Although he jumps around a lot and is hard to understand at times, you can tell he really cares about his students and if they understand the material or not. He is just too smart and shouldn't be teaching 1101 because it's way too dumb for him. He makes it as easy as he knows how.

Very nice, kooky guy. His notes are all over the place, but he posts lecture notes before and after every class on his website. The worst teacher I've had at the University so far after 3 years. Makes mistakes often during lecture and explains the material inefficiently. I have an A in the class right now. I got a 102 on the first midterm but I had to study a decent amount. It can be challenging for some people, and to be completely honest I do not understand all of the concepts. However, you can figure out how to "guess right" by taking the practice exams. Don't need to show up for class. Don't buy used textbooks.

Thomas was a great professor and had interesting lectures to listen to. The only problem was that sometimes his lectures had little to do with the text. Read the chapters and you'll do fine on the midterms. His lectures are interesting and fun, but sometimes he gets carried away talking about Donald Trump.
