Professor Garr is by far the most caring professor I have ever had. He is willing to meet or talk to his students 24/7 if they have any concerns at all. His tests are straightforward and mostly taken from his handouts, and he does an extremely thorough test review the class beforehand. I think it's impossible to fail this class. He is amazing.

Professor Garr is the sweetest human being on this planet! He's EXTREMELY accessible and keeps up with each and every one of his students. If you need help, all you have to do is email him. If you're struggling in the class he will keep tabs on you. I failed the first test and still ended up with an A. Amazing teacher!

He's honestly one of the best teachers I've had! He really actually cares for students and knows that we have lives OUTSIDE OF SCHOOL!

Hes an amazing teacher, he really was helpful during covid and tried his hardest to be accessible to students. If you need help you can text him at any time (yes even at 3am). He would help you one on one too. You dont need a book or anything. Dont pass the opportunity to get him!

Tom is the best prof at KSU easily. He cares so much about everyone, even though he teaches like 800 students a semester. If you put the work in, so will he. It's SO easy to get an A. 10000000000/10 would take again.

My favorite professor at KSU! He is the coolest. You can talk to him about anything. He is always happy to chat with his students and is the only professor that will answer you NO MATTER WHAT TIME IT IS. Super inspirational. Attendance is not mandatory but you will not regret going. He tells you how it is! Please take him if you have the chance to!

You are only graded on 25 out of 30 questions on all 4 of exams. His study guides are actually study guides. He has review sessions before every test. He is always available. He once responded to my email at 2 am and I did not find it strange at all (I hope that tells you how available he is). Truly cares and wants everyone to earn a A+.

If you have the chance to take his class DO IT. Had 4 tests but they were based off the guides he created, which are structured like the tests. Each guide provided goes into detail on how he got each answer. He genuinely wants you to succeed. If you need help at any hour he is willing to stop what he's doing and help.

Garr looks out for his students. He wont let you fail. Dont let 4 tests scare you off. Please take him if you want an 100, while still understanding what youre learning.

He is quite literally the best person you can get for just about any type of ECON. He is a genuinely good guy and cares about everyone in the class, passing or failing. Take the time to listen to what he says, because he will teach more than what you came for and most of it is super useful.

Tom Garr was the best professor I have ever taken. He told all the information needed in the classes. There were four tests and the lowest grade was dropped. Before every test he sends out an email to everyone who was in or watched the class. This email has his explanation of everything on the test. Garr makes every lesson easy and interesting.

Professor Garr is as good as a professor gets! He genuinely cares so much about the students and wants to give them the best experience possible. No matter what time it is, he always responds to emails and will never embarrass you ever. I couldn't recommend taking him enough!

Take. His. Class. Super phenomenal professor. Available 24/7 outside of class for help. Teaches the material so that you can understand what he is talking about how you need to understand it. Offers book for support but is not necessarily needed, lecture heavy but not boring. Love him to death. Super happy I went his route, you will be too.

From the first day of class to the last, Dr. Garr never ever failed to put a smile on my face and always try his absolute best to make sure everyone understood the material with endless options to get any extra help they needed. I truly wish this professor could teach all of my classes, he is the most humble and caring professor I've ever met.

Prof. Garr is one of, if not THE best professor at KSU. He emails write-ups (lecture and material summaries) that are AMAZING. He tells you exactly what to expect on the tests and all the material you need to ace it! He doesn't grade 4 questions on each test, which allowed me to score above 100 on EACH of the 4 tests. 11/10 you won't regret it.

Hands down the best professor I have ever had. I have never met anyone who cared more about his students on an individual level. He will work with you to make sure that the test dates fit into your schedule and he is super understanding. Also, when he says he is available 24/7 he means it! The class is super easy and he gives you ample resources.

P. Garr was one of the best professors Ive taken at ksu. His lectures are fun which is hard to do with economics, but he makes it work. He really cares about his students and their grades. He wrote me a recommendation letter for a nursing program without me even asking him for one. If you are able to take him dont think twice, hes the best.

