I loved my World Religion class! Professor Cason is both brilliant and funny. I would reccomend
not only was his class very well explained but he is also nice to look at!
Lectures, power point, lots of writing response papers each week, quizzes online, very approachable, class discussions fun, he makes World Religion interesting and I learned a lot. Hot to look at makes class much more enjoyable. However, very intellectual.
Lots of powerpoints. the Prof. makes you want to learn more. Prof. Cason is a good teacher. Just like any other class show up and do the work you'll be alright.
He was seriously a wonderful professor! His online discussions are very fun and thought provoking, and he'll participate with you as well! He is understanding about late work, but don't push it! Be sure to participate a lot and always ask for clarification! He's very nice and easy to get in touch with, this could very well be your favorite class!
Be prepared to do a lot of writing, there is a paper due before each class - generally 1 page. There is also a group presentation. Enjoyed the class, and I liked that Dr. Cason has a personality. If the opportunity arises I would take him again.
Great Professor. Took the class online he was always available for questions. His syllabus was exact & on point. Two group papers and one individual paper. Class was interesting. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I took this class online as a humanities requirement. There was quite amount of writing, but that has to be expected from a humanities course. The material was interesting. Prof. Cason is very fair with grading and responds quickly to e-mail. Quizzes are easy if you read the assigned lessons. Keep up with the assignments and you'll pass.
Took world religions online. I highly recommend this class. I spend very little time on this class and got a B almost effortlessly. To be fair if it had not been for the two group papers it would have been an easy A.
Dr. Cason kept the class interesting. Keep an open mind and you will learn something. This is a very thought provoking class but not to change your mind about your religious beliefs. And for the ladies...he is easy on the eyes with a nice smile!!
I took this class b/c I am LIKE subject, what surprised me was a professor who REALLY cares about his students! That goes a LONG way! Do what you are assigned, try your best, COMMUNICATE UR issues, if u have them &u will do GREAT! Cason is an AWESOME PROFESSOR! I WOULD RECOMMEND HIM AGAIN & AGAIN! HAVE AND THEY 2 R HAPPY & doing GREAT!
I took the online course- he really cares about the discussion board answers- He expects you to prove that you understand what you've read and apply that to the question. He also wants detailed replies to classmates. There are 2 exams- not to hard as long as you read the book. 2 group essays, requires ALOT out of you. its compare/contrast.
Professor Cason seems very passionate about the Subject he teaches. I would definitely recommend taking ENC1101 before taking his class though; you have to write a lot. I would also recommend reading everything you are suppose to; it will help you a lot when comes time to write your essays. He is also VERY nice looking.
PROFESSOR CASON WAS THE WORST ONLINE PROFESSOR EVERRRRR. HE PUT US INTO GROUPS ON HIS OWN. IF ANYONE DROPS FROM YOUR GROUP HE WILL NOT PLACE YOU IN ANOTHER GROUP THEREFORE YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR A 10 PAGE PAPER ON YOUR OWN AFTER ONLY TWO WEEKS. HE DOES NOT COMMUNICATE EFFICIENTLY.
He was very helpful. Super fast at answering emails. As long as you do the work you will do great in his class. It's not a hard class at all. You read about religions and take quizzes on them as many times as you like. discussion boards, 2 test. 2 5 page group paper. piece of cake class.
great teacher! He does not talk about himself at all but that makes him a better teacher.
Really great professor! Very helpful, very knowledgeable. Loves what he does and it shows.
He's very timely with responses and very helpful. Grades very harshly. Two team projects that I don't think anyone made higher than a low B on even after making his advised changes from the rough drafts submitted. Not an easy A. Be prepared to put a lot of effort in your work. Overall, loves his subject and it shows.
I was pretty scared of taking this class after seeing some of the reviews, but I have a very high A in it! It's not easy by any means, and it requires a ton of tough reading, that goes with discussions and questionnaires. What was frustrating was many people wouldn't look outside their own religions and cling to them; walk in with an open mind!
