He's a crazy guy! But hes fun, and makes it a little more interesting to learn about government. Which I still hate, but understand a little better now.
He's cool, and he makes a lot of facial expressions. He's a good guy, tells a lot of funny stories.
Boudrot is an awesome teacher! He makes learning fun for everyone, even if Government is boring and difficult to understand. I would recommend taking his class :)
good teacher, very energized, makes learning fun
does not explain anything! looks at you like your stupid when you ask a question...thinks everyone should know EVERYTHING about government going into this class.
WORST TEACHER AT DELTA! WAY TO MUCH HOMEWORK. MATERIAL IS NOT FROM THE BOOK OR NOTES ON THE TESTS. TALKS FAST. GOES FAST. FLAT OUT HORRIBLE!
His tests and quizzes can't be any easier and you're a fool if you don't get an A. There is endless amounts of Extra Credit your way and it's not hard to get at all. Fun guy, still hate government, but I know what it's about.
This guy is terrible. He teaches incorrect information, expects way to much from students and tries hard to find faults with each student
very energetic. if you do what he assigns, then it's an easy class. he rewards those that take a step above the rest.

This is a neat guy. He expects some work from you but not a lot. If you take this class expect to laugh loud!
Energetic instructor makes his classes interesting and entertaining. Lots of group work and group discussion. If you pay attention, take notes and study, there is no reason you will not succeed in his class. I enjoyed his class and would recommend.
THIS MAN IS SO ENERGETIC ITS CRAZY. BUT I LOVE EVERY MINUTE IN HIS CLASS THERE IS NO WAY U CAN SLEEP IN THERE. THERE IS SO MUCH INFO YET U UNDERSTAND IT BECAUSE HE TEACHES IT SO CLEAR. PLUS HE IS SOOOOOOO HOT! HE MAKES ME WANT TO BE THERE
He is a great professor! Everyone knows that Gov't is boring, but he makes it interesting. This is the first gov't class i have ever passed with a A.
Very passionate about what he teaches. Dynamic. I don't think the man's ever heard of the word "monotone." Assignments are brief and relatively painless--expect to spend no more than about 45 minutes per. Would definitely recommend!
He gets so into what he is teaching that he makes class sooo much fun. He explains things well, and is always making you laugh. You will LOVE his class.
Great class! Very energetic, and makes political science *gasp interesting. I never thought I would see the day. Take him!
i hated this class he is very unorganized and expects EVERYONE to except homosexuality......dont give ur oponion cause if its not his then ur wrong and he fights with u about it and calls people rude names
Great teacher! Very few assignments, a lot of notes. A lot of opportunities for extra credit. Makes the time pass much faster than your average teacher! As long as you participate and pay attention you're guaranteed a good grade!
Very energetic Professor. He get very into what he's teaching. Very Impressive because he doesn't use note cards to teach it just comes as he thinks of things abotut the subject. He kept me interested in the class. One bad thing is that he's very opinionated.
An amazing teacher.Never knew I could enjoy Political Science so much.

Very good teacher, i hate government class, but he is very enthusiastic and keeps you from falling asleep, highly recommended.
Very Closed Minded. Makes you do a group project report, and if he doesnt find it interesting, he will tell you to sit down and give you an F even if you have good info. Dont take this class if your not completely enthusiastic and excited when it comes to gov.
MR Boudrot, is a great teacher makes Gov Interesting take his class I PASSED!!!
I guess it's a Okay Class, You have to write papers every week. I personally didn't care for his class....
Good teacher, makes the class fun.
Really hard professor, but if you already have an interest in government he will make it interesting. If you actually want to learn something, take this professor.

I don't think too much of a teacher who gets all pissy and walks out on his students. If you like writing 21 pages or more for a none english class then this is the class for you. Also, you pay around $60 for a book and maybe look at 10 pages. I would definetly not reccommend this teacher.
He was helpful and made gov't easy to understand. Take a lot of notes he sometimes lets you use them on quizzes and tests.
this is a great teacher. Despite other comments by very close minded people. He is very scatter brained and cracks a lot of sarcasm in class, but it is equally distributed.Very humorous&understanding. As long as you pay attention, take your notes and participate you can expect a good grade. If you dislike POL he will definately make it interesting.
This is the worst class I have ever taken at Delta, he gives out homework, like essays, and study guide quetions but never grades it or returns it. so i guess you dont get points for it. i have done three page essays and not recieved any points for it. he flys off the handle if a cell phone goes off or if anyone comes to class late. not a nice guy!
his class is hard, but he's a cool guy.
I loved Mr. Boudrot. He made the classes really interesting by saying things like Queen Elizabeth was a ****...which evidently everybody should already know. His tests are simple if you study just a little before. He gives good notes, and a study guide to use. He's a really laid back teacher, the only thing I didn't like doing was a class project.
