Not really an easy teacher, difficult tests but does try to help students.

Great teacher!
TEACHER IS HELPFUL AS LONG AS YOU DONT WANT EXTRA CREDIT DURING A SUMMER CLASS. I AM GOOD AT MATH AND HAD TO DROP THE CLASS. SUMMER CLASSES ONLY GET 3 TESTS. TEACHER IS NICE AND CLEAR DURING NOTE TAKING. ALL NOTES ARE COMPUTERIZED FOR EASY ACCESS. NOT BAD
very helpful, I made my highest collegiat math grade in his class, mainly because he brought things down to a level the students could understand.
A great math prof. either you'll love him or hate him. He really tries to help his students as long as you try in his class. will go over anything you need. tests are fairly challenging. very clear in notes great for college algebra.
Best math professor you could ask for...I did excellent in both classes I took and found it an easy task...be carefull on the tests though...as they are tricky...but well written and A's are highly possible if you study.
His class is pretty easy, if you do every HW he assigns, you will get A's. Also, he gives extra credits for each test. Write down what he writes on the board, it will be helpful when you work on your assignment
He was very good with helping understand the material. He was also very good with grading. Lots of partial credit!! This helped me, because I hate math.
Awesome teacher! Great explations and notes which are all accessable via the internet. Summer class was challanging with lots of material to cover but an A is very possible. Great sense of humor, he always gives review sheets which are very helpful and partial credit on exams.
He is a very dedicated teacher. He works hard to help students understand the material. The computerized notes are also very helpful although I prefer to write everything down.
He is a very good teacher. Explains subject matter very well
Awesome teacher. It is evident that he loves to teach. This is the only teacher that has made math a somewhat entertaining class for me. Very funny too. Great examples.Great guy.
Very clear in his teaching style.
good teacher
Mr. Hartfield is a great teacher. I had him for college algebra and precalc. He is really nice, and uses humor alot. His test are challenging, but easy to pass if you study and know your material. I made an A in precalc. Highly recommended.
The best math teacher I've ever had. I'm TERRIBLE at math but he made the class and the subject very accessible. He explains clearly and thoroughly and provides simple, effective notes. He does not have an attendance policy. He is also very funny and relaxed and easy to talk to.
Not a bad teacher. I dont enjoy math and Hartfield didnt make it much easier for me. He uses a vocabulary that is hard to keep up with. It seems that he likes for people to know that he is a math genius. He grades VERY critically! like half the points off for a missed negative sign... If youre good at math, take him...If not..dont!
This was the worst experience I have ever had with a math teacher. He thinks he knows more about math than anyone else and tries to make crazy jokes. He grades VERY critically! He always makes errors in the study guides, too. He is lazy and won't teach either; he just uses notes from previous classes! Be prepared to study HARD!

This was the worst experience of my LIFE! I dreaded going to this class, he is so boring and does not keep anyones attention. He does not make time for questions or e-mails outside of the class. When asking questions in class he acts like he doesnt understand what your asking to aviod the subject!! Please take my advise and DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Really awesome teacher. I suck at math and he's really lenient about attendance, turning stuff in, and helping out if you don't understand the material. best math teacher here.
Mr. Hartfield is a great teacher! I would take him again, but he doesn't teach pre-cal next semester! He really makes you work in the class, but atleast you learn all the materials that you need for the future! I definately refer him to anyone who wants to learn!!
I'm good at math for the most part, so I'm not one to ask about how great of a teacher is. You have lots of tests with only 6 or 7 questions. He gives lots of partial credit.. but it's kinda weird--it makes him excited to see you struggle during tests.
I never went to class, did poorly on most of the tests and still ended with a C. I don't know how... but Professor Hartfield was an okay teacher. He was critical on grading and made lame jokes, but other than that, I liked him. Oh and I suggest not wasting your money on a book, we never used it! Homework is all online!
This professor is hard. He is the calculus teacher and a mathamatician. He wants people to succeed though. He will try and help as much as possible. I had to have a tutor on the side to make a B in his class though- Im not great in math
This professor enjoys seeing students succeed. He is very patient and will answer questions. His method of teaching is geared towards students who are not math whizzes. I will be taking him for pre-calculus.
Really good teacher! I haven't been in school for a couple of years and he made everything so easy to understand. Pay attention to the notes, make sure to do the homework and quizes online and you should do really well.