The class isn't too bad. You do have to put thought into your discussion posts because he grades them harshly..but once I understand what he was looking for it was easy to get an A..the team papers suck because not every one pulls their own weight. I received an A..nothing too stressful
Interesting class. Excellent response time from professor and clear cut instructions. Two team projects - tough because it is a huge part of your grade, and on both projects, I was the one that did 90% of the work or else would not have gotten an A. Would rather just do a self project as this served no purpose as a team.
Seems really smug. Grades discussions a little too tough in my opinion.
Grades chapter questions tough and be prepared to write a lot. You must read every chapter of text book but gives extra credit and is very clear on expectations. Interesting class.
Grades chapter questions difficult but he gives extra credit opportunities. Clear in his expectations but the syllabus changed throughout the course. You must read the text book and he grades attendance. This was an interesting class.
This is an easy class to take.
He was a GREAT teacher. Always responded to you and always kept you engaged by thinking outside the box. Fantastic teacher!
This class is simple enough, very philosophical in nature and lots of reading. Buy the textbook, quizzes are graded incorrectly from the system sometimes but notifying him will fix the grade. lots of writing but not horrible, grades pretty easy.
He was a very laid back teacher. It was an easy class because you'd get points for just talking and speaking your mind. Be expected to read and discuss what you read the next class, and there's discussions every week.
Great professor, extremely easy class. The bulk of your grade is the chapter questions, which are an easy 100%. There are socratic seminars where you just say two things or write for full credit- easy. Only two tests, the midterm and final with an optional essay for major extra credit. He's nice and respected, you just have to actually go!
Professor Cason does a great job of investing into all of his students. He is very helpful in class and responds to emails in a timely manner. He does a socratic discussion or some type of group activity every class and gives you plenty of opportunities to receive participation points. Make sure you keep up with the reading and you will be fine!
I didn't really care for the coursework in this class. It was almost like writing an essay every week with the questions and discussion. The wiki project was interesting to do. He's a tough grader with the discussions and I didn't think he was very clear in what he wanted with the questions. Overall, it was an ok course.
The class was very interesting. The teacher always held class dissections to help the students better understand what was read for the homework. Very good at explaining things in full detail and giving good feedback. He always checks on his students to make sure they will succeed.
Mature student here. First semester fulltime in 30 yrs. Was afraid, but he made his expectations clear from the beginning. He took a subject I thought would be hard and made it doable. Gives great feedback and makes class time fun with class discussion every class. Do the work, participate, and you'll have an easy A.
If you fail his class you need to evaluate your life. Go to class,do the weekly questions and read the chapters. You pass..
Dr. Cason is an AMAZING professor. He is HUMBLE & FAIR & very PASSIONATE about teaching. Trust me, he wants you to do very WELL. He can seem tough at first but he gets FRIENDLY throughout time. He keeps his personal opinions hidden, he stays on TOPIC all the time. You will not walk out of this class the same person. This man is GOD himself. :)
This professor did an outstanding job relaying his topic! He is super caring for his students and wants you to achieve the best grade possible! Work load is not to bad and if you do the assignments your going to pass! I would recommend this professor to anyone and would most defiantly take him again!
Professor Cason has a very clear and outstanding way of teaching World Religion. Very easy pass as long as you do your reading and questions; and participate in the class discussions.
I took this class as an elective so I expected to fly through it. He's very picky and doesn't give hardly any perfect scores on discussions or module questions. There's A LOT of work in an 8 week class. The only thing you can score perfect on is the tests and that's because they're all on quizlet, just fyi. 10 out of 10 would not recommend ...
A really inspirational teacher, who makes you write more than you did in ENC1101. His comics class is something unique. Be warned though, however inspirational the guy is, there's a lot of reading and writing before every class, with an interesting project of your own comic at the end. A bit tough, but surely a good class all the same.