Intro. to Pol. Thought: An alright class. Boring because all you do is watch movies and then write essays on them. He doesn't really do any teaching.
LOUD. and claps. big time lefty, but once you get used to the in your face persona, pretty interesting class. Boudrot made the class not seem four hours long. Big project, start early, quizes and test are all out of the notes, the book is worthless, execpt for the Constitution. have fun!
This was the worst teacher that i have ever experienced. assignments are not handed back, the class is SO boring, and he doesnt offer any help. the WORST class and TEACHER i have ever had.
Very tough class. Tons of homework given some of which is hard to do. Nice guy, lots of energy. Does not get involved enough with students if they are having problems it seems.
Professor Boudrot has got to be one of the funniest men I've ever met. Made the topic interesting, worked to make it understandable. I recommend him, definitely. He gives a personal and -honest- opinion on government and he understands how it honestly works.
I thought that Mr. Boudrot interested me so much because he was so enthusiastic about the subject. He's extremely knowledgeable and loves what he teaches. Quizzes every class were a hassle, but as long as you study the notes it's not too bad. Totally take him if you can!
Boudrot was a great teacher. He definitely knows what hes talking about and has a great sence of humor. He is pretty hard on grading... im sure if I had another teacher for this class I would have got a better grade but he was still a really good teacher and I definitely take him again!
He's just really hard to please. It seems near to impossible to figure out what he wants. He's a tough grader and isn't affraid to drop kids for attendence. Truthfully I have learned a lot from him. Take EXTREMELY GOOD notes and write down everything he says, stay on top or ahead of the educator homework.
Way too much homework for a 100 level intro class. One-third of the class is more about current event topics than the government which seems like you're taking an extra class. He is energetic but he's also loud when it isn't necessary. I wouldn't have taken the class from him if I had known what I know now. I've heard all other teachers are easier.
He Is A Good Teacher And He Is Not As Hard As You May Think But If You Go To His Class U Are Going To Learn Something Weather You Want To Or Not
He is very hard to please and only hears what he wants to. He is very energetic and often loud for no reason. He doesn't favor any students but if your opinionated I think he makes you pay for it. He assigns a lot of homework and a lot of that you have to pay attention to on educator. I would try another guy for pol.
This teacher is fine as long as he is right as stated several times below. He doesn't like to be questioned about anything. Agree with him and you're "IN." It's really sad. If you must take this class choose another professor. By the way, I got an A in this class so this comment has nothing to do with my grade. Remember to agree with him always!!
He is a good teacher with very high energy. He can be a little over the top but its what keeps you paying attention. You definatly cant sleep in his class
Everyone is too hard on him. Sure he is tough, but this is college... He really knows his stuff and you will learn tons. A must for Pol Sci majors and anyone who really wants to learn.
People need to understand we are in college now. He is good teacher he uses comedy and keeps people interested. He is tough on writing but is still a pretty decent teacher. He also knows tons about the subject!
This professor is horrible. I did not agree with his opinions one bit. I would highly suggest that nobody ever take a class with him, EVER. HE SUCKS.
He is a born professor. His passion for the subject was contagious. At times he lacked clarity with regard to expectations on assignments. It was best to ask questions rather than assume you understand. He is very no-nonsense and intolerant of excuses, immaturity, and shallow thinking. His was a class that alters your perspective of the world.
He is crazy! Ask you how you feel about an issue then tells you how wrong you are. This is like a debate class. Dont not take him if you can avoid it.
he frustrated the hell out of me. he is a flaming liberal and there are no two ways about it. as someone said before, he will ask for your opinion and then crush all of your hopes and dreams with a single breath. but definately take him.
I'd avoid taking this class. He is energetic, loves teaching. He's a tough grader though, hard to follow; expect to put a LOT of time into this class. NOT AN EASY A. STAY ON TOP OF EDUCATOR, TAKE LOTS AND LOTS OF NOTES. everything he says pretty much! He got kind of sassy/rude often, and doesn't like you to have your own opinion.
Useless raving lunatic! Imposes personal view, treats you like crap if you try to have your own. Kiss his ass and you will do well in class. Be your own person and get no where.
He's an okay teacer but he grades tough.
He works outside of the book, but he jumps topics so fast it is hard to comprehend where he is getting the information. He looks at you like you are a moron if you don't answer the question in his words or have a question to ask and grades are based on his bias opinion. The class is entry level, he teaches like it is the following of other classes.
