In a word-AWESOME. All the test info is in red on his powerpoints, available on his site. He provides plenty of easy grade opportunities to "cushion" your grade. A&P is by no means easy, but it certainly was enjoyable in his class. I feel so prepared to enter the medical field, thanks to his extensive knowledge. This guy is a genius!(And a dr. too)

He is phenominal! This man has seven degrees and breaks the stereotype that smart people can't relate to people. He can truly break anything down to you, and will spend WHATEVER TIME for you to understand it. This is a hard class but Dr. Alegre is extremely helpful. He answers emails every day. He is funny and has good lectures. The lecture tests are difficult. Expect to study at least 10 hours a week. Your lab book is your best friend. If you study everything he highlights on the schedule, you will do well. He is more than fair on grading.

Many people advised me not to take A&P II online but 3 of us decided to. We all got A's at the end. He is extremely helpful and he drops your lowest grade. Just be sure to study the red notes!

His lab exams are easy if you study. His lecture exams can be a nightmare if you do not 150% interpret everything you're reading. Do not wait to study. Use every spare moment available or the lecture exam will make no sense. Do not just memorize words either. Understand the concept. He is very helpful and plenty of material to help guide you.

Yes, A & P is an extremely difficult class by nature, but Dr. Alegre tells you exactly what is important and you know what material will be on the test. Study, study, study, and you will do well. Hard class because of subject matter. Instructor lays out expectations and is extremely accommodating when it came to issues that were really my responsibility.

I am taking A&P online with him this semester. It hasn't been easy, but A&P SHOULDN'T be easy. It's hard. He makes you study, but he will also help you when you need help! Since I took him online, I was SCARED after reading the 80-something page slide show syllabus, but after meeting him in person I wasn't scared anymore. Would take him again.

I took Dr. Alegere A&P 1407 Sp11 and 1408 Fa11. He is A great professor. If you study on powerpoints and his review you will get easy an A on the test. He is very helpful, very funny. Best professor in DFW! Doctor Alegre began teaching WHILE he worked full-time as a medical doctor, and CHOSE to give up his MD career to become a full time teacher! He is the opposite of pretentious(unlike other Doctors). He LOVES to teach, and we are so lucky to have him. He is hilarious, FUN, and organized. I just wish he taught more classes!!!

The best A&P instructor I've ever had. Dr Alegre is funny and really understanding. He knows the material and not afraid to admit if he missed something he'll fix it for you. He gives you everything up front so you can study the material ahead of time. You get what you put into the course, that part is all up to you.

Studying is very time consuming for this class because of all the information. I probably emailed him once a day, he responded every time. Just study the review questions at the end of the power point and you will do great.

Dr. Alegre is awesome! I took him over the summer online and he gave me a whole new outlook on Anatomy. His method of teaching is clear and to the point. I've taken Dr. Alegre for SCIT 1407 and now 1408. I hate that I won't be able to take him for Micro. He is wonderful! Always willing to work with you and really cares about making sure you that you make it in the class. I enjoyed having him as my teacher. I hate that I won't have him anymore. :(

Honestly the best teacher I've ever taken. If he taught all the other classes on my list id enroll every time. #Organized #Helpful #Knowledgable ... Amazing professor! Always explains everything in a manner that you will understand it. He's also funny so you're guaranteed to stay awake. Biology isn't easy, but if you attend his classes, study, and look over the helpful online documents he has posted then you will earn an easy A. I got a B, because I sadly slacked off in one exam.

I just finished AP 2 for winter term. Dr. Alegre is the best professor I have had here in Dallas. He cares for the success of his students, and provides every opportunity in order for his students to do the best they can. It was a tough course, and a lot of work, but as long as you study every day and do the review assignments, you'll be okay. :)

Best teacher EVER! I took A&P online during wintermester! I highly recommend taking his class! He provides the book online, so no need to purchase a book & no need to buy a lab kit! No homework assignments either! There was 5 lecture tests with 100 questions each and 4 lab tests. Everything in red on power points is on tests! Take this class!!!!

There is so much I can say about Dr. Alegre. He is the best thing that has happened for North Lake College. I wish he could teach all the medical stuff. He helps you 100% and is always there for you.

Dr. Alegre is the most organized professor their is. He lets you know from day 1 what to expect. It is a lot of studying but, what A&P class isn't? Whoever wrote that his power points don't match up to lecture, is either confused with the wrong professor or having trouble with college altogether. This is as easy as A&P gets. Dr. Alegre helped me a lot through this semester. This is his online A&P2 course. He's extremely understanding if you have something going on. Lab practicals are easy, memorize the red words and you have it. Lecture exams were harder for me, but doable. I'll be retaking the other A&P course with him there is clear grading criteria and a good layout

Thorough instructor, presented all of the information needed in order to be successful in the class. The curriculum is straight forward with suggested timelines to follow, which helped keep me on track. I haven't taken an online class before, but this definitely was a good course to prepare me for future courses online.