He's a excellent professor; however be aware of somethings! If you choose to take him for HUMANITIES there's a weekly essay to write duo on blackboard - Fridays, weekly chapter questions, in class discussions worth points every week and a final comic project. He does not accept late essays, late chapter questions worth half of the points.
If you don't mind doing a lot of reading and analysis, sign up for this class! It's so interesting and you just get to read comic books for homework! Don't forget to do the chapter questions, those points add up. Also, there's no group work! Show up to class and you'll get a much better perspective on the comics. Good luck!
Hands down best professor I've ever had. He makes class go by super fast and everything he talks about is on quizzes. There is one weekly homework assignment (5 questions) , one project, a midterm, and final. Go to all the classes, do the homework, he is super nice and funny!
Very intimidating and hard to approach professor. Lectures revolve around class group discussions. Talkative students rule the floor when it comes to discussions. Makes it hard to get a word in for 'participation points' when students are having a free-for-all during discussions. Not recommended for quiet students. Textbooks are comics so thats a +
Good professor provides great feedback and quickly usually responds within less than 24 hours. Super hard grader!!!!. if you are used to responding to discussion boards with two sentences or writing a 6 sentence paragraph for your actual post dont take him. He expects like a full paper for discussions and grades super heavy. Textbook is needed!!!!
Professor Cason provided excellent feedback. This was a learning experience. There was a lot to take in in such a short time but Professor Cason was there all the way. His knowledge of World Religion was very helpful and his suggestions to guide me. Do the work to make a decent grade.
I took the 7 week class for World religion, he gives great lectures and even tough it was fast paced I never felt the work outside class was overwhelming. Definitely take him other class with him
I thoroughly enjoyed my humanities class with Professor Cason. He lays concepts out very clearly and if you have a question, he answers it to the extent that you need (you have to specify or ask for clarification if you don't like his answer). Class went by very quickly and I retained a fair amount of the information. Would definitely recommend.
weekly quizzes come from the previous days' lectures so show up to do well. grade is 1/2 weekly: discussion (talk 2x), quiz & ch. q's (only have to read 5/50pgs and answer 5 qs in a paragraph each) and 1/2 midterm/final/presentation. textbook is $200 in the bookstore if you dont have FAFSA find ebook on chegg ($38) very clear and structured class
Follows the syllabus. Lectures on Tuesday's and group discussions on Thursday's. If you participate it's easy points. You can get extra credit just by visiting his office and one essay. Homework is not easy but not hard. One PPT presentation, one midterm. One exam. Not hard if you study. He even gives the essay questions ahead of time.
I love Dr. Cason. His class was one of my easiest classes and one I really enjoyed. The module questions are pretty easy, there are a few essays and a ppt presentation but he is removing the ppt for next semester. If you give effort, you will be fine. He's one of the few professors who enjoys his job.
I'm currently in Professor Cason's Humanities class and I can truly say I enjoy the experience. The class is focused on topics in the cold war and comics which prompted me to take his class in the first place (sci-fi/horror babe here and gaining some valuable information about comics). You can tell that he loves what he does. Would recommend.
I loved this class & teacher!! This class is ab comic books in the Cold War era. Homework was usually 5Q on the chapter or comic book you read that week. And you have 3 writing assignments due throughout the semester. very easy class, even for someone that hasnt really opened up a comic book. It was actually exciting to learn about boring history!
This class is very easy. I ended up taking it because I didn't like any of the other Topics in the Humanities classes that were open at the time. The specific class is on stories in the Bible. We analyze the text and look at art that is based on the particular story. I took theC7 class.
Great professor! I'm so glad I took this course. I learned so much and recommend this course to anyone who cares to appreciate diversity. He cares about educating students and wants all to do well.
Straight forward with his expectations. I took him online for a seven week so we moved fast but it wasn't too bad. He also gave us the textbook online so we didn't have to purchase one. Make sure that you watch the lecture videos that he posts. They're kind of long but really helpful. Strongly recommend!
Mr. Cason is a great professor , he is always available , and answers back to you in good timing. Follow the syllabus you will be fine, I'm trying to take another class he teaches.