Boudrot is a very hard grader. You can think you just got the best grade on your quiz or test, and then get it back and have failed. Exams are all essay and graded very hard! Weekly quiz questions seem to appear out of nowhere even if you studied and took notes in class you wont know all the anwers. He expects you to take notes in class, but his ha
You will think this class is going to be fun because he comes across as this really energetic teacher but unfortunately it sucks! He jumps around and is very hard to follow. His tests are really hard and he goes over too much information in one day. I tried hard and barely passed. Future students BEWARE!!
Hated him the first 3/4 of the semester, but eventually grew a respect for him. Boudrot comes off awful to most, but have an open mind and you will definately learn something. Dreaded taking this class and he does clearly have a passion for teaching this. Not an easy A, I had to work my butt off for it, but in the end was well worth it.
Mr Bourdot is useless. I took an online class and had trouble with taking the timed online quizzes. He thinks all students are cheating! He accused me and had absolutely no reason or right. He is rude and very impersonable. I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING THIS PROFESSOR AT DELTA COLLEGE, EITHER ON CAMPUS OR ONLINE!!!!! HE DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOU
He is a very rude teacher, makes you feel like an idiot, I got an A but I really had to work hard. He expects you to come in knowing everything. Test questions, well you are never sure where they will come from. He really knows his stuff and if you want to aswell, go ahead but he and his language is rude and not needed.
He is very hard. If you want a teacher that says "What's my favorite color?" and you give him your answer and he says "Nope your wrong" then take him. He lets you use your notes some time on test everyday that you have class. Knows his stuff very knowledgable. But tests are very hard. Essay exams and is a very hard grader. Be prepared to work!!
He is a very rude teacher. He makes you feel dumb and you do not know what you're talking about. His class is very hard so be prepared to work and study!! He gave me a zero for doing homework in pencil, also if you get caught using your cell phone or chewing gum, you have to bring in candy bars for the whole class... how stupid is that!
He grades very hard with a lot of work. He is fair though. He is very energetic and passionate. His tests are extremely hard. But I did learn a lot from him. I would recommend taking him if you dont mind working and learning.
This man was by far the worst teacher I have ever experienced. He doesn't care about you or your opinion. He patronizes students as if they were 5 years old. I do not care how hard this class is or is not, there is no need for this teacher to treat his students like BS. By the way we are paying this assistant professor. WHAT A TOOL!
For all of you thinking about taking this teacher, you are out of your freakin mind. His rating speaks for itself. If I was his boss I would hire him just to fire him. Even though I got an A in his class, I would rather wipe my butt with a cactus! Debate class? How about dictatorship. If you have non liberal views change them now or don't take him
I am currently in his Amer. Gov't class, he sets out ground rules at the beginning of class that he does not follow. He is rude and does not value anybody's opinion. Mr. Boudrot will ask for an answer and cut you off in the middle of your explanation. I do not reccomend this teacher. He screams in class but tells us to keep quiet.
I HATED this class at the beginning of the semester, however he has taught me a TON about Govt in only 8 wks. His passion and knowledge for the topics is what I find attractive about him. He is definately a hard teacher and expects alot of time and work from his students but in the end I believe it will be the class I learn the most in by far!
This guys is a hard teacher. He claims he is up to date on current events but doesnt know how to use a cell phone....also he is a homosexual and teaches biased about this issue in class. Talks to fast and very hard to understand and lots of work for a 103 class....avoid him if at all possible
I took this class online in the summer. Seemed like a nice guy even though I never actually met him face to face. He did however say he was a hard @ss, I believed him and expected to failed but I passed. I recommend to follow his notes and never skip readings!
go's on tangents about cell phones, testing, people that use handicap button, smokers, thinks construction workers are the largest occupation o smokers, fails to allow students time to take notes off power point, thinks we have nothing better to do besides answer questions on things note considered government like full body scans at airports.
A very bias grader. He is a democrat so if you have conflicting opinions it will reflect in your grade. His American Gov. class is more like current events.
Hard teacher, but knows his stuff! What is sad is that people are lazy and just want an A without doing anything for it! I would gladly take another beating from him to take another of his classes and actually EARN my grade! Don't always see eye to eye with him but that is life!
He is a really hard teacher, you must put time into this class. Quiz every wednesday and they are all worth 20 points. Also, you have discussion boards online so if you don't have regular internet access, DONT TAKE HIS CLASS!
He was awesome. As long as you can keep yourself motivated and do your work on time. You will be awesome in this class. Very good teacher.
Every one bashes Thomas Boudrot but I thought he was very interesting I wish all teachers were like him. Very down to earth and open minded I like that class was challenging weekly tests but he keeps up to the day with grades in his online class and checks in with us three times a week at least. weekly db's were fun i loved them. Thank you Mr. boud
I do not recommend this teacher to anyone. I am a very responsible and capable student. My grades are above par. His quizzes and exams are not well explained. You do NOT need the book for this class, he uses it on occasion to show a statistic. Find a different teacher or class to fill this requirement.
