Honestly, one of the best professors ever. He curves the grades so an 85% gives you an A and then he even curves Bizcafe and the exams. I mean what more can you ask for? The information covered is really interesting and fun if you want to be successful in business. Great professor!

He posts lectures online but I recommend going to class. If you show up every day its so easy youll barely have to study. Skip often & create a lot of work if you want to pass. Tests were easy for me, but a lot of skippers failed so bad he had to massively curve it just to give them a D. Easy class overall. Dont use textbook, just lectures

Okay professor, easy class as long as you do the work: provides study guides and practice exams for the tests, has notes on the PowerPoint that help you for tests, and A is an 84%. Don't bother getting the book. I didn't really learn from BizCafe but it's easy enough. Class was really boring, and you could even see that from the students who went.

Let me put it this way, 80% in the class is an A, 70% is a B. 4 tests worth 60 points each and the HW is a joke. Class isn't mandatory but this class was pretty easy (except for the tests but that doesn't matter)

Thomas is a really interesting teacher and has really inspired me to take up Marketing as my major. Class is insanely easy to pass!!!! 80% and above is an A.

MKT210 was a super fun class. I really enjoyed it and Burnham really knew what he was talking about. There are participation points everyday, so if you never go to class you're going to have a problem. Do the readings and you'll do much better. For tests, study off the power points and the study guide/questions he gives you.

Professor Burnham is very knowledgeable about marketing and is passionate about the subject. His lectures are long and boring and attendance is required. His tests are extremely hard and require you to know many vocabulary terms. This was my least favorite class I've has in college so far and I thought I wanted to be a marketing major.

I'd recommend reading the textbook before class, class makes MUCH more sense if you do; he thinks that the lectures are to supplement the reading. He does well covering all the topics in the slides, which are posted online. You must go to class to get participation points through answering questions on your phone. I'd recommend to my friends.

Thomas does a wonderful job at making this course interesting and does his best to distinguish the terms, since most of them sound very similar. He uses Learning Catalytics which he does use for points, but attendance is not required. I would highly suggest taking his course.

Amazing teacher. He's clear on what he wants you to learn. His grading system is amazing and his class overall is pretty easy if you stay on track.

Lectures are quite simple to grasp. May not go into much detail in regards to certain topics, but will talk about the importance of the marketing tactic and will give an example to go along with it. Be ready to use Learning Catalytics (like a clicker question system), they count for participation points and they are graded as an assignment as well

Professor Burnham is a great teacher. The class is hard in general so don't expect an easy A. There are multiple assignments at once so you have to be prepared to work. He knows a lot about marketing since he has started many businesses. Take him!

I nearly never read a thing for this class, which is why it was slightly difficult to me. I will say that when I had read, it was very simple and lectures made a lot more sense. But also lectures were harder to be interested in, I think because of the large size of the class. His grading scale does make it a lot easier to keep an A.

Overall, it's pretty easy to get an A if you do the work and make the note cards for the exams. An 84% is an A so if you put forth even moderate effort you'll be fine.

You don't have to show up to class but I recommend that you do, his lectures help and are interesting. Reading the textbook will help you out on the homework which you should make sure to do good on. He lets you use a note card for the exams, which as long as you do the homework and try to pay attention in class, aren't so bad. Great professor.

Burnham is good. Lectures get boring after a while, but nonetheless he is very knowledgeable about the subject. Material is easy. I never lifted a finger the entire semester and "passed" the tests (67%). Homework is easy (it gives you the answers if you pay attention). The only thing i would say is research bizcafe before you play it.

One of THE easiest classes you'll ever take. An 84% is an A in the class. He uses a point system for the grades, so nothing is weighted. Once you get to 420 points, ironically, you'll get a rock hard stone of an A. So if you study hard for the first 3 midterms and show up to class for the participation points, you could possibly skip the final exam

Awesome Teacher!!!!!! Go to his office hours ! I saw some guy down here saying that he doesn't care about students, like it's just impossible to remember 400 students in your class. You also have to put effort . The class is really easy, there is lots of reading but they are very interesting. Make sure to do the games more than once if you are able

He's probably my favorite professor I've had this semester. He's really funny, so his lectures are interesting, and he definitely knows what he's talking about. As long as you read the textbook, take notes, and go to class, it's an easy A. He also uses the Canadian grading scale, so an 83% is an A.

His class is an easy, but make sure to show up for participation points. He knows his stuff and there aren't many tests. You should pay attention to the powerpoint slides and make sure you do all the my marketing lab quizzes. Keep up on discussions and you are set. Great class, but not the most interesting! He is overall a nice professor.

Burnham is a great guy and did a pretty good job with our class of like 400 kids. using forgiving grading scale (80% A-) but don't let that encourage you to slack off because the tests arent the easiest, and theres a lot of short little assignments that add up quick. You use MyLab to do homework and in-class questions on short articles. There's a lot of points and anything above an 84 is an A (80 for A-). You can bring a note card for tests. Study guide and practice tests are super helpful. Lectures can be boring but he is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Pretty good for a class with 400+ kids.