Dr. Cason is the best professor I have had so far. He makes the subject interesting and fun. The assignments can be a bit in depth, but I learned so much! I took two of his classes, and am sorry to be wrapping up the second now. Take his class, preferably in person!
I am glad I took Professor Cason's class, it was very interesting learn! If you had any questions he was quick to respond, as well as giving feedback in depth. The website was easy to use, as well as pack back (post an answer to a discussion & respond to 2 classmates) He grades really well and although i took this class for a credit, I enjoyed it!!
I have never been into religion, however, I learned a lot from this class and prof. I would most definitely take this prof again! His criteria is clear, he responds quickly, and he even holds a live meeting on Mondays for anyone who has any questions. He even helped me in another class w/ a problem I had w/ another teacher. I highly recommend him
He's a very flexible and understanding professor. As long as you show up to class on time, prepare yourself by reading the chapters, and participate you will succeed. He's also considerate of those who have social anxiety and uses alternatives for receiving participation points in class discussions. His use of technology keeps the classroom modern.
I took his Comics and American History course. He had interesting assignments, fun class activities, and a cool final project. His lectures are insightful and he's an interesting person. There's no midterm or final exam, and his work is fairly straight-forward. Show up, do the work, and participate, and you'll pass fine. Very fun class!
I took his Prehistory to the 15th Century course. His lectures are insightful and he's an interesting professor. He gives study guides for the midterm and final exams, and his work is fairly straight-forward. If you show up, do the work, and participate, you'll pass. Great class!
Cason is definitely a one-of-a-kind (in a good way). You do have work due every week, and, for my course, we had a class discussion every week as well which you are graded on for participation. You can look at notes however and the questions he asks are thought-provoking regarding the material. Im actually taking two classes with him FALL2020.
Professor Cason is an extremely unique professor. He uses you tube videos, kahn university, and various other websites to instruct his class. We did not have a textbook. He provides courteous and constructive feedback. The assignments were not tough but if you do not put in effort it will effect your grade. He encourages class discussions.
Would recommend taking 7-week course. I took his comic humanities class and I didn't think I would enjoy reading about comics as much as I did. The professor is really understanding, and he really cares about you passing. Only con I would say is if you don't like talking in group settings, the class consisted mostly of group circles. Easy tests!
I didn't realize this was a Biblical Art class until I started. I've never really been into art, but after this class I love art. It was supposed to be on Campus, but COVID19 had different plans. Dr. Cason made it feel like we were still in the classroom, together with live meetings. Attendance not mandatory, but WELL worth showing up for!
Prof. Cason was amazing and engaging, even tough, due to COVID-19 this class was 100% online. The Art Of Biblical Narrative was well taught and him using Pack Back for discussions was excellent/competitive. You get prompt feedback and the opportunity to make edits to your essays. Clear rubric and grading criteria. Would take his class again.
Cason is a really great teacher 10/10 would take his class again he made online learning during covid interesting and his class was worthwhile
Mr. Cason was by far my favorite professor, he was a great teacher. There is a big project at the end of the semester but he works with you through the entire thing and gives great feedback for you to fix your mistakes. His grading is easy as long as you do the homework and participate in the discussions. He is a great teacher and class was easy.
Overall a good professor. There will be a lot of reading, quizzes and homework but none of it is difficult. You also need to attend the meetings and participate in order to get credit.
Professor Cason is one of the best professors you will ever take. This is my second semester with him, and the coursework is writing a paragraph about the textbook once a week and responding to 2 other people, and then doing a quiz. He gave us the prompt for our midterm and final. You can tell he loves his job and loves to teach. Would take again!
Prof. Cason is an awesome guy, he's very interesting, kind and a good natured guy. I took him for HUM2210, Most of your grades will come from the Packback postings, which is 3 posts along with 2 replies to other posts. There is a Midterm and Final but they were multiple choice and fairly easy. Overall Great Guy and would Gladly Retake him!
