The professor really wants to see students do well. Has an official peer led study session 2 times a week that are really focused on preparing for the exams. Grading is based on 3 tests and a final, online homework and labs. Not the easiest material to cover but you will pass if you go to the peer study. Would take her again.

This is a special chemistry professor. She is understanding and wants you to succeed. This being said, If you choose not to show up and do your part you will have a rude awakening. This is chemistry and she is jut here to teach it. Though this is an amazing class, you will fail if you do not try. The subject is difficult and you have to study.

Course material is hard. 3 tests, and a cumulative final, also uses an online HW program. Offers lots of extra credit opportunities as well! Take advantage of her office hrs for extra help! Prof Pawluk is the most understanding professor I have ever met. She does anything in her power to help you do well unless you don't try at all. She will go over homework in class, give people tons of time for exams, and is willing to do what she can to help you get that A. She is also insanely cool to talk to, can't wait to take her again

Pawluk is a very sweet and laid back teacher who is extremely approachable. If you don't understand something going to office hours or visiting her during a lab class is always an option and she's more than happy to help. It is a tough class and you will have to work but she provides plenty of great study options.

She's so nice and offers so much office hours for clarity on certain things. Chemistry was really difficult for me because I never took it in high school and everyone seemed to know what they were doing, but she was really patient with me and cares a lot. I LOVE MRS PAWLUK!!!! i havent taken chem since high school so 5 years ago. 3MIDTERMS 1 FInal. There are few extra opportunities so take what you can! She using an online hmwrk website with forces you to study. its easy. She is willing to give you extensions if you ask her personally. Read the book and practice.

Prof. Pawluk is fun/nice. 3 midterms, 1 cumulative final. Homework online. Lecture slides online but book was helpful w/ homework. Plenty of oppurtinities for extra credit. Labs were easy. She expects students to help each other out so if you have additional questions really use her office hours. Difficult class but it's up to you if you pass.

Professor Pawluk is great. I've never been great at chem so I was nervous for this class. She's such a great instructor that she made this class a piece of cake! She is always available to help and wants her students to succeed. The only bad thing I can say is that she doesn't stay on top of grading so it's hard to know what you have in the class.

For 5 units this class wasn't that difficult. Gives out practice tests for each exam that are similar to actual exams. Read the book, take notes and compare them to lecture notes and practice the problems at the end of the chapter if you want an A! Labs were easy and we always got out early. Goes above and beyond to help students!

She is awesome, very helpful, and I loved those practice tests (helped tremendously) .Mastering also helped and i recommend doing the problems in the text book for more practice. The final is the ACS, so I recommend buying the ACS study guide. Took this class during summer and it was not as bad as I thought it would be! Thanks Professor Pawluk!

Pawluk is very understanding of her students and wants them to succeed. I hated Chem in HS, but this turned out to be my favorite class. It was challenging, but I barely passed with an A. 3 tests, cumulative final, and online hw. Make sure you get 100% on all the HW and go to all the labs. You'll need the grades to help out with your test scores.

Professor pawluck is always willing to help, answers questions clearly, and is very patient. She's lenient with hw & grading. In my opinion the tests were way too hard. I tried my hardest in that class & only got a B. She says herself that u have to do all hw & labs because ur test avergage will Most likely be 60. You have to work HARD for an A.

I took Chemistry 6 years ago in high school and barely got a B- so was pretty nervous for this class because I needed an A for nursing. I barely went to class & when I did I shopped online the whole time. She didn't do attendance but she usually does. I just read the book, took my own notes, & followed the practice tests & got A's on every test

If you need to take chemistry to get into the nursing program, take it with her. She is always available to help through emails, and has plenty of office hours to help you pass. Her tests are hard but definitely do-able. She actually does care about whether or not you pass. Pay attention in class, take good notes, and you will be ready for tests

Chemistry is a hard class, the only reason im passing is because mrs, Pawluk is so helpful, she has office hours and reviews anything you have questions on, she helps you with your hw, you do have to put in the work and time to study and review specialy before test because they arr difficult, but i couldnt have had a better teacher!

Chem is hard, but Tiffany really tries to make it easy for you. She only teaches what matters, and is a very generous grader. She really knows her stuff and is willing to help anyone. Three tests, and online homework every week or two, as well as lab once a week. Offers extra credit every now and then. Definitely would take for all my Chem classes!

Professor Pawluk was everything I was hoping for in a chemistry teacher. She truly cares about her students' success. Although the pace of this classes moves fairly quick she is very clear with what she expects and makes herself available for extra help during office hours.