At first I though he was a real jerk when you ask questions, almost as if he was trying to make you feel stupid, but he turned out to be okay I guess. I ended up with an A on the final and an A in the class, so hey he must do something right.
i really thought he was going to be a hard teacher, but after a few days he turned out to be the greatest!!!! love that man!!!! he is easy to understand!!!!!
This man is fantastic. Just come to class and listen, you will understand. He somehow changes the language of math into plain English.
Love this man!!!! the only problem is his corny jokes!!! he will try his best to give you points in test questions that you missed!!! If you pay attention you will make an A
This guy makes Math easy to understand. It really surprised me that I could be as good as Math as he taught me. If you have the chance to take him, DO IT! As long as you take the notes and pay attention, you will do great! He does tell very corny jokes!
Great Teacher!!! I took him for 97,99 and I'm taking him for 1111. He is a really good teacher. He makes the chapters easy to understand and as long as you do the work, you should get a really good grade in his class. Take his class if you get a chance.
Goes way to fast and does not have time to help. Can't get test back in a timely manner. Math is his world.
He is very knowledgeable and extremely boring, but then it is math. Tells stupid meaningless stories. Not very helpful. I would not recommend him to anyone, unless you do not attend class very often because you can learn everything through his online notes, which was helpful
Awesome Teacher!!! Got stuck in his class for failing Compass test and came out with the highest grade in the class. Highly recommended if you have even the lowest interest in Math.
Took him twice (for 99 & college algebra). Awesome professor who if you just do the work and participate you should come out with an A.
Mr.Hartfield is by far the BEST math teacher I ever had in my life. He makes math enjoyable and is extremely helpful. Before I took his class, I never really understood Algebra. He teaches in a way that makes everything clear. Because of him, I didn't get kicked out of school for three years. Thank you Mr.Hartfield!!! -Ana
I took him over the summer in June.He allowed use to improve our grade if we got more point on like question on the final then on the test. His power points are great and we only used the book for homework which was not graded just for extra help for us. I would take him again but during a fall or spring session.
Wonderful teacher...moves rally fast and does not review. once you have done something you won't see it again until the test...test grades are your entire grade so make sure you take tests well. if you do you are set to get at least an 80
He's very clear. He gives examples that are understandable. If you don't understand something, he will take the time to try and explain it another way.
Professor Hartfield is a great math teacher. He makes things really clear and easy to understand. Some people didnt like the way he would teach, but I did. I would definitely take him again. He is actually a funny guy and makes jokes all throughout class.
Very clear during lectures and the lectures are available if you miss class. If you're not really a math person, it will seem like he goes quickly though. He grades pretty fairly and makes up for his own mistakes on the study guides or tests.
Great teacher. He definelty knows his stuff. Textbook not required, just MML CD. Would def. take him again.
The first part of his MATH 1113 class was very fast-paced, and the tests were difficult. You have to study. Then things slowed down and it was easier. The only grades you have though are 5 tests and then the final exam. Homework is not taken up or graded. He is an okay guy, very intelligent but picky on tests.
worst teacher ever. he never explained anything, just expected you to know everything.
Does NOT teach. Got an A from learning online. Might as well taken teh course online. Got angry at the class for most poeple failing, but shouldn't be a shock. The students did not care. Teaching style was different and unclear. More interested in the smart board than the class. If you aren't strong at math, I suggest picking someone else.
I took him for all of my math's because I'm really comfortable in the class. He's a good teacher and has perfect examples that you work through in class. I recommend taking during summer or like a split session type thing to get it over with cause its super easy. His tests come straight from powerpoint examples. EASY but he easily gets distracted..
Could not teach... It was a very hard class for me and he didn't really teach me what I needed to know for the tests. It was the hardest math class I have EVER been in, but only because he doesn't know how to teach...
Awesome teacher!! Math was si much more fun, and his lessons plans flow together so well!!
HE'S THE WORST TEACHER IV EVER HAD.
I took this teacher in the Spring, and thought he made math very understandable. He breaks down the problem step by step for clarification. With ANY math class, the student has to put in the effort. I spent over 50 hours doing the homework and quiz's. I am taking him for Math 1111 in the fall because I enjoyed his style of teaching. TAKE HIM!!
Unless you're great t math, don't take him! He makes people feel stupid when you ask questions. All homework is on MyMathLab. He doesnt seem to care about his students.
