand I was lucky of having him for bio,the lab reports, and the classes are easy to do, do not skip classes, always go,he is a very nice person , very lovely person, which is a good combination along with the teaching. If you dont like a and p take dr betsy, if you do like a and p, take dr betsy. Either way it will work for you, he is so intelligent knows his stuff in and out, however he wants everyone to pass and do well and is very clear about everything he teaches, you can only blame yourself if you dont do well in this class...dr. betsy is EXCELLENT take him!

It was a fun class.He made the 3-hour class go faster by stopping the lecture and joking about something...It helped a lot not to fall asleep.LOL

He is fun and very nice but for if you are internasional student I don't recomend him. He goes fast and you don't have any review sheets. You must listen to him to catch all questions for a test. Even when you fall the tests you can rise your grade in lab quizes and lab reports.

Besty is great. You have to listen when he gives a "review" which is usually the week of the quiz or exam. He really does care about if his students are learning, but if you don't go to him then he does not know you are struggling. Very understanding and funny. "God Love you thanks for coming!!!" Taking him for 209 as well!

He is GREAT!!! he is so helpful, and all his notes help you in the test, if you study you should pass. I recommend everyone to take him for A+P 1, you will not regret it!!!

I took both 109 & 209 and got As. Dr. Betsy is one of the best professors I've ever had in my life. He is smart, funny and very approachable. The exams are not difficult. As long as you study, it's easy to get an A. No need to read the whole text book. Just study the notes and things he mentions during review. They are often the actual questions.

Dr. Betsy renewed my love for science all over again. Genuinely cares for the students and is very involved, absolutely loves what he teaches, together it makes for a great course. you learn a LOT and you love doing it. Never got bored either, he adds the perfect amount of interruptions! I'm waiting to take him for 209 as well.

Professor Betsy is by far the best professor in the field of anatomy you could possible ask for. Not only is he entertaining, but he's VERY intelligent and KNOWS what he is talking about. Any question imaginable, he will have answered for you! He finds ways to make the class fun, and interesting. I've learned more in this class than any other EVER.

He may digress with his stories, but he's a great teacher, who's very interested in his students, well knowledgeable about the subject, and very willing & eager to help and explain the complex topics better for you. I LOVE HIM! he cares about his student writes notes but expects you to also read parts of the book. Makes corny jokes but you seem to laugh every time lab test super easy. Take good notes.There are things he says out loud that he doesn't write on the board so pay attention when hes talking and looking at the slides which are JUST pictures Thank god

I am in his class now for A&P1. I am definately taking him for part 2. He is a really good teacher but you have to study. When he does the review you should definately write down as much stuff as he says. The first test is the hardest, after that the other tests arent so bad.

He was a substitute for my BIO teacher and he was GREAT!! It may sound weird, but to me, he taught the class better than my regular professor did. Meaning, I understood everything he was teaching it wasn't boring at all. If I can, I'm taking him for the next BIO course that I have to take.

BEST TEACHER EVER!!.. took him for a&P 1&2..not hard at all. the class is very in depth and u do have to study to pass.. but he makes it soo easy.. record reviews for exam.. test are mutiple choice 50 questions and attendance does count.. he makes the class fun and hes very funny..you will never be bored..everyone should take him

He's a great professor! Tests are very easy. He tells you exactly what to study during reviews. He literally read from the test. Excellent overall. He used to be a chiropractor so he know's his stuff! And he's hilarious.

A&P1 I want to commend BCC for keeping Prof. Betsy- an EXCELLENT teacher. I definately learned a lot within a month's course. There was not a day when he was down, but upbeat & interested. He's nice, caring, his family stories are funny (ice cream cone & his dad LOL). You must study, a&p is a serious course but Betsy makes it fun. Buy his books!

Great professor. Tests were easy (50 multiple choice questions usually covering 5-6 chapters, told you exactly what to study during reviews). He explained the material extremely well, stuck to a schedule, and knew how to run the class. Very fair. Also smart and hilarious. Recommend overall!!

He is an awesome teacher! Funny, and very sweet. He also knows his material like the back of his hand. he takes the material very fast and it is hard to keep up. you can definitely not be a slacker and take his class. you must study like there is no tomorrow. he gives a review prior to tests and quizzes but it is hard to judge exactly what its on.

AMAZING Professor!!! By far the best professor I ever had. He knows the material, extremely organized. He moves quick so you have to keep up with reading and studying. Gives reviews. Betsey has a really cool personality. He gets side tracked easily to tell college/ family stories. All his notes are powerpoint (not on moodle). Tests are multiple choice. You will have some fun here in this class.

He's really Good. I'm taking him again for 209. Fast paced class, Must pay attention and attend class, but he really makes it fun and interesting. As long as you put in the effort, you'll get an A. He values your effort. Definitely take his class.