AMAZING!! I hate economics as a science major. And to be completely honest I did not pay attention one bit, but he helped to actually start investing and making better financial decisions! Professor Garr is a must take!

By far the best professor I've taken so far. His lectures are engaging and really prepare you for the exams. There are only 4 but if you ask for the write-ups you should be fine. You can tell he really cares about your time and education. If you have the opportunity to take his class you won't be disappointed.

this man is amazing. took a 2 week course & there was no hw at all. just exams. got 100s on 3/4 of them and a 97 on the other, then he ended up dropping the lowest test if you did all the exams. he will answer your email at literally any time. he will set up a call at 4AM if you need. he really cares :)

No lockdown, No camera, greatest teacher I've had in my life. Cares about you not only as a student but also a person. He is willing to meet with you anytime outside of class for any help. Very friendly, I went to the class a few times and still passed with a 98. Greatest teacher I've ever had.

Easiest professor I've ever taken. The final grade is made of 4 tests, but that was no issue. He emails out study guides. Whenever I emailed him, I got responses within the hour (once within a minute). Take him if you want an easy A in econ. Understands that this is a gen ed so he doesn't make the class difficult. He wants you to make an A.

You will not regret taking class with Professor Garr. I was completely mentally present during every lecture and have already used the things he taught in my life. His curriculum is centered around giving his students the tools to become successful financially and rational. An absolutely wonderful man and role model.

This is probably the easiest class you'll take. Attendance isn't mandatory, the tests are online with no lockdown or webcam. The professor is interesting and has good stories so I would class but if you don't go you will still get an A. Even though owl express says it is a 15-week course, the professor ends the course in late October.

It's impossible to not like this professor. You have to take his ECON 1000 class. Every other review on here can tell you the very long list of amazing things about Tom. It is also just as impossible to fail his class as it is to not like him.

TAKE THIS MAN. He is a very caring and funny professor, his class was very enjoyable to go to but with my schedule I ended up just not going to 75% of the lectures. He gives write ups (good thing not bad) which go over the class material and answers questions that will be seen on tests. Overall, I put in barely any effort and I have a good grade.

I'm taking Professor Garr's Econ1000 class and I can say that he is by far THE BEST professor I have taken in my time at KSU. Extremely easy class. You can do this as an online class if you want to, he does zoom calls every class, so you can watch the lectures from anywhere. 4 Tests & he drops the lowest one, 4 questions (any questions you get wrong) are dropped from each test (Tests lengths varied, but they were all around 30 questions).

Professor Garr was so sweet. There's no coursework, just 4 exams. He provides you with write-ups after each lecture and before each exam. The exams are pretty easy as long as you show up to the lectures and review the write-ups. Even if you miss a lecture or any lectures he has other ways to give you the information that you missed.

He cares so much about his students. He also gives great life advice. You can email him at any time and he will respond. There's only 4 exams through the semester and he doesn't assign any homework. His lectures are very good. He explains everything thoroughly and as long as you pay attention, you will pass this class.

Thomas Garr was the only professor that I've genuinely liked here at Kennesaw, He in so genuine and really cares about all of his students. He made class very simple and straight forward. Tests are easy and not meant to stump you in any way. allows you to get 4 questions wrong and still get a 100. is always and i mean always available.

There is only four test you are graded on and he is will do everything in his power to make sure you get an A out of this class. Professor Garr was very flexible. He allowed me to attend a different section number than the one I signed up for due to extenuating circumstances. I've struggled with economics in the past but his class was actually enjoyable. If you come to class, review the write ups and the questions after each handout you will do just fine on the 4 exams.

Easily the best professor I've ever had in my life. So inspiring he made me switch my major to accounting. If I could recommend only ONE class at KSU, it's his. Ask him questions, take his advice, learn from him. Class is very manageable and he sets you up to succeed. TAKE HIM.