Dr. Burnham is a great professor and very knowledgeable in his field. He runs a great class and has a wonderful grading system and it makes it extremely easy to get an A. 10/10 would recommend.

Prof. Burnham is a pretty good professor. The lectures are easy to follow and there is homework every week but easy. His exams weren't too bad either and he gives you a study guide. The bizcafes were a little challenging for me, but overall it was a good class.

You have a weekly (14) quiz, 6 Bizcafe games, 4 exams including the final, and 6 discussions. Overall it's pretty evenly divided. He tries to help you as much as he can without giving you the answer. He's pretty lecture heavy and does participation points on learning catalytics. An 80% is an A- and it looks super easy but study cause exams suck.

This class is a requirement for business students and it was definitely one of my easier ones. I didn't study at all and still managed to pass with an A (Burnham uses a Canadian grading system which means a B an A). Mainly just showed up to do the quizzes he had in class everyday based on the readings. Don't bother buying the textbook.

Professor Burnham is a pretty cool professor. He was definitely born to be a marketing professor. He is very knowledgeable and caring about the subject. The lectures are not bad at all, its kind of like a big sales pitch from him. He does daily questions during lecture for participation points which is a big part of your grade.

Great professor! He does participation points every class but he posts all the slides. There are three midterms and the final but they are doable.

Professor Burnham is energetic and charismatic, which makes his lecture much more enjoyable, constantly engaging the whole hall. Attendance and participation is taken through an online program, which technically doesn't require you being there but class is enjoyable enough you should go anyways. Tests are not fun but grades easy- 100% recommend

You have articles to read before class and he asks you question on these articles through learning catalytics for participation, its truly quite simple and easy. All work is done through MyLab and a game known as BizCafe grading is very easy and he offers extra credit during class as well small assignments/campus activities later in the semester.

One of my favorite teachers this semester. His signature "Good Afternooooon" is the best part of the lecture because a class of three hundred always screams back. If you pay attention this class is an easy A. Homework is easy and BizCafe is fun. Great teacher cannot recommend enough.

There's surprisingly a lot of freshman in this class which explains for all the downvotes on positive ratings. He gives you all the tools you need to succeed: Study guides, posted powerpoints, extra credit. Like for all other college classes, read the textbook. 98% of the exam material is covered by the text. GOOD AFTERNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOON. I have to believe that anyone complaining didn't put in much effort at all. Not only does an 84% or more count as an A, he offers E.C. and TONS of easy points. Exams are not cake, but I did pretty well and just used his practice exams & Pearson Dynamic Study. Go to class for 3 points if you answer questions right.

Burnham is a really funny and passionate guy and gives a lot of great stories and situations that can apply to real world marketing. And I know it's a really big lecture hall but please contain your students and set some rules!! When he lectures it's really informative and useful but he seems to not care that people cause many distractions.

Fairly enjoyable class with a light work load. The only tuff thing is his connection to the students, but he dose his best for a class of 400.

Professor Burnham is one of the most amazing lecturers I have ever had. Enthusiatic, well organized, and ties in real life examples, including his own comapny, into the class. On canvas the course is extremely well organized and is broken into individual days with intsructions on what needs to be done each day.

I thought this class was pretty solid - I ended up enjoying the business game we played throughout the semester though I dreaded it at first. There are class participation points so you have to show up every day to get those points as they pile up fast. All around, a solid choice for the only marketing class they offer at UNR

Professor Burnham is a great teacher! You should take his MKT 210 class if you can. There is a fair amount of reading that is a part of the daily participation, make you your read so you don't lose points. The exams are decent and spread out into 4 exam so not too many chapters at once. Overall, good class!

He's a great guy and his passion for teaching is off the charts. Always accessible by email and after class. An 84% is an A. 4 tests total. A LOT of busy work outside of class. Fun time! Grades by points, so easy A. I don't like to read much, but still managed to hold my A, so you can tell how relax and easy this class would be. Pay attention to his lecture, as it basically self-explains the key parts involved in this course and exam. BizCafe projects and Learning Catalytics class participation are SUPER FUN!

Professor Burnham is amazing! His lectures are interesting, and he makes the class fun. There are daily quizzes, and a lot of "busy work", but if you pay attention his class is an easy A. He is really helpful and cares about students' opinions. He is fair with grading and wants to see everyone succeed. Would definitely recommend him.

Easy class if you don't get lazy, there are daily quizzes that make up a lot of your grade but they aren't hard. There are short papers due every 2-3 weeks that aren't hard and can be group projects.

Awesome professor! Even with a classroom of up to 420 people, he managed to keep us engaged and gave extra credit for participation. There are no tests in this class, just projects that you are able to do with a group of up to 3 people. The majority is peer-graded and grading is very fair. Marketing 210 was honestly my favorite class this semester. Professor Burnham was awesome and I learned so much about the science of marketing. There are no exams in the class, just group projects and a simulated coffee shop business. He does in class quizzes everyday so attendance is mandatory. It's an easy A as long as you do the work and show up

This professor was heavy on hw but fun in lecture. He gave group assignments, which helped with the course load, but along with it he assigned reading AND video lectures. He tracked attendance through tophat, and the grading of your assignments was peer based, so the score you were gonna get was basically based on how hard your peer graded.

