Professor Nuara care about his students he is available at all timesfor questions . If you contact him he will respond back in minutes. He a grades fairly. He make class fun so learning public speaking wasn't to dreadful. He is very straight forward and goes by his syllabus he tells you what to expect. I would definitely take his class again!

By far best professor I have ever had. He was extremely caring about his students, and you could tell he really wants you to do good in his class. He has a genuine passion for what he does and really relates that to his students to help them succeed in his class. Highly recommend taking his class if you need a public speaking credit.

Professor Nuara was one of my favorite professors this semester. He was extremely funny and easy-going. But, don't get me wrong, you will have to do your work if you want to pass! He is very accessible outside class and he is always cracking jokes. He cares about his students and he is one of the most involved professors I have encountered!

This class was a requirement for my degree program. I was not looking forward to taking this class at all. I am very happy that I chose professor Nuraa though. Everything for semester is shown on day one (you know exactly what work you are required to do). The two best things about this class was how fast he responds and how much he cares.

I took this class over the winter semester- which was 10 days long. I was completely dreading this class but I'm really glad I took it with Professor Nuara. Not only was the work manageable, but he made the class 10 times more enjoyable. Professor Nuara is a great guy overall and really cares about his students and I recommend him! He's awesome!

The man is a amazing teacher he legit gives you his phone number so you can reach him outside of class, and he gets back all most instantly. The man is a great teacher and made what's supposed to be a terrifying class fun.

The best professor i've had at Brookdale and at college in general. He genuinely cares about his students. I took an online class during the pandemic and he made four hours of class enjoyable and engaging. I managed to get an A- and would take another one of his classes 100%. He is also easily accessible outside of class! He had an impact on me.

Taking speech again this teacher is what worked for me. After having another teacher and a tutor all I needed to not just pass the class but actually become a better and confident speaker was this professor. I took Tom when I was at a point in my college career where I was very unmotivated and he helped me rekindle my want to learn. He made Public Speaking a fun thing to do and easy to learn. I would definitely take Tom again.

One of the best professors Ive ever had I would 100% take this course again with him. Professor Nuara makes you feel comfortable and accepted and answers every question. Professor Nuara made what is known as a dreaded class very enjoyable. I could not have imagined taking this class with any other professor. I think that Professor Nuara is a great choice for speech class. He stays engaged with his students, and will make himself available to you at any hour via text. He is a stickler with late assignments and absences, but in my opinion his positive attitude and generous feedback whenever you need it make him an outstanding teacher.

Prof Nuara is great. He gives students everything they need for success, including being accessible to students 24/7. The class has a decent workload, but his expectations are clear and not hard to meet. The chill atmosphere of the class takes a lot of the pressure off of public speaking and really allows students to improve without the stress.

Feedback is great, although he can grade a little tough it is mostly worth it in the end. Truly an awesome dude, made the class fun and really helped my public speaking!

Professor Nuara really makes this class enjoyable. Although it was 3 and a half hour each class, he filled it with laughs and personality. As a professor, he was not only helpful in class, but extremely reliant outside of it as well. He always answers when you reach out rather quickly, and provided amazing feedback. As someone who was terrified to take Public Speaking, I am so glad I took this class. Theres 3 big speeches and a few small ones. If you are someone who's nervous to take this class, I promise Tom will help you get through it and you will be so much for confident after this class is done. He is available literally 24/7 to help u succeed.

Tom was an awesome professor. He is very understanding and always willing to help you. I talked to him weekly because I was nervous to speak and wanted to make sure I did everything I could to be prepared/ did the assignments right. The class starts off light to get used to speaking and meeting your classmates. There are 3 big speeches.

Love this guy. So glad to have taken his class. He told us first day to call him Tom, and always wants to make sure his students are comfortable. Good time is given to prepare for speeches as well, I never received a bad grade on one. Tom's feedback after speeches are given is amazing too. Great teacher! I am very bad at public speaking but I got an A!

When I started this class I was super afraid of speaking in front of others and thought I was going to fail, if you would have told me I was going to pass with an A- I would have called you insane. Professor Tom is the most caring and really does this for you, he loves his job so much, and it shows. He made this class fun and enjoyable every week.

Cannot believe that I felt so connected to a class that I dreaded taking, or a professor. I went into this class thinking I cant wait for this to be over on day one to very upset it was ending. Professor Tom always makes himself available and treated us like equals in the classroom. Must take if he is available in your time slot!

Tom will make it super comfortable and easy for you to be a speaker. When I started the course I panicked at the thought of public speaking, but by the end I was able to give an 11 minute speech without passing out. Tom puts in the maximum effort to make sure his students actually grow as people during this course and he definitely did that to me.

Most amazing, attentive, and personable professor I have ever had. Despite having him for 4 hours of classes during the winter semester, he made every day worthwhile. Available all day, every day. Super funny and every day is comical. His personality made the class a breeze to get through. Just a lot of preparation and work needs to be done.

Public speaking is always a difficult class, especially within 10 days. However, Professor Nuara made it much more manageable. While it is a lot of work, he gives great feedback and truly cares about each student's success. He's a great teacher who clearly explains what is expected and supports everyone through their struggles. Would recommend!