I took his online a&p 2 in summer. To people that's saying they're an A student but got a B or C.. It's probably because you didn't put in much effort. His studying instruction is simple. Know whatever is in RED. I would go as far as to say just memorize what's in red and you'll get an A. But I do mean memorize like you know the back of your hand

He is the best BIOL teacher I've ever taken, I will take him BIOL 2402 for sure. Those who rate him badly because they do not really work hard. Never available for feedback, YELLOW in his notes - Seriously? I doubt this people took his class because the description is inaccurate. Dr. Alegre's class is amazing, and he gives you all you need to be successful in his class. He is ALWAYS available for feedback, exams DO follow the bolded material from ppts, and there is NO YELLOW in his ppts.

I took professor Alegre for both BIOL 2401 and BIOL 2402 , I took BIOL 2401 during Mayterm 2016 and BIOL 2402 during Fall 2016. For Fall 2016 his book was required, but mainly just for the practical exams. He is a great professor and if you study the power points that he provides you can definitely pass with an A. Great class and professor.

The teacher was always helpful and answered questions. As long as you reviewed the directions given and read ALL of the powerpoints, memorizing the red, then it was not a difficult class and it was very well outlined.

I normally take classes at Brookhaven but came to North Lake specifically for Professor Alegre. I read some good reviews on here and I am so glad I made the decision to take A&P with him. We're only a few weeks in but I can tell it will be a very good semester. He loves his job and makes lectures interesting. I just hope he teaches A&P II!

Straight forward and to the point. Read the power points and study everything in RED and for the lab he tells you what exactly you need to know for which pictures. Complete the review questions as you go. No quizzes or discussion boards, only 5 lecture tests and 4 lab practicals and review questions. Never taken a science class this simple before

Professor Alegre is the best teacher, he is very caring and will go all the way to help you. He is very understandable, but you really have to put your time to study. Give you 5 lecture test and drop the lowest grade, give you 4 lab tests and drop the lowest as well. also, give you 10% credit on all the review question. Easy A if u study.

I took Alegre for both Bio 2401 & 2402. There is not much work other than lecture and lab exams and the review questions.. He drops the lowest lecture exam and lab exam. Study study study your flash cards, study guide, and the bolded red on powerpoint and you'll be good for lecture. The professor is also fast at responding to emails.

I am taking him again for bio2402. powerpoints very helpful and tests are straight forward. no review but all powerpoints have test Q's. you need the book he recommends.

This time with Alegre, I passed with an A +. Drops lowest lab and lecture. all questions come from power points. If you study power points, and reviews, you WILL pass.

The is one of the best professors I've had so far! I stuck with him for Biology 2401 & 2402! You have to do your part to study of course, but he's very responsive to e-mails and helps in any way he can. Professor Alegre courses made me more motivated to understand science!

I took AP2 online for Fall 2017. The questions for lab/lecture were exactly from the review. If I studied harder in the beginning like I did in the end, I would've gotten an A. The lab exams are super easy and you have to study for the lecture. I received a B. He also invites his online students to sit in class if you need extra help.

His lecture exams are literally what is in the powerpoint. He will put it in red what will be in the exam which makes it super easy to study. He made me fall in love with A&P.

Dr. Alegre does not only want you to pass the class, but he also wants you to understand the materials. This is a big problem in our current education system. I made the grim mistake of taking a different professor for my A&P I and II. I took him in the summer and I was doing VERY well. I only dropped because during the muscle part, it was SUPER difficult and I wanted to make sure I had extra time to study! I will be retaking my A&P II with Professor Alegre! Best prof I've ever had! Took him for AP2 he goes above and beyond and gives you everything you need and more to make an A in his class. Cares deeply for his students and makes his lectures very interesting so they are easier to understand. AP2 is difficult regardless of your prof so don't expect to make an A if you don't study

5 Tests, 4 lab practicals, drops one of each. The lab review are straight forward memorize them and you pass. The tests are harder but he gives great reviews , just know you need to study harder for the lecture tests. Great professor, easy to access via email, willing to work with you. If A & P I is hard for you I recommend you take him!

I dont know about the other A&P professors but I do know Dr. Alegre is the best. If you work full time and have a family he is the guy to take. The study materials is very easy to understand and trust me he will not have you studing unnecessary stuff. The way his material is set up a person could take his class in 5 weeks and pass with no problem.

BEST PROFESSOR EVER!!!!! Took both A&P 1 and 2 courses online in such a short time period, and got an A for the first one so far. His class requires a lot of reading but he makes it extremely easy by highlighting all the key points in RED. He responses email very quickly, even on the weekend! Super fair but no extra credit.

BEST PROFESSOR! This class is manageable online, especially for those who have work/family. Expect to do lots of reading/studying. He gives you all the necessary tools to succeed in his course. I had to email him a couple of times throughout the semester, he always responded nicely to all my questions/concerns. Register early to secure spot!