Tommy Burnham is a great guy. However, this is a flipped class so be prepared to at least read some of the material. Theres a few assignments a week but most you can do with a partner. Overall, I'd take him again.

Prof. Burnham has been one of my favorite professors here. A lot of the outside material he has assigned is optional, so its just if you need a better understanding. Also, yes there are essays, but in place of tests, which actually helps you understand the material better anyways. And he is bald, cool

Professor Burnham is an experienced professional and demonstrates that in his teaching. He shares plenty valuable experiences in business and marketing. The assignments genuinely build skill by doing, not just reading. My only complaint is the large class size. I would highly reccomend his class to anybody pursuing a business major.

Professor Burnham is a pretty cool guy. His lecture structure is different as he expects you to watch up to 1-3 hours of pre-recorded lectures and uses class time to go over the videos. This increases the workload as it can effectively double the work. However no final and all projects are group work and peer-graded so take it with a grain of salt.

Wonderful professor. No exams/final. A few group projects (not that bad). The biggest workload was the textbook reading/videos you had to watch before class for mini quizzes. Does extra credit through participation. Fun guest speakers.

Was a great professor only thing is that a lot of the project are graded by students and that made it feel like I didn't know if I was correctly doing the project. Other than that a great teacher that knows what he is talking about and is very passionate.

I loved this class,my favorite all semesters and definitely the least stressful. There are 5 group assignments but easy to divide up the work. No exams! He redid the course to contain no exams due to the classical last minute cramming. Spring 2022 for MKT 210 was very large, over 400 students. Be prepared for large course. I do recommend Bunrham

Professor Burnham is a true professional in the field of marketing. He was a lead executive in the past, and his experience is shown through his lectures. The homework is relatively easy with a group project every once and awhile. You don't have to read the textbook but it certain helps with in the in-class participation quizzes.

He was very nice and a great teacher. There were no finals or mid terms, only chapter quizzes and projects that were easy once you got the hang of it. He loves participation and interaction. He gives lots of opportunities for extra credit, so take it if you can.

Tophat for quizzes is bad when comes to internet and peerceptive is probably not the best use as it is graded by students and not the professor. But classes are entertaining, He has many guest speakers who talk about irl marketing, I like playing bizcafe which is assignments that simulate running a cafe, no exams, and the textbook is free!

Good professor, pretty good class. Lots of smaller assignments, no exams, participation is key. Gives lots of warning for due dates and there is some extra credit. Pretty engaging professor. There are required videos and reading before class that you are quizzed on. Go to class and keep up to date on the homework and you should do well!

He was a great professor. No final exam and his lectures are interesting and engaging. He uses something called peerceptiv which has other students read and grade your papers which can be very hit or miss. I once wrote a paper I and 2 others thought was great, but since 1 of the 3 graders apparently thought it was bad, I lost a lot of points.

Great professor, funny guy. He gives extra credit through marketing surveys, the CoB career fair, etc. Peerceptiv = lots of writing, but if you find a good group it's not bad. Bizcafe = fun, free points if you pay attention to the tips he gives during the lectures. You have to read/watch material outside of class. Hard to fail this class imo.

No tests, in this class group projects every couple of weeks which peers and little assignments grade in between. Use tophat for attendance and do quizzes throughout the class.

This class was overall very easy. There were no tests, just online chapter quizzes, lectures, and bigger group "essay like" assignments. The bigger assignments do take a lot of time, but if you start on them a couple days before they're due you'll be fine. He is a very interactive lecturer. He will call you out or stare at you if you're talking.

Funny guy and caring about his lectures. Offers a lot of extra credit. Only class I really enjoyed going to. Gives out bonus points for just raising your hand and talking to him or answering his questions. No mid terms or finals. Paper heavy (but it's so easy) and group work is offered for them. I'd recommend him a million times.

Interesting class with lots of smaller assignments. Professor is engaging, but the attendance-based quizzes and student-graded work can be hit-or-miss. Thankfully, tools like Unstuck study made studying more efficient.

A lot of the assignments are really long papers graded by your peers, which sometimes sucks but also doesn't. He tends to throw things at you the week they're due, such as 8 page papers on Monday due on Wednesday, but they're easy-ish. Lots of info in lectures, lots of dedication of time outside class but hes an interesting guy with engaging lectrs

Professor Burnham is one of the kindest and most attentive teachers on campus; he goes out of his way to create a productive and engaging classroom. NO EXAMS, just papers throughout the semester along with quizzes and a simulation project. Easy A if you get all your assignments done, for those who enjoy writing this class will be a breeze.

THE UNR Marketing Professor. Quality lectures, but are boring at times. Assignments are straight forward and have clear deadlines when you start the semester.

This class was by far the most entertaining class that I had this semester. The grading criteria, assignment and class agenda were very clear. Professor Burnham is very animated and fun to listen to. He puts a lot of work into his lectures and the class assignments. There are daily reading and videos to watch before class that you are quizzed on.
