I just want to say that Mr Acton is one of the best teachers I had in English. He is not bias, and his curriculum involves reading novels and short stories from different ethnic backgrounds! If you want at least a "B" in a 1st year english, this

Mr.Acton was a really great teacher. He helped us all out so well, and gave us the best information for writing college essays. Plus he was alway willing to read over essays and help you out with them before you handed them in.

He is the best teacher I've ever had at Cap. If you still have problems with your essay regardless of how hard you work, he is the one who can help you. He is not like other teachers who help only students with good marks. helpful and precise advise!

Super helpful! Learned so much stuff in his class that I need in other classes. Participation encouraged, only marks on material covered, very reasonable. If you need a refresher on basic skills, take his class!

TOUGH ACTIN TIM ACTON!! this class was the best class ever, Tim was so helpful, and he made you actually want to learn the proper way to do MLA.. ok I don't think any one could ever do that.. but still, he was a wicked cool prof!!!

MMMMM delicious!!! I actually took this class 2 years ago and have not found a nicer, more interesting and engaging english prof since.

Nice guy. I just though the class was a bit borning, but its not his fault. Who could make grammer and MLA interesting?

He is a super nice guy.He makes a dull class interesting. He is goofy, yet serious when it comes to getting work done.

What a great guy. He's so nice. makes corny jokes, but at least hes not uptight and serious, i hate that. Hes more then happy to help you with your work, and is not over critical of you as i find some teachers can be. He goes over the stories in good detail as well.

Tim makes a boring class Fun. asks alot of readings from you but it is well worth it. this guy's down to earth and give realistic deadlines.

I though tim was a great teacher. He made english really interesting and fun. He's not easy but if your not a slacker and would actually like to learn something take his class. He's one of the best english teachers ive had

Tim has great energy and patience and is very funny and is careful to show respect for everybody's input.

Tim is a nice, thoughtful, respectful, quiet sort of man... but... err, a little boring! Let's just say you're not going to come out of any of his classes with a newfound love of the English language if you didn't have it already. An easy marker for English-y types but I suspect quite hard for those who are not inclined to write essays.

Tim is a very nice teacher. His lectures are well organized, and from time to time requires group discussions. He refers to the textbook often and is very clear with his assignments. He only marks what he have taught. It's important to finish all homework assignments, especially the research paper.

Mr. Acton is an extremely good teacher who makes the material of the course very interesting and helps the students to see various ways of understanding different meanings of a story.

he is an awesome guy! he is funny and entertaining!! he makes weirdo jokes and tends to make weirdo voices which is hilarious! recommend his class! and seriously if he doesnt want to teach he can be a voice actor!! his marking is okay and is really chill with his students, doesnt make you participate if you dont want, some group discussions =)

Good teacher, with clear expectations and reasonable marking criteria. Encourages discourse and is himself funny in a low energy sweater-vest sort of way. Like Mr. Rogers with a glint in his eye and a predilection for Spongebob. People complaining about his lack of zest and energy probably like Carrot Top and Dane Cook.

Tim is a fabulous teacher, super funny, kinda random. English is usually painful class for me, but all his classes were entertaining =) Watch out for grammar quizzes, they come often. Learning MLA is super tedious and annoying, but Tim makes it a bit less painful. Also, no final exam for ENGL100, which is awesome!

Tim was a pretty good teacher. I wouldn't say that he has the most interesting course material, and I think this class is pretty slack compared to the fact that he is a hard marker. This class focused a LOT on theory, but he is a nice, helpful guy. I'd recommend him to someone who needs to fulfill their english credits.

He is nice and cool like people say here, but he is definitely not a easy teacher. There are so many little things for grade. I receive B+ average in three assignments but received C for the course. If you want to learn how to write a good essay, he might be a good prof, but if you want to get good grade, he might not be one.

Funny guy! Really helpful if you need after class assistance. I advice you to read the novels ahead if time once you get the book list, he goes fast!!

This guy is awesome. He makes grammar and essay writing skills interesting. He's funny, and goes off on tangents a lot, but the random stories always end up having a relevant point. He's super helpful and a really nice, forgiving guy. Marks fairly.

Tim is a really nice, and funny guy. He makes class entertaining, and He will help you when you ask and always answers emails. However, he is a hard marker, very picky when it comes to essay's. Also the novel choices aren't that great, quite boring actually.

Tim is such a great professor. He truly loves literature and made english a tolerable class. Even though I strongly dislike english, his classes were the only ones enjoyed and looked forward to. I highly recommend taking one of Tims class, it was a fun and great experience!

Tim makes a very boring class, Engl 100, interesting. I didn't buy the textbook and survived, but having it would be helpful. He's great at answering questions and throws in some good jokes from time to time.

He is a great guy who provides exceptional feedback and isn't too heavy on grading as well. He tries his best to make the class interesting by throwing in jokes from time to time. Another thing, participation matters in the class and also, be ready for the unannounced quizzes.
