I thought Mr. Bryant was an excellent teacher...in fact one of the best I have had. He made class not so boring by applying economics to each of our lives. His class was one I did not dread and that says a lot because I hate school. He is fair.
awesome teacher...gives a ton of applicable examples so you can easily understand...easy m/c tests and funny/interesting guy...makes class worth going to
Great guy, makes you want to goto class and is helpful with things that happen outside of class if your interested in investing money
goofy and funny... very helpful. gives tons of examples. very nice butt. schwing! -Brad Miller
Very Helpful. His examples always involve oreos, chicken fingers, coke and pepsi, candy bars....Funny guy, kinda random. Tests straight from the notes. You don't have to buy the book! He's a great teacher, i would definitely recommend him.
Great teacher! Always took time out to help students. Very well at explaining, applying concepts. RECOMEND definately.
Very good teacher, interesting to listen to.
Mr. Bryant is a great teacher. He does not take roll but if you dont go to class you will not do well. If you go to class he will go out of his way to help you and he is a great guy.
easy as all get out. Very nice guy. I saw him on campus a year after I had him in class, and he remembered me and stopped to talk.
boring class. LOTS of material; tests cover between 8-10 chapters. be prepared to work. unfair grading. i would say take another teacher, but thomesen is the only other one who teaches econ 3200, and he's worse. just don't take this class at all.
Very nice guy but this class is IMPOSSIBLE. 50+ pages of notes on tests, on 2 tests and a cumulative final. Very smart but hard teacher!
Mr Bryant is extremelly helpful to his students. You must go to class b.c. He throws new material in on purpose so he can see who will miss it on the tests. Studied the night before for no more that 1.5 hours for each test, and got an A on all of them.
knowledgeable, helpful guy. the class is tedious and detail oriented. A LOT of material. be prepared to work. being an economics major was a HUGE help. if your background is not in econ, i would recommend you skip this class. he's funny as hell
funny guy, very knowledgable about the subject. uses examples that teachers should use. tricky tests, overall great class
Tricky Tim is Named Tricky Tim for a reason!! VERY GOOD TEACHER recommend him over any!
The best teacher I've had yet! Mr. Bryant will go out of his way to help you out and make sure you understand. Definitely take him!!! I wish he taught Macro! P.S. Mr Bryant, I know you check this :)Thanks for all your help. Can't imagine studying 17hrs for anyone else's tests but I got that A!
Best prof i've ever had at auburn. Tricky TIM!! Such an awesome person, and incredible fatherly figure :-) Love Your Favorite Student of ALL TIMES
WONDERFUL class! If you don't take tricky tim, you'll regret it. I don't want to give anyone the wrong impression about this class and that is why I gave it a 3 for ease. It all depends on your aptitude for econ. and on how willing you are to work. If you're willing to work hard, you'll get an A
If you are not going to be an econ. major I would not get him. I took it as my easy class this semester and I think I put way to much work into it. I thought it was going to be a GPA booster. THINK AGAIN.
Excellent teacher.
man this guy is great, and he is so cool in that pink shirt. and the ladies say he is a hunka burnin' love.
He's a really good teacher, just GO TO CLASS & take notes, If you study those, u'll do good on the tests, he makes econ easy to understand. Recommended!!
He's a good teacher. Sometimes on tests, it's hard to know what he's looking for but if you ask, he'll walk you through it.
Dr. Bryant is a great teacher. His test are difficult, but if you try a little you should be fine. I would recommend this class especially if you are not interested in Economics because he does try to make it interesting.
If you must take Econ 2020 take him. You don't have to use a book, you only use his notes for tests which means that you MUST go to class each time or get the notes from a classmate. I got an A, but had to sit down and study the notes because his questions can be very specific. Good teacher, you learn economics. I got a D the first I took econ.