He is an awsesome teacher. I have had this class multiple times and finally understanding it.He is the reason I passed. If he didn't care he would not have given the chance to make all grades better. I like using the math lab you get to see where your making mistakes and correct them. I wish he was teaching the math1111 at night so I could take it>
Mr. Hartfield was a horrible teacher! He doesn't like it when people ask questions & will make you feel stupid if you do. He goes very fast & doesn't like to repeat himself. He says he gives partial credit but he doesn't, and all the homework is done on MyMathLab. Worst teacher ever!
Hartfield's style of teaching is very easy to follow. He gives you access to printouts to follow along in class with what he teaches on the board If you miss a class you can watch everything you missed on itunes from his podcast. He gives study guides before test with very accurate example problems and partial credit on tests!
His class was so easy! He did everything on a smart board and if you missed class he had prodcasts so you really never have to go. He used MyMathLab so we didn't use a book. He was very clear and he gave a study guide the night before the test. I would take him again! Awesome teacher!!
Prof. Hartfield is a great teacher. I was not that great at math coming into that class and my views got completely turned around. He makes everything easy to understand, plus there are podcast if you miss a class. He always answers your questions too. Great teacher.
he is awesome!! i suck at math, ask lots of questions, DO THE HOMEWORK seriously like its 30 minutes of your time, and it will make tests easy. he does explain in detail, also. he is so so so awesome, he makes joke (with punns, and i think they are great)
MR. HARTFIELD IS ALRIGHT. IM NOT SUCH OF A GREAT PERSON IN MATH BUT IF YOU ASK MANY QUESTIONS HE WILL EXPLAIN IT TO YOU. PAY ATTENTION AND ASK FOR HELP IF NEEDED. I WOULD'NT MIND TAKING THIS CLASS AGAIN. DO THE HOMEWORK AND QUIZZES ONLINE AND YOU WILL BE IN GOOD SHAPE.
Hartfield is the MAN!! He is a great teacher, plus he makes podcasts of every class using the smartboard. He doesn't take attendance, so technically, you never have to go to class. A nice alternative to Delbert.
I had a 4.0 until I took this class. Thomas Hartfield's is fat and mean! He gets mad at students when they ask questions. He speaks very fast, & roles his eyes at students when they don't understand. He acts like we are a waste of his time, & loves to listen to himself talk. He has tons of graded homework, and the tests are hard.
Great Teacher! I have come a long way in math because of this professor. That other comment about him being is crap. He is great! I am taking him for trig and doing well. So take his class if you want to actually learn...not be lazy
Really good teacher! Not very easy, but very good.
He has a big interest in what he teaches, & wants you to be able to share that interest. Has great teching techniques that allow you to print off the notes, see a podcast if you miss a class, and print off study guides. Make sure you know your equations because your grades are only from tests, but he does offer two extra credits. Take him!
Great professor, he enjoys what he does and wants you to succeed. Dont buy the book unless you want extra practice, but DO print out his slides. Also make sure you do all of the review sheets. He explains in depth and step by step and covers some tricky little concepts he may toss on to tests. Dont buy the book, print the slides, do the reviews = A
He is a great teacher, explains the material thourghly and his test are very straigt forward if you study. do your homework and go to the reviews before tests and you will do fine. he is a very good math teacher and he enjoys it, he isnt hard but he does make you earn your grade, but he trys to help you as much as possible.
The WORST teacher I have ever had in my life! He doesn't like when people ask questions. No scratch paper allowed. Tough grader. Everything is done on MyMathLab. Take Heather Howington,Gina Reed, or Hugh they are all great!
Hartfield is an okay guy, but not the best teacher. He was very overwhelmed this semester and didn't make much time outside of class. He would sigh when you showed up during office hours. Much of my A was because I taught myself 5+ hours before every test. Okay teacher but LOVES himself and thinks he is always right even when he is clearly not.
If you cant pass his class you need some serious help. I am horrible at math and he bent over backwards giving the whole class extra opportunity to make up HW and low tests. His instruction is very detailed and in depth which provides an exellent foundation for future math courses. Lots of work but well worth the quality and quatity of instruction.
Very helpful, very engaging, he is passionate about what he teaches and perceptive to the class... If there are a lot of blank stares he will elaborate until he feels that he can move on. Great teacher, I would definitely take one of his classes again.
Survey of Calculus is a hard class! He goes over everything in class and does a pod cast so if you miss the class you can watch it. He give study guides before every test. He does get frustrated and tends to roll his eyes when there are questions, but he is extremely knowledgable and he teaches the material in a way that everyone can understand it
Wouldn't take again. I was afraid to ask questions because when you do he makes you feel stupid. If you don't like learning at a fast pace then don't take him. He's very smart, so sometimes he will skip steps or expect you just to know things-he gets frustrated when you don't. If you're awesome at math you'll be fine. Otherwise, wouldn't recommend.
