Prof. Ferrell, is a fabulous math teacher. He makes math fun and even interesting. Math was always hard for me that is until I had Prof. Ferrell. I got an A in his math class. He is so great that I had to take him again. He helps out so much if you have a question he will happily help you.

He is the best instructor I have ever had. He is funny, makes the class fun for all of us. He is very fair and loves math. I want to study math becuase of him.

Prof. Ferrell is one of the nicest, modest professors at Miami-Dade. Whether you are having trouble in Math, or are an expert, take his class, he is clear and super nice. Professor Ferrell is by far the best at Miami-Dade. I went from straight D's in math in High School to an A in his class. He is an amazing teacher and is always there to help. If you struggle with math, take him and it will all finally make sense! I love you Professor Ferrell!!

Geometry for EDUCATORS... take this class with him if you are an education major, or are looking for an extra math. There is a lot of info, but he makes it clear and fun. Class participation is a must, but TRUST me, you'd have to be DEAD not to pass his class.

Greatest math professor I have ever had. It is too bad he doeesnt teach statisics. He goes at a slow steady pace so and does not move on until everyone understands the material, whoever said he goes at a face pace was lying because if anything he is too slow.

Prof. Ferrell is so helpful. He explains how to do whatever section your on, gives a small amount of hw, then in the next class he goes over each problem step by step and takes questions. He always hands out practice test which he also goes over in detail the class before the test. He does everthing he can to help his students!

Professor Ferrell is a really sweet guy with a real desire to see his students pass. =) He teaches slowly and clearly and is adamant that a student fully understands an answer to their question. I plan on taking him next semester.

The best teacher that someone can have. Take him!!! Explains everything like if you have never seen math before. Gives tests questions in class. Shows you how to solve your test questions and you just have to do the math to get to the answer. EASY, EASY, EASY A ++++++++

Guess what people! Prof. Ferrell does teach stats now and thanks to him I am passing with an A so far! I have taken him for all my college maths and when I tried to do stats with Ian Cobham it was a total disaster. I definitley reccomend you take Ferrell's class for stat's even if you have to make the drive from kendall like I do. It's worth the A!

Math is my worse subject but with Prof. Ferrell's great teaching, I got an A. Everyone should take him! I'm so glad to learn that he teaches stats too! Yay!

Professor Ferrell is excellent. I am a nursing major and needed statistics to graduate with an Associates in Arts Degree in Pre- Nursing. He is very thorough and explains stat well enough to get a good grade in his class.

Took him for Calc 1 and currently Cal 2. Teaches very clear and is helpful. I can believe I have actually learned Calculus. This professor is a must if you have to take Calculus.

FANTASTIC!!! I've never had a teacher who was so enthusiastic to help his students learn! I thought I was going to fail but I passed with an A! He helps you, makes sure that you're ready for the test. Notes I never used...but it absolutely essential to do HOMEWORK GIVEN AND GO TO THE LAB!!! take him!!! phenomenal!

The class is super easy. All of the test are multiple choice and you get to use the calculator. If you are not good at math, then you should take him because he is going to make sure you understand the material, and he will also make sure you pass his class.

Always take NOTES and go over them at home do the reviews he ask you to do and when you understand problems ask him or quickly go to lab. He is HARD but awesome!!! good teacher

I hate math but he made it easy

I'll pass the course with an A but the class itself is a bit hard if you don't do extra studying and make use of the math lab. Sometimes it is hard to follow what he trying to say but he provides time outside of class to answer any questions students have.

Professor Ferrell is the greatest. He is the most polite person that you will ever meet. If you fail his class, that just shows that you are lazy. Don't listen to anyone that posted something negative about him. They are the lazy ones.

Great Teacher:) He makes great use of class time always available for any questions. Also, gives study practice exam before any exam. He is really really good:)))

The math is simple, the formulas and when to use them are another thing. Do the fake homework assignments are you will pass. He is helpful if you try and doesn't like to repeat himself if people are goofing off.

I had this professor for express Mac1105 and statistics in one semester. Although it was a lot of material tought in such little time Prof. ferrell made it easy, clear and understandable, I dont believe this prof. ever gets mad if he has tp repeat. He was WONDERFUL I suggest you take this prof. just make sure you buy your text book and take notes.

Professor Ferrell is a great instructor. He explains the material very clearly. If you are prepared to do the work you will have no trouble getting an A. The labs and homework are important to do to be prepared for his tests.

Had him for express Col. Alg. and express Stats. in one semester. He lets you know whats on a test so there's no doubt. Be sure to have your textbook because everything comes out of it. As long as you take notes and everything you'll be golden. Attendance isn't mandatory but for the express classes I suggest you show because they go extremely fast.

Prof. Ferrell, is a good instuctor. He goes out of his way to meet up with students to go over homework and classwork. his test are only like 10-15 question out of like 3 chapter. His pretty easy if you do your HW. gives you extra credit if you show him after each test.he goes pretty fast. & beareful what u say he has like super hearing...lol :)

Great Professor. He is easy to follow. He breaks it down so you would get it, there to answer any questions before moving forward. I took him for MAT1033 and look forward to take him again for MAC1105.