THE BEST TEACHER EVER!I loved him and he seriously deserves some sort of award for being the most caring teacher. he gives a different perspective on micro than the other teachers. He relates it to real life so it's better understood. He's 'tricky tim' but if you just pay attention and take good notes and ASK QUESTIONS, he will help you out tons!!
having been recommended to take his class, i was already excited to take him. he has a unique teaching method that i enjoy--taught for use in evertday life. his stories are great, especially since i can relate to his stories moreso than most students. you won't be disappointed.
if you dont want to go to class then, find another teacher. his U-Notes are old and it makes it very hard to study if you didnt go.
He test can be tricky, you have to really know the information. However, he is very nice and very helpful. You must go to class. All of his test questions come from the notes. He makes things interesting and teaches you relevant info. He also keeps you up on world events and jokes around in class. Take him if you can.
Defintely a must have! Especially for Microeconomics. We watched SNL the first day and we knew it was going to be a good semester. You have to go to class and try but it's not difficult to get an A if you study. The tests are all multiple choice. You will love this class. It's fun to go to and he lets you give your opinions too. TAKE HIM!
seriously best teacher i have ever had!!!!!!!
He is the best teacher I have ever had. I actually thought about switching my major to economics after taking his class. I made 100 on the final! He is awesome!!
I learned alot from his class regarding economics, but also about life in general. Tests were pretty hard, so its definately not an easy A. I would take him again.
Great Guy and I great teacher. Go to class and take great notes and you will do well. He is very helpful and willing to do whatever it takes to help you improve your grade.DO NOT CHEAT
HE's great
He is one of the most interesting people I have ever met; he loves to tell stories. I suck at econ, so I didn't do well in the class. However, he did everything in his power to help me understand. I basically lived in office hours. He's very traditional, so he doesn't use things like Canvas. His tests are worded weird and sometimes confusing.
By far one of the best teachers at AU. Skip his class if you're looking for an easy A. I made an A, but he requires you to work for it. His tests can be tricky, but if you go to class and take good notes, you'll do well. Do not cheat or miss class. No textbook required. He tests only on his lectures. Fasinating guy who cares about his students!
The only grades you're given are test grades so it is hard to recover from one bad test grade. He gives barely any extra credit. It is also hard to connect with classmates to form study sessions because he doesn't use canvas. I wish he would realize that giving graded homework or a weekly quiz would force students to study earlier.
Mr. Bryant was a really good professor, but beware of his tests! They can be tricky and sometimes the notes can be a little confusing. He really cares about his students learning the material and will do whatever he can to help. He is a really cool dude, I just hate I had him at 8 in the morning.
Its worth taking this professor simply to get the life lessons. The class is very basic.. he lectures, you take notes, you're tested on them and if you studied you'll pass. If you have questions he's easy to meet up with and offers study sessions if you ask.,.
He is a really great professor. His notes can be a little confusing but I promise if you study them well you will do perfectly fine. He wants to help you and has some great stories to tell. He is always in a good mood and you can tell he is passionate about the stuff he teaches.
The only grades are tests but his tests come straight from the notes. He barely gives extra credit but his lectures are intriguing. He's hilarious and cares about his students. If you're good with memorization I think this class is perfect. 100% would take again for econ.
Amazing teacher! Would definitely take his class again. The material is fairly hard, and your grade is based on only 4 tests. But he is extremely helpful and cares about his students a lot. one of the best teachers at auburn!!!!!!!
Tim is my absolute favorite professor. He's funny but like in the way that your dad is funny. He's full of knowledge and knows more about the real world than any professor I've ever had. 10/10 great guy and great class. Take it!!!
I really enjoyed the both the lectures and the professor, but no matter how hard I studied for any of the three exams, I never scored as well as I hoped. I'm not sure what the secret to getting an A in this class is, but whatever it is I haven't discovered it.
Tim is a great professor and wants to teach his students about life and economics. His tests really arent that hard if you just make sure you have a firm grasp on the material. He tests are straight from the notes and he doesnt put any resources on canvas.
Great class! He's funny and uses lots of clear examples. Even with irregular attendance, it was pretty easy to make an A. Just make sure you get the notes from someone else in the class. He gives about 5 points of extra credit on each exam so there is a buffer.
