Toke him for 211&212 and got a B in both. Hes takes a hard subject and does his best to make sure every student gets it. His tests arent hard but they are tricky. Go to ALL the classes and do ALL the homework and it will help you out emensly. Plus he counts HE and attendance as a hundred points.

Honestly he is a great professor. I hated accounting after having a horrible professor for 211, but Marsh made me enjoy going to class. If you consistently go to class and study, you will get As on tests. As far as the homework, it's hard, and you should definitely not wait till near the due date to start it, finish it as quickly as you can!

I took Professor Marsh for Acc 211 for the six week summer course. I got an "A" in the class. He was very helpful and gave everyday examples that applied to Accounting. He was laid back, but stressed the importance of taking the class seriously. He leaves it up to you. He turns a difficult subject into something interesting.

He's extremely helpful. Acc is not an easy class, but if you come to class regularly and do all the work, you probably get an B or above. He explains everything clearly and goes over homework to make sure everybody understand. Test and HW is not hard, kinda tricky but if you learn hard. there would be no problem to get an A

He is probably the best accounting teacher at NOVA. He is very helpful and explains whatever you need whenever you ask. I'm taking him for the next level as well and would recommend any one take him for accounting. It's not an easy course, so don't expect an easy A, but if you attend class, and do your work, you'll do pretty well.

Professor Marsh is a great professor. He is always in a good mood, always willing to help whoever may need it, and just an all around great person. The class is definitively challenging. So make sure you do the homework and pay attention in class. Me and all my friends I've made in this class plan on taking him again next semester for ACC 212/

One of the best teachers NOVA has to offer! There's a lot of work in his class, but any accounting class will require a lot of work. He will go step by step multiple times with you if you're lost, and genuinely cares for you to succeed. Only a midterm and a final exam, but outlines everything you need to know. Not an easy A, but worth it!

Easily one of the best teachers ive had a Nova. He explains everything clearly, and Loves being asked questions, There are exercises every class to help you understand and prepare for the test. It's not an easy class, but if you're a business major, you need to know this stuff, and this is the teacher for you. 5/5 would take again

I took professor Marsh for both ACC 111 and 112. I LOVED his class. Accounting is a hard subject for many and he does a wonderful job explaining it. Pay attention to all his lectures, take notes, and don't be shy about asking questions. With accounting you shouldn't move on to the next thing until you fully understand what comes before.

He really likes participation, the feedback let's him know the class is learning which is what he really cares about, he's not just there to speak to an unresponsive class, he'd probably be as bored as you if that was the case. Good guy, good teacher, the right question can lead to some great answers, take notes before class and do the hw.

Prof. Marsh has good amount of lectures, but the thing is he goes pretty fast. If you're taking accounting for the first time, I highly suggest that you find someone else. He gives three 3 exams that are very hard and you must know the material before you come to class. If you already know or good at accounting, then you can take him.

Great Professor. You just need to practice the problems and homework and its super easy. He gives great feedback and the grading system is clear. HW and test are graded to get your total test. You have 3 attempts on EACH of your hw problems. It'll even tell you what problems you got wrong. dont get it after the 2nd time? just go see prof. Marsh.

Without a doubt, I enjoy being apart of his lectures. His class environment is one where you feel encouraged to participate thus it's not one of those awkward and silent classes. He is great at explaining topics and highly encourages questions among students if there's any sort of confusion; he'll help you out. Four exams, 13 chapter assignments.

He is the reason that I am into accounting now. There are 4 tests, homework are not due until last day of semester(I suggest you should do the homework before each test, it helps a lot). The tests are not easy though, you really have to study to have a good grade. They are not tricky by any mean. If you wanna take him, you really have to work hard

Highly recommend this professor to anyone who is willing to put in the work. Don't just show up to class without any sort of preparation because you'll just be wasting your time and his time. At the very least, read the chapter summaries that's on Blackboard prior to class time. Also, he encourages participation with occasional group work.