What made this class hard was that it was 15 weeks of class compressed into 2, so I spent 4 hours every weekday with him for 2 weeks plus his heavy homework load. I was already decent with public speaking and I'll admit he grades EVERY detail. He's accessible out of class and willing to help. He wants you to improve, even if the class is hard.

I never thought I would make it through this challenge in a 10 day class. There is a lot of work to be done in a short time. Professor let's you know this on day 1 and reminds you the entire way. He was very accessable outside of class the entire time which made for a lot less stress. Would take another class he taught for sure.

Nuara was an extremely kind, respectful and entertaining teacher, whose feedback was always thoughtful and helped improve each students' speech going forward. I wasn't expecting much when joining public speaking, but Nuara made every second spent in class worth it. Couldn't recommend him any more. Plus, he likes the Golden Girls, so that's awesome.

Take this class. Professor Nuara not only is highly knowledgeable and skilled in public speaking, he has an exceptional ability to guide the way for his students to become better public speakers. I was absolutely dreading taking public speaking, but by the end of it I was confident in the skills that had been taught to me. 10/10 would speak again.

I took the 6 week SPCH115 class online and absolutely loved it. Public speaking is a daunting class but I'll assure you that Tom did everything in his power to make this class fun, effective, and least nerve-racking as possible. An awesome professor and an even better person. I highly suggest taking ANY class with him bc he's great at what he does

Overall would say he's an awesome professor. I took his six-week summer class. It was a lot because the course is short and had other summer classes, but definitely manageable. Professor Nuara was great, just be prepared to practice your speeches outside of class in order to get a good grade. He offers great feedback after every speech and provides the class with videos of speeches from previous classes and lectures. Attendance is key in order to understanding lectures and outlines needed for speeches.

Participation is the requirement! Speeches are not easy bc they're timed, got requirements, etc. Prof is great and funny, but tough on speeches. Connects w students real easy. Do the work on TIME bc I was behind and it lowered my grade. TAKE HIM- bc no one will teach you as good as professor Nuara! (He is into comedy-so don't take jokes personally)

Tom has been one of the most kind-hearted, funny and compassionate professors I have ever had and he really just wants to see you succeed. He takes time out of his day (even at 11 PM on a weekday) to help his students out with anything they may need. I wish a lot more professors had Tom's attitude and care for his students' success.

He was an outstanding teacher and made sure to get you the perfect grade. My class was online, but he opened zooms for many students whether they had online classes or in person. He took time to make sure everything was perfect and would sit in the zoom till we were ready. Also, he was very motivating, and if I could take this class again I would!

Tom was hands down the best professor I've had. He was funny, he cared about every student like we were his family, and he was always willing to help day or night if we needed it. I would 1000% take a class of his again if they offered one. His best quality as a professor is how quickly he grades. Every assignment was graded on the same day.

I have been avoiding taking public speaking for 2 years now. It is something I have always dreaded as I am not confident and stutter a lot. I had a lot of nervous ticks and he pointed them out, but never in a condescending way. He truly helped me improve myself and my public speaking skills. He even gives his phone # out for questions 24/7 & cares!

Tom is such a wonderful professor. I have struggled with public speaking my whole life, but he created a setting that made it less daunting. He even gave out his number on the first day, and responds very quickly! If you want the grade, you must put in the effort (esp. for the 6 week course), but he makes that easy for you. When i found out i had to take a public speaking class i was very nervous. I've heard many mixed reviews about a public speaking class. Professor Nuara made this class enjoyable. The speeches were tough but he walked you through them clearly. I totally recommend taking his course!!!!! You will not regret it.

Tom is such an amazing professor! He keeps the class light hearted and it was actually fun to go to class. Attendance is most definitely needed (especially for 6 week course). I went online to find communication classes to take in the fall and realized that Mr. Nuara only taught public speaking. This is such a shame because I have never had a professor take as much time in making sure we were all successful at any level of school. I had his class last fall. The learning environment made the class so not dreadful.

Tom was a difference maker. I have taken this class two time prior and not made it through. His attitude towards making sure all of us get through this class made the difference. I am graduating in a few weeks and if it wasn't for taking his class in the fall semester I may have been trying to get through this for the 4th time

He is one of the best professors. He is an emotional and funny guy who loves his students and shows it. It is not difficult to succeed, but you HAVE to practice in order to get good grades (which he constantly reminds you). I definitely recommend taking him, especially in Brookdale, as he also teaches at four-year schools and he's so fun.

Very entertaining and engaging, cares a lot about each student's success. Emphasizes the fact that the course is difficult and that a lot of practice and preparation is required, but never makes it feel overwhelming. Understands that every student learns differently and provides resources to review important concepts and watch lectures at home.

I'm in the middle of this class for this semester and can safely say to take this professor if you can. Tom is one of the best profs I've had anywhere and he genuinely cares about your success both inside and outside of class. Public speaking can be very difficult for some but I promise he will be the one that will guide you and have you love it.

This cannot be any truer with Professor Tom. Took a frightening class and made it very enjoyable (I know odd to say about public speaking). I will miss class on Mondays.
