awesome professor...very laid back...will def. keep you entertained...if you're going to take a psych class, take his!!

AMAZING professor. Doesnt mind if you are late or absent but you wont want to be because his class is soo interesting. He uses his son as an example alot and it helps. Hes extremely helpful, in school or in your life in general. I HIGHLY recommend him. DONT BUY THE BOOKS... u dont use them

He is an awesome professor, take any class with him and you will be happy you did. 8 oclock classes are hard to stay awake, but in his class its not and im glad i have it early. his class keeps me awake. Oh and yeah, dont buy the book.. the tests are from the notes you copy from his computer.

He is a wonderful teacher. I have him at 8:00 and i want to stay awake in his class. Take him! He gives 3 tests and drops the lowest grade out of the first 2. The writting assigments are all your opinion, so you really cant be wrong. He will give you his powerpoint presentation on flash drive so you dont have to take notes in class. AWESOME TEACHER

BEST PROF EVER! makes it so much fun and is really really funny! if you take one of his classes you will never want to be absent.you don't use the text book and the 3 easy tests come right from your notes. the final is only on the last two chapters. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! i am planning on taking him for abnormal psych next sem.

This is the only class i stay awake in, and its a 3 hour night class! he has a great sense of humor and explains things so well in many different examples that i can confidently say i understand it, i walk out of his class happy that i gained more knowlege and i am so excited i tell all my friends what i learned, i wish he could be my teacher again

This man is funny and SMART. Quick witted, intelligent, caring, and makes you work so you will be sucessful in college. He is also very good looking and sweet. I think he is fabulous! Excellence does not require perfection. But he is very close to perfection in terms of a professor. I would highly rec. him!

He is a great professor. His tests are very easy. All you have to do is just read his notes and you get a good grade. There are only two papers, they are easy too. You have 3 tests one is the final between your two tests grades not inculding your final, the lowest one is drop. He makes the class fun and enjoyable.Take him.

Dr.Coleman is intelligent, young, energetic, and enthusiastic about teaching and sharing knowledge. He is a great professor, and an excellent human being. I highly recommend taking him for any class he teaches. His style of teaching is unique and refreshing. He is a fair grader, and keeps you interested in learning. It is college expect some work.

He was really amazing, he was young fun has a lot of stories to tell that get you really into psychology. His testing is really easy. I had him twice and both times he dropped 1 out of 3 tests. He had only 2 papers based on a reading he handed out.

He is so leanent. You can txt in class, sleep; he doesn't care. He tests directly from his notes and his papers are a breeze. He gives you 3 weeks to read a passage and answer 6 opinion based questions and the lowest grade in the class was a B. Plus he makes learning fun; a nice change, lol.

Pay attention to your notes & thats all. 3 tests & 2 writing assignments. straight from the notes if you really study. attendance isnt mandatory, but the class is so much fun i loved going to class. definetly would reccommend him to anyone taking psych.

Best professor I've ever had. He's down to earth, a natural comedian, genuinely interesting, and helpful. The tests are more or less word for word from the notes, and you don't even have to take notes if you give him your flash drive. If you're taking psychology, you want Professor Coleman!

Great Professor, he really knows his stuff! However if he is having a bad day he can come off as a jerk sometimes. He is really funny though, and expects college level work! Do not confuse his fun personalilty for a professor who doesn't expect college level work!! If you're not there and you miss something, its on you!

Very easy course. don't need a textbook, he gives you the slides for the a hole semester via email. Two tests, exactly what is in your notes is on the test. Rarely takes attendance. Easy A

He's a very good guy with a nice personality and a sense of humor. He gives 3 tests and 2 easy written assignments that counts as a total of a test grade! Just study for the tests from the notes and you'll be fine!!

He is very good teacher! He gives you slides to study so there is no textbook. There are 3 tests and 2 papers, but if you need help he will help without a question. He is so funny and I would def take him again!

Very funny and informative. He will take a while to return your papers, but if that's the only negative, I'm ok with it. Study his slides. He basically cut and pastes his tests, so if you fail, you did NOT study.

The class is an easy A. 3 tests and 2 short papers. No final. He gives you the slides. The tests are word from word of the slides 50 mult choice questions. What I didn't like about him is he takes a while to get your grades back and he messes up on grades. Make sure you check he didn't make a mistake. He gave me the wrong grade but it was fixed.

Currently taking him for PSY215,Very easy going, only 4 test and 2 papers and the test are right off the slides that he emails you,no textbook, rarely takes attendants, takes a little longer to give back the test and paper grades but it wasn't a big of a deal for me.DEF RECOMMEND HIM!