I would never recommend him! He is, quite frankly, extremely rude. He's a self-proclaimed "screaming liberal," and if you think differently than him, he does all but TELL you you're stupid. I am an excellent student, and I've never failed a quiz or test till I had him. Quizes are POORLY explained, and you never use the book. Don't take him!
I would not recommend this professor. He gives alot of notes and then quizes on things that were not in the notes at all. If you answer is not to his liking then your not getting a good grade. I ended up with a c- and that is the only c- i ever had!!!! he is not a good teacher.
I finished this class with a 112%. We watched PBS videos, had very in depth discussions, and paper writting every week. If you were self motivated and interested in the material he was a great teacher. He is VERY Liberal, and I'm VERY conservative, he gave me a bit of a hard time but seemed to enjoy the back and forth. I'd recomend him.
I would not recommend Mr. Boudrot at all. He will give you a zero on your DB if you put "i" instead of "I", his tests are all on numbers and not the real material, and he is a very unfair grader if you do not have the same views as him. He is an awful teacher and is not willing to compromise or help you out. Find someone else for this requirement.
Very liberal & one-sided instead of being neutral as professors should be. The site used to take quizzes does not always work & he refuses to compromise therefore leaving the students with a "0" grade. Tests are timed & unless you can write an essay in 15 mins then you will fail. Does not grade fairly. Very sarcastic, almost rude. Take Prof Klein.
Alot of online dissuction boards. He also critizises you for having spellin mistakes and not capitilizing I even thouhg he has mistakes in his powerpoints.
I took his class online, and I'm not going to lie...it was very difficult. The saying "You get out of this class what you put into it" fits 100%. If you have a good work ethic, will study hard and will try your hardest, then take this class - you will have no problem. If not, get out as fast as you can.
I loved having Professor Boudrot for Pol Sci. I liked his laid back ways of teaching. I took his POL 103 as an online summer class and did not find it difficult as long as you do the reading. He does however toss in some quiz questions from his e-mails! Read them thoroughly!
I would not recomend taking this guys class at all. I've had some hard teachers before that really did not care but this guy takes the cake. Anything he says, emails, or puts up on elearning (about 500 bits of info) is fair game for a quiz of 10 questions. Avoid this teacher at all costs if possible.
Hard work pays off in this class. The material isn't difficult, but he makes it harder than it is. Write down every single thing he says during notes, even if it seems irrelevant. Usually you are not tested on the material, but the statistics. STUDY FOR QUIZZES. He is also very offensive and rude if you have an opinion opposing his.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS. nice guy, but not the best teacher. 1. Quizzes every Wed. 2. Don't buy the "American Debates" book. 3. Write down EVERYTHING 4. Go to class or you'll get dropped like I did. 5. When doing board discussions you have to think of what HE would write down, otherwise it's wrong. Avoid his class to avoid a bad grade.
Overly energetic. Annoying. Rude. Hard to learn from.
Stay away from this guy I kid you not. 30 page and a half essays on current events, too many emails, discussion posts, and random info to study from for quizzes and his multiple choice exam is based upon all statistical and dated information from the chapters, I am beyond frustrated about my situation now.
His online American Gov't course was pretty easy for me, but I am a politics junkie. I would not recommend taking this course with this teacher unless you come to the table with foreknowledge of the topic and are ready to study hard.
I will tell you right up-front if you do not have good work ethic DO-NOT! take Mr. B. His class is far from easy, his e-mail, notes, book were all games for his quiz's. If you work hard you should do well. Make sure you read the material including email. I considered him hard BUT! very fair.
Nothing worth talking about. Just terrible at teaching
WORST TEACHER EVER. The whole class was based on his opinion only, extremely harsh on grading and made very rude comments too the class.
Please anyone who reads this understand im not joking and don't skip over this. This teacher is the worst teacher at delta college. Like i don't know how to express it. i didn't get bad grade i literally left and took different teacher...for example i watched this man ridicule students for not knowing something. If you don't capitalize I its a 0
He was by far one of the worst teachers I have ever had. After a hiccup with the online system, it appeared I had not turned in just ONE assignment. Not multiple, but a single assignment. He dropped me from the class the next day without warning. He refused to hear me out, and after a batch of condescending emails, he ceased communication with me.
Here's some advice: If you're signed up for this class, get out while you still can. But before you do, read the syllabus. It's a dozen pages of bolded, underlined and italicized ranting that's sure to delight (and reinforce your decision to drop). The guy is a total sperglord, and I've never dealt with a more condescending professor in my life.
