I took him for maymester and really liked him, he stayed after class every day to go over material. Do not need the book for this class, so don't purchase it, all material for class comes from his notes. All test material comes straight from notes, it is a difficult class but he makes its interesting.

I had him for Anatomy I. He is so amazing. Read his notes over and over and you CANT fail the tests. By far the BEST anatomy teacher at this college.

Harnden is an awesome professor. I took him in Maymester and I am so glad I did. His test come straight from his outlines and he will allow a few minutes of looking at your outlines during the test. The book is not needed. You only need the cd for the class. Such a helpful professor!!

This BIOL-1611 course was at GPC on Saturdays. The class by nature is hard core (i.e. NOT easy), but he does everything he can to present it as simply as possible. He teaches from his notes, tests from his notes (in order), and takes the time to clarify when you ask for it. Don't let the syllabus scare you off. Great instructor!

I took Dr. H online for Nutrition going in knowing it would be hard as an online class. He is very fair- read the chapters assigned, participate in discussions and read his notes he gives you, there is no reason you can't get a good grade. He is slightly hard to get ahold of but he DOES respond to your emails in a timely fashion. Def take him!

Good professor overall. Gives you the notes and sticks to them. Dont expect anything to be given to you though, you have to work for it. Only complaint is that I took him at GPC and he makes alot of comments about how it's done at "his institution" (meaning Highlands).

I took this class online so I knew it would be hard. I found this class online to be extremely difficult and information overload. I met with him in his office a couple times and he is very nice and helpful. Wish I would have taken him in class. I ended up getting a B, but it was very hard to do so.

Great professor! Loved his class, don't need the textbook. His exams come WORD FOR WORD from the notes. Make flashcards from the notes and you'll do great. He is very helpful, kind and funny. He also makes Anatomy understandable! Take him if you can!

Print out notes. He covers them in class. Test is word for word from the notes. Made a 100 on most of his exams with little studying put in. If you don't make an A, you are doing something wrong. He is very nice and approachable. Don't buy the book- I never looked at mine once.

Online exams were easy because I used the book. Discussions are easy. Final was hard but were the same questions as the online exams.

I am an A student and received an A in the online Nutrition course. I think some students were using the book for online exams and then couldn't pass the final which had the same questions as the online exams. If you study in this course you will do well no matter which type of exam you have. I enjoyed the discussions also.

Online but straight forward. Dr. Harnden emailed updates often.

There were eight exams that were easy and a propject that was fun. The final was worth 30% but were there same questions the exams. You have to participate weekly and if you don't then you lose points. I liked the way the course was set up because it kept me on pace and not forget when things were due.

Dr. H is great. The course is tough but if you pay attention in class and study all the bones and muscles as you go, you will pass. There are only two tests so study extremely well. Dr. H gives you two easy grades with the drawings and experiment.

AP 1 was the hardest class I ever took but Dr. H did a great job motivating me to do well. If you want to do well then read and study every day.

Dr. Harnden is GREAT! There are 6 lecture exams and 2 lab practicals. The exams can be challenging BUT if you use your lecture notes as your study source you will most likely do well on them. Go to class, be on time, he keeps track of it. Be sure to do really well on the 1st couple of exams. STUDY YOUR NOTES, not the textbook and you'll do fine.

Dr Harden sounds intimidating in the initial days but I took that as a challenge which made me pass my BIOL 2121K. Guides and directs well, clear to the point, good and reliable notes; no hidden answers for the exams! Everything from the notes. Great professor , sacrifices extra time to meet and guide students.

Great professor and cares a lot. He teaches and tests right from his notes so there are no surprises. I am taking him for BIOL 2122.

Favorite anatomy teacher ever! He's great, explains things well, willing to help, and even funny sometimes. He's willing to go above and beyond to make sure his students are on the right track. Love love love him, I' d definitely take him again.

The best teacher I have ever had!! I wish he could teach every class I have to take for the remainder of my college career. He does make you work for your grade, but as long as you study his notes, show up to class and ask questions, you'll easily pass. He is also very realistic with his expectations & hilarious in class. Loves him!!

Dr. H is very straight forward. All tests come directly from the notes. Literally that's all you need to study. The material is overwhelming if Science is not your thing, but he makes it very easy to understand. There is still a good bit of memorization so get ready. As of Fall 2015 he no longer teaches A&P 2 which is a bummer.

Took this class as a May Mester course and really enjoyed this class and teacher. Professor was clear cut and made topics clear and easy to understand. Would def. take again. Enjoyed class project that was assigned. Pay attention and study and you will do well!

Read notes, took exams, posted in discussions, did project and got an A. If you are determined and can work on your own, then you will be fine. I would take another class with Dr. H

Took his online class and it was ok. His test formats are awful-- he records some and you are only allowed to answer one question at a time + he uses lockdown browser. Most question are online. Discussion post rule is annoying--2 calendar days in between each post. Lecture final was hard, but his lab final was easy. He's helpful if you email him.

I took the online biology class. It had a lot of tests but the questions came right from his notes. The labs were easy, fun and interesting. I think the class was better than going to class. I would take another online class from him.