Dr. Cason is by far one of the best professors I have ever had. He is super kind and understanding; he makes every class fun and interesting. His humanities class is based on comic books (just a btw). There is never a dull moment with Dr. Cason, he definitely makes you think and the homework is not that bad, you get used to it. 110% recommend.
This was a pretty easy class. There are quizzes every week so you have to read the material. Attendance and participation are mandatory and graded. It is an easy A if you do all the work. There is one project, but it is not that hard. He grades very fair.
Teacher uses packback which is an AI grading your Discussions. The discussion turns into an essay every time (&replies). This could of been such a great course with interesting curriculum but the discussions/quizzes killed my grades. The quizzes were true/false, MC, select all that is true (which I never got right). I had a 4.0 before this course.
Great teacher. Love his way of discussion. We don't do the usual discussion board we do packback which is better, it's outside of the norm for discussions... it challenges you while also giving you the opportunity to debate. This class was an easy A. I was taking 4 classes and was able to complete all my work in week 2 aside from the discussions.
Great teacher. Love his way of discussion. i absolutely love casons way of teaching! i took his humanities class about comic books and it was probably the most engaging class ive ever taken. there is a lot of reading and analyzing, but during lectures, my classmates and i had really interesting conversations about the text. 10/10 would recommend taking his comic book humanities class.
Prof. Cason is okay. Class is about comics. Start on the weekly homework/reading early. Claim your project character ASAP, as only 2 students per class can cover a character. Discussions are easy points. On project submissions, he gives clear, insightful feedback to help you improve. Overall pretty decent, but definitely not for everyone.
The course was based around comics and it was a lot of fun. Discussions are important to him and participation is a huge part of the grade. He gives good feedback and gives you opportunities to improve your grade. 10/10 recommend!
Dr. Cason is an awesome professor. I wouldn't consider myself a big humanities fan, but he did a good job of making the class interesting. He is very knowledgeable on what he is teaching. He lays out very clearly assignments and how you will be graded. As long as you do the work, you should be able to get an A.
He was a really good teacher, and I took him this summer. He is very interactive with the class, and very infomative.
I took Dr. Cason's HUM2020 Comics and American Culture class and it was great. Even if you don't read comics, he makes them interesting by drawing lots of parallels between our society and their comic book reflections. You will have to be prepared for reading many pages of comics, but the assignments are not difficult. Highly recommended.
Professor Cason is truly a wonderful human to speak to. I took his Humanities 7-week summer course, which ended up being a biblical art class. I was so worried since I'm not religious whatsoever, BUT it was so fun! Professor Cason is very funny, easy to chat with, super interactive with the class, and made me want the it to never end! Recommend!!
I would say that his class was pretty good and he is a good Professor. I did take online Humanities class (similar to in-person class) and we were basically learning about comics. There was a lot more reading than I thought. That and my laziness explains my lower grade, but if you can put in the time and effort in this class you will be fine.
Professor Cason is an amazing person and I enjoyed his class very much. He was engaging and really cared about the subject. I really enjoyed all the discussions we had in our class as well. I think if I could take this class again I would. Highly recommend him for any person.
Dr. Cason is a good professor who cares about his students. The final project is submitted in sections where he gives direct, helpful feedback that you then use to fix and resubmit each part. Class time is 90% class discussion in which there is a participation grade, so be prepared to talk. Syllabus isn't set in stone tho, be prepared for changes.
Amazing professor. Taken him three times now. Makes it very easy to pass if you pay attention and read. Uses pack back which is easy once learned. Gets back to students almost instantly with constructive criticism. Be ok with talking in a large group and you are guaranteed to do ok. There are quizzes but the book and lectures give all the answers.
The first textbook, "Comic Book Nation," includes long chapters, but read it in sections over the week to make it simpler to read! The textbooks are available at public libraries, so check them out to save money. Using Packback is much enjoyable and I prefer it over the boring Canvas Discussion.