This class is an easy B and a pretty easy A, if you study and know the terms. He is super helpful if you go to his office hours and review your tests with him. He is also very funny. He gives extra credit on every single test and the tests are all multiple choice, about 40 questions each.
Such a great guy. Take him if you have the chance.
Bryant is a great professor. He tells interesting stories and interacts with the class. There are great quizlets for his tests and attendance is not mandatory, but going to class will inform you of what exactly will be on the test/not on the test.
He is the most interesting man I've ever met. His stories are hilarious. He wants to teach you about life and economics which keeps it interesting. He makes the material easy to understand for the most part.
One of my favorite teachers. If you are in his honors econ class you have to go to class or you won't do well on the tests because he doesn't go off the text book.
Dr. Bryant was an awesome teacher! He really cares about his students and his lectures are as interesting as economics can be in my opinion. He is a really cool, caring person and tells us fun stories in class. He basically makes up the notes he uses in class from his experience, so if you don't go you have to ask someone to send them to you.
Such an awesome guy! The only grades are the tests based on the lectures, so you do not have to go to class, but I do not know how you would pass tests if you did not. If you take 2017 section, there are weekly readings but they always took me a max of maybe 30 minutes. 10/10 recommend!
He is very funny and teaches in a relaxed way. Attendance is not mandatory, but his tests are based on the lectures, so not sure how you would pass if you did not go to class. 10/10 recommend.
Great professor. Lectures are interesting and he sometimes gets off track but his class will always be interesting. Super great guy. Definitely take him for Principles of Micro if you plan on it!
Dr. Bryant is the most caring prof. at Auburn. His lectures are fantastic and he truly wants his students to understand the material while creating a relationship with you as well. He is so passionate about what he teaches, and he wants to make an impact on his students' lives. I wish I could take him again, such a good man. Take his class, please!
You won't find a better teacher than Bryant at Auburn. I was so lucky to have him my fall semester of freshman year. Great lectures, includes personal stories and if you put in effort you will receive a good grade.
Truly one of the best teachers I've ever had. I always looked so forward to attending his class. He's so funny and has many great stories. He likes getting to know his students, so make sure to be kind to him. The four tests are hard because you have to truly understand the material, but if you actively pay attention in class, you'll be fine.
He's kind of a weird guy, but this class is an easy A if you put in the effort. Take notes on the lectures, make a quizlet, and do the test homework and you'll be fine. He's very relaxed and an easy grader. Get ready for some stories mixed in with lectures. He is very kind!
It was my first day of class and I can already tell that Mr. Bryant will be my favorite teacher BY FAR. He is old school in his teaching approach, but very organized. He likes to talk about things other than lecturing the entire class and plans on having our class be more discussion-based after receiving the notes beforehand. He is exceptional
This is only his third time teaching MacroEcon, so hes still developing his class. He gives you the notes upfront, so attendance is up to you, but he likes to tell stories and gives you any help you need. You only have four 25-question multiple choice exams, no curve, no other assignments, so make sure you study and you'll be fine.
Best professor I have ever had. His lectures do get confusing but he tries his hardest to help everyone understand and is an extremely funny guy. Overall great experience in his class.
Professor Bryant goes above and beyond for his students, and always has their best interest at heart. His lectures will make you laugh, and he gives good examples to help explain the material. Although attendance isnt mandatory, go anyways. It makes studying for the exams 100x easier. Don't be afraid to go to his office hours, he is there to help!!
Prof. Bryant is such a great professor. Although I'm not a big fan of econ, he made it easier. His tests have been fairly easy so far. 4 tests and a final, plus 10 short-response papers. His lectures are hard to follow but he loves his students and wants everyone to do well--provides good examples so that you can understand better. Amazing stories!
Great teacher. He cares a lot about his students. His lectures can be interesting, and he tries to make class enjoyable. He is always there to help a student when they ask a question. I really liked going to his class because he is such a chill teacher and doesn't stress people out like some other teachers. Make sure you take good notes.