If you don't have a good work ethic do not take his class. There are quizzes every week along with discussion boards and a huge portfolio project due at the end of the semester. His comments at time are very rude. However, he knows A LOT about what he teaches. You have to be willing to spend 2-3 hours for every credit hour if you want to pass.
He does not care about his students. He replies to your emails with nothing more than an emoticon when you're looking for an answer. He grades based on his opinion and not your actual work. He made a mistake when grading something of mine and then chose to give me this answer "Well what does it matter, your grade is staying the same." Avoid him.
Do everything his way or fail this class. Extremely rude and unprofessional. I asked him a question and he didnt give me the time of day, didnt even look me in the eye. Cuts you off when youre speaking and has no respect for students. Homework is due on Saturdays, also.
This class was very tough to take on line. The teacher did not help at all. He took a long time to answer back emails.
Take this class with ANY other teacher besides him. He's rude and the amount of work assigned is WAY too much for what the class is.
A lot of information and high expectancy for a course that was a pre-req
Took this class because I had to as a pre-req. He came off extremely abrasive in his e-mails and syllabus. He expects his online students to work more than a face-to-face class. If you don't do your assignment in 7 days he automatically drops you. I had a B in his class and missed one week because of illness and he dropped me without warning.
WARNING: Take any professor besides him. I have never come across a professor more willing to see his students fail. He is extremely rude and expects too much from a 100-level pre-requisite class.
Worst teacher that I've had, do NOT take him if you want to fail I barely passed. Quizzes every week&discussion boards, no gum in class, no cell phones, no food. Did not care for the way he taught. Notes every single day&have to do a group project and had to volunteer 15 hours for a political campaign.
Pros: Course is not bad, more students need this class just for self growth of how the government works, professor is very fast to post your grades. Cons: Discussion boards due every saturday, Tests weekly, 15 hour volunteer project, disrespectful professor, material tested is random (not what you would be expecting). Professor does not care.
Extra credit was offered, I did every one. In the final week, I noticed that some points were dropped or not added at all! Keep track! Also, he is not very approachable. If you have an issue (and proof) he makes things a little difficult. He is NEVER wrong! Just do the work on time, use examples on discussions, and try to avoid needing his help.
DO NOT TAKE HIM. I had to drop this class simply because of the professor. Through his notes you can tell that his opinion on the politics you discuss affect the grade you will get. Exam included questions like How many presidents were divorced? How many were Christians? Does not teach the political system, teaches his opinion of secular politics.
He was not clear on what he expected from his projects and exams. He made the test almost impossible to pass. Sadly, I was really looking forward to this class. I had to withdraw.
Here's the thing with Boudrot, if you do what you're asked the class isn't a problem. Do the discussion posts, do the readings and do the projects. His teaching method is skewed in the sense that he's very opinionated and brings that into the classroom. Prepare to think way to the left for 12 weeks or so. Overall, he teaches well, would take again.
His exams are two essay questions. He's a tough grader. You have to be extremely specific with everything. And he assigns you a big assignment to do that is so confusing and if you ask him for help he just sends you pieces of the syllabus.
Very harsh grading on exams which are in essay format, be ready to be an grammar expert. Special project has a harsh grading system as well no room for any mistakes. Discussion boards are pointless and tests are timed with the things that are least memorable of chapter readings.
This class had a civic engagement project, which was a great learning experience! As long as you do the work and don't make any spelling errors you will be ok. He's big on spelling and grammar!!! Expect to do lots and lots of reading and writing! He's an easy grader. If you want to do well on the 2x weekly quizzes and 2 exams, better take NOTES!
Professor Boudrot is a great instructor and an easy grader! 2 things for you to remember with his courses: 1) Spelling and grammar counts! and 2) Taking notes is essential for passing quizzes and exams! We had a civic engagement project and I received full credit for mine. There is A LOT of reading and writing!
A lot of homework. I have had to spend 6 to 7 hours outside of class each week on mostly homework, have done little studying because my time is spent doing irrelevant essays.
Prof. Boudrot is one of the toughest professors I've had at Delta. I could easily spend 5 to 6 hours weekly studying for his test and quizzes and in/out of class assignments and still get an average grade. His classes are NOT for slackers.
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASSES!!!! Has no respect. Is very unprofessional!! If he didn't have tenure, I can't imagine he would be around much longer!
Worst professor! He is very rude. Does not help students. I am surprised he is still a professor at Delta! Someone needs to get him out of here! I am usually an A, B student but in his class I am failing already. His quizzes are extremely hard and his tests are essays! Get ready to write nonsense. He is a HARD grader and wants his students to fail.
I dropped out halfway in the semester. Failing grades for every assignment, regardless of the effort that was put into them. He has unrealistic expectations for study times. He loves to make students feel stupid. The worst professor I've ever encountered.
