I took this class as a telecourse, and it was a lot of hard work. Your grade consists of 1 paper and 3 tests w/ multiple choice and an essay. However, he's very helpful and gives you a general idea of what to study. In e-mails, he was very friendly. I had to work hard, but I still pulled off an A. Phenomenal professor. I took a class on the 60's with him and he knowledge of this particular topic is incredible. He knows a lot about the music of the culture too, which is the music I love. He is a very approachable person and will talk to you anytime. His lectures are so interesting that I wanted to go to class and do the work he assigned.

I swear to God, I would have carried straight "A's" my entire life if all my teachers had been as enthusiastic about the subject as he is. I didn't even look at going to class as going to class, but almost as going to the movies. Funny, charismatic, fair, enthusiastic, I wish he could teach every class, as I'm sure he could (with the right book!)
