This guy just scares me. When he taught Civic Engagement he used the class to try to teach students, who he must view as ignorant, about Astronomy, Anthropology, and Modernism all under one class as the history of humans or something. Nothing like preaching the theories of several objective fields without explaining adequately what a scientific fact or theory is or the history that lead people to them. Absent of that type of context, Astronomical facts and Anthropoligical facts taste like crap.

You need to put in the time to understand everything he says, but hey it's Calculus and requires effort. An absolute pleasure as a professor and genuinely really nice guy. The effort you put in, in his class truly reflects your grade. He does not waste your time. He tells you exactly what you need to know, and will clarify as much as he has to until you understand. Wish I could take more of his classes. Shocked he only has a 3.7. More than fair guy.

Professor is organized, caring, straight to the point. There are 3 tests 3 homework assignments total. Show up to class, lectures are to help with homework and tests . The handouts make all the difference. 2nd test is the most difficult (probabilities) Complete each homework assignment prior to each test, it's a great way to prep for tests.

Dr. Hair always lets class out early and there isn't a whole lot of work to do. The only grades are 3 cumulative tests and 3 cumulative online homework assignments. He answers questions clearly and is very kind and forgiving. Doesn't take attendance nor does he care about being a few minutes late. Awesome math professor and teacher.

Although attendance in not mandatory, I found myself worrying that if I skipped class I would fail. Not a strong teacher, personally I learned more about beer than statistics. Had to go to substantial tutoring outside of class despite math being one of my best subjects. Great guy, horrible teacher.

As long as you stay on top of the homeworks, you won't do poorly. Doing the homework is a LOT of help when preparing for the exams. If you skip a few classes you'll still do fine.

He does not teach. He stands in front of the board where you cannot see and does the problems himself. He does not explain the problems or what he is doing to solve them. Worst teacher I have had in my entire life. I took his class after I saw his good ratings and was shocked with how oppoiste he actually was. Would NEVER take this class again.

Hair is the easiest statistic teacher at this school and doesn't go past about ch 9 while others go through 13. That said, it's in person lectures, hw online, and three tests. And he is a little confusing, but with the right tutor I figured stuff out. He is never actually in his office for office hours and doesn't email back. Stays after class tho.

Its understandable why some people dont love him, but IMO hes one of the best. Its not that he doesnt teach, he definitely does, but theres a lot you have to do to fill in the gaps yourself. He gives you the basic understanding and you run off with it. Theres little work in his class too, 3 hw assignments + 3 tests thats it. I took stats.

Hair is an amazing professor. Do not take this class if you are genuinely interested in studying stats. He teaches the basis of the concepts. He gives a short lesson and does a worksheet each class. The worksheets are the key to acing the tests. Only gives three tests and homework. He is very understanding and tells funny stories about his own life

Much of the material in the book used for this course is completely different from the lectures he has. This class should not have been as difficult as it was. He rarely helps to explain the concepts he's teaching, much of which adds to the already confusing material.

Professor Hair was a good stat teacher. His tests are exactly like the material or worksheets he passes out in class (so recommend going to class). Graded on 3 test and your cumulative homework. Hes super relational and fun but if you really struggle in math some of his teaching may be confusing.

This teacher is so unorganized. There is not a schedule of when test and assignments are due. Nothing is posted to canvas. He takes about a week to respond to email. He does not follow what his syllabus says. He is unable to give students dates for when exams will be other than verbal announcements in class.

Professor Hair is a nice a guy but an awful teacher. He gives out worksheets and tells you the answers without explaining the reasoning behind the process to get the answers, leaving everyone confused. When you ask questions in class, he doesn't answer them. He simply doesn't teach, and gets annoyed when we don't attend his not mandatory class.

Gave us a whole speech about how this class is the most important thing ever, triumphing COVID, family endeavors, and other classes, and that if we don't show up we will have a future in fast food. He also does not teach, just rewrites the problem on the board expecting you to get it. Passing is only possible if you're willing to study for weeks.

Good professor. Very approachable and knowledgeable. His class is NOT ORGANIZED though. Meaning no canvas and very loose syllabus. Show up to class, do the hw and you're fine. His lecture wasn't all that helpful though, Mylab taught me most of it. He recommends textbook pages per chapter and after using them for like an hour I aced my test.

Examples given are extremely basic compared to how difficult the concepts are. Don't take if you actually want to KNOW the material, but his class isn't hard if you just wanna pass.
