Cannon is simply the best professor in the college of business. Why? Cause you actually learn something in his class. He really makes you feel like your getting your money's worth, and is helpful in providing jobs/internships for students who ask.

You'll have quizzes once a week, but NO tests (except for a final). Quizzes are not hard, as long as you go to class. There are also some case studies and a project. He's a really great professor.

Dr. Cannon is awesome. He is very interesting and you actually learn in his class. His quizzes are easy and so are his tests. He tells you what is going to be on them. Just make sure you elaborate well on the case studies, but they aren't too hard.

Easy A-Take quiz each Monday over each chapter-just study power points. Follow each section in each chapter on case studies-easy A!

One of the best teachers I have ever had. He is an easy A and you learn a lot in his class. The material is extremely useful and he really cares about his students. You will definately learn a lot and enjoy being in his class!

Cannon is a great prof. But you will have to work in his class. You must attend his class to get the blanks on the powerpoint slides or have someone you can get the notes off of to do well on quizzes. Also I would agree he is hard on giving points,but work hard at the beginning and u'll get an (A). His take hm final is very similar to his quizzes.

Great teacher! Nice guy, and the class was interesting. Easy class, but not a complete blow off. You work alittle bit, but it's easy work and you don't really realize you are working. Tests are straight forward. I took him in a mini-mester and he still wasn't bad. I would take him again.

I've had him for two classes & He's not bad, he's really smart, but you have to do a lot of work for his classes. There is always something due like a quiz, case-study, or other. If you show up and do the assignments, you'll get an A. I got an A, but I did all except one of the assignments. Also if you're a lady it'll be easier for you!

Good Professor. Work hard at the quizzes. Good class , no curves, every point earned is a point earned so make sure every quiz assignment and tests count.

Dr. Cannon is a great Prof. He knows what he's talking about, and he just ultimately cares for his students. Overall easy class if you show up, but do show up because there is no extra credit available. Would definately take him again.

Attendence is manditory! This class provides great insight to help those of us who are actually going to be business owners after college. Without good marketing strategies your business will not flourish. Go to class, take notes, and review the notes before the exams. You will do fine.

Great teacher and great class. No tests all the quizes count for 5% of your grade. Quizes arent easy but about an hour before class worth of studying for each one got me an A in the class. He is very knowledgeable and helps you out every chance he gets. Dresses like a bad ass

really great professor, he has a lot of experience in the profession so he knows what he is talking about. has a lot of assignments but it is all helpful practice for your future profession. he brings in great guest speakers too (get their cards/email them, may be helpful connections later on). great class!!!!

very good teacher. a lot of assignments, but they are not hard. 6 quizzes (40 questions each), drops lowest. Class was common sense to me, never read the chapters and passed the tests with high B's. Takes attendance and if you miss a guest speaker, its points off your final grade.

Attendance is a must. He is a good professor, the class is easy (simple quizzes, case studies and surveys) no exams. But the hardest part is the presentation. He expects a lot from the presentation, but he would tell you what he wants.

Class focuses on teaching you how to open and operate your own business while dealing with all the legalities behind it. Weekly online quizzes over book/lecture material. There are also 1-2 questions every class which must be answered with an iClicker. 100 total pts in the class so every pt counts. No EC or curves; 5+ absences drops grade 1 point.

Dr. Cannon is very straight forward with his expectations and his grading. The class is out of 100 points, 10 are allocated to attendance and in class iclicker questions, the other 90 are 9 online quizzes that are STRAIGHT from the lectures, textbook and the guest lectures. Go to class and work with classmates on the quizzes and you'll do fine.

Professor Cannon is an excellent teacher. Attendance is mandatory so show up to class in order to pass. I learned so much from his class, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn about Business Law.

Cannon was a great professor! Show up to class and listen. 1 to 2 questions in class for quizzes, which will also show up on your biweekly quiz as well. They are timed quizzes (10 mins added to # of questions), so if it's a 20 questions quiz you have 30 mins. Read the chapters before you quiz. Believe me, it will save you!

Took Cannon for Business Law and I watched his videos and passed the class with a B. Easy class if you read and watch the videos. Only quizzes and no test. No homework.

Good Class. MUST attend for iclicker quizzes. There is a group presentation where you sell a pen for the final. PRACTICE for it. 3 case homework assignments. A couple of online quizzes. Attendance is mandatory. Don't go to class, you'll fail.

Easy class as long as you do the work every week. Easy enough.

Took him online and was straight forward! Watch the videos, he lets you know which videos will be on the quizzes. 12 quizzes, no final, no homework. Easy B, and possible A if you put the effort. No extra credit. Not many questions on the quizzes so you need to do well, missing 3 or more on a quiz will effect your grade.

Great class! Would take again. Very easy A if you pay attention. Everything is very straight forward. He also works well with you if there is an emergency. I had to miss 2 1/2 weeks of school due to an accident that happened and he was awesome about it. Even missing that much class I managed to get a 99.6 in the class.

