Tom is a really good professor. I'd say he's great, but he often makes mistakes on the board and confuses people that way. What I like is that he gives lots of practice work for you to do, because you need to do that stuff ino order to understand it. I would recommend him because of his clearity and helpfulness. He's also pretty funny, which helps.

Thomas is a great guy and willing to help you at any time. He sometimes is confusing in presenting his questions on the quiz and exams. Beware, his exams are tricky, particularly the multiple choice. I, for one, don't like to be tricked. I don't believe tricking students really measures their knowledge. I'd rather have a hard and untricky exam

HORRIBLE! i already didnt like chm but this just made it worse! talks off slides but stands in front of it so its hard to take notes. talks about random issues and says that you wont be expected to know it but then puts it on tests and quizes. assigns hmwk and collects it but doesnt tell the answers most times. always messes up in lecture.

Nice & understanding. Usually gives points back to the class on every exam. 89% = A! HOWEVER, prepare to do a lot of outside reading as his presentations aren't very clear or super interesting. Communicates well enough but you will definitely rely on your text to fully understand. Gives test grades back super fast. SLIDES = the quizzes. Take him

This professor was absolutely horrible. He cannot teach, doesn't teach the topics we need to know, but focuses on what is interesting to him. Says you don't have to know things for the exam and then puts them on there. Also was unwilling to give back points when he misgraded a test. If you get him RUN the other way!!!

If you've been reading some of the the comments from students there seems to be a division between those who feel he is the one of the worst professor they have ever had- and those who take the "study the book and the class is easy" mentality.