Prof. Marsh is truly passionate and it shows through his lectures. The lectures are heavy but that is due to the material that is taught. He does a lot of practice problems in class and does great exam reviews that are very helpful and accurate. Study outside of class too because ACC is a lot of material, but you should easily pass!

I had failed Accounting with another professor the semester before but it was clear to me within 20 min of being in Prof. Marsh's class that I was going to do well in it. He is very knowledgable about what he teaches and makes class interesting. Show up to class, take notes, do the wileyplus hw, and you will pass without any issues

Now this is what a professor should be at Nova imo. He is there to teach and help you; he is a very patient guy who is willing to provide the time to help you in class and outside of class. That class will start out easy but will, of course, get tougher later on so be sure to ask him for help. There are group assignments but individual grades.

Professor Marsh is probably my favorite educator throughout my education experience. I wish I had him in person instead of zoom. He is really caring about his students. He gave us all of our assignments day 1 and said they are all due at the end of the semester. So don't procrastinate and you will do just fine, I promise. Always willing to help.

I took Professor Marsh in person for acc 211 and 212 and passed with an A for both. The class is project heavy and the exams are fairly easy. I am a senior at GMU taking ACCT 303 and the only reason why I am doing well is because of Prof. Marsh. Everything I learned for acct is from him! The class is project heavy, but only because they actually help you understand the material. His feedback is thoughtful, and his lectures are what make him the best prof. He wants you to understand!

If you are looking to major in accounting, please take professor Marsh. His lectures are very simple but explains the material very thoroughly. The homework and pre lecture assignments helped me to learn any content I wasn't understanding. Everything was perfect for me, I even had days where I had health complications and he was super understanding

So overall if you wanna easy pass LITERALLY take this class. The professor is super nice and honestly, you won't do much in my opinion. All you do is Wiley which is simple and in total, you have 4 projects (2 individual and 2 group). He isn't a hard grader and he has A LOT OF EXTRA CRED opportunities so honestly you can pass with an A .

Professor Marsh's ACC212 class is pretty straightforward. The workload is manageable with projects and quizzes, and he's helpful if you put in the effort. Unstuck AI was a lifesaver for quiz prep.

Absolute goat! Weekly announcements with inspirations quotes and updates. Tons of extra credit throughout the year. Total of 50 extra credit points. Its really hard not to pass. Gives life advice during class and owns up to any mistakes he makes. Is a great teacher and even greater person. W role model. Around 3-5 assignments a week.

He's by far the best professor I've had so far at NOVA, he's very clear with his assignments and he's extremely helpful if you're struggling and he always makes sure that you understand the topic and what you're learning about and he's the nicest professor I've had would take him 100 times out of 100 times.

my last accounting professor was really not my favorite, so I was very picky when looking for professors and he is one of the best professors I have had. he's very understanding and will slow down if needed during lectures. his grading is very fair, most of the grading is on McGrow-Hill so make sure not to have any missing work!

He was a good professor, with a lot of HW and activities for participation. Projects were the ones that I found interesting and exciting at the same time. The materials were good to understand since I'm good with numbers, and it was easy for me to understand the concepts in each unit of the course. I had a great time in his class.

I took Professor Marsh's hybrid ACC 211 class. He takes the hybrid aspect very strictly, so his lectures aren't very helpful as he is on a time crunch. There are 4 exams that are all proctored, and a weekly chapter McGraw-Hill SmartBook and homework. There's also a lot of extra hw for 'participation' which was very unnecessary.

Easily my favorite professor so far, wouldn't take anyone else for accounting. He makes material easy to understand. Quizzes are open note, assignments and projects are simple, and he gives you plenty of chances for extra credit. Professor Marsh is also a really nice person and will work with you, so just pay attention and you'll have an A.

For anyone who is starting with Accounting PLEASE TAKE HIM He makes learning so much fun and you just need to deal with in-class group activities Most assignments are graded automatically and if you do well on the course you can end up with at least a B even with some missing assignments He is such a genuine person and he deserves all the love