Worst teacher ever! All the homework and stuff is online you just have to print it out and bring it to class to do on your own. You dont learn anything from him.
I would not recommend. He is rather lazy. When visiting during office hours he would sigh and give remarks like, “This isn’t hard,” and face palm. However, at the end of the day he does care whether you pass or fail, just not enough to over-come the above concerns. He gives a great curve.
He is a really cool guy. I had him for 1111 and 1113 and I ended up with a B and an A, even though math is not my strong suit. He does move at a fast pace, but he up loads a podcast of each days lecture that you can watch as many times as you want. Overall I would say take the class!
Awful. I just hate that I had to pay around $80 for his stupid online math textbook that no other professors use so you can't sell or reuse it unless you plan on taking a class that he's teaching again. I went to him for help because I didn't understand the material and he told me to just withdrawal from the class while i still had the chance.
He's fair. Wouldn't take him again unless I absolutely didn't have a better choice
He is a math teacher who cares about you learning the material. You need to do the work and pay attention to be able to pass the class. Showing up is a big MUST. His test are fair, but require you to think. I enjoyed him as a teacher and would take him again.
He was very good. I am not a math person at all but he worked really hard to make sure that everyone had the material they needed to pass the tests. He posts a podcast of every class and he gives really great study guides that show the practice questions worked out so you know the exact approach he wants you to take on the test. Do your homework.
Mr Hartfield is a nice guy. He goes over notes and lectures every day, so attendance is really important. His class does require a lot of effort though.. however if you try hard and go to the math lab for help you should be fine.
Tough class but Dr. Hartfield is more than willing to help you in any way that he can. He explains the concepts and works problems until everyone says they understand. This is not an easy A due to the material covered but with a little effort, an A is a possibility.
Nice professor. 7 unit tests (15-20 problems)and comprehensive final. Records podcasts of every class so attendance is not required but recommended. All of the HW is online. I am a decent math student so not much effort was needed. I made the highest grade in my class. Will be taking him in the fall for MATH 2040. I would recommend him!
This professor is like none I've had before! He is very clear and teaches very well. All his lessons are recorded and can be watched over and over. Drops your lowest test grade plus homework and that's all the grading. Calculus IS hard tho, so it wasn't like it was a piece of cake of class, still managed to get an A tho. (AND NO BOOK!)
hands down the best math teacher! very clear and easy. records lectures daily, so you can always go back and review. curves tests and homework is an easy 100, and is a large part of your grade. take this professor!t
He is very straight forward and fair. His grading is scheduled so that an A has to be earned, but a getting a C is a piece of cake. Show up, listen, and do the test reviews religiously and you'll be fine. Homework is an easy A but not mandatory. Does not play favorites and that is a good thing.
Awesome professor who knows his course inside and out. Extremely organized and great teacher.
Great Professor! He is very helpful and knows his area of study inside and out. He is a little hard to adjust to during lecture, but eventually you get used to it. NO TEXTBOOK needed. There is an Access Code for $95. Homework due day of test. Homework and quizzes online. Takes best one of two for grade. NO EXTRA CREDIT! Follow the reviews!
This professor is amazing. Currently have an A. Only take if you are decent in Math. Kinda unclear at beginning but is manageable. would take him again. Love this Class. No EXTRA CREDIT. ATTENDANCE MAND. ON TEST DAY! NO EXCUSES not even HOSPITAL EXCUSE. Take good notes and study and you can make an A. I Barely studied. 6 tests lowest dropped. Final
If you pay attention to the lectures, do the homework, and do the review, you will be pass this class. He does not ask you to buy a textbook but he does ask you to purchase an online access code. Some of the homework problems were harder than the examples he teaches in class; you may or may not find an example in the notes. He is a great teacher!
First off, Calculus is difficult, and I love math. I'm normally an A average student. Quizzes:none Tests: about 5 including final Extra Credit: No, but he gives a few curve points on tests HW: Online assignments weekly, pretty easy Lectures: moderate, uses podcasts, uploads notes which is convenient Professor: knowledgeable, honest,&organized
No TEXTBOOK! Don't buy it. only access code needs to be purchased. Gives reviews for all six tests, lowest test grade dropped. Gives final review. MUST STUDY! gives partial credit on tests.