Favorite professor of all! The class in general is very hard, but he makes it enjoyable and interesting. He is very approachable, and helpful. He always makes you laugh. You definitely need to do a LOT of studying in this course but he makes it as easy as possible. His notes are on power point slides so you can take notes easily. Take his class!

Betsy is great professor, he is very clear about what he expect. Anatomy is hard class so you have to do your work ! I would strongly recommend Dr. Betsy...very organized, positive human being...you will learn a lot and if you did not, you will love anatomy. I worked HARD for my A. He teaches extremely well and is very knowledgeable, but unless you study and do the work, you will NOT pass. His tests are only "tricky" if you are just using buzz words and not really learning. Many people got C or Fs. Record the reviews!! Take thorough notes. If you're doing what you need to, you will think he's hilarious

Betsy is a funny and skillful professor. There will be a lot of notes to take in class. So do not miss any class! Most of the questions in tests are from notes and text. Anatomy and Physiology is not an easy subject. But with this professor, an A is definitely possible. Good luck!

Dr. Betsy is not overrated. It is a college level biology course, you need to study and read the textbook and show up to every single lab. Professor Betsy is a very nice guy, super helpful you can go to him with any questions. explains difficult concepts with clarity. I absolutely recommend.

Dr. Betsy made studying A & P fun and insightful. Be prepared to read and study hard. Do all your assigned work and study the material and you'll pass with flying colors.

Professor Betsy is great! His enthusiasm and passion for the material makes you want to get a good grade in his class. He is very informative, helpful, and always willing to re-explain material if you don't understand it. I highly recommend him if you are taking anatomy and physiology 1 and 2.

Very nice and knows his stuff. One downside is that he talks way too much and way too fast. Make sure you pay close attention.

You need the lab book. type powerpoints. Study long for tests and study for lab diagrams and you will be fine. Lab reports are easy. Wish the research paper counted more than the tests. A&P 2 is a bit harder so make sure to study. Studying is necessary to pass. If you are a bad test taker just try your best to pass.

Professor Betsy is absolutely the best! He knows his information and honestly one of the best professors I ever had. There are lab quizzes (easy), a 2-page paper (easy), and three exams. I purchased his own book (not expensive) that he wrote, which was very helpful! I barely used the assigned textbook that much.

I was nervous to take A&P I for the first time, but he turned out to be one of the best professors I have ever had. He is hilarious and keeps the class entertaining. All the work is really easy and the exams were fair. I didn't buy any of the books and still ended up with an A. Definitely recommend him!

Dr. Thomas Betsy is a great professor. He gives 3 tests, and a few quizzes. Labs are pretty easy. He only asks for a lab report every once in a while (usually after the first lab). He grades lab work very fairly. He is very funny and loves to tell stories. Can be challenging if you don't study. Definitely recommend taking his class.

I loved this man. He made summer A&P I super bearable. His tests are straight from the lecture notes and tells you exactly what to study. He makes hard material easy to understand. He goes off on tangents and tells funny stories for a majority of the class, but that made it fun. I wish i could take him for A&PII

I took A&P in the summer and it was overall a good class. IF YOU DONT PAY ATTENTION AND DONT STUDY YOU WILL NOT PASS! Plain and simple. He does not use the text book only lab book. I bought the book he wrote which helped. But his exams are straight from his power points. He is funny but sometimes loses focus and goes on rants about random things.

He almost always dismisses early especially from lab. Lab is supposed to be two and a half hours ussually only makes you stay for one hour. The class covers a lot of meterial so you will need to work hard and study in advance.

Professor Betsy was hands down, the best Anatomy professor. He made me look forward to going to his lectures every morning because they were interesting and involved. His tests reviews are exactly what will be on the test itself, and there was no surprises. On the other hand, for students who rarely show up to class, you will not pass.

The course itself is hard and has a lot of information but he always reviews for his exams and quizzes. Study and you'll definitely pass his class. You don't need the textbook but you will need the lab book. He's a great professor, he always looks to help you out just don't abuse his kindness.

Dr. Betsy is an amazing teacher for Anatomy. I took him over the summer and he ended up making the class super easy and helpful. He gives you exactly what will be on the exams and quizzes. He is a great professor I am already registered to take him again for A&P 2. He spoon feeds you all the information you need to pass his class. When he reviews the exams he is reading right from the test itself all you need to do is pay attention and the quizzes he normally gives for homework. You need to pay attention and take notes though.

Lectures are power points. Goes over the necessary info. Makes up great ways to have you remember. If you can follow directions and study you will def pass. Class is never boring. Labs are good. Great sense of humor. Respectable. He definitely likes what he teaches. Knowledgeable and very military friendly. Very enjoyable class. Study his reviews!