I really like this professor. He cares! He loves to talk and class is very long. Does ask for a lot when it comes to discussions but he is an easy grader. As long as you do it and follow the guide lines, you will get an A. He gives in depth feedback and allows you to turn in early for redo if you don't get full points. Very easy and interesting!
Imagine an art history class mixed with a religion class. Fun and interesting class even if you don't care for those two topics. He genuinely cares for his students and is very knowledgeable. The way he facilitates discussions in his class is unmatched compared to any class I have ever taken. Seriously, take this professor for this class
Professor Cason is an amazing professor, I took him for classes three times. He is caring respected and intelligent. You will not regret taking this class
This course was one of the few classes I would certainly 100% take again. He gives lots of feedback on assignments. Lots of extra credit opportunities. Be ready for lots of class discussion! Although I was never interested in comic books let alone the history, I actually really enjoyed this class.
Hands down one of the best professors at FSCJ. He is dedicated to his students and passionate about teaching. He consistently delivers excellent lectures, and I looked forward to coming to school just for this class. He emphasizes group work, but the way he does it will have you leaving that class with lots of new friends. Take this class!!
Professor Cason was the best! He was involved with the class discussions/made sure we knew what to do. Used Packback & the AI used in grading was helpful to know what I needed to do to improve responses. Cason was encouraging and provided quick feedback. The final project was fun, and I don't like writing or research. Take him, you won't regret it!
this is my second class w/ mr. cason! he's a fantastic teacher and the lectures are really interesting but do not take the class if you arent good at socratic seminar. there are lots of quizzes/discussions but they are easy if you read the textbook. lots of extra credit opportunities as well and he gives great feedback on the final project :D
Probably the best class I've taken here. Material is interesting and lectures are engaging. Lots of extra credit opportunities if you need it, but it's an easy A if you just do the work. Grading criteria is very clear w rubrics, and he gives thorough feedback on assignments. No midterm or final exam, just a really fun project.
Had high hopes according to the reviews until I was told my discussion grades would be contingent on an AI-based tool called PackBack. I think this professor has a lot of potential as a teacher, but something as delicate as AI shouldn't decide my grade. I believe in equal standards using AI in college for both students and professors. Thank you.
I started this course expecting a typical online class format and was pleasantly surprised. Professor Cason is an intelligent, compassionate teacher who truly looks out for his students. The workload was incredibly light, the text easily comprehensible, and WILL understand and accommodate any personal circumstances you have. Thank you, Prof. Cason!
Pretentious. Teaches with an obvious agenda and will blatantly disrespect contrasting opinions. Avoid him.
Very easy A course.
Amazing professor, I only reviewed for one of the three classes I took because I took his world religions, ancient history, and comic book humanities class. They were all fantastic with a routine format using pack back, he gives a clear grading criteria from the syllabus and is accessible after class and through office hours. Fantastic guy.
Great professor. Not too much work at all and easy to get a good grade if you participate and complete the weekly assignments. Would recommend for all classes he teaches.
Professor Cason is a great guy. Attendance itself isn't mandatory but participation is graded one of the two meeting days a week. Very clear course structure, a lecture, a pack back, and a quiz. Keeps you well engaged. Not a hard final either, relative to the content and interesting.
I took HUM 2020 Topics in the Humanities"Art of Biblical Narrative" and Professor Cason was very nice and helpful. He does take late work for full credit and the class is very easy. I was very last minute with all my Assignemts which is how I got a C but if you stay on top of everything and attend the weekly meeting you'll get an easy A.
I enjoyed this class and Professor Cason. He spent a lot of time providing detailed feedback on each assignment. The work was just the right amount, and there was no final exam. His communication was amazing, and I never felt disconnected from the class. I'd take his class again, for sure.
Professor Casons topics in the humanties(comics) was by far the most entertaining and engaging class I have taken at FSCJ. You can tell he cares so much about his students and the topics he teaches. One class per week is a lecture, and the second is a socratic seminar +one weekly quiz + packback (basically a disscusion board). Participate!!