Do not take his class, he is not a good professor. He is a tough grader, a lot of homework, and his homework is hard to understand. You have weekly quizzes over what you learned in class through out the week. He talks fast at times so its hard to understand what he is saying. He is also disorganized at time and you have to work for your grade.
Don't take this class if you dont like to do the work! Yes there is a lot of work, but it is truly worth it! This is one manditory pre-req were you learn something that will HELP you in life and you will take what you learn with you for life! He is passionate about politics and because of this, its easy to learn from him! I loved it!
He is really passionate about what he teaches. However he's a super tough grader on quizzes, group projects, 15 hour project where you have to be as detailed as you possibly can, and he can be all over the place at times. One of the hardest classes I've taken.
He makes you work for your grade. I did the online class, he started off a total jerk but toward the end of semester he got way better, was actually kind of cool. He is a very tough grader. Tests are only 20 minutes long. He expects you to read a lot and study hard! Wouldn't take him again though! Hardest class so far!
Provided extra credit opportunities and was good about replying to emails quickly. Notes provided sometimes wouldn't open, tough grader with timed test, and tons of reading. One of the harder classes I have taken at Delta, but can be passed if you love reading. Two logins per week were also required or you would be dropped.
Horrible organization. Unclear guidelines on major assignment. Fairly accessible, but clearly not ready for online course teaching.
I took POL 103 Online with Mr. Boudrot. I thoroughly enjoyed this class. I did it in the spring so there was a lot of work but it was very easily outlined. Tests were easy if you printed his notes. He communicates well and is always available for questions. I don't care for Political Science and I got a 4.0 in this class.
He lacks common courtesy in his communication skills and treats students like nuisances rather than individuals. I found him flaky and hard to follow. Tests were often based on his written opinion rather than textbook. I was warned to drop his class at semester start and I regretted not doing so.
He is kind of crazy, but he isn't that bad. He definitely makes you work for a good grade. Be ready to go to every class and take notes. You'll have quizzes every week and you will work in an assigned group every day of class.
He's really jumpy, literally. he cant stay in one place. His lectures are interesting, but he has quizzes every week and they really bring your grade down, even if you study. He grades tough.
He is very enthusiastic about what he teaches. You can tell he really loves it! Yes, at times he was a little TOO crazy, but it made class funny. You have quizzes every week, but it's just on the notes the day before. You have to work hard to get a good grade. I got a 98% because I read and did the Civic Engagement proj. Get ready to put in work!:)
Do not take this class. The amount of information that he expects you to know for each quiz is ridiculous. His quizzes have questions over the least important points of the entire chapter. He is very rude and he does not have good teaching ettiquite! This is especially bad since it is a politics class where there are many different opinions.
Awful, just awful. Heartless man, thinks he is funny, has no remorse for computer glitches. I spend countless hours studying each week, to only have a C. Would not recommend...
I don't recommend anyone to take this professor. He is very harder grader for only being a 3 credit class. Tests and quizzes are hard and not given enough time. He will have more than two quizzes due a week and doesn't have clear instructions on the final exam.
Piled on group projects and never cut anyone any slack. can't be a single minute late or you fail the daily quiz
Before I took this class, the reviews on this site scared me really badly. However, after taking this class, I realized that he was not the issue at all. I emailed him a few times, and he was always so kind. However, his class was kind of difficult. Not a class where all the answers are on Quizlet.
Terrible, would not recommend taking a class instructed by this professor! He gives a lot of tests and homework and for the tests and quizzes he doesnt give you a enough time; the information on the quizzes doesnt match what the chapters where about! Ended up dropping this class because I knew there wasnt a chance of getting a passing grade!
He is an awful instructor who I believe enjoys making it difficult to pass the class. His grading is inconsistent and harsh. He is sarcastic and thinks that his opinion is the correct one so if you dont share the same one beware. I do not recommend him.
Extremly hard. No direction. Has a lot of personal opinion uncooperated into class
Lots of quizzes, two per week even on exam weeks. He isnt clear on instructions. You have to read his emails, notes, links, and watch videos to pass the class (with no lectures to help). You also have to do a political engagement project that he isnt specific about. This should not be a level 100 class or online. I warn you do not take his class.
Very opinion based. Must meet his opinion for him to agree with you. Childish professor. Too many quizs and test and theyre weak questions. Very hard to answer. Very little actuall work. Not much effort from the prof, most of his teaching is done from his own knowledge not from the course materials. Not worth purchasing the book as it wont help.
He is tough but fair, he is old fashioned and you will work. I had a baby in the middle of the semester and he omitted all work from the week for me and didn't penalize my grade. He is wonderful, print all of his material out from online and keep it in a folder and his testing will be much easier to prepare for. READ WHAT HE PRESENTS!