He is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! As much as I hate math :/ He made so easy. He will literally STOP the class and make sure you get it before moving on. He's a loving nerd with a math book and coffee cup.

He can be a little confusing and even confuses himself from time to time but overall he is a great professor. Ask a question and he will make sure you understand it. 4 test and your top 3 count. No midterm or Final

The professor is amazing. His grading is not hard but its not multiple choice but as long as you show work he gives you some type of credit. Explains very well and goes over every little thing he expects you to know for test. Gives review for test and is almost like the test just different examples. :)

He will answer every one of your questions and clarify concepts until you really understand them and is always available after class and during office hours to answer your questions. Doing the homework is essential to passing the exams. His exams are very straight forward. He makes his lectures engaging as well. He's an excellent professor!

Goofy professor. He knows what he teaches but doubts himself a lot while doing examples on the board. He will ask students to help him out and gets stuck. Not the best style of teaching straight from the book old school. Exams are tough. Must study and get the material or else he will not give credit for nonsense. He is very helpful though

Best math professor guys, if you struggle with math and you're looking for a professor who is willing to help, take his class. I remember he once said that he'd rather students come to him for help before going to the lab because he was the one who made the exams so he knows best. Great professor.

This professor is very good! I took Stats with him and barely ever had any questions on the material because he taught it so well! And even when I did have questions he explained it in length and in an easy enough manner that even a child could understand it! If you're considering taking stats take it with Ferrell!! :)

Excellent Professor! He occasionally has kids knocking on his door selling candy. He is a fair grader. Do all recommended problems that he assigns at the end of each class. Oh, be sure to show up to every class so you have an idea of what will be on the test. He explains well and expects the class to interact with him.

Awesome professor. Does examples from book, but explains them in depth unlike the book does. He makes sure everyone gets what we're doing before he moves on. Tests are fair make sure to do the he and practice problems he gives you for the review for the test. Quizzes on exactly what you covered class before(pretty easy) . Take him if you can!

I'm currently almost halfway through my third consecutive semester with Ferrell. I learn something every class and never feel like I'm wasting my time. If you ever have any questions he's in his office often and is very welcoming; he loves when people come to him with questions and he will make an effort to get to know you. Favorite prof at MDC.

His teaching is very straightforward and it was very to understand the concepts. His tests are a combination of multiple choice and free response so that definitely helps. Before every test, he goes over the homework he assigned and basically answers the test questions for you. Very easy to pass if you show up.

Professor Ferrel cares. Seriously, he'll meet you halfway, he's ALWAYS in his office, he'll drill you with a million practice problems if he has to in order to make you understand. He assigns "quizzes" daily, but he does them with you. He goes over homework, lectures from the book (but not verbatim) and the tests reflect the homework/quizzes.

This dude can teach.

His tests are usually either example questions from the textbook or homework problems, so if you fundamentally understand the material, there is no reason you should fail this class. His office hours are useful. He is very understanding and will work with you when needed. He is human and accepts that he can make mistakes, and grades accordingly.

Took him for Mac 1147, 2311, and 2313. Would take him again but did not offer 2313 for the semester I needed. He grades fair he will not hand you the grade, show your work might give points, do the homework it will help u. He does teach out of the book but does other problems and examples that are better explained by him. Do Hw, ask questions.

I have never gotten an A in math before until this semester with Professor Ferrell. Math is my weakest subject but he made things very clear to understand. There are no surprises on his test. Everything on them is exactly what he taught. He also does a review the class before. He is great and cares about his students. Take him!!

I took Mr. Ferrell for Mat0029/MGF1106. His grades are tough some are easy but just study youll definitely pass. He gives you an option to do service learning if you decide to do it he adds 4 points to your final grade.

Honestly, a solid professor. Wasn't really to hard on classwork, and very helpful with work.

I took the class through MDC live, he is a great Professor, very helpful, explains in an easy way. Very straightforward. Not proctored exams. He is very serious and specific but explains well.

Lectures are straightforward and easy to understand, and homework assignments are super easy. Makes extra help very accessible to students so you always have a chance to fix your grade. Definitely recommend this professor for anyone taking a math class because this guy knows his material. Wonderful guy.

Honestly, I learned basically nothing in this class. All the answers are in the textbook and tests are not proctored. I had a hard time understanding the concepts from his lectures, so I watched some YouTube to try and learn a bit. Same thing in his MAP 2032 class. Easy A if you want it.

Professor Ferrell is the best at what he does. Although I couldn't cheat my way out in some test and homework he taught very well so I was able to find the answer through my own knowledge. I used to hate math, but he makes math fun and easy to understand. He sometimes laughs at his own joke which make me laugh ha-ha overall TAKE HIS CLASS!! :)

Lots of homework, you need to ask questions because he moves on fast. It was hard learning from him as he kind of mumbles a lot. he is very understanding and allows extensions as long as u communicate. Class was in person but homework and exams are online with multiple attempts.