Second class I've taken of his. Workload is completely manageable and you almost always know what to expect. Just participate and it'll be hard to get a bad grade. Learning about all the world religions was so interesting and thought provoking. As always, a great class to take with professor Cason.
Sign up for the live lecture classs! Super easy & just being in the lecture and responding is a grade, easiest 20 points of my life. Every week there is a quiz, packback, and live lecture. Do not wait until last minute to do the work, he is really good at responding to your work in time to submit a second attempt.
This is an easy class. Weekly quizzes and packback. Just do they work on time . Its literally impossible to fail as long as you do the work. You will have weekly reading to complete the assignments. Have a goal to pass the the class and. Work to pass your class then you achieve your goal. TAKE HIM. Quick gpa booster course. Nothing is proctored
My favorite teacher I've ever had at fscj. He gives amazing feedback on what you need to work on. Very nice guy I would suggest him to anyone. Read the rubrics.
I loved taking this class! We had 1-2 assignments a week, I have social anxiety so I did not talk during the seminars, but I still got an A because I did everything else, which does require critical and outside-the-box thinking, but the topics are very interesting! I recommend!
Amazing teacher. Had him this year for the spring semester for topics in humanities, really cares about his students, uses the packback system. I would definitely take him again!
Great professor all around. Class meetings were nice, and he is very knowledgeable and open to hearing out perspectives. Classwork can take a little while to complete but it's pretty simple discussions. I definitely would recommend and would take him again.
Awesome sauce professor! Make sure to you state your 3 relevant points, commits, opinions, or questions during group discussion to get your 10 points :D
Not a bad teacher, but not really a good one. Every question-based assignment is graded on Packback by AI. He doesn't really grade most assignments himself, and he doesn't actually teach either. That being said, if you try, you will pass the class. If you need a humanities credit but don't really care about humanities, take his class online.
The best professor so easy, he grades very fast and isn't a harsh grader. If you fail his class then you just might be the problem. We covered toys for our 7 week course it was amazing. His work is very understanding and organized. His class was full when I tried to register I sent him an email and he accepted me in his class, he's a 10/10 take him
Professor Cason is such an understandable, caring, and passionate professor. Weekly coursework revolves around a lecture, then a discussion, then a short quiz. Very straightforward and easy to follow as long as you pay attention. He loves participation and listens to other perspectives. He's also very accommodating as long as you communicate.
Super interesting class and an AMAZING professor!! Attending class is mandatory but if you miss class, they are recorded and he gives you a second option so you do not lose any credit.
Professor Carson is a great professor! I would retake his class. There was a packback and 1 quiz every week. The midterm and final required us to teach AI what we had learned. Attendance and participation are required, and super easy to achieve. He drops our lowest scores from each categoryFollow his directions, and you will have no issue passing.
Prof Cason's lectures are very interesting. Participation matters!! Socratic seminars once a week, a quiz, and an assignment. Overall, easy to manage.
This professor should strictly stick to religious studies, humanities are about literature, art, multiple religions, and languages. The entire syllabus was only about the bible and said, "This Topics course, the 'Art of Biblical Narrative'." I was expecting a humanities class not a bible studies class. Uses AI as well. Dropped the class immediately
Mr. Cason is a solid professor! I needed this course for one of my GE credits. I didn't know what to expect, but we covered classic art from the Old Testament in the Bible. Honestly one of the most interesting classes & made me appreciate the Bible more as well as classic art. You'll learn about both and cover interesting questions. Take him! Easy
Awesome professor! Prof. Cason's class is very engaging and I highly encourage you take it! He is lenient on work if needed. Participation is a large part of the class and counts as a grade. His syllabus and rubrics are very clear and helpful!
took his hum2210 class for spring 25, super easy class and it is impossible to fail. makes students use alot of AI interactions which is fun and different, super nice guy and really enjoyed the class and if i can i would take another class by him in a heartbeat!