Took the class during summer II. Overall the class wasn't hard, I would normally study the night of till exam time. He goes mostly over everything that will be in the exam/quiz, make sure to record this when he reviews. Some of the questions during exam were tricky/worded to confuse. Most importantly make a study group, at least to share reviews.

Obsessed with Dr. Betsy. He's always cracking jokes and overall makes learning fun. I was always able to remember notes from class just from analogies he made, which was super helpful for exams. Does require putting in effort but so worth taking a class with him, one of the best professors I ever had.

Took this class in summer II, and I learned more in this class than I have ever learned before! Betsy is so smart, knowledgeable and really enjoys what he teaches, always has a smile on his face. This is NOT an easy class! You will have to work and study for your grade. Lecture exams have some tricky questions, you must Study!

AP1+2 with Dr. Betsy. He is by far the best teacher I ever had. He blows all the professors at PSU out of the water. Hes smart, funny, very kind. Omg Dr. Betsy is the best!!! He is so passionate about anatomy and loves teaching. Even though lecture is online, he makes it manageable and not as stressful as it needs to be. In-person lab isn't bad either. Definitely taking him again for Anatomy II.

He is awesome? If you study you get an A. He gives you a study guide and all the test is there. He is extremely understandable and helps you with whatever you need. He is very patient and makes A&P class so easy. Break out everything for you, and makes you study only whatever you need to know. Makes jokes and gives you tips how to study.

Best professor I had

Betsy no doubt is the best A&P II prof out there. It got to the point where I was excited to hear about him talk about his family and his vast knowledge on presidents. On top of everything he taught us anatomy II related, it felt like I had a friend by the end of the semester. Anatomy II is hard enough, take this man and you won't be sorry.

3 lecture exams, 2 lab exams, super light lab work, a few lab homework, that's it. It's true that he literally spoon-feeds you the knowledge that you need to know on tests, cuz he just wants to make sure you know the most important parts. Show up, hand in the lab homework in time, type what he said during the review, study, and you WILL get an A.

get ready to video record this professor, he go over the material in class over and over again ,labs and exams aren't hard if you studied the material provided by Dr. Betsy. If you don't understand ask again , he is there for you and def. is going to help you. He makes the class fun and i would def .take A&P2 with him.

Great professor! He gives a lot of homework and tests are somewhat difficult (its just a lot of memorization). Always jokes in class and tells a lot of stories that relate to the lectures. Easy going guy. Doesn't do study guides only reviews. RECORD THE REVIEWS. You'll pass if you record him he tells you everything on review days.

I took the class over the summer, so we had a lot of content to cover in 5-6 weeks. Professor Betsy's pacing was fantastic, his lectures are awesome and straightforward, and he gives exam reviews! Record his exam reviews because they're accurate to what the exam is going to test you on.

I wish I tried harder in his class. Make sure you have a lab group that's on point or you'll be doomed.

Dr. Betsy is a profound professor. He genuinely cares about his students. He does not teach by reading off verbatim from a PowerPoint; he knows what he is talking about and never has to look at notes or the textbook. He even wrote his own book! I feel privileged to have taken Dr. Betsy and have learned so much.

I'm in AP1 with him now. Lectures move too fast to fully learn, so self-teaching is essential, with a new chapter each week. Tests are challenging: lectures have 50 multiple-choice, labs 25 with open-ended. Grades aren't on Canvas, so you'll know them at the end. Avoid taking other hard classes with AP1-2—they're time-consuming and stressful!

Amazing professor! will forever recommend him for Anatomy&Physiology 1&2, he is really funny and make the class fun and boring and he also cares about your grade and does as much as he can to help you by his reviews and lecture. It is a hard class so it requires a lot of studying no matter who the professor is.

Doc is an amazing professor. He is very down to earth and is very knowledgable. He wants to see you succeed and trys to make studying as easy as possible. He prepares you for tests and everything he revierws is on the test. You do have to apply yourself because it is a lot of memorization. GET HIS BOOK it will help. He is one of the Best at BCC

Most knowledgable man I've ever met; doesn't read off slides but instead describes everything in-depth. Relates it to real life, connecting concepts to real diseases. Review material IS basically a replica of the real test. However, goes on tangents that are often longer than the lecture itself; idk if its just during summer session & he's got ADHD

Doc is an absolutely amazing professor! He's the first professor I had at Bergen and he really made my experience enjoyable! He's so down to earth, loved chatting with him after class. His class is an easy A as long as you put in the effort. He truly wants you to do well. The class requires hard work and ALOT of memorization. So be ready to study.

Prof Betsy happens to be one of my favorite professors I've taken at BCC. He gives a lot of homework and his slides are not so detailed so you'll need to write your notes well. HOWEVER, my favorite part was the exam reviews were copy paste. Whatever he mentioned in the review that's all that was on the exam and very easy to get a good grade. 10/10

He is an amazing teacher and really cares about students, reviews are very helpful for the exams and he is hilarious