Took his 2121 and got a B and took his online 2190 and got an A. Taking both at the same time was TOUGH but he is fair and I earned my grades. I am def taking him for 2122.

BIOL 2121 was very hard but Dr. H made it interesting.

He gives us a lot of chances and ways to improve our grades. He is very relatable and likes sharing stories to help us understand. He takes each day as it goes and reminds us to BREATHE.

He is a great teacher. Believe me if he was teaching Mirco, I would be taking him. Good person at heart. He wants to see all his students be successful. A lot of reading so be prepared. Tests are a little difficult. Make sure you participate because he will out not just you but the whole class. Very passionate about his subject.

Just finished BIOL 2190 and it was a lot of work in a short time but I made an A. I would recommend taking in it a full semester because 4 weeks this summer was too quick!

Dr. Harnden intimidated me so bad in the first day of his class, but going through the semester I learned to love him! He is so helpful and makes the learning easy. EVERYTHING IS FROM THE NOTES!!!!! As long as you study and attend class, you will pass with flying colors.

Great professor. Had him for BIOL 1010k in Douglasville Hybrid. Very understanding and test were long, but gave us 3 attempts when doing them online. I would definitely take him for another science class.

BIOL 1020 was interesting and easy

It is a science course so lots of reading is expected regardless of the professor but his test are from his notes directly so memorization is key. the first test was the easiest &last one. Bones section will be a lot. He is great over all and realistic. Study and you will get the results! Will only round up 89 so do your best! doubles highest test

I took BIOL 2122 and 2190 with Dr. H and his exams came right from the notes. There were no surprises.

Awesome professor! Knows his stuff. Is kind and friendly. Not boring to listen to at all. Memorize the lecture notes he gives you and you will ace the test. It's not often one of the test questions is bad but if it is he is willing to admit it and give credit. Top notch professor. Don't mistake that for saying the class is easy, it's not.

Although there were lots of notes, if you go over them enough, then you will do well on the exams. All the exams were straight from the notes. There were two super easy projects. I got a hundred on both of them.

I had the pleasure of taking nutrition and although no study guides were provided, we had his notes that were the same thing on the test. There is A LOT of info, but as long as you study and listen to his lectures you will be fine. his projects are an easy 100% as well as his discussion posts.

Although quizzes were hard, the assignments were easy and you can still pull off a really good grade.

There are 18 lab quizzes, 4 lab exams, and 5 lecture exams. For the lab quizzes and exams you have to type in your answers and spelling counts! If youre not prepared to study hard until you fully understand every bit of material dont take him. He also doesnt show what you get wrong on quizzes and tests!

Dr. H is AMAZING! His tests come directly from his chapter notes. Lab quizzes are from the lab notes and spelling counts. I took him online for A&P 1&2 and I received an A both times. It is HARD and you have to put in the work but if you do you will EARN YOUR A! I did well on TEAS bc of this class!

The unit discussions require some effort but as long as you follow the rubric you'll be fine. There are 8 quizzes total that he gives 2 attempts on , which is good. All the quizzes are monitored so you must study and be prepared. If you study and take good notes you should pass the quizzes easy.

ISCI has lots of work but if you follow the directions then you will get a great grade. I enjoyed the discussions and the activities.

BIOL 2122 online was strait forward. The exams can directly from the notes and in order. I reviewed exams during his office hours and he helped me with the questions I got wrong. He was way better than my BIOL 2121 teacher.

I worked real hard in this class but I earned a great grade. I signed up for his AP 2 class and feel comfortable that I will do well in that class too.

Exams were fair and right from the notes. I loved the online lab activities and lab quizzes. They helped me get a great grade in the lab portion. Discussion were super simple.

It's a good class. The activities were fun and easy.

The first two quizzes were tough but the rest are easy. You can get 100s on the discussion and your homework. I hope to take him for my other science elective.

The quizzes were easy but make sure you use the study guides to help prepare for the midterm and final. The activity assignments were easy but the portfolio assignments too more time to complete. Overall, I liked the class.

Dr. Harnden believed in me and encouraged me. I would not have done well if it wasn't for him. I worked hard and it paid off.

I didn't think I was going to pass the class and Mr. H said he believed in me. I started to feel comfortable asking questions and using study techniques he suggested to use. I went from a D just before the drop deadline to making a B. I wish he was teaching AP2 on campus.

I had Dr. Harnden for BIOL 1108 and wish I took him for BIOL 1107. He was organized and his exams were directly from his notes. His lectures were easy to follow and he had videos if you missed class.

Dr. H was very funny and helpful. You can take his exams twice to get a better grade. The exams come from the notes and were clear. I am taking him for BIOL 1108.

I wish every professor I had taught and laid out the curriculum like Professor Harnden did. Everything was incredibly clear, straight forward, educational, but also fun. I really struggled with BIOL 1010 but in the next level BIO class I have excelled thanks to Mr. Harnden. I would select him as my professor for any class 1000 times again!

Padlet assignments were easy and you get to take multiple attempts on exams. Discussion participation was confusing at first but easy to do well in discussions.