This guy is an excellent professor. I am not the greatest at math so I found the course to be extremely tough. With that being said, he gives you every tool to succeed. He posts podcasts of his class online, gives reviews, curves the tests, and allows for the homework to count as a test grade along with dropping your lowest test. Great class!
Hartfield is a very nice guy. Math is not my strong suit so this class was very difficult for me. He is a hard grader and there is a decent amount of homework. He does post his lectures online if you have to miss class. I personally would not take him again. Please take Paul Horsley, you are guaranteed to get an A.
I took this class as a May mester. I have always gotten A's in math so this class was not extremely hard but it was trickier than most. Paying attention and asking question is key. He gave us a study guide for tests, told us the material that would be on it, how many questions, and they turned out just as expected. Would definitely recommend him!
He's smart and he won't be afraid to say it. Tough grader as well, he's cost me letter grades on test. Even if you have the answer right and make a mistake on the work to get there, he will take points off. I wouldn't take him again. There's more I can say, but I won't.
Just took him for college algebra, great teacher. He provides podcast and guided notes. The podcast are great for reference to study as it shows exactly how problems are solved. Drops lowest test score, tells great cheesy jokes and explains topics well. Would highly recommend.
Mr Hartfield was a great professor. Do the unit reviews and you can pass the class. He tells you what will be on the test, no reason you shouldn't pass.
Caring teacher that finds time to get to know the students
Professor Hartfield was a pretty good teacher overall. All of the homework was online, and you could redo the assignments as many times as needed. I will say that it is necessary for you to pay attention and study in order to be successful in his class. Professor Hartfield is a really nice person and cares for his students.
I have a really hard time with Algebra and he allows the resources for you to do well. He posts ALL lectures online with videos on how to work out problems, so unless you're just lazy, there's no reason not to pass with a B. Aren't a lot of grades, so be careful
I am terrible at math. I always have been. I appreciate him as a person and I appreciate the fact that he seems willing to help. I just almost think that the is too smart for 1111. He moves very quickly and doesn't really break down problems too much. Overall he isn't bad, but if you're like me and have a tough time just know he moves quickly.
Professor Hartfield is amazing; however, if you are not a visual learner you may not do that well. Class attendance is mandatory, but he posts every single lecture online with audio and the smart board recording so you can go back and listen as if you were in class. Do the homework it can bring your grade up and entire letter grade.
Wouldnt take him again. Ask questions in class and he will make you feel very dumb. Gets off topic most of the time. Gives a lot of online homework. Does record lectures though
He seems frustrated when students ask questions even though he says he encourages questions to be asked. He is organized and tries to make jokes , but his teaching methods are just not helpful. If you don't understand something his way then its the wrong way.
He records all of his lectures and posts them online which is very helpful. He gives students many opportunities to make up work they didn't complete. Overall very organized and provides great lectures, notes, and online practice problems. Would recommend.
I took him for a summer semester, and I thoroughly enjoyed the class. Partial credit was given on the quizzes and the problems were like the ones on the study guide. Many things were shortened for time (we were given formulas and such) but I would take him again during F/S. He's nice and funny, a solid choice if you're already pretty good at math.
He seems like a nice person when you first meet him, but he can become very hostile towards you if you ask a simple question. He is always sarcastic and makes you feel stupid when you ask him something. He is a very tough grader. Good luck.
Had him for college algebra. All homework is on WebAssign, due the day of test. Records lectures and posts online. Funny and nice. Encourages questions. If you show up to class, complete homework and use extra practice he provides, the class is easy. Tests are straight forward, but very specific with the answers he is looking for. Liked him a lot.
Professor Hartfield was my favorite professor. He records his lectures and posts them for you to review. He also makes helpful extra practice worksheets and study guides for his tests. Easy class
I enjoyed Professor Hartfield's MATH 2040 class this semester. He records his lectures and posts them on D2L. He gives a lot of homework, but as a test grade. He drops the lowest out of six tests. The final exam is worth two test grades. Keep all exam and answer keys for the final as it will help you dramatically. No book but code required.
He always cracking up a joke during his lectures. He records his lectures and posts it on D2L. Expect a lot of homework and it's due on the day of the test. He always gives an opportunity to catch up with homework during a week break of class. I suggest going to the SI sessions once a week if you're not the best at math, sometimes goes too fast.
He's great and funny and all but his teaching style didn't really work for me I've always been great at math especially algebra but, I truly was lost and confused in this class.
