I think Professor Petriano is the best professor a freshman student or any other student could have. He'll help you in you need it and he understands when things aren't good. I also took him for a Religious Studies and he's very knowledgable with words.

Petriano is an amazing professor. I was trying to avoid taking a boring religion class, but gave in after I heard about Petriano. One of the best SJC has to offer. He plays songs and we watch a number of interesting films. Take him for at least one class. You won't regret it.

I took him for Encoutering God in Faith. The class was very interesting and you basically, on the papers, could write any kind of viewpoint and be correct. The final was a paper when I took him, and again was very subjective. He's also very nice and personable.

He has such enthusiasm & made it interesting. But his midterm was hard, and didn't give quizzes, but after we complained he started giving quizzes on each religion. His final was easy, it was based on the quizzes. So future classes will prolly get quizzes now on. Our class only did 2 papers, 3rd paper turned into a quiz from lack of time. Recommend

Petriano is so helpful! He made the humanities class enjoyable. We had 10 one page assignments throughout the course which was nothing compared to work from other humanities teachers. He is such a nice guy and was able to answer most questions or else he would find an answer for you. I would totally recommend him!

Professor Pretriano is one of the nicest and most down to earth professors I've had. He's very easy to talk to if you have any concerns and is always willing to work with you. His classes are very thought provoking and you learn a lot. However, his assignments are usually 3-5 pages long and the topics are broad which makes it a little difficult.

We've had classes where he starts a topic and then just lets us talk for almost two hours and I'v learned so much more than if I spent two hours having someone talking at me. I also took Petriano for my SJC100 class and it was great. His lectures are super interesting and very interactive. The assignments are cool and the tests are super fair. He will always help you if you need it and is an overall sweet guy. I highly recommend taking him for anything.

Great guy. Very nice and fun teacher. There is a decent amount of papers but they aren't hard. You will have to read a book for your signature assignment. The test multiple choice are the same as in the text book. He likes to get everyone involved and is very passionate about what he does.

He truly cares about his students, and you can tell he loves what he does. There are 3 film paper, a midterm, book analysis, and a final exam. I very much enjoyed this class.

He is very understanding that many students have other courses and jobs outside of his classroom but he still assigns sufficient work. Such a genuine and great guy! No homework- just 2 tests (midterm + final) which he gives review sheet for. Textbooks will be used so make sure to get them! all the work is due at the end of the semester (2 papers and a weekly meditation chart) and put into a portfolio! super easy class and isn't super strict on attendance

Dr. Petriano is one of the most inspiring and caring professors who I had at St. Joseph's. The assignments he gave were not too difficult and all the notes, readings, etc. were presented in a clear way. He also provided constructive feedback for all assignments.