Professor Coleman is a quality professor. His lessons are thorough, I always leave feeling that I have learned something. His tests are straight from the slides he provides (book not required). He has a great personality, is invested in his students and always keeps me interested. I highly recommend him. He gives a great face to Psych.

Professor coleman was definitely my favorite teacher. He gets your attention and has you listening. He breaks everything down to help you really understand it. he is also hysterical. he actually gets you to listen to what he says. His test arent hard either. straight off his slides. You dont need a textbook for his class either.

Coolest teacher ever. You could literally ask for an A and he is nice enough to give you one. Goes on the coolest rants about the most interesting stuff,does tend to get sidetracked which is good because it lead to an open notes final. It's an easy A with minimal effort. But he does teach psychology the way it should be taught.

Best professor I have ever had. He tells you day 1 that the tests arent going to kill you because he knows the stress put on students. I believe that truely makes you study more because you know that if you know his notes you will get an A. Funny guy. Amazing Professor!!! He fully explains everything and answers all questions. You do not need to buy the textbook because all his notes are on powerpoint, and he emails them to you so you're able to print them out prior to lectures and add footnotes. He is lenient with attendance and his tests are easy if you study.

Just took him for a summer semester. His lessons are so clear cut and to the point. I benefited greatly from his basic powerpoints and life experience examples. Coleman is seriously the best professor you can ever have. I had him for PYS 101 and its been the best class I've ever taken. He is super funny. Attendance doesn't really matter. There is like maybe 2 or 3 test. One or two easy papers which you could get a 100 on if you have common sense. I hope i can find another class with him. great guy.

Final was open notebook, and was worked on in groups. Attendance wasn't required. There was 1 paper that was a piece of cake. Easiest A ever. He really knew what he was talking about, and enjoyed his lectures. Super laid back

The class is made up of two short papers, and 3-4 tests. All the material comes straight from the powerpoints which he emailed to my class at the beginning of the semester. He is so hilarious, has no filter, doesn't call on students and doesn't make you buy a textbook. Super chill guy

Had him for PSY101, we had one short paper, pretty much everyone got 100 on it and he counted it twice. He gives like 3 or 4 tests but they're all straight from the notes. He gives you all of the notes via email at the beginning of the semester. (Not sure if he's still doing it but the final was open notes/computer/phone as well)

Coleman is actually one of the smartest people on the planet. He knows every topic he covers off the top of his head down to the most specific detail. His "Moral Dilemmas" are devious and anyone who's taken the class knows what im talking about. Only a few tests, try and you'll pass. He emails every power point to you so you can have it anytime.

Prof Coleman is probably the best Prof I had a Suffolk. His class is straight forward. Questions on test are straight from PPT slides, and doesn't throw you any trick, in depth detail questions like other Prof's due when they tell you to study the slides and the questions there asking aren't on the slides they given you. This was hands down my favorite class I took this semester. He makes lectures fun and has a great personality. He's a lenient grader when it comes to his papers (which were actually pretty fun to write) and the tests go hand in hand with the notes. No textbook required which was definitely a plus. He even had a surprise open text! Great class.

Thomas Coleman is an amazing professor! From experience he is very understanding to many students. I've taken three different psyche courses with him. I also worked full time one year taking one of his courses n I still received an A. DEFF RECCOMEND HIM. Don't fool around in his social psyche class. Its deff one of his harder classes

There literally aren't enough words in any language to describe how much I care for Professor Coleman. Taking his PSY101 class during my first semester here at Suffolk was the best decision I could've ever made. He's a great professor and has so much life experience that I respect wholeheartedly. He really cares about the field and his students.

Best class for an easy A. Professor Coleman really cares about the students and is very intelligent due to knowledge and experience. Just show up and go along with the lectures and you will pass. Tests are literally made straight out of the lecture powerpoints. He makes the class interesting as well the material.

When you first see him you are going to be like bro this is a high school burn out. But as classes went on you'll see he's such a deep, intelligent person. Sweet genuine down to earth guy, always started off every class asking how our weekend was. He's a little out there but means well. I liked him, he was very understanding and has a good heart.

He is & was my favorite professor of all times. His class made me want to participate because it was interesting. He always puts his students first & never fails to ask you about your weekend or day. He canceled class to get his hand tattooed & always tells us that a mental health day is necessary. He has so much knowledge in what he teaches!

When he came in I thought he was class clown. He came in with a T-shirt, jeans, a Mountain Dew, and his arms covered in tattoos. But he was down to earth and adds his own life experiences into his lectures. He is most definitely someone I would recommend.