One of the best math professors I've taken in a long time. I suck at math and I came out with an A. Has perfectly laid out notes and teaches from those, so print them out. They HELP. Hw was alright(waste of time), important tho. The test reviews were the best help. I did it after two tests and my test grades went from a C to A. You wont regret it.
Prof Hartfield is great. His records his lectures and makes them accessible online for his students. Great for when you have to miss class or forgot what he said during class.
He gave slot of chances to pass the class. If you failed your test he would give extra credit and would drop your lowest grade. He would give a lot of homework but it worked in your favor.
Professor Hartfield is an epic teacher of math. He records his lectures for students to rewatch the material taught in class. All homework is online and gives a review for each test. He gives you everything you need to pass but what you do with it is up to you. You should get an A as long as you put effort.
This professor is underrated. He provides an organized, well thought out plan for completing this class successfully. He does drop the lowest test grade, and he curves test grades. There is Pearson homework, nicely incorporated into D2L. He makes podcasts that are available on D2L; this is an excellent benefit of taking his class. He teaches!
i've only been in his class for about a month now and i can tell you this is the most organized and thorough professor for math i've ever had. very nice and funny guy, very knowledgeable about the subject, and he tells you exactly what you need to do and study for his exams. i highly recommend this professor for higher level math.
If you are good at math, you will like his class. He is organized and makes podcasts of his lectures, however if you are not naturally good at math you may struggle. He makes you feel really stupid for the questions you ask in class. He moves very fast in class.
Mr. Harfield is very passionate about his teaching. He explains everything in an easy to understand way. He's very nice and willing help you if you put forth the effort.
Professor Hartfield is one of the best professors I've taken class from. He offers extra practice problems for each unit if you ask, and I found them helpful. PAY ATTENTION IN CLASS! Review past units as often as possible, and try to complete the homework. Very corny dad jokes made the class light. Akwardly nice about wrong answer, but not mean.
worst teacher EVER! he talks sooo much and gets off topic a lot with"fun facts" that have nothing to do with what we are learning. very rude when you ask a question, and get ready for homework all the time with like 30 or more questions and different parts to it. He marks soo much points of a test if you dont write the full word or miss one thing.
Professor Hartfield was GREAT! I struggle with math and I got an A in his class. He does give a homework assignment each class period. He was not easy to ask questions during lectures. You can always rewatch his class videos. That helped me succeed during his class. I did not take him for College Algebra and I am really regretting it now. :(
A word of warning would be to be sure you are willing to put in the work if you take him. He gives opportunity for a perfect grade in his class, but it takes a ton of work. He is incredibly helpful with his study guides, follow his instructions to use hw and study guides and it will pay off. Attend class, his lectures are informative.
If you're not into math maybe not the best choice, I do feel that he cares about his students and he does make corny jokes but overall the tests were pretty difficult and I found it hard to learn from the recorded lessons and in class time. I might be biased because of how naturally terrible I am at math but I wouldn't recommend this professor.
Due to limited in person time because of COVID Professor Hartfield assigned videos to help cover content outside of class. These videos and accompanying hw laid the groundwork for more in depth discussions in class. Professor Hartfield gave plenty of time for assignments to get done and was super flexible and helpful. Would definitely take again.
I loved him and his teacher style but math is also my best subject. He goes over example problems in the ppt. and explains/works them out. He moves rlly fast tho so pay attention 100%. Do homework to study and look over notes. Whenever he messes up he gets rlly awkwardly upset /apologetic with himself its funny. Many good dad jokes during lecture.
Do not take this class unless you already have a solid understanding of the concepts. I was put into this class after a 2 year break between my last time taking a math class and he was quite unforgiving. Also the homework he assigns via WebAssign is a total 180 from the stuff he expects you to do on the tests. Do not expect any outside help either.
Overall hes a great professor. Straight to the point and makes material easy to understand! You do have to show up to class because it will be complicated to catch up if you miss a day. Gives study guides which is a must do!!! These are harder than the actual test so if you understand them youll do great! :)
Nice understanding guy. I was really confused when he taught 85% of the math and ended up teaching myself. His quizzes are straight from his reviews. Online mid term on webassign that is extra credit for the final. Final is difficult, at least for me because it is cumulative.
He basically makes you learn everything yourself and in class is mainly just doing practice problems. He assigns a lot of homework and you can easily fall behind if u dont do one homework assignment a day. The homework assignments ranged from only 7 questions to 35 questions.