Dr. Alegre is one of the best professor for A&P 1&2. He knows his stuff and the class is doable while working a full time job. The material that you are required to study he highlights it in red. Even the lab part is easy. Now dont get me wrong you have to study for the grade that you would Like to earn. I earned an A in both A&P 1/2.

AMAZING i took both A&P 1 and 2 and did great, Dr. Alegre responds back to emails and will do everything to help you pass, he tells you exactly what to study, printouts are great but you have to study everything and work hard for the grade you want, the class is doable i made a B but i worked hard for that B i love love this class, SIGN UP!!!!!!!!

He is such a great professor! His course is a flex and I made the mistake of taking him along with 4 other courses!! Bad idea! I was burnt out by the end but if i can do it so can you! Just study hard for lab and lecture exams and complete his unlimited attempts of graded excercises. if part time student take him and another course. better choice!

I took Biology classes from the professor that I needed for my nursing school and l was able to get accepted into a nursing program due to the grades I achieved from his courses. He was very helpful in explaining the lecture content when something wasn't clear.

This A&P online course is the easiest yet most interesting class you can take. The 8-week course was just as easy as a full semester course. Everything is included online on Prof Alegre's website and exams are fully based on the homework and study guide. If you understand the study guide, easy A on the exams.

This class has a lot of work! I did a lot of all-nighters studying the material. I did not like that we had to take the test in testing center but he would mark in red on the powerpoint notes what to study so it helps, but it's a lot of material. No extra credit but drops lowest lab & lecture. He a great Prof. Helped me out when needed.

I took A&P 2 online Maymester, Dr. Alegre is an amazing professor. His instructions about the course is clear as long as you read. You can pass but you need to work and study hard. Took the august accelerated online term. Was nervous at first but this class is 100% manageable with other classes and easy to excel in if you put in the work. Just make sure to print the reviews after reading Powerpoints and study them well and you will be able to make an A or A+ on every test. I recommend EVERYONE take this professor to thrive.

Looking for a Proffesor for an Anatomy class, pick this one. It was the best Biology class I had for the first 8 weeks of Fall 2020. Everything was online and material was provided marked with red for all that was brought on the lab and exam. The material was easy to maneuver and understand. There were four exams for 50minutes and labs 25 mins.

Dr Alegre is the greatest! He gives you a great breakdown of what to pay attention to. For instance he puts that everything in red on his slides are very important to pay attention to since those are on the test. Everything is very accessible! The only way you're failing this class is if you don't study. I would def recommend taking his class!

Took hs class on Fall 2020. By far the best class I have ever taken. So clear in grade, reviews are the same as test. Homework is same as textbook reading. As long as you take your time to review and do homework, no way you can't pass. Professor checks on you every once in a while to see how your doing. Will be taking him again for BIOL 2402

Amazing instructor, well structured, organized and made for students to succeed. Lectures have test inform. in red, study guides are whats on the test and textbook is impressive. Drops lowest test, no extra credit, cares for students and respond quickly. Text book exercises are long but help lock information for the lab portion of the test.

She seems tough at first but really wants you to pass. Do the work and study. You will pass. I must say She drops your lowest exam score. Focus, study, study. The test are given with respondus lockdown. Quiz is matching. Exam is 50 questions for like 50 minutes. Study guide for quizzes and exams is what will be on the test just worded differently.

I had to retake these two A&P courses to increase my gpa for my program. I took the A&P 1 course during the Spring Semester and the A&P 2 course in the Maymester. I do not regret my choices. As long as you do the exercises and keep up with the schedule, you will make an A. You will learn so much from him. Positive and educational experience.

This was my 2nd time taking A&P2, and I was TERRIBLE in physiology the first time. Please, please take him! He provides clear info on what's on the test! He truly cares and yes, it was a lot of info, but you know what to study. He's an M.D. so he knows exactly what you need to pass. Just be ready to spend a few hours studying every day.

I absolutely ADORE him. I felt overwhelmed and almost dropped his class at first. He personally called me and spent an hour chatting about studying and prep. The course materials are beyond detailed but once you understand his style, it's a breeze to study. I wish he had more courses available, I'd take them all!

He is the best professor I have ever taken. If you don't like to read 100+ slides just to study, then please take him! He breaks it down really good and only gives about 30 slides to study! Highly recommend! This teacher has power points, test reviews, prompt email replies. He always highlights the important material so you know what will be important for the test. The class is organized so that even if you can't make it in person, you can stay on top of your work. He gets off topic in lectures, but it's fun (or you don't have to go).

He gives reviews that will save your life, they are formatted to where it is so easy to understand where and what catagory everything belongs. 5 lecture exams, 4 lab exams, 15 homework assignments that can be pretty time consuming but easy so its worth the grade boast.