I see nothing has changed with him. I took his class back in 2011. For a 3 credit class, I spent almost 2 hours a day on his work, until halfway through the semester. I was taking 12 credits at the time. His class felt like a full 12 credits alone. I later found out, 9 people in my class dropped. Almost half the class. Terrible, terrible professor.
He grades on his opinions. If your opinion doesn't align with his... good luck! Honestly the worst professor I've ever had. If you can avoid him, do.
Professor Boudrot was actually a very nice teacher. He is very old fashioned and if you expect no work and to have it easy in the class, you'd be sadly mistaken. It is a lot of work, but if you are dedicated, you will pass. Political science is not my favorite, but this class made it tolerable for me.
Only grades based on his opinion. Will mark you down for the smallest things. Gives you quizzes and essay the same week as an exam. Would avoid this prof at all cost. You could get one thing wrong on a DB and he will give you an F. The essay topics are very hard.
I took 5 classes this semester all ending in a B- & up & this is the only class that I got a F in, not even a passing grade. All about quizzes & tests. I had the book right in front of me after hours of studying & still failed them. Very opinion based & makes you feel like he wants you to fail. I will be on SAP for FASFA now because of this class.
Anything I learned was in spite of him, not because of him. If I wanted a 12-week course in Liberal Theory I would have taken a separate class. I was just there to learn about state and local governments, not endure 3 months of political reeducation.
This class was very hard for me as I did not understand the subject. American Politics is not my cup of tea. For my class, we had to read a chapter a week, take a quiz, and a test, which in my case was all online. This class was very stressful and I would not recommend this professor. In my opinion, he is very arrogant.
He was very heavy set on his own views. He was very nice other than that. A lot of extra credit! I ended with like 103%, but his quizzes were never based on the main idea or even background ideas, they were always very, very hidden in the text. Very easy to miss information. Should have been considered a 4-credit class.
Mr. Boudrot is very old fashioned and expects you to work for your grade. Two quizzes every week LOTS of reading and gathering information on your own. I struggled because of this but was still able to pass because i followed exact instructions on the journals and did well on my exams. He also drops your two worst grades to help your final score.
Everything from emailing to taking test is graded. I never emailed him, due to being too scared to get points taken off that I couldn't afford.
Do not take this class unless you want to fail. Horrible professor. There's 2 Quizzes on exam week. He grades spelling mistakes on e-mails if you ask him a question yet he makes the same grammatical errors. I would stay away from this class.
He insists you email him if you have any questions but when you do, he will respond and talk to you like you're an idiot. Multiple assignments, quizzes, journals, and tests all in one week. Spent hours on an extra credit assignment and he emailed me back and basically said, "thanks for trying."
Me personally I did not like him at all. He does not explain assignment throughly. Everything is based off the syllabus and he is EXTREAMLY political.
I think Professor Bourdrot is good! Im a dual enrollment student( means I take a college course while in high school). So he has you read a chapter a week, then 2 quizzes over one from the book and one from weekly notes, and then an exam every 3 chapters. Also Pol journals. DO NOT PROCRASINATE! He is very nice, use proper email etiquette.
EVERYTHING is graded even the grammar in emails you send him. Extremely hard to keep up in class if you are dual enrolled. No directions. He states "pace yourself" but proceeds to give you no time to do anything. The test are twice a week even on exam weeks. RUN as fast as you can away from this class if you have multiple classes and work. No time.
Professor Boudrot has changed his method of teaching tremendously. One quiz and one writing per week. He is very quick to respond to emails and very quick to grade his papers. Some of the papers are a bit tough but if you are really struggling on one you only have to do 8 out of the 12. Highly recommend him!
This professor does not teach this class to allow for freedom of thought. He pushes his opinions and expects you to agree or your grades will suffer. He is rude and unfair. He is unrealistic. There is too much material to possibly remember for a 30 minute test each week. His timing is unrealistic. He isn't concerned about teaching or learning.
Professor Boudrot is an ok professor. No lectures, all learning was to be done through online textbook and powerpoint. Two timed quizzes a week. He is very picky with his grading. If you take notes, read all the information provided, read directions, and double check your work you will pass the class.
This man hasn't changed one bit. If you view politics the same as him, you will get an A in the class. If you see things differently though forget it you might as well drop because he will make your life very difficult in his class. Run far away from this man.
Directions were not very clear. Often gave questions that are open-ended, then corrected them based on his own beliefs. Don't mind him just not very easy to navigate. Tough grader.