Professor Pawluk makes chemistry bearable and entertaining. Her tests were basically the study guides so if you know how to do study guide problems well, you'll do fine. She doesn't answer emails however and she made me feel like a nuisance when I would ask her questions after class. It was a solid class though and I learned a lot from her.

100% would take her again! Shes a very sweet lady but she doesn't seem like it at first so don't be shy to talk to her. Tell her whats going on if you need more help or more time she'll give it you. Tests are hard but if you do the homework, study the practice tests you will be okay. Go to EVERY LAB she doesn't drop one but it's easy points.

Truly you do have to come to class to understand whats going on but shes willing to help. Shes very friendly and offers a lot of extra credit. Labs are easy just go for the points but her exams are pretty tough. Homework was a lot too which was hard sometimes but dont give up cause I got a B and never received an A on any exams.

Pawluk loves to teach and she really wants everyone to do well and understand what is going on. She is extremely helpful in office hours and her exams are not unbearably difficult. One criticism I have of her is that she gets off topic VERY easily in class. She also tries to talk about politics (immigration, gun laws, etc.) in lecture.

Mrs. Pawluk is an amazing teacher I took her summer class and it was a hard four weeks but she has so much extra credit and the tests are multiple choice so there is a one in five chance of getting the answer correct if you're good at algebra and pay attention in class you will do fine. She is very polite and cares about her students. The Best!

She gives you work and is clear with her instructions. Not a bad lecture to be in. Her lectures can prepare you for her tests. She really likes you to participate in activities on-campus or science activities off-campus an will give extra-credit for that. She is an easy professor but if you cheat, she will catch you and report your behavior.

I took her for COC for chem 201, she was amazing! Very helpful , tests are difficult and require a lot of studying but she creates such an amazing environment.

You do a 2 chapters per week, and test on about 5 chapters at a time and then the final is cumulative but that was the easiest of all the tests. gives extra credit. you must come to class or you will miss a lot and not pass. more than half the class dropped

Best chemistry professor I had at MC, not even a joke lol. She makes concepts easier to understand and kinda fun, and gives time for people who don't get what their looking at to further teach them. Good amount of extra credit too! Only "negative" thing about the class is that I haven't had another professor as caring as her in upper division chem.

Took this class Fall 2019 and got an F, I'm sure full-time school/work played a big part in this. So, I decided to retake it in spring 2020 and I put all my effort and I got an A. Professor Pawluk its the best professor in Chemistry. She could be demanding but she definitely explains the course very well, so if you put the effort you'll do well :)

Strong Professor. Her kids in AP Chem so she knows whats hard for students to learn. Teaches really well, and we go over examples. Tests are very hard, but she doesnt throw you things you never learned. Everything is from lecture. Makes herself available outside of class, and encourages extra credit. Homework due dates are flexible.

Prof. Pawluk checks attendance during every lecture & lab. She lets you redo labs until you get the right answer & provides homework resets as needed. Her lecture slides (available on Canvas) were packed with info & practice problems while her practice tests were long but reflective of her tests. She thanks us when we point out errors in her work.

Professor Pawluk is absolutely amazing! CHEM, in general, is difficult I took this same course during SUMMER different prof went horribly DONT EVER DO!!! Offers extra credit only three opportunities. Hw is on Sapling must do she continues to open it so that you can get it done. Chem 11 is difficult but is do-able I completed course during corona

Wonderful teacher and human! You could tell she cares about her classes very much and takes the time to make sure every student's questions are answered. She handled the Covid-19 transition to online very well and was very accommodating. The work can get kind of complicated, so show up to each class or you might struggle to keep up.

Taking this Intro the Chem class definitely helped me succeed in General Chem since I didnt take chemistry in HS. Always reminded students to come to her office hours, gave resets on online homework so you could get a better score, and review sessions after each exam. Very cool, flexible person, made chemistry easy to comprehend.

Pawluk is the kindest and sweetest professor I have had. She is super helpful in office hours and during class. Explains clearly and in multiple ways for difficult concepts. Homework is all due before final. You have to pay for the online homework which is the only bad thing. But I found the homework helpful. She is very clear for what to study.

This is by no means an easy class, you will have to work & study hard. (Especially if you take it during COVID.) Professor Pawluk is an excellent teacher though, and is happy to answer your questions. The exams are worth 45% of your grade which is tough, so make sure you study. All in all, I definitely recommend Pawluk, she cares for her students.

