Easily in my Top 2 professors with Prof. Aaron Hanlon during my 3 years in Georgetown. His lectures are awesome. His experience with cases is amazing and makes for great stories in class. If you attend class, you will get a B+. If you put in 30 minutes of studying after every class and 4-6 hours before the tests, you'll get an A.

Professor Cooke is one of the best professors I have had at Georgetown. Though the lectures were 3 hours long, he kept the class engaged and always made learning what could have been monotonous and dry material actually very interesting. He is clear about what he expects from you and gives you all the tools you need to get a strong grasp on bus law

Taxation is one of the most useful classes I have ever taken, and he makes the class engaging and easy to understand (well, as engaging and understandable as taxes can be). A variety of graded assignments, so no one thing will make or break you-- though the final is 25% of your grade, so be sure to study. He is very fair and gets grades back fast.

Professor Cooke is the best professor I've taken at Georgetown. Notes have everything you need to do well in the class, he tells you exactly what is covered on quizzes and exams. If you study for an hour before the quiz you can easily do well on them. Only hard part is the tax return on the final exam. Best part is you learn stuff that's useful.

Professor Cooke is easily one of the best professors that I've ever had. He makes a 3 hour long Friday class immensely enjoyable and entertaining by telling really hilarious stories that relate to the material. His tests and quizzes are very doable if you spend any amount of time looking over the material (or just paying attention in the course).

Cooke is the man! He is hilarious and loves to tell stories (pay attention because he sometimes quizzes on them). Class is extremely doable and requires minimal studying if you are good at memorization. One paper, one midterm, and one non-cumulative final. Quizzes every week helped to keep up with the material. Professor Cooke's format is cut and dry, and he's an entertaining fellow. His 5 biweekly quizzes are manageable, and, even though each quiz is weighted at 10% of the final grade, it's nice to break up the overall grade into smaller chunks. Cooke is a great lecturer, and his content transfers pretty seamlessly into his tests. Take this class!

Professor Cooke is a good lecturer but not too great at much else when it comes to teaching. Lazily makes the weekly quizzes (and about a third of the exam) true/false, which is not a good reflection of the material learned but just a reflection of your ability to comprehend tricky wording. Also gives little to no substantive feedback.

Prof. Cooke is one of the best instructors I've had in the MSB. The US Tax Code is quite complex, but he does a very good job making the content very accessible. One assignment for the class is writing a tax editorial, and if you write a good enough editorial, he'll work with you to get it published. Absolutely worth taking as an ACCT elective.

Took this as the online summer course. Cooke does his best to give multiple quizzes with plenty of opportunity for evaluation. The challenge is you can only lose 14 points to get an A because he doesn't really grade it on a curve but if you study for the quizzes its fine. The wording can be tricky so you need to keep a close eye. Defs a good guy!!