My favorite professor for sure. I was worried about micro because I didn't do great in macro, but he made class so enjoyable and easy to understand. Also threw in some life lessons throughout the year. Super caring and engaging with the class. Get to know your classmates and have a gc in case you miss a class because he doesn't post notes.
Tim Bryant is amazing. His class is the only class I looked forward to going to and if you look past his craziness there is a lot you can learn. Very easy if you go to class and take notes. Also do not miss the weekly homework because he will put in a 0 and it drops your grade heavily. He is entertaining and I 100% recommend him over any teacher.
I have him for ECON 2027 and it is one of my favorite classes Ive ever had. I had a hard time with econ in hs but Dr. Bryant makes it interesting and easier to understand. He has a more philosophical approach to economics which makes it much more interesting
I LOVE this professor! He is so sweet and so good at teaching. The tests are an accurate reflection of what you learn. He makes the content interesting and always makes the funniest comments. Genuinely such an awesome teacher. The class is so easy to get in A in if you just try. TAKE BRYANT!!!
Dr. Bryant is by far my favorite professor at Auburn. He makes the lectures engaging by using real-world examples and his tests are very straight forward. He truly wants you to succeed in his class.
Tim is great especially if you take his honors class. He tells fun stories during the lectures and will work with you if you need to improve your grade or get extra credit.
This guy rocks, one of my favorites. Makes class interesting and you actually understand it. Study for his tests though, but if you struggle go to his office hours he cares a lot and is very helpful. Seriously take him. Lecture heavy but it's worth it.
Great professor. Says some questionable things sometimes but overall his lectures are pretty entertaining. Tests you have to be very prepared for if you want an A, but it is doable. Only grades are the four exams so be prepared for that also.
He is a great professor. Attendance is not mandatory, but learn from my mistakes. While I passed the class, I could have done so much better if I had gone to class regularly. He includes a lot of life lessons and stories in his lectures to so its always interesting.
Overall, I really enjoyed his class. I needed to work to earn a good grade, but it was definitely attainable. I would recommend going to class and taking notes then completing his reviews for his test. If you put work in, you will enjoy his class.
Honestly just show up to lectures and TAKE NOTES. His class was so easy and truthfully I never paid attention during lectures I just copied every he wrote on the board down and then studied everything about a week before the test. 4 tests and 10 easy reading reflections of your in honors. Highly recommend this class!!
I highly recommend him because he was an entertaining person in class and always wanted us to do well. 4 test and that is your grade, but I like classes that do so. Gives extra credit on most test, usually 5 points. Test are pretty easy if you attend class and take notes.
Such an amazing proffessor. Cares about his students and is always willing to help when you need it. Attendance not mandatory but going to class makes the class so much easier. Only grades are the 4 tests. Tests are pretty straight forward if you know the material. Can't recommend him enough!!!!!
You can only get the notes if you go to class. Memorize the notes and you will do great on the tests. He has interesting lectures. I studied for 4 hours max for each test. Honors part was 10 essays on a reading, each 1 1/2 page double spaced. Super easy, basically just get to rant about your opinions.
Such a great professor who really cares about his students. He's very genuine and has some very interesting stories about his life. 3 tests and a final, but honors has 10 readings that help out. Definitely go to class and take notes because he does not post any of them unless he is sick.
I really liked him and he was super nice. Attendance wasn't technically mandatory, but all of his notes were written out on a whiteboard and there was no way to make up the notes if you weren't present. My only problem is that the only grades in this class are the 4 exams. Just study hard and you should be fine.
So nice and genuinely wants students to do well. Class is not mandatory but he does not post the notes so you kind of have to go to get the information because his specific lessons are not universal. He is entertaining. Your final grade is just the 4 exams. Final is not cumulative. Would definitely take him again if I could.
I loved Dr. Bryant for Micro; he made the class engaging, always told funny stories, was easy to talk to, and made his tests directly from his notes. As long as you come to class, take notes, and study them exactly, you will have an A.
THE G.O.A.T dude will forever be missed by the Auburn campus, enjoy retirement Dr T
