This is an instructor who not only loves his job but wants to make it as painless as possible for students to learn. His tests and quizzes are straight from his notes. He will answer any question you have and never does he make you feel like you should already know the answer.

Anatomy is difficult anyways and a lot of material has to be covered. He skips around a lot though and is very loud- great for bringing in a tape recorder but not for taking notes. Very good teacher but seems a little lazy.

The best ever!!! Passionate about his job. Wants all students to succeed- goes sooo out of his way for anyone. Learn tremendous amounts from Dr. Reed!!!

This teacher was one of the best teachers I have ever had. He makes you enjoy going to his class, and the test are easy as long as you pay attention. The things that he talks about you can't forget just because the class is so interesting anyway. I wish all teachers could be this fun.

As long as you go to class and pay attention, you'll do fine. He tells you what to study for testes, and uses many examples from what he has gone over in class. He is passionate about the class, and he make it fun and interesting with some of the most unique stories I have ever heard. He really tries to help the students, and lots chances for EC.

He was outstanding. The main thing to do is study. He gives you the handouts of all notes and they are just like the test. He makes class fun and he is great gentleman to talk to. He doesn't make you feel like you can't ask him questions. Only when it comes to finding the UNKNOWN bacteria does he do that. But he is GREAT!!!! Thanks Dr. Reed!

Tests are easy, lectures are usually fairly upbeat, labs are tedious and unclear at times.

Dr Reed made the class enjoyable with stories and jokes...but it was his teaching style that made the class memorable. He takes the time to help students, offering handouts and answering emails. If only he taught chemistry too!

Dr. Reed is the all time coolest and most efficient teacher there is for teaching a tough science course. He keeps it interesting, feeds you pizza on ocassion and he has a great attitude. I am really thankful I got the oppertunity to learn with him.

He is an amazing teacher, you don't even realize you are learning so much material. I would definatly recommend him, he is great! He answers all questions you have, repeats things willingly for you and he lets you know up front what he wants you to know.

Dr. Thomas Reed is a truly remarkable teacher. I took him for Anatomy 1 & 2 and also for microbiology. I learned more than the required material and it was fun. He loves teaching and offers extra credit although no one should need it unless you just dont study at all. I made all A's in his class. He knows ALL of his students by name.

Enjoys the material and teaching. Stays up on current events in the topic. Uses all methods for diff learning styles. Well balanced class - no snoring. Never dread b4 going - always fun! Gold stars and chili peppers all the way. Somebody clone this guy, please.

Dr. Reed makes sure students understand the course material and is able to explain it at their level, without dumbing it down.

Dr. Reed is by far BCC's best educator. Take him for A&P 1 & 2 and Micro. Pay attention in class and you will get an 'A' as he goes over all tested material, even for the hybrid class. If BCC would only have other instructors like him it would be a much better learning environment.

Excellent professor! I took Dr. Reed's online Survey of Anatomy & Physiology class, and it was clearly organized, easy to follow, and Dr. Reed's notes made the subject as painless as possible to study. Dr. Reed goes above and beyond to ensure that students are on track to succeed in his class.

Highly recommend this Prof. I took A&P I&II Hybrid class with Dr. Reed and I learned a lot from him. Demanding course, a lot of material, a lot to study, but Dr. Reed is very helpful: a lot of hints,preps, and extra points avail. Dr. Reed is easily approachable, great communication. If I need Micro in future-I will take it with Dr. Reed.Loved him.

Very good teacher...Pretty funny...Not nice...He talks down to everyone...Thinks he is better than you...and can be very hard to get along with...Although he is a good teacher...And it turned out I had a 79 in his class and he gave me a B...So I was pretty happy with him...FOLLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS IN THE LAB!! HE WILL FLIP OUT IF YOU DO NOT!!!

He is a great professor. His tests and quizzes are difficult, but he gives you all the material to ace them. I would not recommend missing a class, you do labs almost every single class that are detrimental to passing your final unknown lab.

Dr. Reed is hands-down the best prof I've ever had at BCC. He makes you work for your grade, so you actually learn, but at the same time, he's so funny and nice that I look forward to class! I took his hybrid Anatomy I & II, and you definitely have to study more than the normal class, but he's very understanding and gives extra hints along the way.

I don't see how anyone can get lower than a B in his class. (I got an A) It is a difficult class, but as long as you do your studying, it's easy. DO NOT MISS CLASS, almost every class you do a lab, which is VERY important when it comes to your final unknown lab. I missed one class and had to teach myself the spore test for the final unknown.

Dr. Reed is a very nice prof. and enjoys teaching A&P. He could however, have his tests and quizes match his lectures. He gives tricky questions on his quizes and tests. He does however go out of his way to help answer questions for you, and he gives extra credit. Pretty cool guy!

Everyone thinks microbiology is so hard. Dr Reed makes the lab work easy with his step by step instruction. Take really good notes, pay attention to his stories, it will be on the test! He is super slow to post grades or give feedback. He doesn't go over test results. I think he's burnt out on teaching. He often talks about vacations and travel.

