This is guy is just awesome. His lectures are clear and simple. He has you do fun activities to understand the activity. Gives extra credit points on exams and exam reviews. this was my first sem in college & murray's class was probably the best learning experience ive ever had. his lectures are engaging and he's always open to answering any questions, he never gave homework, but i recommend you also read the book; he doesnt cover everything you need to know for the tests during his lectures. overall a GREAT professor!

Tests are based off his powerpoints; dont need the book, just take notes or print out his slides. his tests are based off those lectures. Makes Psyc easy and uses funny stories and great examples. Not once did I have to open the textbook. His exams are all based on his lectures. His powerpoint lectures are real easy to follow, and not boring at all. He has very funny stories to relate to the concepts. I suggest taking this class with Murray, he makes this class easy to pass.

Took abnormal psych online. Everything went pretty smooth. Expectations, organization, communication, assignments, pace...all perfect. I would definitely take another class with this guy.

Took his 8 wk online class and got an A. He is very helpful and tells you his expectations. Weekly Discussion Board questions. His research paper is a lot of points but just follow his directions. Its a lot of material for a 8 week course but just stay on top of it and you'll do fine. He always answers your questions.

I took his online class and still learned a lot. There is a lot of required reading and the exams are bit difficult, but most of your grade will way on the research paper.

I took the class on-line. Take 4 exams and your top 3 are counted. A DB post is required and 2 additional replies to fellow classmates. Do 1 extra for extra credit each week. The test material comes right out of the book. Example question: Pavlov got the dog to: a) Bark, b)roll over, c) lift his paw, d)salivate. Very straight forward.

Dr. Murray is an excellent teacher. His lectures are fun and easy to listen to. I learned a lot in his class. He explains things so clearly, and if you still have difficultly understanding he won't hesitate to find a new way to explain things. He provides access to all his PP slides, study guides and objectives to help study for the quizzes.

Murray was such an awesome professor! he kept the class interesting which made me WANT to attend it everyday. This is by far my favorite class in college. You do have to study for the test to get a good score but as long as you take notes, and review them, you're good. He puts chapter objectives and practice quizzes online, what more do you need?

Class was hard, so studying is a big must. Discussion boards were always interesting, and easy to complete. I liked his online class. Just a matter of reading, taking your own notes, and keeping up with the class.

Discussion boards were very interesting, however the tests were very hard. You have 60 minutes to take the test and you better have read the chapters assigned or you will fail. I think a little bit more time on the tests would be good.

Want an easy A on Psyc 101? Then take this class. He is really nice and helpful and makes everything interesting. Just one writing project (super easy) and he puts study guides on BB for the tests; the tests are easy if you study. I could have gotten an A but I didn't study too much for the tests (got a B).

He is a great professor! He explains a lot in his power points but you really should read the chapters in the textbook because it will definitely help your grade on tests. Tests are the biggest challenge in his class, but if you study you should be fine. Definitely made psychology pretty fun for me.

Took his online class over summer it was very easy and interesting! He gives you a chance to receive extra credit each week on the discussion board assignments. There are 4 exams that consist of 50 questions each. To be honest, I honestly never read the book just looked through it during exams and passed his class with an A!

I loved taking Psych with Murray! I took AP Psych in high school, and it wasn't fun. Murray's lectures are always interesting and makes you wanna learn more. I really enjoyed his class, and would take him for his Abnormal Psych class. Frequently tells funny stories. Always looked forward to attending his class.

I took Murray's Psych 101 class and I was beyond grateful that I selected this instructor. His lectures are clear, concise and pretty straightforward. He doesn't assign homework; though it is up to the student to be self sufficient and stay up to date on the readings. He DOES include questions from the book on the exam, so make sure to buy it!

Dr. Murray's class was well organized and clear. Not sure what the last student was talking about who said he doesn't give feedback, I took the same online class and there is an entire section under "My Grades" where he gives feedback (like a paragraph) each week. Overall the class and discussion boards were interesting. Need the book.

Professor Murray is the best! The DB are pretty easy, and he only deducts points if you don't follow the instructions, which is just the minimum word count. If you have the minimum word count that he requires, you will get the points. He also gives extra credit on every discussion board, and that is very helpful. I highly recommend this class!

Took his class as an 8 week course over the spring. Great class, all the assignments were essentially readings, discussion boards, and quizzes. Fairly easy class, lowest test score was dropped, and there was no final, essentially just another quiz. You still learn a ton from the class despite how relatively easy it is.

I found Dr. Murray to be inspirational because during his college years he had a 2.5 GPA and wasn't sure what he wanted to purse. Now look at him! He has a Ph.D. in psychology. PSYC 250 is super interesting and you won't regret taking this class. You need to read the textbook, listen to his lecture, and study the PPTS in order to pass.