This a model teacher right here. He clearly knows what he's talking about and makes an effort to make he class has great time while learning. He's hilarious and very obviously cares about of his students individually and as a whole. Definite gem in Suffolk.

Great Professor! Very funny and cares about his students. One of my favorites at Suffolk. Tests are straight from the notes, like exactly your notes. Gives the power points to all lectures so that you can print them out and have them in front of you instead of taking them by hand. Only 2 papers both minimally a page, can have up to 3.

His class is all lecture and provides you with notes on power point slides. He has three tests and two small papers. study all the notes youve written and youll definitely pass. Such an awesome Professor! Extremely funny. I unfortunately had to drop the class due to personal reasons but I will definitely have him as my prof. again hands down!

I took his class for summer. No textbook needed. He is an amazing teacher. 3 tests and 2 papers. Dont think about it twice ... take his class.

My favorite professor. I honestly wish all professors were like him. He is hilarious but teaches and makes you actually interested in it because he's so chill. Never thought I'd be interested in psychology and always thought I'd be so bad but he makes it easy to understand and is so funny.

Coleman is one of the coolest professors I've ever taken. I was curious on what to go to college for and he inspired me to go for psychology. Super down to earth and extremely funny. I've taken him twice so far and did not regret it once. Wish I could take him for all of my psychology courses!

Professor Coleman is a great professor. I took him for Psych 101 and as long as you read the powerpoint for each chapter you will do fine on his tests. You are allowed to hand things in late for full credit, no textbook required and he is not a stickler for attendance. The only warning I would give is that he is at times to relaxed and unstructured

Im currently taking his Psych 101 class and I absolutely love him. He knows what hes talking about and confident in his answers. He makes what you think might be a boring class into a really interesting one even at 8 am, I honestly learn so much. Hes so laid back and really easy-going, also very approachable. I really recommend taking him.

His exams can be a little difficult but as long as you study your notes youll be okay. He doesnt give homework but he gives like 3 papers I believe. Hes a great professor he doesnt want everyone to be bored in class not only does he want you to learn, he wants you to have fun too! He makes sure to keep each class alive.

Hes a great professor! If your taking a psych class I highly recommend taking him. I love all his tattoos and how laid back he can be. Only thing is I wish he answered emails (at times he didnt answer) and reviewed powerpoints more/got the class more prepared for tests. His exams were pretty hard but he likes to lecture.

I had him right before COVID & only spent a small time with him in class but by far my favorite professor! He makes lectures as interesting as possible and hes so funny!

he's a good prof he cares about you and he's understanding. After every lecture, you get a weekly assignment that's due by the next lecture. You could either not learn anything or learn a lot depending on if you just want the credits or wanna learn. Either way, as long as you hand in the assignments you'll literally do fine.

This is the most amazing teacher I have ever had in college. he truly cares about his students and wants them to succeed and learn. He provides all the information you need for class on slides. He's very understanding and good at teaching in a way that you feel prepared and ready for the homework/tests. For sure, recommend taking a class with him.

Great teacher, he's understanding and caring. There are three tests the whole semester (Including the final) and you get a weekly paper to do after every lecture. plus then 2 big writing assignments which could be as long as you want them to be. (they're not boring too they're interesting). If you are able to get a spot in his class keep it. :)

Coleman was great because he was the easiest grader ever and I got the easiest A of my life, but he also messed up on the tests A LOT. Though he got very ill halfway through class, the zoom lectures that we had were informative and explained well. He teaches theory over research, which I personally liked. Weekly 1/2 page paper, 3 tests with unlimited tries, and 2 longer assignments. no research papers. Straight forward material, no textbook. He's a great teacher. Take his class

I only had two zooms with him so far, and he is the BEST professor. He is down to earth and hilarious. I actually look forward to waking up at 8AM for his zooms. He makes the class interesting and funny while teaching. Super easy assignments, and gets back to emails very quickly if there are any questions and concerns. DEFINETELY take Coleman!!

He is a good teacher. He likes to talk easy teacher. It is clear however he tries to be the cool professor. Which he is but i wish he took it more seriously. Constantly shows up late and cancels classes, shows films when hes not feeling it. Want to learn Psych, try another teacher, if the other option is a low rating or a TBA take coleman

Professor Coleman is one of the best professors I have ever had. He doesn't require participation, but the way he teaches makes you want to ask a million questions. He is a very interesting person and always talks about how much he loves teaching. He is very laid back, but you will always want to go to class. Best professor ever!