Every week you have a quiz to do thats over the lesson and that chapter of the textbook. Those quizzes are the only grades you get for the class. They're not super hard, but you do have to try. He is a really nice guy and always reminds you to talk to him if you ever need help. He's also interested in your life outside of school and your future.

HIs online class consists of 12 quizzes averaged together. You are assigned to rent/buy a text book and that combined with online videos is what you are quizzed over. The text book is easy to read and has SO MUCH useful information. The quizzes are not a piece of cake, but not to difficult if you just READ READ READ

12 quizzes for your entire grade. Don't bother looking online for answers, they are nowhere to be found!! *Almost ALL of the quiz answers will come WORD FOR WORD from the notes he posts in module*! Literally just study the notes from his module and you will make an A-B on every quiz. Probably 2-3 questions will come from the chapter reading.

4 super easy quizzes. A couple easy surveys, 3 really easy case studies that will take 5 minutes to complete and 2 presentations. Your grade will come down to how well you do in your group presentations. The entire class is structured around your two group presentations. Presentations are selling Dr. Cannon a Pen.

Grade is based on quiz grades. There is a lot of reading involved but it isn't too bad. Book and modules are informative and helpful for the quizzes. If you have any questions just email him. Optional quiz at the end of the semester will replace lowest quiz grade. You will be dropped from the class if you miss a certain amount of quizzes

On the online quizzes, you cannot move between questions. Once you click "next" that is your submitted answer. Other than that it was not a bad class. 90% quiz answers are from the modules, other 10% textbook. Textbook is also linked in his syllabus.

This class was not easy, but it also was not difficult. Just do the readings, review the modules, and you will be just fine.

Professor Thomas assigns chapters to read and he sends you a pdf to download to be able to read the chapter. When reading chapter its important to take notes for the weekly quiz. The quiz is not hard if you read. Overall his class was really good, just get ready to read.

Easyyy A. He takes attendance everyday with an iClicker. There are also easy pop quizzes during class. You record your answer with your iClicker app. You have to pay attention in class to be able to pass the pop quizzes and the online quiz assignments. Clear grading structure. Tells you EXACTLY what he wants. Do it and you will pass.

Dr. Cannon is a great professor. Although he can be strict with HW, you can only get a low grade if you don't follow the directions. He knows his stuff so listen and take notes. Follow his outlines and you will get an A for sure. Attendance is taken at the beginning and end. Don't skip bc you will lose points for attendance and in class quizzes.

Took BLW 3013 online and was somewhat challenging. Modules can be long at times with many videos to watch and sub-articles to read. I think it was just the terminology that was the tricky part of it all. Entire grade is from 12 quizzes, one for each module. Can take an optional 13th quiz that is cumulative that will replace the lowest grade

Really prepares you for the business world. Always willing to help a student understand and answer any questions they have.

Dr. Cannon is a great guy! He made the class simple and easy to follow. One quiz a week based on online modules and textbook readings. He provides a link to the free online textbook! Just read and watch the module videos and you will do great!

I absolutely loved this class! It was a little tough but doable. One quiz every week. Took me about 5 hours straight to go over the weekly material and quiz. Must pay attention to material. Class teaches you EXACTLY how to start a business and run it. You won't regret taking this class if you plan to own a business.

I did love taking Thomas Cannon for my marketing class since he felt as if he actually knew what he was teaching and he made it better to actually read the lectures. Be prepared to look through his lectures since that's all his questions on quizzes and test are on but if you pay attention, you will make A's or high B's.

Buy the textbook in pdf so you can have it with you after the class if you plan to start a business. One quiz every week and that's it. No final or midterm. Man Dr. Cannon might be one of the best professors I've ever had. He is super straight forward with the class design and the class is set up for you to get an easy A. Not only that but this class has helped me so much in the real world because I started my own small business. This guy is a true inspiration.

Very straight forward class, every week you have a quiz following the readings and softchalks. Softchalks are important, contain videos and sometimes an activity at the end but the information is right from both the softchalk and book readings. NO EXTRA CREDIT, but optional 13th quiz to replace lowest grade. Do the work, get a good grade.

His online class was very organized. There were readings every week followed by a short quiz. It did not take long at all to complete. His readings and videos that he included in his slideshows were very interesting. Easy A.

Taking this course online with Professor Cannon. About halfway through the year and I genuinely feel like I am learning a lot from him which is rare for a lot of online classes. He's really thorough without there being an overwhelming amount of work or reading to do. Includes lots of pictures and videos which is really helpful! Highly recommend.

Class was pretty straightforward. A couple questions based off the lecture for the week followed by a quiz going over the material. No final and quizzes were really easy. Definitely an easy class to get an A in. Would recommend taking this professor for marketing.