If you want to take a class on how to be a liberal, sign up:) This professor pushes his opinions on you, and his entire class is used to bash Donald Trump. Save yourself time and do not take this class.
worst professor to step food into the world, pushing his agenda on you and doesn't believe a government website is a correct source.
When people say don't take him, they mean it. His class is one of the most dropped out class for a reason. He is so opinionated and pushes his agenda, while marking you off if you don't agree with him. He is not very sympathetic and clearly has no passion to teach. All I have to say is that I warned you. Please do not take this class.
Do not take this professor. He is extremely opinionated. As someone who is a moderate, I was astonished to see how biased he was. He is extremely liberal in his teachings. He tal
I have never left a bad review for any teacher at Delta College, as my experience has been fantastic. However, Mr. Boudrot is the exception, he is an unkind, abrasive man who lacks basic empathy. I would not recommend him to anyone EVER. If Mr. Boudrot were the only option for any given section, I would transfer schools.
Never in my life have I had a professor who gaslighted me, made me feel stupid, and accused me of despising him. His grading reflected that he rushed, topics were hidden from students (before I notified the Dean), and there was no grading rubric or clear communication of how points were removed until I asked and was threatened with misconduct.
If you're a liberal you'll pass this class with flying colors. Don't recommend whatsoever. You could be the smartest person in the world, but if he gets a hint that you're republican, he'll pick out everything with your homework etc. Not gonna lie he was a nice guy, but he pushed his thoughts way too much, he was going to try to change ur thoughts
I did not like the way that the class was taught; the directions for the papers were not clear, and there was no rubric. He has this weird obsession with grammar as if he were an English teacher. You lose points per misspelling, and even if your emails have spelling errors, you will lose points. I would not recommend this class for anyone.
He doesn't like to be corrected when he is clearly wrong (and shown evidence). Obsessively worried about students using outside sources including google scholar. Writes anti trump manifestos weekly (I don't like trump either but he's scary about it)
The worst professor I've had in my collegiate career. Very biased left wing opinion. Thinks his class is the only class students have. Should not be aloud to be a professor at an institution. Terrible education schedule, never thinks he wrong.
I have never experienced such a bad professor in my life. The lack of professionalism and the insane biases is insane. He pushes his opinion and beliefs and that is the only opinion. If you disagree you fail. He also expects you to respond to emails anytime of any day in the week. I truly don't know how he is allowed to be a professor.
This professor is discouraging and unhelpful. His feedback is harsh, making students feel inadequate. No outside sources, not even the textbook, are allowed—violations earn an automatic zero. Asking for clarification is pointless, as he responds condescendingly. If you must take this class, find a different professor. Not worth the stress or tears.
Great guy, responds promptly to questions and concerns, good humor.
Never take this class. This is a man child that refuses to believe anything except for the small bit of media that he consumes. Mind you I didn't open a single textbook for this class and I would have a B in this class if I remembered to take the mid term. Use ChatGPT and you can breeze through if you are online. If you are in person you're boned.
This was one of the MOST draining classes I have ever taken. The workload was not a lot, but there was just so much to remember and the professor is extremely tough on grading, instructions are very well written but very tough to understand sometimes. I would not take this class again if my life depended on it.
This guy is kind of all over the place, but if you pay attention and attend class you can pass.
He does not explain course work. He does not go into more detail even when asked, he states this all over his course. He will give you a horrible grade if your political opinions differ, which is crazy from a government teacher. He also removes all notes and chapter information from the course at end of week and puts it all on final exam. NOT GOOD!
DO NOT TAKE HIS CLASS! He is extremely left winged and will push it onto you until you agree with him. If your opinions differ your grade will reflect it! All exams are essay format, he is obsessed with grammar, gives no study material! He failed me on an essay when I gave republican opinions, passed with flying colors when I used liberal opinions!
He has strong liberal political views, and if your opinions align with his, you may find the class easier. This can make students with opposing views feel uncomfortable and excluded. If you value fair, unbiased grading and an environment where diverse opinions are respected, you may want to consider another professor.
His grading approach is frustratingly dependent on AI detection tools . This over-reliance on AI detection, which is prone to false positives, undermines the value of your actual work and can create unnecessary stress.
Way to far left political
worse professor I've had so far during my time at delta.
This has been the only bad experience I have had with a professor at Delta. His political opinions are heavy handed and often have nothing to do with the course material. Though the biggest problem is the inconsistency. Even If you try to give him what he wants he gives bizarre grades. One week an A and the next a D-. For the same work.
Inconsistent following of the rubric set forth from the beginning of class. TRB
This was my only bad experience at Delta. He was rude and condescending, and accused my whole project of being AI even though the class sources showed 0 percent. He focuses more on catching AI than teaching. I would never retake him or recommend him. I've emailed my advisor and will report him to the dean after this term is over.
