If Math really isn't your strong point, but you have to take it to satisfy a requirement you should really look into taking one of Professor Sherman's classes.I'm not a very math - oriented person but in this class I was cruising through Statistics like it was Addition.

Best math teacher I ever had. I'm good at math to begin with, and took Precalc in high school, but this guy is on point. Best teacher, always there to help, even tho most time makes corny jokes but students feel comfortable and enjoyable being in his class. Most important, he has a very special teaching skill that will attract students wanting to learn and look at math as a fun subject to learn. Also it's very easy to absorb the material in his class. I suck at Math. I got a B+ in his class and should have got an A but I screwed up on one test. The guy is a great teacher. Just show up to his class and you will pass. If you put effort into it you will do great. This guy knows his stuff and he is very helpful as well.

He's a great professor. Really knows how to explain the material and makes sure everyone understands while being hilarious. Its actually an interesting class to attend and the classroom dynamic is like non other. Definitly take him if you can!

I for one suck at math but hands down Tjomas Sherman is the best math professor I?ve ever had. I took him for 129A & 129B & I got B?s on both of them. He teaches in a way that no matter what you?ll understand it.

I took him this Summer.He is too good.He explains it very clearly.Any doubt he solves it out. I am not a math person. But after his class I started to like math.Take his class u will enjoy it.

Tom's great, I had him for Stats I over the summer. He's pretty funny in a dry funny kind of way and describes things pretty well. He's a very fair grader, has a pretty good review session before tests.

Without a doubt best professor ever. The material is difficult but the style of teaching is amazing. Even if you don't get math you will after this class. He is that rare teacher who not only knows the material but also knows how to teach it. He most certainly has the talent for teaching.

Best professor by far in the math department. Math and I have been enemies until I took his class. He has a unique way of teaching the basics and doing away with all the unnecessary math lingo most teachers use. He puts stats in its simplest form which until now I thought was impossible

Great professor, is one of the few math professors that can teach statistics well.

Class is extremely easy. You can bring in an index card for each of the test which helps out tremendously. He sets you up to pass the class with flying colors.

Overall, Great teacher. Understands night students work and school is secondary to life. Understanding and very intelligent. A must have as a professor.

AMAZING professor, helpful, funny, makes the class interesting, has review days for exam and goes over everything. I will be taking him for the next 3 Math classes i have, this was a night class so being late wasnt a problem for him, not coming wasnt a problem but youll want to go bc he made the class great. tests werent hard just know your stuff.

If you show up to class and are willing to learn then he is more than willing to teach you and help you when needed. He's great with answering student's questions. There isn't much homework and he understands that the course isn't our whole life

Awesome! He takes his time and answers all questions. HW doesn't count for anything just 3 exams, 1 final that's it. If you show that your'e trying no way you can fail. Also breaks up the time with class discussion about life and politics which is great for little breathers from lecture. Would take him again for sure.

He is a very good professor, he gives homework every class but does not count it towards your grade. Some of the homework questions are actually on the exams. He teaches very slow so all students can catch up. He also stops sometimes in the middle of class and randomly talks about politics and makes jokes. His exams were really easy.

I enjoyed Prof. Sherman's class. He is down to earth and will explain the problems to you in real life situations to help you understand the material. He is understanding and will accomodate your busy schedule as long as you have a valid reason. I would totally take his class again!

Super Easy. If you understand the study guide, you will pass the test. All you need to know is what is on the study guide nothing more! TAKE HIM!!!!!!

Just finished the final exam literally less than an hour ago and I will have to say I'm quite pleased with my choice to take Prof. Sherman. He is a real dude all the way, gives it to you straight, works with your weaknesses and praises all for their efforts. I would consider taking the next level even though I dont need it cause he makes it fun .

four test are graded throughout the class and they are the only thing that he grades in the class. If you do the study guide you should pass. amazing professor btw take him one of the best for sure.

One of my favorite professors I have had at MCC, he is a great and caring teacher and makes sure you fully understand the material, I have always struggled in math and was so afraid to take a math course, yet professor Sherman made math do-able for me. i almost wish i needed another math class just so i can have him as a professor again!!

I had Sherman at UCC. He taught a class for non-math majors such as myself. Sherman is funny, caring, and understands each student's needs. He gives partial credit on tests. I am awful at math, having bombed the AcuPlacer. I hoped to pass with a low C, but I walked away with an A. I'd have him every class if I were a math major. He's the best!

Great professor! His tests are difficult, but if you study and do the homework there is no reason you won't do good on them. He knows how to break things down into simple steps, and truly cares about his students. Always responds to emails. Thanks to him, calculus was not as overwhelming as I thought it would be

Easily the best math professor I've ever had at Middlesex. He is funny, his explanations are super clear. He responds super quick to any emails, and all his HW is online Pearson. If there is something you don't understand during the lecture just ask and he will explain it again as many times as needed. Take his class!

T. Sherman is one of the best proff i ever had. Makes so easy to understand. If you will do you homework and exam review then there is no chance to fail this class. Esay A. Take it you! won't regret. He is a cool guy.

Professor Sherman is able to teach differential equations in a way that is very easy to understand. The homework assignments really help for the exams. Exams were not difficult either, around six or seven questions that should not take up to more than two pages. Overall one of the best mathematics professors I have ever had.

I am terrible at math but I took his summer calc class and passed with a B+

I am a part of a hybrid pre clac class and this professor is super kind and sweet, the homework is easy as long as you watch the videos and in class he spends the time dedicated to answering any and all questions. Also, he gives review questions before the test to help you focus on what material is needed beforehand. Awesome dude.

Buy far the greatest math teacher I've EVER had, is so easy going and genuinely cares about you and your grade.

He was a pretty cool professor who cared about his student's passing. He would stop at a question if one student was stuck on it. He provided youtube videos if we did not finish the lecture in class. Spoke a little fast, but he would retract back and explain everything again. Just make sure to do your homework on time and study for exams.

Very good professor, made a difficult subject understandable. His videos were clear and explained the topic well. Additionally, any other questions were answered in a timely manner.

This class met in person once a week for just under two hours, lectures were given in video form on canvas to work on outside of class, you are expected to come into class with questions from homework & weekly lecture videos. His lectures were very helpful & easy to understand for the advanced material, & he cares for each of his students success.

I 100% recommend him, he's one of the best professors. We met once a week so he provided video lectures and material from the textbook. Although the material was very helpful, learning the material and doing the homework was very time consuming so just make sure you stay on top of the work. He used the class time to go over any questions we had.

Tom was the BEST math professor I've ever had, so good I took both his statistics courses. He makes math relatable and easy to understand while also being engaging and fun with the students. I had no idea at the time I would end up doing data analysis for a living. What he taught me has made my career possible. Thank you Tom!

Laidback professor not strict about attendance/arriving on time as long as you get work done. Communicates well what will be on test and makes sure the questions are reasonable. Made calc 3 pretty easy for me

Exams can be hard, but his reviews are extremely accurate to the exam (he uses the same problem with different numbers). Easy to ask questions, easy homework, hard part is remembering the different procedures. He goes super slow in lecture, but its effective. Super nice, and passionate about teaching. Try not to miss a day, tends to get confusing.

Professor Sherman was great! He explains everything so easily, I wish I had him for all my other math courses. Make sure you do the homework and redo the problems to practice for his exams. They're very straight-forward as long as you study. He's a great guy and looks out for his students, you should definitely take him!