Dr. Cannon is a great professor and I would recommend any student, regardless of their business major, to take him for MKT 3063! The class was divided into super easy weekly online modules and quizzes, no final exam. He recommends the textbook, but I didn't purchase it and I was still able to get an A in the class. 10/10 would take him again!

If you don't plan to start a business, this class is VERY dry. No hw or exams. Only assignments are quizzes that are due weekly, but you can't see what you got incorrect unless you meet with the professor. LOTS of textbook reading (which was provided online for free), but modules walk you through it. Course is well structured and easy to navigate.

Best business professor I've ever taken. Each week a new module opens and has a couple lessons and two quizzes afterwards. Quizzes are stuff you learn from the module so very easy. I love how he uses Softchalk and how organized everything is. 10/10

Professor Cannon is actually the best. The content of his course is laid out in a functional and manageable format, which is extremely helpful. Professor Cannon is incredibly responsive to messages/emails and truly cares about his students. I highly recommend this class...seriously, take Professor Cannon!!!

Read the Lesson very carefully & take notes, all the quizzes take the questions directly from the material. Textbook was free and that was really nice

Amazing professor!! The course was set up extremely well. You have a whole week to complete the lesson and take a quiz after each module. All the questions were in the modules and the textbook. Would highly recommend taking this course!

The class is 12 quizzes (13 for extra credit). To get a decent score (80s - 90s) on the quizzes I got by on reading the modules and watching some of the videos, no need to read the book. Quizzes are about 30 questions in 30 minutes, some longer. The modules are usually about 25 short sections. Could've gotten an A if I didn't do things last minute

He grades off of 1,200 points. There is no final exam for this class. You are graded on 12 quizzes and there are embedded questions in each chapter lesson. There is a textbook that he gives out for free. All I have to say is if you take about an hour or so to do every chapter lesson you will do good on the quizzes.

Professor Cannon's course was amazing. I actually took this class as an elective. This class was really easy to understand only if you are willing to read, take notes, and do some research. Everything you'll learn is very beneficial. Take it, you won't regret it!

I took Dr. Cannon for Personal Selling as well and he is amazing. There is quite a bit of homework for BLW with weekly modules, however Dr. Cannon is responsive and helpful to messages. If you're able to allocate your time wisely, this class is definitely doable.

I took this course online and when he said "we only have a weekly quiz and no final" I thought this class was gonna be easy..boy was I wrong! Really interesting but SO lecture heavy be prepares to spend a lot of time reading. You can set up a call w the professor to discuss what you got wrong, but only extra credit is a 50 question replacement quiz

Class is very easy if you put in the effort. Reading the textbook is essential since some of questions on the weekly quizzes come straight from the textbook. There is one extra credit quiz he offers at the end of the semester. Overall, I would highly recommend this professor.

Dr. Cannon is a GREAT professor! He really cares about his students! Study the slides and do the reading and you'll do fine in the course. Gives excellent real world information to help you should you want to form your own business. He reviews your incorrect quiz answers every week if you want him to through Zoom! Highly recommend!

Graded by few things, no final, textbook can be found online/free Awesome Prof., loves what he teaches, very informative, and helpful! Be prepared to spend ~4hrs/week to really get what's being taught. Lots of reading but it's worth to put the effort in! At the end of the semester, there is an extra credit quiz to drop lowest graded if needed.

Great professor really cares for his students. Willing to host zoom meetings if needed for guidance,advice,etc. Involves the students in many ways in class. Super easy just go to class its just iclicker questions and quizzes online. However you will have to buy an expensive pen if taken this class in person. If its online no need for the pen.

Prof. Cannon set expectations and a clear schedule in advance. His experience made lectures more realistic. He uses soft chalk for lectures/videos with questions for points. There are quizzes that can use your notes. If I had time, I would have liked to take this class in person. Highly recommend.

Took him for professional selling, his class is very organized and straightforward. His lectures are interesting and insightful, and I like how the only assignments are quizzes at the end of each week. That being said, failing just one quiz will bring your grade down by a TON so just remember to study his slides. If you read everything, easy A.

Dr Thomas is very passionate and well educated on personal selling which makes the class fun and not too hard. Attendance is mandatory, if you go to class you shouldn't make anything less than an A in the class. Uses iClicker for attendance/ pop quizzes (they're easy if you pay attention).

Professor Cannon's class is pretty engaging, if you put in the work. The content is really interesting, but it does require consistent reading and preparation. Using resources like unstuck study alongside the textbook can really help with quiz prep. Overall, a worthwhile course.

This class is very easy, his lectures are easy to understand. There are two assignments due every week that should not take long to complete.

Other ratings are very accurate. It can also be very motivational. I was swamped throughout this semester, so it can be difficult to read. Most test questions come from the online book ( found in the UTSA library). Ended with a B, but could have done better if I had studied the book more. Attendance is mandatory and 50%.