Really straightforward class, busy work but super easy.

I took PSYC 101 online. It was an eight-week course but you still learn a lot. Goes through 2 chapters weekly but other than that, your assignments are mainly just weekly discussion boards and quizzes. I would say the only difficult part is getting through the reading. He's good at answering your questions in a timely manner too if you need help.

His lessons and rules are very clear but you have to be on top of it, no exceptions. Make sure your assignments are written well and I will warn you that this class is online, so the quizzes have a specific set time or instant 0. There is extra credit by adding an extra comment(s) with your classmates assignments which is recommended. Good luck!

I took an 8-week course, and it wasn't as bad as I was expecting it to be! The class consists of 8 weekly discussions (that are all really fun and interesting), 2 responses (3 for extra credit), and 1 fifteen minute quiz per week. As long as you keep up with the readings, answer the discussions thoughtfully, and meet word count, you'll be good!

Do the study guides and you will do good on the quiz, which is timed. Take advantage of the extra credit, it's worth the couple extra minutes it will take you to do it. Read the guidelines for posts and replies carefully. He does take points off for spelling and grammatical errors. The best part is there is NO final exam!!

Took his online class. Gives detailed instructions and also gives multiple extra credit writing assignments. Assignments are doable but always be mindful of the deadlines, really strict with due dates.

Make sure to study for tests and prepare well for pop quizzes, that's basically all of your grade. No extra credit is available. Make sure to meet all of his criteria for group assignments otherwise he'll take off points. Let him talk, it's super interesting.

I took his online class during spring 2019. It's very easy to get an A if you do your homework and study for the tests. There are 16 chapters. For each chapter there is a short essay about the video and reading assignment (due in a week) and a 30 question test (also due in a following week)

Super funny professor who really knows his psychology! Class consisted of multiple choice pop quizzes & tests, a research paper and group presentation. Talks super fast & really wants to just get through the material but notes are online so dont panic. You do have to really study though if you plan on passing his class.

Professor Murray is the best psychology professor in SWC. His lectures are hilarious, you'll never get bored! Beware of pop quizzes, but don't worry, they are way too easy. Do good throughout the semester and the final will be the easiest thing in the world. Definitely take psyc with him!

This was my first semester of college and I am so glad I took Professor Murray for psych 101. He made the lectures very interesting and he is a very funny guy, would definitely take him again if I could. Also, his class does require you to study hard for the exams for the grade you want to get.

Professor Murray is well-organized. He made me feel comfortable with Psychology and want to know more about it. I feel like I have enough time to study and work on every works. Every homework is due every Sunday at 11:59 PM. Also, the syllabus is very helpful and provides the information you will want to know!

Abnormal Psychology with Professor Murray was fantastic and the grading was clear, with assignments easy to complete. Along with reading the textbook, you will be set for an A.

By far my easiest class this semester. It is basically writing assignment one week then quiz the next. You only need to do four writing assignments the whole semester then the rest are optional for extra credit. Quizzes are 20 questions but they arent that bad. REALLY EASY PSYCH CLASS. You will use the textbook! ONE assignment a week!! You learn very cool topics! Quizzes, 2 Video applications writing, and reflect your learning writing are the assignments in rotation. No complaints! Great class, the textbook ties with the videos the professor chooses so you get to learn the material in a cool way. Take this class no doubt.

Taking Professor Murray was honestly fun. In lectures he uses slides and gives you access to them through C. The textbook is accessible through C. Also, he will be giving "pop quizzes" throughout the semester but you can guess when they'll be, they're11 questions and each is worth .5. As for exams, there's four but he'll only count your highest 3.

He was a good professor. The course was easy, with weekly quizzes and 4 video assignments every 3 or so weeks where you watch a video and write how it relates to the course. Be sure to read the textbook, as you often use it in quizzes and video assignments. Overall a fun course, and I would retake it if I had to.

Enjoyed this class, probably one of the most easiest general ed class I've taken! Took an online 4 week class with him, in which every week there was 2 quizzes and a 600 word writing assignments. Textbook is free and online, all the quiz answers are based on the textbook! Def take Professor Murray!:)

I took an online class with him that was 4 weeks long and it was very easy. We had two quizzes and a paper of 600 words of how two videos relate to the book per week. The book is provided for free online.

Very doable class and clear expectations, so passing wasn't hard. Professor Murray strictly follows to his policies in the syllabus so try to stay on top of assignments, because only doctors notes/legitimate reasons can grant you extensions on assignments. Assignments are very easy, just keep up with the material! Very funny stories and engaging!

I would take Professor Murray class again online. It was the best class I token it not bad at all the professor cares all about you and reminds you in canvas announcements what to catch up and work on before the deadline. Then he helps you to know what to make correction in your reflection of the chapters so you could have an idea.