The class is very easy if you pay attention and study for the tests. There was two tests, two writing assignments, and a final. All 3 tests were 50 multiple choice questions that came straight from the slides he uses to lecture. He also shares the slides with you at the beginning of the semester. He is very laid back, fair, funny, and nice.

awesome dude 10/10 recommend. had him in for Intro To Psych, enjoyed his class so much that I'm taking him again for Social Psych. easy-going, patient & friendly. learning material comes straight from the powerpoint notes. wouldn't exactly say he's an easy A but will def work with you if you're having a hard time.

As long as you study you will be fine. He only has three tests and two papers which are very easy to understand. His lectures are fun, interesting, and is just a great guy. Definitely take his classes.

Professor Coleman is one of the few professors at SCCC I would take pleasure in attending his class. He gives fantastic lectures, charismatic, nonjudgmental, and overall a very interesting and caring person. Because of him I am thinking of changing my major to psychology. Dr. Coleman was one of my favorite professors, he gives great examples for everything he talks about and makes sure everything is easy to understand for all his students. Nice professor definitely. Not exactly an easy A but it's not a difficult course to do well in. I have taken him twice now once for intro and social psych. At times he gets lazy with the material or glosses over things and is an extremely liberal professor, so interpret that how you deem fit. The tests are right from the slides and straightforward

COLEMAN! everyone should take his social psych class! he is soooo insightful and knowledgeable, he should definitely make a podcast just saying. he inspired me so much that I now want to go into social psych! he's so funny, understanding and very open with all of his classes! TAKE HIS CLASS IF YOU CAN!

Very funny and laid back. Lectures are interesting and engaging. Grade is based off of 2 multiple choice tests, a paper, and a final exam. Attendance is not graded but he doesn't put anything online so make sure you know what you're missing if you miss class.

Prof Coleman is super straight forward. You get what you put in. We had 3 tests and a final and one small paper. He sends you the powerpoint slides so you can study from and he basically gives you the answers to the tests. Even the final. He's super knowledgable and you can basically just walk in for office hours if you need it.

Easies professor ever I barely knew what was happening in pysch but it was an easy grade the exams ARE JUST LIKE the notes literally so easy there was one test I did poorly on but that's my fault for only trying to remember terms without fully understanding the concept but idc I didn't even need this course just took it for credits EASY A

He is an excellent professor. Study the slides, and you'll be good. Pay attention in class because the scenarios he discusses are the same ones on the exam. He does not do any reviews, to test your knowledge in class, but I would definitely retake him again.

This class was just a lot of fun. His lectures are extremely clear and interactive as he tells you his own stories and experiences. His test review is super clear (he literally reads the test and tells you what to study) and the tests themselves are not difficult at all, study the slides and you'll do amazing. Take this professor if you can.

I just took him for social psychology and I have to say that he is very knowledgeable. He could make the tests so hard to understand but he literally takes the test out and reads it out to you. Their is a lot of information that you need to know so you do need to study a little, but if you do you'll do just fine.

This professor was the reason why I got into psychology. His classes are easy, and he is very interactive with his students. His class was my favorite class to take in Suffolk

Prof. Coleman is a great lecturer and is definitely funny. But his schedule and teaching style is not fit for everyone. He gives out 3 exams and 1 easy writing assignment. Unfortunately, lectures took too long, and we were far behind the syllabus schedule, so our last 2 exams and the writing assignment were crammed into the last 2 weeks of school.

The class is an easy A. The tests are 50 mc questions and tells you what to study direct from the PowerPoints. No need to study extra. No need for txbk. He is funny and engages with students for conversation. The problem is that sometimes he overtalks and is behind schedule (3 wks). Sometimes covered 5 slides per class. Writing assignment was easy.

My friend recommended this professor and I was very excited to take his class. He's a very down to earth guy. There are 3 tests and one writing paper thats very easy. All the tests are directly from his power points so definitely study those. Theres no homework at all and he makes lectures more exciting and bearable. Definitely take his class.

Dr. Coleman is easily one of the better Suffolk Profs. He gave incredibly informative lectures and everything you needed to know for test was on Brightspace. I was lazy in class and on my phone every day and I still got a B+. He's super relaxed and will make the class easy, fun and informative.

His lecture slides are accessible on brightspace making it easier to study. Told us exactly what to study for on the tests. Very straightforward. Gives you 1 week worth of absences. Recommend highly.

By far the best professor that I've had at Suffolk. He makes coming to class genuinely enjoyable and is very good at engaging the class. He says that he likes to talk TO his students instead of AT them and I think he perfectly conveys that in the way he teaches. He makes the material very straight forward and easy to understand.