Professor Pawluk is one of those instructors that you need to meet in person before you cast judgement. I was extremely frustrated with this class until I met her. She loves what she teaches and loves her students. Her exam weights are rough so be prepared to ask for her help and form study groups! She wants you to succeed, you have to want it too.

I would consider this one of the best courses I have taken. The steps were easy to follow. Even though it was an online course, I felt like I learned so much from this course. If you need this certain class for credit, then I would recommend anyone to take her course.

A kind, compassionate and caring Professor. The tangents in class were issues that were very relevant and affected many students. I HIGHLY recommend renting the textbook and doing the practice problems, which are more difficult than the exams. Almost scandalous how few visited office hours, which I found EXTREMELY beneficial.

Professor Pawluk is one of the gems of Moorpark College, she always brings positive energy to her class. She has been very understanding of the issues the pandemic has brought to students and has been very clear in helping students in the class succeed with chem. I highly recommend her for any of the Chem classes in MPC.

Subject matter is tough but the professor was straightforward with what is going to be on the exams. The first section has a lot of math so study hard for it. Exams 65 percent of the class and were very similar to the homework and practice exams. Labs and homework are easy 100 percent IF you take the time to do it. Also try to take in person.

I took Professor Pawluk's class because I was struggling with Chemistry. I took her class completely online and her class made me enjoy chemistry. I feel like I actually learned due to how slow and thoughtful her lectures are. Labs and homework (35%) were an easy grade but the exams are a bit difficult as they are 45% of the grade.

Good teacher. Took her online course and it is well laid out. Tests will eventually get difficult, but start fairly simple (it's Chemistry after all). There is online homework (through Sapling) that can be quite tedious, but if you can master it then the tests are doable. There are some online labs to take (through Labster) that were quite fun.

I took chemistry with Professor Pawluk in a 4 week long summer course, and while this class was extremely rigorous and fast paced, she made it understandable. Her lectures were very clear and contained everything needed for the homework and exams. This is an extremely fast paced class when taken in 4 weeks but I 100% recommend her and this class!

Lectures were incredibly clear and easy to understand with lots of examples. Homework and tests are easy if you take good/detailed notes, as both were open notes. Test questions were straightforward (unlike many other chemistry teachers) while still applying your knowledge. She is also SO nice, I highly recommend actually talking to/emailing her!

Professor Pawluk is such a great teacher! After lab she is stays to help students if they need any extra help with the homework. (Lectures are online so I found this super helpful). I really liked having the lecture videos online because I was able to pause for notes, rewind to something I was unsure about, and rewatch them to prepare for tests.

I took M12 (intro chem) with her and had such a great experience that I enrolled in her 1A class! she is super approachable and genuinely cares about student success. No curve balls on tests and she makes sure to thoroughly explain every formula/concept before testing on it (also gives formulas on the tests!). Definitely recommend, very supportive!

In order to be successful, you must be willing to read the chapters and follow the lecture videos on your own. The lab is now instructed by her and not another professor, so there is more continuity between the lectures and lab. The professor is supportive and more than willing to help and give feedback during lab and office hours.

I took this course in the summer June to July 30 it was a 7 week course. She was amazing, she really does care about her students and the lab is super easy and makes sure you have it done before leaving the class. just make sure you watch her lectures and hw on time to fully understand the chapters. Professor Pawluk is an amazing teacher. You can tell she genuinely enjoys her job and cares about her students. She allows extensions to complete homework assignments. The class is difficult and moves very quickly, but if you do the work, you will be fine. She does not require students to get the textbook, but I highly recommend getting it.

This class was definitely one of the most fast-paced and challenging ones I've taken, but professor Puwluk did a great job managing it. She clearly knows her material and keeps things moving, which can be overwhelming at times but if you're willing to advocate for yourself and ask questions, she's more than willing to help.

Emailing her can be a little rough, but everything else about her was easy for me. The labs, the notes, even the exams were easy for me. Only the homework was a bit tricky, but it didn't count that much for your grade. So long as you take the time to study the material, you'll be fine. For any engineer or physics majors, it'll be very easy to pass.

This class feels ridiculously hard in the second half of the semester, but if you listen to her video lectures online, do the homework, and attend the labs, it is relatively manageable. That said, if you don't watch the lectures or take notes, it is almost impossible to pass. Make sure to ask clarifying questions during labs when needed.

However, after showing up for her office hours, she really helped with homework, and the more you get to know her, the more you will see that she is caring and wants you to succeed.