I loved this class. Microbiology could be a hard course, but he makes it a little easier and fun! The labs are fun, and he is very entertaining. He also gives points for weekly homework assignments. Final unknown lab is a little hard, but definitely manageable. Attend all classes and do all the labs - you need the knowledge to pass the unknown!

I took Dr. Reed for A&P I/II and Micro 14 years ago. Thanks to the foundation of knowledge and inspiring a passion for the subjects I have gone on to become an Emergency RN and USAFR Flight Nurse. Furthermore, Dr. Reed taught my 4 year old son to tie his shoes when I dropped in to get help with an assignment. Thanks for everything Dr. Reed!

Dr. Reed is one of the few teachers left at BCC that actually cares about you. He wants you to learn and helps make it easy for you but remember this is a hard class. He keeps the class laughing constantly!! You will love his microbiology class!!

took an survey on A&P on line from Dr. Reed. He was very helpful and provided his home, cell and office number fr his students. He answered every question i had. Make sure you study the section on the central nervous system exdtra hard. It will blow your mind. It was a great on line class. highly recommend

One of the best professors at BCC. Talks loud and gets the point across. Tests are very fair, with extra credit, and lab tests are very straight forward from the material that is given to you. Very difficult to not get a good grade. Not to mention he's just an awesome guy overall

Prof. Reed is a great teacher and is very good about sending out communication. I took him for A&P online this summer and definitely don't regret it. The tests can be a little challenging but the information is in the book, I would definitely take him again!

HONESTLY- Best teacher I have ever had! He really teaches you what you need to know- with some FYI's in there! He relates the material so you understand it to every day life! He is super funny and very intelligent! I HIGHLY and STRONGLY recommend him! I took him for Microbiology in Spring 2012 and I chose him b.c he came highly recommended to me!!!

The best science teacher I've ever had. Very fair and fun in class. He is patient and gives great information. The lab is truly awesome. He makes sure everyone knows what steps to do first before diving into a lab assignment. He does a demonstration first. Loves to teach, you can tell! grab his class quick before it gets filled up!!!

Wonderful Professor. I took his class for Mirco as well as A&P. I wouldn't recommend any body else. His classes aren't easy. He makes sure you earn your grade. But he prepares you well and helps in any way possible. He is great!

Dr. Reed is AWESOME! I would take him for ALL of my classes if I could! He makes learning easy, gives examples and just cares about his students. Labs are fool-proof since he goes over how to do it before class. Your Final Lab is easy and you can use any resource except another person which is like the real world! This teacher is probably one of the best I've ever had! He goes out of his way to make sure you have all the materials you need to succeed. He also offers extra credit. I would recommend just utilizing all of the tools he gives and you won't need the extra credit. I really felt like I learned something in both classes.

This class was the most interesting and most educational class. Dr. Reed is the most helpful professor and his lectures and course are very clear in terms of what to do to get an A. I could listen his lecture all day, very interesting and funny. Very lucky for BCC to have a professor like Dr. Reed.

Dr Reed's lectures are informative, thorough and fun. His labs are well explained and interesting. You will have to study for his quizs and tests but they're not killer. He does offer an opportunity for extra credit but don't wait until the last moment. Do your work on time because he doesn't accept late work. No excuses...get it done. :-D

This may have been one of the most fun courses I have ever taken. I'm not even half way through the semester, and just had to comment on this class. Excellent teacher, and very entertaining. Just be sure to have your work done on time, no excuses!

Very awesome teacher! I am in his Micro class & as long as you pay attention & study you will do fine. The labs are fun & easy. He is very thorough & very smart. It was a joy to be in his class...I never missed it once. I will continue to tell people he is a great professor. Definitely recommended!We need more teachers like him!

Second time taking Dr. Reed for a Biology course. This time was Microbiology and he made it absolutely interesting. Do not expect an easy A, but it is easy to get an A if you actually do the work. He makes the lectures fun and engaging. He also provides sufficient practice work for everyone to score 100 on tests. RECOMMENDED!

I took Dr.Reed for micro last spring and am now taking his a&p course. He is hilarious and knowledgeable. Pay attention to his stories..they may be on tests as EC. He's a fair grader, but he won't round up a grade. I ended up with a 89.4% and it stayed that way. Make sure you never miss class, if you miss one part of a lab you will receive a zero.

I loved this Class, Dr. reed made it very interesting and if I wanted to I would most likely take it again. I leaned a lot in this class. If you just pay attention, which isn't hard because he tell personal experiences for each chapter, you will passed with flying colors. He is very knowledgeable on his topic and is very passionate.

I took this class because I saw that he had good feedback and He is a really good teacher. 1st test is proctored the rest are not. Failed the 1st test and got A's on my other 5 tests and quizeshomeworks. and finished with an A. I suggest studying for the first test alot just to be safe. Every point helps so don't just BS the HW, overall good class

I heard he's retiring in the next year or so but I want to put in my two cents: awesome professor. Dr. Reed is funny, smart, fair. Take him while he's still around!

Dr. Reed is possible the best teacher I have ever had. He makes the lecture bearable and doesn't let them drag on. It is a somewhat hard class but I would take it again in a heartbeat! The labs are super cool and not hard to do and his personality just makes the class.
